And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?
Our blood has bought their lives.
My only specialty is fashion, let them know. Lol
Oh that’s freaking exciting!
Head: Grenth Hood Skin (not available anymore from gemstore)
Shoulders: Deathly Mantle Skin (expensive skin on the TP)
Chest: Trickster’s Vest Skin (a part of this armor set on TP)
Hands: Masquerade Gloves (crafted)
Legs: Trickster’s Leggings Skin (same as vest)
Feet: ascended light boots
:) light armors, good for necro.
Okay, then I think you know what gear you want to use. Why ask us?
Anyway, check out the FAQ sticky on builds. this forum generally uses the meta build, as that states.
Have fun and may the fractals RNG be ever in your favor.
Please… Remove the swamp fractal from low level fractals, like 1-5… Noobs who are new to fractals just can’t do it… no matter how much i tell them what to do, no matter how good our plan is, they just can’t. Most of the time they don’t even follow the plan. It just ruins the fractals for others who are experienced and is rediculously frustrating.
I ask that this not happen.
Swamp makes fractals quicker and easier for anyone who has done more than 5 runs. Come on now, remove dredge before swamp….
In high level fractals, not only will healing power not be optimal but it will be close to useless. A tiny bit more healing won’t help when you’re getting downed in 1-2 hits anyways.
I agree.

I didn’t think all Norn body types were muscular…
Also not all Asura body types are small… Some are quite rotund.
Anyway I’m backing out of this thread because I don’t really feel it is conducive to constructive conversation.
You cannot transfer cultural armor between races. You can transfer Asura cultural armor of the same armor weight to another Asura of that armor class, but no Asura to human.
I think if you include all of the races (namely Norn) you’d be able to find several body types including the “skinny” ones I guess.
But it is a fantasy game. No, none of the players have green six packs, but then no ones made of trees, either…
Anyway, suggestion #1 play a norn?
Uh, I was just making a character dude. Sylvari have green six packs
… I said that the player doesn’t have a green six pack… O.o

Edit: also there are plenty of chubby Asura body types. Just don’t see them all that often.
I don’t know. I just didn’t know that the cof room was an exploit. It makes me fearful of what else they might consider an exploit, because I really don’t wanna get hurt if they decide next time to swing the ban hammer or something at people for unknowingly exploiting.
Like there’s, I think, a very clear difference between going into a room that is textured and decorated and swimming beneath a map to skip bosses. I thought there was a line, but now I’m not so sure where it’s drawn.
They’re not going to ban every person which stepped into CoF. They might decide to change how we run dungeons (which might slow us down a bit in a few places), but hell, they don’t even ban Arah swimmers. I’ll start worrying once we see any evidence of a ban related to dungeon running.
I know they aren’t. But let’s just say they start punishing things that they say are exploiting that aren’t all that clear (like I don’t think that room was clearly an exploit). I just don’t like not understanding what they consider an exploit and what’s not…. I guess that’s my concern.

Nothing ever gets removed because it’s fun. It just happens that fun things can sometimes get in the way other people having fun—like an item that cripples an entire server and causes everyone to have skill activation lag.
For now I’ll be happy to answer any additional questions you might have on this topic.
On the topic, can you answer stuff about animation locking? You know, back when you could infinitely spin around as a guardian with a sword, and things to that effect. As far as I know it was harmless – you couldn’t move and it doesn’t deal damage. It was just hilarious to look at. I think that’s another case of “Anet hates fun” that bothers players. Another might be blocking off uninstanced Salma, which really did nothing but hurt RPers. Could you shed some light on what harmful things these presented, and why they were therefore changed?
RIP gear grind dance book bug
I killed the original simin so meh. What appened to her? Did they nerf spark?
Also yea you heard right… The original Simin was a nightmare and we had to dps race her down to make it trought her health bar between two sparks wave
They reduced the amount of healing she did while stealthed because enough people QQ’ed.
why am i not surprised the noobs QQed about it. I took her down the week they fixed the ‘’hit her while shes invisible’’ bug that was making it possible to do her somewhat in the first place wich was the worst moment to take her down in the whole of the game history. Its just sad now Simin the hardest boss in guild wars 2 been reduced to this parody because i Hyped all my friends about how hard Arah was going to be and etc and etc now ill not even have some dog bones to throw at them so they can chew on.
No wonder dungeon master has lost all the respect its worthed because every boss encounter kill wich worthed the achievement have been nerfed to the point theres nothing left to brag about. They need to get in some achievement like ‘’BETA Simin Slayer’’ or Release AC tester to actualy reward who did those place when they where still treatening.
Todays i run those dungeons and i laugh at how easy it has becomes.

Huh.
I guess I figured being less squishy in Fractals would be best. I’m at fractal level 48, and the times that I die (wearing my full zerk exotics), I feel bad.. thought I should be less squishy and provide that healing to the group with Healing Mantras (which I love and have been using for months now).
I get that. The thing is, in higher level fractals, the one hit downed mechanics make defensive stats sort of useless, whereas getting the boss dead quicker is the best way to mitigate dead teammates and party wipes. That’s why dps is the meta.
Now, like I said, if you want to be more defensive because you don’t want to be downed (or are still learning when to dodge, that sort of thing) using a couple knights pieces, or in your case, since you are interested in healing, Zealots, that would be fine.
Just a thing to note, a lot of parties in high level fractals require zerker builds and gear. Start your own groups if you can’t find any that you qualify for, though, because there are plenty of people in both fields. (Zerk vs nonzerk)
Swifty: yeah, well, you know, play how you want. Lol.
While I agree with Tarug, I’d like to add this caveat. Using berserker gear will be better and the most optimal for your fractals and dungeon runs. However, if you are dead set against berserker and desire to be in cleric or celestial, then do it. I suggest adding a bit more power, though, so I would honestly recommend that new gear, Zealots, if you are desiring the healing power. Using that with a mix of Knights might be a good trade off for you, while still allowing you to have okay damage.
However, if you are looking for the most optimal, Tarug is right.
Well, I don’t even know what to say to this.
Who cares, there is at least 3 more spots in the room.
That’s not actually why we’re reacting the way we are. The reaction is stemming from the lack of understanding why they thought that this was necessary to fix but so many other things were not. Also, I doubt many people even recognized that that room was not intended, given how it looked and the way it was mapped. It’s just odd, and is throwing some of us for a loop.
For me, I’m just wondering what else is next?
Lol I thought for sure that the PM was going to say that they moved it to the trash can forum.
I totally ended up making my little Asura Warrior. Love her! Seeing her little blue-haired self spinning around in a lil whirlwind of death is adorable as hell. Best decision ever. =3
Is that a mini Mr. Sparkles?! I…I want it.
Makes Asura PC the mini instead haha
Guesters should be kicked to overflow. AN should view this as an opportunity. If they FIX this problem (on BG you need to show up MORE than 2 hours before TTS to get a kill because of kittening guesters), then people would have to pay money to transfer.
Heh heh I see what you’re doing there.
Unless this 2 hours ahead of time is a thing that happened this past week, I’ve guested onto BG merely 1 hour before he popped several times. Now understand me, this is not on a peak time like right after reset or whatever, because I could just go onto my own server’s Teq fight at reset, but I have never had issues.
Kittening guesters, hehehe.
(I’m just picturing swarms of cats attacking Tequatl because he smells like tuna.)
The fact that most of these items ever existed is just blatantly a bug.
Not that it’s issues were bugs, but that the existence of the control panel and its available options simply weren’t intended, and just poofed into being without anyone knowing how or why.
Scarlet did it.
To be fair if the trash can forum existed I would not leave it.
Lol, but yeah, that link is fairly annoying.
he needs precise answers so he knows which recipes will be most demanded and will have the best Return of Interest.
Actually, I was mostly curious because it has limited value in pve and wvw. Isn’t spvp all normalized? So it was mostly a rhetorical question, as in no value.
Well, it gives you a choice to gear for healing instead of toughness. Apart from Ele and Guardian, i can also see warriors with their high base vitality and good access to healing giving it a spin in wvw.
That’s fair.
The Whisperblade is definitely a contender.
It does match beautifully with the anamaly. I got to see it in person last night.
They match lovely
I have Anomaly, Whisper Blade and Vision of the Mists on my guard, I love the look. I might even be LittleLepton approved finally!
You’ll always be LittleLepton/Lilith approved.
Mistlock Instability 51 – The Dredge Clowncar stalks you through the fractals.
Nononononono
That’ll actually be a new feature I’m 6 months starting at level 31.
Along with the instabilities, the clown car will follow you throughout each fractal. As a result, player progress will be reset to 30 so that they can be on a equal playing field while competing against each other for the “most dredge killed” leaderboard.
You are wrong. Totally wrong.
Home server players HAVE TO have priority against ANY guest.
Just because a random, jobless guest guy like to wait 894729824982 hours before an event, you cant kick home server’s players into overflow.
I think you’re pretty wrong too.
A for instance: I’m a wife, home owner, teacher, etc. I have, let’s say, 2 hours to play on a Saturday night. My server, while a great server, does not have the cooperation to do Tequatl more than once or twice a day. So I sign on, quest to BG, go to Splintered coast, and wait.
Should I be kicked because some person from BG decides on a whim to get Teq 15 minutes prior to the event?
I don’t think so. If I was on BG and wanted to do Teq, I would go and wait, just like everyone else. Not feel entitled because I happen to be on the largest population server.
Which professions or builds would use this gear in an optimal set up?
In pve at least it won’t be optimal. However, when struggling to survive in full dps gear, a couple pieces of Zealots (sort of like training wheels) would be a good substitute from knights due to power being the primary stat, and still having precision.
he needs precise answers so he knows which recipes will be most demanded and will have the best Return of Interest.
Then I would say elementalist and guardian.
Well as a game programmer he’s not paid to be nice to people. It wouldn’t hurt to be more polite tho.
It’s not his tone or anything. It’s just this quote:
The fact that most of these items ever existed is just blatantly a bug.
-Bill
That can’t be anything other than a fumbling with words or a lie. There’s no way for game developers to defend an entire items existence as a bug. That just… Can’t be true from a coding standpoint.
Personally, I’m fine with his tone. It’s that lie that bugs me. Although I am fully aware that he likely meant it differently.

The hostility here is getting out of, coold down people, if you want to keep the thread open.
I agree, but frankly after the dev response things just got worse, because his wording was less than stellar. I’m pretty sure they’ll be editing it when they all wake up, it’s still pretty early there at anet hq.
Lol that arena net comment was funny, but chill. You’re all like little kids in school jumping up and down with gleeful joy as the teacher makes a grammatical error.
I have no idea what he meant. Perhaps just that it’s an error that they exist in their current form. Who knows and who cares. If you’re can’t see that the change is needed for the game to function better, then you’re either blind or in denial.
It’s not a grammatical error.
The issue with it is that, sure, in situations like Teq, Wurm, Mari, these items harm the performance of the game, but what it’s doing, by Nerfing them so harshly, is making these items useless for everything. Useless. Meaning…. No use. No reason to buy. Not even for RP. Not even for leveling.
The weapons.
I think Mr. Freist is saying that the summon items are not being used as they were intended by the developers. And yes, there are a tremendous drain on resources especially when you have a large guild group of about 100 doing world events and 50-70 players pop an ember. I have to put my graphics on the lowest setting every day for post reset activities.
As far as embers and/or summons being a player, I think he means as far as rendering and resources are concerned from a server administrator point of view.
Anet nerfing ele powder, pet whistles, spy kits, etc, is nothing new. I’ve been a GW player since the day GW1 was released. Anet has consistently swung the nerf bat at anything which made the game “easy” or in some way created a shortcut through content or otherwise made the acquisition of reward easier than the developers intended. Get use to it. If you plan to keep playing GW2 you will see this happen time and time again. Ingenious players will engineer tricks that will evolve into the meta only to be smashed by the devs.
I fully expect them to nerf Fiery Great Sword to require a target before a skill will activate sometime in the near future. Oops! Did I say that out loud?
While I agree that that’s what he meant, what he said was entirely different.
The fact that most of these items ever existed is just blatantly a bug.
-Bill
That’s… That’s a very clear statement.
I’m also wondering if any consumable is safe now. If they are blatantly bugs, are we exploiting the game by using them?
Are we at risk of perma ban for using seed turrets, the healing trees, etc?
How about the golem missile thing you can get in Metrica? That’s a key component of my own RP. I’m so confused.
I didn’t know that an entire item in the game could be a bug. As though someone just, didn’t know that the code was written? What?
:(
<3 <3
No! You made me sad! :’(
Anyway. Bah. Will be funny when the poor dungeon forum gets a ton of “can’t do cof p1 anymore!!!”
God I hope that doesn’t happen >.<
#CoFNewTAFU
I guess I’m not sure I understand how the cof room was an exploit….
It was an obvious part of the map, decorated, textured, was obviously open……..
How was that an exploit?
Obviously anything that isn’t a full clear of a dungeon is an exploit. I expect more from you Lilith!
:(
@ Lilith Ajit: ok, im gonna need better pics of those weapons, also, this is VERY chirstmassy lol
Oh bah haha well, they are Marjory’s axe and the. Dragons Jade sword, but I will grab pics when I’m in xD
Harpy Feathers 5 seconds cd, stealth for 3 seconds.
CoF p1 Accolyte ‘safe room’ is closed now. Thanks for some info with actual details.
Both of those sound like logical fixes for exploits

Backpedaling so quickly? You said it by how you framed your statement. Naming our two good utilities is saying glyphs suck by comparison.
The summon glyphs do, in fact, suck.
The powder was great because it didn’t take up a utility spot and it was cheap. Why would anyone take elite glyph over greatsword? If I could have an elite glyph that summoned 3 elementals it would be worth it. That’s why powders are nice in a group setting and glyphs are not.
Go go gadget art!
A second PLOX?
Will send gold when in game
As an elementalist main I felt fire ele powders marginalized one of our trademark skills, i’m glad to see it limited at least.
As an elementalist main, that elite skill and utility skill has never and still will never be found on my bar. Especially not to summon a fire ele.
I think that limiting this item has done far more bad than good, and to think that some people would use that as an excuse? Bah.
I didn’t feel like I was marginalizing rangers by using pet whistles. That’s absurd.
Nothing to see here… Time for me to move along.
Its because our pet summons are so bad that these should be limited, ele have to dedicate precious utility slots when anyone else doesn’t. Other classes get the benefit of their entire class ON TOP OF the minor utility that these pets add for negligible cost(people bought them by the stack).
But we could use the powders too….
If there was a feedback/wall of reflection consumeable with no cooldown it would devalue mes/guards party roles. In a game with no trinity it all comes down to what utility your class can provide.
All i’m saying is that having a trademark skill available for a negligible coin cost marginalized the uniqueness of having an ele in the party, even if those skills were less useful than other skills for any given content.
This might be a worthy comparison if it were a consumable that gave people ice bows and fire greatswords.
Yeah I agree here.

Is that where I think it is?
… really? this was the biggest glaring issue that had to be resolved in all of dungeondom?
And stealth patched no less, where is he? Where is the guy that’s doing stuff like this? What’s the point? How about you actually fix something that’s broken like when Bjarl stands in the middle of his room twirling his sword like moron? Because when you PUG it he always targets the player that doesn’t want to get anywhere near him.
Anyone else have some bugs/problems that actually need attention?
How about the WP in Arah P2 or is that working as intended? We’ll never know because we didn’t get patch notes on that either….
That’s the thing. I can’t understand why, of all things, that needed to be patched. Like, why?
Either they have a crack dungeon team that’s determined to make dungeons more annoying and less fun, or someone has loosed a bag of cats upon Anet HQ and keyboards were sat upon. That’s all I got….
ALL IS VAIN
@lilith: im sure i’ve drawn this asura before…..
lol, asura seem to be popular today
That’s entirely possible. Haha
