Looks like the Fractal Shield (i believe) which you can get in the higher levels of fractals.
Correct me if I’m wrong
Farm cursed shore events for a few hours
If you want the fastest class with only PASSIVE bonuses (like I enjoy, since I HATE having to click a skill constantly to move faster) you would like an air ele or a thief
I really think you’re blowing this way out of proportion. Although that might just be my bias at work since I find this thread pointless and keep getting irritated when it pops up to the top and I think it’s a thread I’m interested in because of the new post icon.
stats on weapons only work on the atacks of that specifick weapon.
According to the wiki http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sigil it does not matter what weapon you have the sigil on, however if you look at sigil of accuracy, http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sigil_of_Accuracy
they do not stack at all, so using more than 1 is a waste.Interesting, I was aware that the bonus does not show up on the character stats screen. But was unaware of the non stacking portion.
However, for example something like Sigil of Air, chance to cause lightning strike dmg, will work on either weapon. So you have Accuracy on your mainhand for extra crit on those attacks, and you put sigil of air on your shield, your mainhand will proc the lightning dmg. Stacking two sigls of air does work, but it’s not a straight increase like two 30% chances does not equal 60% chance, but they do stack.
You can do the reverse as well. Air on your MH and Accuracy on your OH. It makes no difference.
I don’t understand why people (not you, the guy below the OP) believe that sigils are weapon-specific. It boggles my mind since tons of posts prove that is incorrect in every thread asking about it.
Maybe missing fields of ruin. Not sure about how many hearts are there though
The word you are looking for here is ‘bought’.
You’re welcome.Which baffles my mind because the rest of your post is just fine.
I know! I thought I had mis-read it a few times. :/
Well, it wasn’t your bug report that fixed it. When the server resets, it fixes all (most?) of the current bugged content by force-restarting them, which usually lets stuff work a few times before it bugs again.
Neural, I would wait until the next patch which will indeed reset the server and try again. If it happens right after a server reset, i would say it’s probably your PC, since this isn’t a widespread issue.
That happened to me before as well, I lose 15g worth of materials.
I assume that this was implemented to make up for lack of trade; all you have to do is stand next to someone and it will fill their name in for you, a kind of pseudo-trade. However, all it does is cause issues so I hope to see it go soon.
Unfortunately, you really have no idea at ALL how many people are playing on the server. Just because you don’t see or hear many people doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
Tell your friends to try at off-peak hours (maybe like 4 a.m. or something like that).
MF doesn’t improve your loot, it only gives a higher chance of getting the rarer loot. So yes, if a mob only has junk on its table, you will only get junk.
I had to use multiple stones to get the exotic down to fine type for my lvl 3 toon. I tried to go directly but it would not allow it on 5 pieces of armor…..ie 15 stones (5 fine,10 basic)
Just wanted to say I have never had that issue and I’m used over 100 fine and 600 basic transmutation stones.
Well you’re not going to get a Dev reply here, that’s for sure.
I still think XP is the best. hi-fives Shpongle.
Windows 8 is way too “mobile” for me to like
If it does work, can you stack this sigil on main hand/off hand daggers for 10% chance to crit?
Thank you!
No. Weaponmods only apply if you actually use the weapon.
so on main hand this will give +5% change on crit when you use a mainhand skill.
On offhand this will give +5% change on crit when you use an offhand skill.keep in mind that some skills work as multiple hits.
e.g. AoE ele skills, each hit has a +5% change to crit. if your a thief using dagger dagger, deahtblossom (skill 3) works as follow.hit one is with your mainhand dagger. if the sigil is there you have a +5% change to crit.
hit two is on your offhand. if the sigil is there you have a +5% change to crit.
hit 3 is again mainhand. so if your sigil is on that weapon you have again +5% change to crit.
I know for a fact that this is wrong insofar as talking about something like Sigil of Fire, which causes an AoE burst on crits. If you have Fire on your OH weapon, your MH autoattack can activate the burst.
I don’t know if that’s true for percentages boosters but I would imagine it would follow the same idea.
I’m pretty sure rune bonuses don’t show on the UI as well.
I remember a few months ago I thought runes were useless because I would get a +10 power bonus but it wouldn’t show in my panel, not realizing it WAS improving it, just not showing it. Not sure if this has been fixed.
I don’t think anything is going to happen because kicking people out of dungeon groups isn’t against the TOS afaik (I could be wrong about this) so therefore they didn’t do a punishable offense.
The person is right next to the Mystic Forge
Dulfy is a hero. I shall send you money as a donation sometime this year!
I’m not 100% positive but I believe the item will still SAY soulbound but not actually BE soulbound.
Try banking and moving it anyway
I leveled an engineer to 80 and kited absolutely nothing. Even used the FT which is much weaker then grenades.
My advice is if you want to keep using grenades just keep up-to-date gear and not quite normal mobs, and then maybe change controls for end-game dungeon movement (which may not be necessary. I know I function just fine with the default)
Crafting boosters will give you 12 levels per profession.
Artificer is probably the cheapest making potions 1-400
Buy crafted blues from the TP because the price is only a few coppers over their vendor price so once you’re done with it you can get most of your money back.
Crafting is a waste because you’ll spend more money getting levels to make new gear then you would just buying and then vendoring the gear.
One of my guildmates has all particle effects turned off but he did it via his graphics card. Not sure how or even if you can do that as well.
Warrior for sure.
The necro axe is really only for niche purposes and is outclassed by other weapons.
The ranger axe is outclassed by piercing arrow SB
However, the warrior axe can compete with the GS as the top DPS weapon
If you use a crafting booster (boosters) each 1-400 will give you around 12 levels. So you’ll only need 6 and most of a 7th which can save some money
you will lose it and you will have to make it all over again.
But is +5 power really a big deal? I know I wouldn’t spend any money / skill points for +5 anything.
To some people it is and they will
Why not just transfer to a server that has the keep? That’s what a lot of my guild mates did for WvW completion
Pets are actually really good. Lots of extra free DPS basically.
Pet’s aren’t “extra” DPS.
Ranger + Pet DPS should and mostly does = other classes DPS. Ranger damage/DPS is lower overall because the pet is supposed to make up the difference and equalize you with others, not give you an advantage.
I have 6 80’s and have not gotten an exotic drop, although I haven’t farmed in quite a while.
Yes
15Charx2
When did they change that, Mercury? I had a guildie use the white-item transmute trick to get faction skins within the last week or two.
Amaterasu, the trick (if it still works) is to transmute the skin onto a cheap white item of the same type. Bank that. Then take it out on the alt and transmute the skin onto that alt’s gear. You can’t swap stats like that but you can swap looks. Note that you will lose the statted item so you’d best have replacement gear for both alts ready to go.
The trick still works. In the patch notes about a month or so ago they had something listed about fixing soulbound transmutations but it never affected the trick
You can’t delete a mail that has money or items iirc. Money i’m sure of, but I could be wrong about items.
Try Chantry of Secrets
Well then you certainly wouldn’t want to spend time with me, because I absolutely refuse to run dungeons with sub-80’s, although since I always run with a guild group it’s not often that it becomes an issue.
If you’re not 80, be prepared to get kicked out of at least some dungeons groups. Many people don’t like running with sub-80’s, especially in the lower dungeons like AC Explorable where lvl 80 groups can steamroll the content and don’t really want to be slowed down.
If you’re just starting, do not play an Ele. It is perhaps one of the worst things a new player can do.
Even someone experienced in the game can have issues with eles, and you don’t need to struggle with both your class AND figuring out the game.
I would definitely recommend playing a warrior or ranger, at least until you become accustomed to the game somewhat.
+1 for smelling really good.
You can only send/deposit what you’ve accumulated yourself, as Khisanthe posted above. I also don’t know account or character-wise, but I assume character-wise as a way to hinder gold-sellers.
That was really helpful
Impossible to tell with any degree of accuracy since no one but the devs has access to real server statistics.
Deleting/selling the armor doesn’t remove the points you’ve gained.
Signet GS or A/A build is the quickest and easiest way to level to about lvl 60. After that, you can go more defensive in your build to survive better when the signet spec starts to lose its value.
You can’t do it in WvW.
I’ve never had an issue with it outside of that though.
It really serves no real purpose because the small buffs they give aren’t really necessary enough to waste the coppers it costs.
The little boost in stats doesn’t do a whole lot. The only exception of course being MF food which is just epic.
Bullkitten….the buff gotten from just one omnom berry tart equals one of your best pieces of jewelry. It may only last 30 min, but its a dynamite buff. Other potion buffs are pretty cool too…undead slaying is a favorite in Orr.
Not opting to use these things is personal choice….but choosing to not use them because you think the don’t do anything is just ignorant.
If you had read my earlier post, you would have seen that I said i make an exception for MF food because it’s the only useful food.
I think you’re making a big deal out of nothing.
If you group/play with your friends and family a lot, don’t transfer. If you only chat when them, transfer.
It does not apply to chests. And yes, MF is calculated when the mob dies, not when you loot it. So killing stuff and switching to a MF set doesn’t change anything.
I don’t run with any non-80’s in dungeons simply because I want the dungeon to go as quick as possible, and 80’s are simply more effective when scaled down then low-levels.
The devs have officially stated MF ONLY affects loot dropped from mobs. Absolutely nothing else.
