Yes, I too remember the times when I would join a play how you want party in the lfg and then proceed to make their runs more efficient by playing meta. Man I was an awful individual, forcing my meta ways on them. I bet they were after nice slow runs where they could sit around with their ranged weapons and auto attack a boss while watching TV, getting downed and wiping every so often to break up the monotony.. but NO. Scumbag Swiftpaw came in and ruined it by making the mobs die faster.

Meanwhile in reality world:

• Scumbag elitist makes a group, states that he only wants zerk/scholar.. is then hit with a plague of play how you wants joining and hoping to slip through without being noticed and get carried. When he kicks them he is verbally abused in whispers. On the forums he has a ‘superiority complex’ and is ‘selfish’ for wanting a fast run.

• Play how you want makes a group with some general and non specific description -
  Evil scummy elitists avoid them and don’t join because elitists have an obvious ‘superiority complex’. Play how you want carries on with his business undisturbed. Is heralded as a hero by the community for being ‘the other side of the coin’ and a special snowflake. Can’t understand why he gets kicked from scumbag elitist’s ‘zerk+ scholar only’ advertised runs on his full cleric’s mace/shield guardian.

Man I LOVE equality.

To me, a guild is something like a corporation, a collective of like-minded individuals who love hanging out with each other. Of course you don’t have to be in a guild to do most content, but being able to identify yourself as a member of something does have a good feeling to it.

In all honesty, creating so many posts is the worst way to present feedback short of poor command of the English language. Really do slow down with the posts and compile the ideas into a single post or a moderator might come along and do it for you instead. :>

You should compile all your ideas first, and write them in a single post, in neat paragraphs. Does wonders.

Engineers are a nightmare to fight alone, so yeah. Back when I did WvW I tended to run away from engies if I was alone because I wouldn’t be able to handle the condition spam.

This’ll sound really bizarre but I have to explain something from another game about how RNG affected gameplay.

If you’ve ever played RS before (trash game, but it used to be amazingly fun during its prime), you’d know there was a system implemented dubbed as “PID” which stood for player identification number. You weren’t able to view what it was. This number was randomly generated upon logging in and the lower your number was, the higher priority your character had upon determining whose action was prioritised in the case of two people performing the same action at the same time, such as picking up an item spawned on the ground or attacking a mob in a single target zone (in the open world there were single target and multi target zones so if it was a single target zone it’d say “somebody is already fighting that” when someone else was attacking the mob). This was more important for staking, which was a very popular form of gambling. People would log out and in and check their PID using their friends or random strangers to determine if theirs was low or high. It was known as “pidding.”

Might sound strange, but just for the hell of it I logged out and back in and I actually swear on it that every single time I’ve done this I’ve gone from getting a consistent 3 or 4 swarms each attack turn to a consistent 0-2 at the very most. Even if it is purely coincidental, I don’t give a crap. Works for me!

You could also try using harpy feathers and spykits to reset the fight, yell at your computer screen, type ingame and call Lupicus swear words, do emotes to taunt him, etc.

Drifting off a little here, but I remember that game, and that system.

Think of it this way: Endure Pain multiplies direct damage by 0, Defiant Stance multiplies all damage (except Agony) by -1.

Well, you can’t forget the round red eyes… they’re like no other. I use schematics derived from my ele when making more clones.
