And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?
Our blood has bought their lives.
Yeah Weth and haviz, you shouldn’t enter the high level fractals if you aren’t ready.
So, I’m just a little confused because I really haven’t gotten into actual fractals yet since the patch. What is the agonizing expedition? Does it make agony more effective? Does it require more?
I have 55 ar.
But I do not see the point of having this instability at X0 levels (40, 50, …). It basically makes whole agony mechanic pointless or forces you to skip those levels. Before this great and awesome update you could do tier 40-49 with 45 AR. This update lowered required ar (55ar to get 1%/tick, before that was 6%/tick) yet you need more ar to do first level of that tier.
I do not compute.
I hope you knew i was being sarcastic with my first sentence. I was mocking the guy above me.
This update is silly. We know this.
How about the amount of gems we spent on our fractal weapons and the transmute crystals? How about the weapons we got that aren’t skins (they say it’s a technical issue with these, but they literally could put an npc like the gathering tool one so we could exchange). These are monetary and reward issues. Do we deserve compensation? Or do we not deserve anything at all, according to you?
That tools things is stupid and those people shouldn’t have gotten anything at all. I’m totally on board with that. I really can’t imagine why they gave in to that one at all, let alone is short order. They wanted a tool for each of their characters, so they bought one for each. That was wrong.
They shouldn’t have? That was the only possible outcome, according to some people in this forum.
A coin can only land on heads. Obviously.
Unless we discuss alternate realities of course.
Quantum fizzics ftw.
I’m still very glad that the armor got such a quick and appropriate response, while this issue continues to be in discussion.
Although I would not like to see “Nope, sorry guys, this is in the best interest of the game”, it would still be better than silence.
I can only assume that there is as much debate in meetings as there is on the forums
I sure hope so….
I hope they’re not just in their meetings, laughing at us….

The same sex marriage thing, anet has made a statement with it already, with Caithe at least and one Rata Sum female Asura npc who talks about her girlfriend.
This is why we are mad at people like you for arguing with us. These pages of complaints might have gotten a response if you hadn’t spent so much energy devaluing our claims… We might have gotten something, instead, we get ignored.
Does that actually seem even remotely reasonable? Do you think there weren’t just as many people “devaluing” the claims of the infinite tool complaints? Really? That’s how it works. Someone comes up with a thing to complain about and someone else points out why it’s silly, or why it won’t work. In very few cases is a thing so reasonable that no one speaks against it, and do you know what happens with those? Still usually nothing. I didn’t keep your precious “compensation” from being a reality. It simply wasn’t going to happen.
There weren’t. I actually followed those threads. So…. Yeah.
I’m just saying you guys didn’t have to make it difficult for us to ask. You guys didn’t have to devalue us.
I disagree. I consider it my responsibility to speak against things I don’t believe in.
Well, good day then. I can see there really is no discussion here. You didn’t feel the need to do the same to those asking for compensation for their gathering tools, nor the whole armor fiasco, but for some reason, this matters to you, so meh.
Good day, sir.
I only follow three forums, Suggestions, Rangers, and the latest Living Story. Those didn’t take place in those forums, this one did.
Then I wish the thread had stayed in the dungeon or the general discussion forum.

Fascinating. Sounds like the opposite of what they feel.
We can’t actually keep it… When they make the new one ours will be replaced with the new one.
you don’t like it? you can git out!
just kidding, but I’ve already gotten over it.
Cool for you.
is this asking which class or which armor to use?
If it’s class, I recommend elementalist. here’s mine. The armor wont be available aymore, but I think the ele is great for a norn. Also, the new ele staff build is powerfl for PvE
If it’s armor, for a dainty looking norn, i liked the Winged armor (the top is the part fo winged i really like ). (pic 2 )
For a more traditional norn, the cultural t2 and t3 are awesome.

There’s the in game lfg which you can access using your friends list, people are using that nowadays.
The rest idk, haven’t had the chance to play the content yet.

As for your Fractal Items. That’s a tough one. Since they’re level 80 and transmuting level 80 items required the rarer and typically purchased item it’s tougher, but I think I have to go with no. I know it sucks, but the same goes for every other level 80 item with a unique appearance. Dungeon and Cultural items for instance. They’re not skins, so you first have to buy them, then transmute them.
They’re fixing a mistake that didn’t have options at the time. Skins weren’t really introduced until later. I’m hoping they’ll apply them to all types of items in the future, but I won’t feel put off for the number of Crystals I would therefore have wasted by transmuting all those pieces of level 80 gear. Be happy that it will be easier to deal with in the future, and consider the cost the price of having them early in the life of the game.
Well, this isn’t the case for me, but for people who reached lvl 80 they pretty much had all if the fractal weapons they could have wanted, and transmuted all of them. So they don’t have a “future” use for skins. They used the crystals. Now others who get the weapons don’t have to.
I just feel like they are catering to certain groups, but completely ignoring us. Why do the infinite tool people get what they want, but we’re not even spoken to? Why does it take 5 pages of complaints about the flame kissed armor for them to act, but 40+ pages of complaints about this doesn’t get a response.
This is why we are mad at people like you for arguing with us. These pages of complaints might have gotten a response if you hadn’t spent so much energy devaluing our claims… We might have gotten something, instead, we get ignored.
Here’s my norn. I bought midnight ice and a makeover kit o make her perfect. makes me sad.
Ahh grats guys!
Kal, so what do you know about the company that we don’t? They compensated those with the infinite tools, despite those people not actually losing anything, and they really didn’t actually have to do that. What made this case different? I’m seriously wondering where the difference is.
What compensation are we talking about here? I have infinite tools and I don’t recall anyone compensating me for anything. Unless you mean the conversion from soulbound to account bound. If that’s what we’re talking about then, yeah, that’s because of the potential use of real money. Since they changed how the tools work, and real money could have been used to buy them, they were obligated to ensure anyone who got them could convert them.
If we’re talking about something else, I don’t know it, and I haven’t gotten anything for it. Granted I also haven’t even bothered to convert my tools cause I don’t have any intention of trading them between characters.
This is why I keep explaining that you’re using the word Equity wrong. So is the guy in that article, though he is fairly clever in trying to connect the dots between your home and your game. He’s still wrong about what equity actually is. It has nothing to do with your time or your knickknacks or anything like that. It has to do with actual physical and definable value, not intangible emotional value.
Your Fractal level has no value except that intangible emotional one. That can’t be monetized and therefore can’t be effectively used to gauge the worth of doing anything. Some people, like you guys, care deeply about it. Others don’t care nearly so much and just move forward to play the game.
Is it worth putting in the effort to appease maybe ten people when thousands more just accepted it and moved on?
It’s not as simple as only 10 people, but I digress.
The tools thing was this, people bought several of the tools for their alts (one person bought 23 in total). They were mad when the tool became account bound and wanted compensation for the ones they bought extra soul bound. They got it, basically no questions really asked.
And okay, our level, fine we’ll just pretend that you’re right since you’re not giving it up, though I certainly feel you’re wrong. Courts find equity in things like pain and suffering, loss of family members, and things that are actually priceless. It’s a subjective sort of thing, but again, this isn’t my point ATM.

I like this idea, though I’m not artistic enough to participate. I’d love to see other players creativity!
Sorry, I didn’t know you’re a woman.
Regarding the text, yes, I know, I read above: I’m only playing the devil’s advocate. :p
Lols
The second part was directed at Phys
phys, maybe he wants the challenge in the appropriate order, making 43-44 after 49-50 ;-)
It’s like when a network broadcasts episode 4 before 3, when it’s broadcast you actually don’t know, but you understand when you see 3 afterwards. So all subsequent watchers can watch 3 before 4.

But actually it’s more of the fact that having to reduce damage will lengthen the fractal time. I just don’t have that amount of time, at once, to play the game. My husband gets very jealous of the game if I’m on for too long, so I would never be able to finish it.
Ah yeah I have 55 ar so I’m good
It would be different if I actually had time to play. Challenges would be nice then.
I’m really glad to see that there aren’t as many people devaluing us here.
Really good to see.
As for the grind to fractals, yeah. I don’t have as much time to play anymore, so I’ll be stuck at 30 for a while. It’s a grind for me. I will miss my weekend 48s, that I used to do with friends. Now they are grinding to get to 50. Will they have any interest in going below their level to go with me to 30, 40, then eventually 50? Likely not, it’ll take 10-20 weeks for me to grind the levels I lost, and that’s if I fotm every time I sign on.If they decide to do dailies at certain scales, like 48 or 49, you can join them and skip all the instabilities, all the way to that scale.
Ironic when you look at the argumentations of people here.
That’s true. I should try that hehe. Definitely skipping the 43 and 44? The damage ones. Lol
When I check my deaths and age, it basically says I die more than 1 time every hour I play. This is actually because when I first started my ele, I was in clerics, and I tried to heal the damage rather than dodge it, and then I used VPT and I died because I took damage that I shouldn’t have taken.
Since I got the zerker gear I’m much more alert when I play. I don’t die as much, but I still go down, but the damage I do actually helps me rally more I so than in the other armors.
In groups, I find that while my friends in soldiers and clerics gear take the agro, and I’m able to damage the boss, it would go much quicker if we were all beating the heck out of the boss instead of just one or two people actually making dents in the health pools.
Now, granted, I’m a sucky player, but I find that no one complains when I use fgs and lh for massive damage, but if they’re typical pugs they get mad if I do go downed, once I’m out of stamina and evades. Pugs are silly. It’s a tough gig.
Having a couple sets of gear is a good idea, I think. If you’re in a pug that’s getting kitten y about you going down, switch gear, never die, but never do anything for them, either.
Always makes me smile.
I’m really glad to see that there aren’t as many people devaluing us here.

There’s a bit of a difference be elitist and running an efficient build for PvE dungeons.
Think of it this way, if I just joined your WvW guild and told you’re leadership that I want to run a full glass cannon build/gear, would they advice me against that? Are they being elitist if they do advice me away from that to something that stands a chance of living for more then 6 seconds? I would say no, they are being veterans in their field (WvW) and guiding me as a newcomer to what works best.
That said, cleric/shoutheal war is not an efficient build for dungeons and any of the veterans in this forum are going to want to lead you to what works best (the berserker builds) to have smooth dungeon running experience.
So, if you’re willing to change your build and get new gear (which will be easy through CoF and CoE), then I’m am sure there are plenty of people on this forum that would love to help you and teach you how to live using such an offensive build.
But, if you want to be an elitist about your build/gear and claim you don’t need to change it, I doubt you will find the party you are looking for here.
Very well said. And polite.
Other thing I might say, if you can’t find anyone here, pugging is a good way to meet new people and friends. 66% of the time you’ll meet people you’ll never ever want to run with again! but the rest of the time you have opportunities to make a lot of friends! and thus a larger dungeon group pool for when you feel like doing them.
What about the armor which actually nobody lost? If people can complain about that why can’t we when we actually lost something?
They won’t let us ask in peace probably because they are too petty to admit that anet’s handling of this was extremely wrong and unfair, so they don’t want to contradict their past posts. Instead of not posting they still vehemently deny that any wrong actually happened, and thus they are reinforcing their past ideas to compensate.
The armor impacted the goals and accomplishments of many months of past players. Reverting has just made your character go back 24h or so. You were happy enough to play without this armor. Big difference, eh?
I wanted to reword this. “The level reset impacted the goals and accomplishments of many months of past players. To revert the change will just make your characters go back 24 hours or so. You were happy enough before you started going into fractals again, right?”
Big difference indeed.
Bed time now.
Yeah but this is sorta a crafting question.
But that’s okay.
Yeah Moshari, you’re supposed to be the level headed one. Lol.
But yeah maybe we should demand gems.
The bigger problem is the set in a whole the light wasnt the only unoriginal set all 3 look like something we already have in game. So if you have this armor already now you can get it with flames oh boy so special, if you guys wanna make new armor make NEW skinned armor not old stuff rehased.
I agree with this too.
Should we start explaining devs as well how much Crystals we used on fotm skins?
They wouldn’t want to hear it.
They would say it’s too difficult tom deal with technically. We are not the majority of the player base, screw us.
Hahahahahaha
They’re totally listening to ‘our’ Feedback.Stupid skin way more important than the effort people put into leveling fractals to 80.

Clearly stuff happens with enough support/whining.
Thanks for all the people who didn’t let us have a chance. Hopefully you feel good about yourself.
This. If you had let us ask rather than devaluing us and our claims we could have been considered, instead you ruined our chance at it. Thanks.
I honestly don’t even know what to say. I agree with their decision on the T3 armor….it became devalued (time wasted) to grind for it as a human when they released it in the gem-store….so they SHOULD change it. But the fact that they still don’t even acknowledge that we exist or have a valid concern still bothers me immensely. We have been talking for over a week, with 16 pages of thread, most of which was valid discussions and we get nothing. People complain for 1 day with barely half the size of the thread, and they not only get a response, they get action.
It seriously makes me lose all faith in the company. I love the game, I love the gem shop, and it doesn’t matter to them. It just doesn’t. They don’t care about us, fractals, or anything outside of their gem shop.
Believe me, OP, it wasn’t because they were active on the forum.
It was because anet takes it’s gemstore very seriously, and not the game.
I will direct you to my thread in the fractured forum, and there were 2 threads before it with the same amount of posts, and we did not get a response or a solution.
Gem store >> game problems

T3 is for my ele Asura <3 I can’t get into the heavy, though. Hehe
The difference is that the tools had to do with real money while Fractal levels did not.
They weren’t compensated with real money.
The tool got better. It improved its functionality. And they got compensated. Regardless of real money, if they bought them with gold, they still were reimbursed gems.
Kal, so what do you know about the company that we don’t? They compensated those with the infinite tools, despite those people not actually losing anything, and they really didn’t actually have to do that. What made this case different? I’m seriously wondering where the difference is.
I’m just still wondering why.people with the infinite tools were compensated despite not technically losing anything and we are forever ignored.
If we don’t let the thread die we can show we haven’t let it go. Is that okay with you kal? Is it okay if we keep trying?
I could have spent that time working and getting money.
I like this point.
That’s the problem. Compensation given was never going to happen. Never. Period. You chose not to see the truth of that, but it is a reality. The only actually legitimate outcome in all this was 1) No compensation given. You can and have disagreed about this, but it is a fact and always has been.
You said ‘not possible’. It is possible, no matter how improbable. look up quantum physics and you will understand a little more.
Yeah, that doesn’t make a thing possible. Quantum requires alternate realities to allow everything to be possible. We’re not in multiple realities. We’re in this reality, and in this reality it wasn’t going to happen, and didn’t.
I just wanted to say, as an actual physicist, you are wrong.
Quantum physics does not require alternate realities. It has to do with the probability that a particle is in a particular state.
Anyway because this is now off topic lemme just get it back on topic.
Kal, how do you feel about the equity idea when it comes to human light t3?
A particle being in a particular state isn’t the same thing as everything being possible, even things that aren’t possible. Anyone being compensated for this was not possible. It wasn’t going to happen. Therefore, in order for Quantum to be relevant to the argument you have to be taking into account for unlimited possibility where I could flip a coin and have it come up broccoli. That’s not going to happen, but is technically possible. It’s still a pointless argument.
As for human light t3, I’m not familiar with the argument. I find most human cultural armor to be pretty ugly, and/or dumb.
I didn’t bring it into the argument, so, meh. Do you think you know for a fact what anet thinks. That’s the only way you could possibly know that there wasn’t ever going to be compensation.
My question is, people spent 120 g for their armor, now it’s in the gem store, for 800 gems. Is this an equity issue.
I personally don’t mind. Then again, I don’t believe in exclusivity. I can understand how some people might not like it.
I mentioned this in another thread, but I’d love to see a concept drawing of Asura light t3 on a human. If anyone can think of a cool way of doing it, I’d love to see it ^.^
Ohh that sort of made me curious XD. So I drew a very quick horrible sketch with the mouse. [I can’t draw]
I’ve been wanting the norn cultural sets on some of my humans for ages, myself..
Yay! Tyvm

Don’t worry I now have this policy to kick anyone in my party that has the new fire gear. I’ll just put you on that list as well
Not sure if this is a joke, but if not, it’s awful. Obviously I can’t tell you what to do, but that kind of behavior is really just pointless.
I’ve seen worse. There was this guy who said he would kick anyone from a dungeon run if a precursor dropped for them and they pinged it in party chat, his reason was that he was spiteful because he had to buy his.
But kicking for reasons other than the player is a bad is pretty silly.
i m playing only even anyway >.>
I looked at the list XD
Swapping weapon deals damage…
Because anet forgot there is a certain class called elementalist and another called engineerYeah this one is insane. Let’s just make the primary purpose of an entire class useless yayyyyy.
Eh, can just skip it xD
Eh, for engi you can go elixir nades and still be pretty useful. Can’t speak for ele.
In ele you gotta just camp one attunement…. Which really stinks, unless you’re running the staff lava font build.
they did not hear us
why do we even boder with this forums it is useless !
comfort pats there there! we feel your pain. We yelled for days and days without a response…
We can keep yelling but I think we are beating a dead horse.
