Ok quick question. My tailor is at 400 and my leather worker is 0 right now. Is it cheaper to level my tailor up to 500 and then craft Vision Crystal and Gift of Blades? Or is it cheaper to level my leather worker from 0 too 500 and then craft Vision Crystal and Gift of Blades?

Leather working 0-500 will be cheaper. The damask versus Elonian leather is just too crazy.

Yeah.. I leveled leatherworking just for this. Since I plan on making 2 ascended versions. (I previously only had tailor to 500)

I don’t like that I had to do it. However… it has made a sink for Elonian leather. It’s gone up in price a whole lot. I think that’s a good thing for the ascended materials market.

But yeah, now I have level 500 Leatherworking and no use for it lol

That ratio would be way to good. Remember one shard is worth 2100 karma plus access to balthasar temple.

I guess I meant a blade shard conversion to obsidian, not necessarily 1:1. But yeah, 1:1 would be too good. 100:1 might work though, as a previous poster suggested.

Something I realized when I was looking at the armors, was that the datamined light flamekissed armor model thingy we all saw on reddit was actually the zodiac heavy armor… (which is strange in itself) I didnt like it as the weird outlined model, and i don’t really like it now. But I love that anet is trying new things with the armors, I’m just sad how alien all of my Asura look in this armor. (On the bottom I put some source pictures, they belong to google and not me)

I didn’t get the email, but then, I didn’t even enter Edge of the Mists.

I would have liked to get an extra 400 gems, but it doesnt matter much to me. I do hope, though, that if they choose to do this again, they make sure they send it to a different group though! haha.

I don’t think they do, but they’re useful for altoholics like myself, cheap leveling backpieces… cheap exotic backpieces with the choice of stats… I don’t think I’ll be able to hoard enough blades tbh but I can see why folks might not have a use…

Just want to echo everyone else: liked the idea, liked the execution, liked the shout-out to CoX whether it was intentional or not. Not gonna make one, though, because it’s not worth the massive cost in damask and I don’t feel like leveling leatherworking just for this.

I wasn’t going to make mine ascended until I got a lucky drop today… so I spent 200g leveling leather worker and making it. Was worth it, for me… but I can see why it wouldn’t be for everyone. . One thing I think is great is that the exotic ones are pretty cheap and easy to make, and account bound, so they’re very alt friendly. I will likely be making an additional exotic for my alts to pass around, just so I don’t need to spend mondo fractal relics or karma on outfitting my 13 lesser alts. (1 main, 2 main alts, 13 lesser alts haha)

Finished mine. They are the perfect color for my char though so I’m going to make a second set to color.

Different strokes I suppose. They go down in price, people forge them, supply goes down, should be okay… I mean it’s only 3 free minis… and they’re blue and green (a rare occasionally and an exotic even less common if ever) per account that happens a to grab one. Not nearly as bad as the mini caithe and scarlet

Yep, and this is how I feel about you non stackers. I’ll criticize your lack of value for time and efficiency, and I’ll complain if I have one tell me how to play.

It is very much a two way street, except the creators decided to allow people to range and run around with their heads cut off as well as be coordinated. They’re fine with either method. That’s it.

Stacking and the new skill arcane brilliance is absolutely OP. Nerf pls.
