Well, if you are intending on getting into fractals, you must understand that getting that infusion out for your agony infusions will take an upgrade extractor.

This being said, I prefer karma over MF, because MF is easy to get with the consumables and food… karma is difficult.

I received a refund of the gems and a new makeover kit because I explained in my ticket that I used one to change my character to match the new armor. They were quite gracious, and I’m very glad to see that their excellent customer support is better than their seemingly awful QA (why would they EVER have let that t3 armor out in the first place???).

Oh well I’ll just use my replacement gems for the Quaggan finisher.

That title will also cause many people to “Never buy gems from ANet again!!1!1”. It’ll totally be worth it though.

Yeah, that’s crazy. I really like the Immobolus skin but when you’re looking at at least 3 times the price of a Precursor, it’s quite hard to justify it.

I think having Giants drop them is a good idea, maybe 60-100% chance, and reducing the recipe cost to 100.

I wonder what the person who designed it thinks. “Yay, my scepter design is rare and people think it’s worth the work to obtain it!” or “Aww, my design is somewhat lost because you can get more powerful weapons for a fraction of the price”

Well, on the plus side, my scepters will remain rare!

You can ask for a refund if you don’t like the new Flamekissed skin, but no such luck with any Makeover kits.

But most of us are glad they changed the look. Human T3 Cultural needs to be exclusive. The Devs realized the mistake, and made a wonderful change. Much love and credit to them for the efforts to correct that mistake.

Bait and switch, regardless of the reason, is not a good thing.

I hate the feathered set and always have, not to mention the shoulder issue on Norns. I understood why they changed it, but it should have never left their QA to begin with.

Unfortunately, skins don’t really exist in game. However, you can farm gold to convert to gems to buy gem store skins, but at that point you might as well just get the transmute stones.
http://www.gw2armor.com will show you the armors available. Dungeon armor might be the best for you, but you would need to pick the dungeon with the stat and style you want. This would mean that you would not use your current armor, but a new set, that has the style you want. No stones required.

So it really really depends.

Where your starting point is “the gemstore should provide clear in-game advantages!” The only question that remains in the New Normal is “how much should the advantage of gemstore items be” rather than “do we want that all?” or “where does that lead us?”

I’m just wondering, in this New Normal, should it be “the bigger the advantage, the more Arenanet should charge”? Is that the concept? Cause if it is, you’ll be squeezed like an orange.

I think there is some sort of code that those who support the gem store get better loot. Of course, everything is RNG and I might have my own tin foil hat on, but all 4 times I’ve gotten a precursor from a drop have been shortly after purchasing 20$+ in gems. However, I’ve bought A LOT of gems (so much so that I am too embarrassed to post my numbers) and I’ve certainly not gotten precursors every time.

But eh, maybe maybe.

I like the idea of the hours played, but I mean most of my hours have been spent socializing (because the whole game is a social thing for me) and not so much doing content.

Thanks for the info. I guess that player who has the Immobulus on the wiki is a very lucky person indeed. At this point I would have to say that the Immobulus is in a tier far above legendary (which are far too abundant to be special).

nah, i crafted the immobulus yesterday and it took about 4 days to get 250 giant eyes from the TP with buy orders. i put in buy orders around 1.2 gold each (most buy orders were around the 1 gold mark) because i quickly grew tired of outbidding the other buyers who were upping my bids by 1c multiple times each night.

there’s usually less than 300 giant eyes on the TP at any given time, but there are plenty just sitting in player’s inventories, ready to sell when the buy orders are listed at a decent price point.

That’s harsh. I made my scepters when they were 50s a piece. Lucky me.

Anyway, the price is getting crazy. Lol

Legendary stats are the same as ascended, except on a legendary weapon you can swap stats.

I’m not sure where you saw that an ascended weapon had better stats than a legendary…. But yeah.

I’ve only seen 3-4 other players with the scepter, which is definitely more rare than most. However, I’ll say that I actually have never seen a person using abyssal scepter.

I do agree with Aye though, your suggestions would benefit alot from being presented in a more concise form.
I don’t really like skipping posts, because I’m afraid I’ll miss a good suggestion, but seeing your first post, I just lost motivation to read through it (even more so when I realised there were more than one).

While it’s true that explanation(s) can be needed sometimes, I think it would be better to start with a concise description of your suggestion (and one at a time), and then let the people who have questions about the suggestion ask those questions.

This way I think you’ll get through to more people in general.

The mayority of giant eyes will be in peoples collectable tab and most of them wont even know about it.

By the way, for the mentors, I think that testing our teachers might be a good idea, but I definitely do not think that it should be too pressured or exclusive. If we make it that way, it would scare off helpers. I think we should be aware that not all students are going to want to do meta (though I think it should be encouraged). Having some mentors who are able to do groups regardless of method (no exploits ofc) might be good.

But I don’t know. “General mentor” I think is a good place for those folks to be.

Not trying to derail the thread but how do you actually see the number of hours you’ve played?

In my time on the game I have gotten one precursor (zap); white, midnight fire, midnight red dyes (lots of other rares but nothing worth more than 75 silver); a dozen keys; about 50 exotics (never counted, this is a swag but is fairly close); 6 giant eyes; dozens of lodestones and a WHOLE lotta items that were only good enough to bolster my Magic Find to 119%. I do use a lot of magic find boosters since I will buy keys as a “lottery ticket” and end up tossing the useless and keeping convenience items like black lion or merchant vendors, bank access and any playing boosters except PVP glory.

You can type /age to see your time spent.

Also, you appear to be a very lucky player.

Phoenix armor is a light armor set that can be used on elementalists, necromancers, and mesmers. You cannot send via mail, but you can place it in your bank for another character to use
