Boss fight in mmo are meant to take a while to kill. Maybe 10 minute is exageration but a boss typicaly at least need a good 30 second to at least start becoming challanging.
At some point, a boss battle becomes monotonous, because your skills have all finished their cool downs and you’re stuck doing the same things over and over and over again. So what you’re asking for is more grind, more monotony.
They could add a restriction to the level of those who use the tools, however I do not think a low level character can be in orr collecting.
I currently have a level 8 in Cursed Shore. Lol

It would be unfair to a group to get discredited for kicking a low level after asking for an 80, same for any other requirements that a group desires.

Figured that since that topic was not posted by mercury ATM I would say my piece. I think it is dangerous to have developers be fed these notions without discussing the complete picture.

I think his idea of having people have to accept a person into their group is completely valid and would help more than just sellers. It would help people who want to be able to filter the types of players they get, be it by build, class, AP, or whatever they want. (Because, play how you want)
It’s not right for any reason, for someone to destroy another persons instance. Especially not because they feel like they’re being white knight savior of the people.

You clearly never played a raid in Lotro. When you had to be inside 4-5 hours, believe me, the inmersion was pretty fun for a “dungeon”. There were people roleplaying between enemies pulls and having fun. Others, the elitists, were just having a blast killing everything and never running past enemies :P.
I think that’s what i miss in gw2 dungeons.
How many people at a time could be in a lotro dungeon? Just wondering.
Also, I think it’s fair to say I will not RP with randoms in a pug. With my guild, however, all dungeons are outlets for RP and even ERP
there are dungeons of 3 players, 6 players, 12 players and 24 players. The last ones are considered raids, though. Nevertheless, i was just suggesting that getting immersion in a dungeon is pretty fun and also possible. Anet has done a lot of things right, but dungeons isn’t one of them, except imo Aether.
It is possible, and I do get immersion, but not with pugs. There’s no reason for me to feel connected to content while doing it with random heroes that I don’t give any craps about…. It’s just not something, from an RP standpoint, that makes sense to me.

The thief skirt is the Magitech skirt, and the top for the ranger is the Krytan armor top and the skirt is the norn t2 cultural.

Why would people want to play dungeons at all then? This game doesn’t have gear progression like other MMOs do, everything here is about the progression of your own skill. Personally I feel there is a significant difference between a game and whether or not the 99% has food on their table.
Anyway, what anet/OP wants is actually more akin to a damage tax on 100% of the player population. Nerfing zerker will hurt casuals as well.
Now, like I said, buffing casual builds or just buffing other stats is better. While leaving the 1% as they are and buffing the rest.
The reason this isn’t comparable to real world economics is because there is no inflation on gear stats. Buffing them does not hurt the “gear stat” economy.
within 7 second what lupicus can even do to you? Its more a mather of pre battle preparation then an actual fighting issue. I believe within 7 second lupicus will likely do 1 to 2 move and its likely not gunna be a lethal one but i might be wrong so ill go check that video once im home to see how well their fight went.
Well, the 7 seconds is how long it took for them to dps it down. They spent a few more seconds preparing for the fight by stacking important boons.

Im bringing this topic to the profession balance topic so to make sure the dev see the abomination damage builds have wrought upon the pve part of the game… how can they pretend the game is balanced when a well organised team can down lupicus in 7 second.

Crit is always dangerous. Always.
Nearly every MMO that has added +Crit(Damage) to gear has had to nerf it.
Having too much health (cough bosses cough) can be fairly dangerous too. And regeneration with healing power can be dangerous….
My point is not that these stats should be nerfed. I think that all stats (apart from zerk) should be buffed so that they are actually useful in pve. As long as there is no trinity, dps will always be the meta. If they buff things like condition damage, it might be worth having 2 builds that are meta.

Why kill berserker? Why not ask for the buffing of other builds, rather than “developers, kill this! Murder this!” First of all your language is harsh and not conducive to constructive feedback. Second of all, why aren’t you asking for people to be on an equal playing field? Cleric and tank builds are working as intended. You can sit and not dodge once in this fight. What berserker does is take off the training wheels and force you to utilize skill to defeat something. I just don’t understand why you want to nerf something that requires skill into oblivion.
You only have yourselves to blame when this gets nerfed to oblivion. If I were you guys I’d keep this stuff under the table so they don’t nerf it. But since you insist on being seen by others/getting attention and recognition. Then do not be upset when they change it one of these days.
They won’t be. They can do this boss naked, so it’ll only hurt casuals when it gets nerfed. And that’s fine.
I don’t have any gear requirements on mine because I don’t run full meta (I don’t want to be hypocritical). So I’ll take anyone into easier dungeons. And teach them how. I just don’t want anyone thinking I’d be good teaching them anything other than TA or CoE and such, lol.

Well its like the early day.. i guess karma is a precious ressource now. I never actualy abused of any of those trick to get my karma and im prety much at 1 mil but i got it over the year because i didnt spent it.

I think you really need to reevaluate your designation of trick or exploit. Because frankly, even running an event in the game is apt to become a trick to you.

They got rid of karma from dungeons.
They lowered the karma you get from dailies and monthly very significantly.
Karma consumables (jugs and such) are no longer affected by karma boosts.
Basically, where people used to be able to get 1million karma in a day if casual play, which I agree needed to be nerfed, now I struggle to get 10k in a day. It’s insanity.
There have been a few stealth updates to dungeons as of late, I think they have a Spec Ops Dungeon Team now.
Either that or it’s a sticky note on some guy’s monitor.

Thats likely what will happen and in one year or two well actualy see a random nerf to FGS along with some more scarlet stuff because Anet likes to takes its time and prioritise the living story but yea we likely gunna see something.

It will be a stealth nerf, and they won’t comment on it. And it will be far far far too late, and it will be at a time where the rest of damage has been nerfed so that existing content has become grueling time wasters, and thus the only source of damage will be gone. In other words, it will be much like the over zealous karma nerf.

Depends on what boss and what strategy you’re using.
There are some actual glithces, but I think they are few, and probably more harmful glitches to the players than there are beneficial ones.
There are also a lot of strategies that people don’t like so they call them glitches, when in reality it’s just strategy.

While I agree it makes sense, I don’t think that it will make any other gear stat type better.
I think they should just buff other stat types to make them worth taking, or modifying mob AI to require different tactics in order to kill it’s either with puzzles, or something.
As long as the mobs are the same, there will never be a meta change.

According to one comment on my Kholer video, it seems they already nerfed FGS Rush damage in Open World, dunno if it’s true though
They already did that’s why people use flamethrowers instead against Teq now

It might just be that the majority of people in open world don’t actually know how to use FGS to its highest potential, thus giving the false idea that it’s been nerfed.
