Yeah, I guess I come at it from a different perspective than other players.
Being a bigger character, I get frustrated easily by jumping puzzles. The camera freak outs are especially annoying when you’re in danger of falling with a misstep.
And I didn’t think of the Gardens as a “Jumping Puzzle.” I stumbled onto it because I’d beaten the Guardians of the Earth and entered the portal, because…why not? Aside from the Canticle of the Sun jumping puzzle, the other Canticles are more about exploring and defeating some vets. Not so much the platforming.
After getting all four canticles, I just expected more, you know? Though the achievement was kinda nice, I guess? I’ve never been a big achievement bragging rights kinda guy, though.
Then it’s just not for you.
It only works for dungeons and, I think, personal story missions.
All you need to do in join the party (which are cross-server) and be in the same zone as the dungeon (like normal) and you can do the dungeon.
No way to do hearts/explore though.
For some builds, 6 runes of divinity are far superior to any other rune. What immediately comes to mind is a glass cannon GS/rifle warrior. There is a reason they’re so expensive – they’re the ultimate glass cannon runes
And then you get to put your armor on!
You can wear town clothes anywhere, but they disappear when you take damage. Silly way for ANet to set it up. :/
Why? They’re town clothes…as in…clothes you can wear in town. Not in the field. Then they’d be field clothes
It’s like this on every single major MMO forum in existence. There is always some type of new player forum where questions get moved to.
And finally, I just want an opinion. Are “charge per kill” sigils (Sigils of Conjuration, Sanctuary, Demon Summoning) useful at all? There’s some cool effects, sure, but once every 26 enemies seems way too random to be actually useful when needed.
if you are dual-wielding you can have 1 on either weapon and it only takes 13 kills then.
13 is a cool number for necros, so dont discount it like the post above has.
All of them are useless compared to other sigils since all the charge sigils are gimmicks.
I’ll answer the unrelated question. The armor variety starts at 80 with some variation before 80. You can get them via Order you choose, your race tiers located in your home cities, karma armor, dungeon armor, crafted armor, etc. www.gw2armor.com is a good source for armor sets.
GW2Armorgallery.com is also a good site. I believe it has more armor then gw2armor but gw2armor gives more varied photos

Iron is a nice dark-blue that is darker then ebony.
WoW specially designed their engine to be able to run 3rd party add ons, and I still believe it was the greatest feature that has ever existed in MMO-history.
I regularly ran 100+ add ons and it makes the game SO different. Sometimes I miss WoW just because I miss the add ons.
It unblocks itself in a little while. The spam filter does it. They’re not going to do anything because its benefits far outweigh its negatives.

Considering I posted a glass cannon thief or warrior a little bit above that post… xD
If I had to order them in highest damage, probably:
Warrior (GS or A/A)
Thief (D/D)
Engineer (Grenades)
Guardian
Ranger (SB)
Necro/Elementalist
Mesmer
*Note. Just my opinion.
I find some maps have enough people while others have very low numbers. For example today I was in Dredgehaunt Cliffs doing a bit of mining and gathering, the place was almost completely empty with the map full og Events with noone trying. I did a couple, one alone and one with one other player. Later today I took my lower level Ele there because he hadnt been before and I am trying a new build, anyway same Events are all under way just like they were this morning.
On the other hand I find some maps with lots more people. Then again there are often quite a few in Straits of Devastation until Balthazar is done then it empties.
My point is (wo this guy waffles) is maybe you will find more as you play, perhaps you just haven’t been in one of the more popular maps. Who knows?
That’s because Dredge Haunts is AWFUL :4
You can’t have characters on multiple serves.
You can be in a guild cross-server. although you won’t have use of any of the upgrades (i.e. bank, bonuses, etc) because the guild rank is different depending on the server. But you can still chat.
Love that answer Coding!
Yes it does. I believe there is a thread a little further down about the same thing.
gw2armorgallery.com is another great site with most of the in-game armors. Search by race and gender.
In the tailoring window there is a list of types of things you can craft, and one of them is labeled refinement.
Salvage kits create the raw materials, which you then refine into the actual stuff used in crafting. Once you refine them you can use them in the discovery panel
You only get an issue in chat when you decide to keep saying the same thing over and over. Normal conversations don’t get suppressed, and I can attest to that since i’ve had hour+ conversations.
I find absolutely nothing wrong with the current chat implementation. While I admit that it sucks for needing to LFG, you can word a LFG message in so many ways you don’t get suppressed.
What you have to do is go to all the different temples and buy the toughness and vitality pieces from each vendor. You’ll end up with 1 entire set.
I want a skritt plushie so I can BURN IT. cough Ahem. I mean, I would love a sexy human plushie so I can snuggle it
Orichalcum is daily. Lettuce is not. Just like iron is not. Different nodes have different timers.
Quoted from the wiki:
_"Most nodes respawn on the same map in a few hours, sometimes as little as one hour, with the following exceptions:
Rich metal veins: approximately 23 hours.
Node farms: approximately 23 hours.
Orichalcum Ore & Ancient Saplings: at midnight UTC (5 pm PST), i.e. once per day"_
(edited by LithePanther.5027)
Different nodes have different spawns. The wiki may have more information about specifics.
They might say that but they might be withdraw-able.
The transmutation trick leaves the stuff soul bound but still able to be moved.
So give it a try!
You are a beautiful person and deserve riches to be rained down on you.
Maybe check your explorer tab to see which “section” of the map you have the lower explorer xxx/xxx in. You might have missed a little section somewhere and that might be able to help pinpoint it.
*Note: 100% map =/= 100% explorer
I don’t believe there is one. I think the best one is a green you get in Cursed Shore from a karma vendor.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve never seen an exotic one.
Edited: Green, not yellow.

Ahh, the wonders of the internet, where someone always takes sarcasm so seriously.
Go Guardian. Better survivability, better damage, cool blue glowyness. Epic.
The difference, of course, is that while they’re hard, they ARE solo’able.
I can’t come up with a single group event I could realistically solo unless I was running a specific class with a specific build created just for solo’ing powerful veterans/champions. Even that sounds sketchy and might very well be impossible.
Just a note here: I would recommend not taking up a crafting profession. You can gather and sell the mats and buy what you need to make a profit instead of wasting lots of mats leveling the profession. All those mats you used, you could have sold for money and thus you’d end up with the same armor and more money if you just sell the materials.
Well he could be getting the money and not realizing it. I have never heard of someone not actually getting their money from DE’s before. And i’m sure if it was from the last patch the forums would be exploding about it.
@LithePanther: it actually is stickied :P
@OP: Check this site. Stick around with the Claw of Jormag events, and afterwards say in chat that you LFG HotW exp. Usually on my server there are quick groups forming after the Claw of Jormag fight.
It is? Well, good! It deserves to be. xD
Not a problem. It should be stickied imo.
There is a coin counter that has 3 different types of coin. Gold, silver, and copper. Every 100 copper = 1 silver, every 100 silver = 1 gold.
Do you have something like 1 or 2 silver and then 30 copper? If not, did you buy anything accidentally?
Are you sure that the problem isn’t that you’re losing money but that the copper you are receiving is being added up to silver and you’re not noticing that you have silver + the smaller amount of copper?
I don’t know but you can use GW2armorgallery.com to see if anything catches your eye.
While I can’t help you any (living at college w/ 0 friends and never leaving my dorm) I am going to closely follow this thread as well.
I think everyone screws this up the first time. I firmly believe this question gets asked more then “when’s the dragon up?” in the dragon zones
That would probably get suppressed as well.
Honestly it’s annoying but I’ve seen a MUCH reduced amount of gold selling spam since it was implemented. Same for mail suppression.
You’ve been served a varied and delightfully sumptuous banquet — and all you want to do is wolf it down?
Aye. The game will really start for me when my characters have a combined level of 640.
Then I have no idea why it didn’t give me credit. I nearly missed getting the monthly because of it.
It happens when you repeat the same message 3+ times in a row.
You need to change up your message quite a bit to avoid it. This was implemented to stop gold sellers.
Gearing up at 80 is easy. Soulblazer wrote it up perfectly.
The minute you turn 80, if you have enough gold (not sure how much since the huge price increase lately) you can have the best gear in the game (except for rings and back pieces).
On the subject of rangers: There will always be people attacking a class and there will always be people defending a class.
I’ve made my opinion on rangers known in this forum quite a bit, so I won’t reiterate it. Suffice to say, it will take a LOT to make me ever log back onto him.
With that said, play what you like.
