I’ve taken my thief, engineer, and warrior throughout straights alone, with no issues. And i took them there at 68.
If you think straights is hard wait until you get to Malchor. Now THAT zone is hard.
If a warrior and a thief can both keep a perfect stack of 25 bleeds on a target, the one whose bleeds does the most damage will bleed while the other’s bleeds would be overwritten.
However, no one can keep a perfect stack of 25 bleeds indefinitely, so it’s a moot point.

Me and my guild did the 2-golem push into AH. In fact I personally supplied 1 of the blueprints.
We were coordinating with another guild, but some people weren’t in VOIP so some of our force got left behind at the outer gate. Another couple of people or another minute and we would have broken through. Didn’t help that the people in the golems had never been in a golem before xD

Continue your last traits in the top tier.
Focus mainly on the GS and use the rifle if you need a quick burst (kill shot)
Make sure you’re wearing approtiate-level armor, jewelry, and weapons. Yellow preferably, but green if you can’t afford it. Make sure they have runes/sigils and not empty slots.
You should slice through things.
A note would be to salvage whites and vendor blues/greens. They all have the same chance of giving you high level mats but the blues/greens vendor for a lot more then the whites so you end up making more money that way.
I would rather fight risen then anything listed in this thread.
I don’t get the risen hate…i’d rather fight 10 risen then 1 branded or devourer. Risen are SO easy to kill.
It’s clearly not a bug if almost everyone else is able to get the completion.

There are no comments because of your woeful lack of information.
What level are you? profession? build/spec? weapon set? utilities? gear level and color?
Straits is easy. With careful movement you can kill 1 mob at a time, at most 2, pretty easy. Just watch out for purifiers – they’re the ones that pull you.

I’m on Henge. It takes me DAYS to get 50 kills in WvW. I got the 5 dungeon credit in 3 hours.
Don’t like it? Don’t do it. Or just do it. I certainly power through the WvW kills. You can power through some dungeon runs.
The QQ about there being a ton of one of the main enemies in the game is really ridiculous. Risen are not hard. In fact, i’d rather fight 10 risen then 1 branded, and don’t even get me STARTED on destroyers.

That “respectable” number HoD managed to put out really consisted of our commanders pulling most of our troops from the borderlands into EB.
Henge really can’t put up much of a fight, which sucks since we actually have competent commanders.
Better bleeds replace weaker bleeds.
Example: Warrior 1 and Warrior 2 have equal stats except warrior 1 has +300 condition damage.
Warrior 1’s bleeds will replace warrior 2’s bleeds if the mob has a full stack of bleed

Engineers have trememdnous AoE with grenades or flamethrower.
Note: Grenades can be a build one just CAN’T play (like me. I cannot handle the 11111111111111 spam) and flamethrower does pretty bad ST damage
Ranger traps have great AoE and ST.
Warriors do small-AoE (melee 3-mob hits) VERY well.

So…no. You get MULTIPLE exotic armor sets!
Try equipping your thief in toughness/vitality gear or spec them that way. They have such high innate damage due to initiative that they can spare some of the damage stats for survivability.
Jewels can go in jewelry.
Sigils in weapons.
Runes in armor.
I’m out of bank space as it is, so I certainly won’t be saving up anything.
Think of it like this. If they DO introduce a Nicholas the Traveler, then you’ll miss out once. If they don’t, you’ll have tons of junk taking up space for months.

You can no longer do the un-soul bind trick. They changed it so that if you have a soul bound item in your bank, only the character it’s soul bound to can withdraw it.
MF works on mob drops. It doesn’t effect the forge or chests.
And it CERTAINLY works. I notice a tremendous difference comparing no magic find to full magic find + food
The skin is a 1-use item that opens a transmutation window allowing you to apply it.
Then, you need to use transmutation stones to get the skin onto future great swords.

I would go through GW2DB to see all the weapon models and fine one you think she’ll like. Then you can try finding it for cheap on a low-level item by using the “model is used by…” tab
I doubt they will, because the PvP amulet is your only source of stats in PvP, so if you NEED precision toughness and condition damage you can have it.
In PvE it’s quite easy to mix and match armor/acessories to get the stats you need, so I doubt they’d add new categories when it’s redundant and unneeded
You should have done it before the fix to get the lvl 35 item AND the fixed reward.
I think you might like the Mesmer. Tons of conditions ala staff and you definitely need to keep dodging/moving, since they can’t take much of a beating.
Be prepared to struggle in PvE and destroy in PvP as long as you can play your class.
My philosophy on getting a precursor is to simply save the 300g and buy one.
The way I see it, I can either spend 300g on yellows trying to get it by luck, or spend 300g buying it without any random chance.
Yes, there is a CHANCE you can get it the 1st time. But there is ALSO a chance that you can spend 300g on yellows, not get it, and be forced to spend a 2nd 300g to just buy the kitten thing.

Ignore the stats your trait lines give you. Instead, focus on the traits themselves. I know on my engineer I could care less about the toughness I get from the toughness line. I take it for better turrets.

Meh. I’m far too lazy to actually tag something and leave it alone, especially since it’s most likely aggro’d on me. Especially when I’m using AoE to tag everything so as to exert as little effort as necessary.
@Stenc. Thank you for being an assuming kitten. I am well aware I only need to do a minimal amount of damage to tag a mob. In all honestly I couldn’t care less about anyone else in the event other then me.
Sorry, but this game is played by people. And the majority of people (imo ofc) simply don’t care if some level 8 isn’t getting their moldy bag or some such.
As unpopular as my opinion is, I will never hold back in any low-level event. And the reason is low-level loot sells…and sells for quite a lot.
I’m not going to give away my loot and money so some lowbie can do a 15-second event that repeats 2 minutes later. Sorry
I really don’t think there’s a problem. It’s so ridiculously easy to get gold in DE’s that all the low-levels probably only really need to kill 1-3 bandits for it.
I know I usually get gold for hitting a boss 3 times or killing 1 mob in a DE that’s just ending, and I even get it for events I did nothing to work towards.
I don’t think anyone complained because I don’t think anyone was being affected (other then the people too slow to get there before you ended it)
You must have never been to the Orr zones.
In many areas there, it is hard to nearly impossible to see if there are other players past the next pointy coral cliff. It is also nearly impossible to properly fight your way forward to whatever place you’re trying to reach, thanks to extremely fast respawns. Running like hell and praying you’ll live is the only thing you can do.
I never begrudge a player who trains Risen on me in these zones. They’re just trying to get to the next waypoint in under an hour, just like I do.Likewise, many people you probably assume to be training are actually just running for their lives… more than once, I have seen people merrily killing some mobs, when suddenly Dynamic Event! 10 mobs spawn in front of you! (Been the victim of it too. Never managed to run. I’m a bit slow that way.)
In short: yes, this game’s system allows training, and newbies might be served well knowing this… but the game also forces running for your life sometimes, and as an unintended victim of angry mob trains, you’re well served to remember that. (Definitely served my own blood pressure well.)
I just gotta say earlier today I was merrily slaughtering separatists with my jaguar and short bow when BOOM pops a dynamic event to kill separatist trebuchets that are surrounding me, each guarded by about 3-4 separatists.
Hmm…i thought to myself. What to do?
Wel it’s simple. I stood there and shot them all to death, destroyed the trebuchets, and continued standing there while murdering more separatists.
The moral of this story? Well..i don’t think it has one
Different professions have different speed buffs (ex: thieves have a 25% passive, rangers have a 10% passive, ele’s have an omgwthsuperspeed%) not to mention so many professions can self-swiftness is some way or another.
But if you flank them AND crit, you can stack bleeds twice as fast! :O!!!!! You might even be able to get to 25 stacks all by yourself!!
I would love using my ranger without the pet. I never liked the idea that a “ranger” traveled with a pet companion.
Heh…this was/is a real annoyance for me.
I rolled my ranger after seeing a picture of a ranger in vigil armor dyed silver and black, and I thought he looked epic.
My thought was my ranger would be a scout for the vigil, traveling with his pet for extra protection while he scouted out enemy positions, reported to the main force, and then skirmished on the outskirts/flanks.
Of course I then accidentally chose Whispers which screwed up that whole plan…not to mention their medium armor is SO not ranger-ish. It’s definitely thief armor.
I like the bots. They let me wander over to that bridge, and use my AoE to slaughter tons of centaurs for low level mats. Cha-ching!
I definetely don’t want to use MH sword – that really highlights his slowness! (Compared to thief MH sword)

Ok, so before anyone starts jumping to conclusions and foaming at the mouth, let me clarify some things.
I absolutely LOVE my warrior. I love his armor, I love his weapons, I love his looks, his story quest, hell I even love having to carry like 12 weapons in my bags!
My only issue is this. I played a thief to 57 and a warrior to 60, and my warrior feels so kitten SLOW!
What weapon set do you guys feel is the most fast-paced? And also, is there a way to increase his movement speed?
The ONLY part of my thief I like is his fast speed and animations. He falls over if he’s hit by a breeze, and he might as well be wearing paper his armor does so little. I don’t feel that way on my warrior and I love it.
2H Axe is like an absolute must!

To say I’m frustrated is an understatement. Never before have I died nearly as much in an MMO. A perfect example is in the one map there is an event to help clean up a mess from a nuclear explosion that the robot turns into a huge fire elemental. The “Embers” which are fire monsters with wings will 1-hit me. Often I’m totally dead without a chance to turn into mist or attack back.

What other zone are we talking about?
You realize high levels get scaled down right? So while he’s more powerful then everyone else around him, he’s certainly not a lvl 80 god, nor even a lvl 20 god.
You’ve fully paid for the game. You bought it. Done. No monthly fees.
If you’re bored at the moment, there’s nothing stopping you from going to play a different game for a month or 2 until new content is released.
