I used to complain about this too. I’m sure I posted complaints 6 months ago, so I don’t blame you. I got ganked a lot, I cried and moaned and got really angry. (Nothing from my inventory was lost when I got killed though… O.o)

But then I finished, and I realized I had an easier time doing it with my guild and server mates than I ever had solo mapping pve maps, where I’d die right near an undiscovered wp and no one around to res me.

It’s hard. But it was worth it. My bifrost was worth the struggle for the badges and the gift of exploration. If you work with your server and guild, you will have a better time.

Do I do wvw now? No. I hate that place, but at least small group take downs with my guild was more fun than doing a zillion heart quests for the tiniest amount of karma I’ve ever seen.

PS: In case it wasn’t clear for some, you can count me on the ones who would really appreciate answers about ANYTHING that has been written during 2 weeks, because even if I really enjoyed most of the new contents, it is really mind blogging that not even a single member of ANet staff has found the time to read at least the OP of a single thread in this section AND give an answer after the patch came out.

The answer to this question is simpler than you think. People like Kal have lost absolutely nothing. They were probably stuck in heir personal reward level 29 while doing level 28 fractal over and over again without any need to progress nor level any alts. That update not only it didn’t affect their personal level, it also lowered the rewards requirement to teens instead of upper 20s. This way they can keep doing level 10-19 instead of 28. They can also bring their alts into fractals now without lifting a finger leveling those. In these people’s eyes, this update was the best thing that ever happened. Sadly they’re in state of mind where as long as it benefits them it benefits everyone. And to them we are asking for too much, since the update gave them everything they could possibly want. When it comes to compensation for lost levels their mindset is something along the lines of: “If I don’t get anything, why should you?”
All that can be easily seen in all the posts from these players.

What I bolded is exactly it. Some of their arguments have been that we shouldn’t get anything because no one would have been able to get whatever we get after the fact. That us getting anything isnt fair. However, us losing our levels and getting nothing is absolutely fair because of leaderboards, or “exploits”, or majority rule, or…. You get the picture.

That does not say you can unbind for sale. It says you can unbind them to make it account bound to give to another character.

Sadly, no. You can transmute things to put on other characters, but they can never be non account bound.

Well, TA armor is dressy. Also Arah armor is sort of girly, but you’re right, male and female Asura share the same types of armor, it is sad.

I think the loss of damage wouldn’t be all that much, as the added precision helps add criticals, so it probably would be fine. It might be a good idea to eventually get a zojjas and transmute it once you’re done outfitting other alts. I think when assassins came out someone asked this question and the verdict was that it was likely the same amount of damage unless you’re going against something that you can’t critical hit.

To be honest, the price of goods in the Trading Post fluctuates. I’m fine with some things getting lowered from ungodly high prices. Something that is strictly a convenience like the Permanent Hairstyle Kit, I am fine with seeing become cheaper. I’d rather Legendaries remained the big price tags on the Trading Post (though I also want to see them become Account Bound).

I only referred to legendaries for the cost. I know that they fluctuate, I was just saying that if someone bought the hair kit they could have bought 1-2 legendaries instead, so I’m guessing they wouldn’t be all that happy.

The harpy fractal, if you just farm the harpies you get tons of potents and powerful bloods too. It’s a possible 1st fractal too so it’s easy to get.

Well I don’t honestly know about the difference, but you can make both and just transmute them. Not that that is ideal, because it is a waste of mats, but it is a possibility if it is a huge difference in damage

I must say i find something more interesting about asura reproduction. The head size of the progeny.

Human birth is painful for the mother because of the head-size of the foetus. The skull is not fully formed yet, and it deforms slightly as it exits the mothers pelvic that is wider than man’s for exactly that reason.

Now, seeing asura females not having any wider hips or pelvics than males, and the size ratio of their heads and hips, i would think asura birth is either extremely painful or has been helped with technological and/or medical methods for quite some time that their evolution adapted to rely on that help.

My Asura is short even by Asuran standards but I’m inclined to agree. The Progenies are probably… 7-10? They’d maybe be a third of their current size when born. Chances are before the influx of medical technology Asuran females would die during childbirth.

Yes each dungeon has a recipe. I personally received the one from cof. They are super rare, but the best one is likely from Arah, because it made the “only” soldiers trinket, (now there are more soldiers stuff, but back then it could be sold for 20g).

I usually get a core or two every cof p1 run… And a lode… Well, that depends. But cores are upgradable so I think they’re worth counting…

Molten lodestones and cores drop in citadel of flame, the dungeon. However, most lodestones and cores drop in various parts of fractals. Might want to check those too

It’s something like 60. Someone reported having 44 at one time, but a dev said 60 a bit later.

I originally put this into the bug sub forum, because I remember seeing a similar post there on this where a dev responded with “That shouldn’t be happening, ill get back to you!” and nothing changed. The post in the Bug forum is, however, being ignored, so a poster recommended I put it here.

So I’m sure this was brought up before…. But it’s still not fixed.
Dungeon runes, whether you get them from the dungeon in the chests or if you forge them, they are soul bound, rather than account bound. This is annoying because if for some reason you get a rune you would use, you likely would not get it on the character you could use it on.
For instance, I would never do a dungeon on a character that didn’t have all of its proper runes or gear.
Also, being soul bound the second they are forged just seems a little off. What is the point?

And before you say it I’m sure there’s a way to make the soul bound runes account bound through transmuting. But that just seems like a waste to me!

Well there is literally no other place to put it. It may not be a bug, but I can’t imagine it is working as intended.
