I did an organised farming on bosses in pavilion last night and you can farm 100 of them per 10 minutes if you get a golden chest so I think it’s the best way to farm.
and where to find that organized farming??
megaservers make it terribly hard to have an organized farm… you need to be in one guild that organizes it and then get every guildmember in the same instance….
not really the way i want to see it…
servercommunities are there and could organize it easily but with megaservers its really hard to reach that….
- You organize…. after the instance you log in to finishes the 45 minute run that it’s 10 minutes into.
- Guest and pray you enter an organized instance.
- Open the LFG window and stare at it until you see for “Crown Pavilion, organized.”
- Cold call everyone on your friend’s list hoping one is in an organized instance and is willing to ferry you in.
When you get into an organized instance, loot flows freely.
But chances are when you log in, your instance will already be 1/2 hour into the event with 3 bosses down and at least 1/2 hour more before the nightmare ends. Only then do you get the opportunity to organize.
You can randomly guest to other servers and pray you’ll get into a good one.
You can stare at the LFGs, hoping you’ll see “Organized Crown Pavilion.”
Not good.
You can report using every possible method until you’re blue in the face. But they will never act.
Try it, then add the griefer to your friends list, you’ll see.

I got a Heavy Supply Bag drop from a centaur in the Crown Pavilion. Please fix, for the sake of the economy.
Or you just slightly change the code so that all 4 weapon slots are considered “equipped” regardless of land/water status so there is no “unequip” event to remove the bloodlust stacks on the land/water transitions.
This is exactly what they wanted to remove in this latest patch.
the last Pavilion before this one played havoc on our economy.
Not sure why people keep propagating this myth.
30gold an hour farming dead eye? Drop after drop from farming mobs that turned into a watchknight that dropped more loot?
Deadeye was Gauntlet. And just because there was more mat drops doesn’t mean “havoc” was inflicted upon the economy.

One way for Anet to bypass people’s Magic Find is to create more lootless mobs and to give rewards in chests (which aren’t affected by MF).
I wonder if that is part of the reason for all the lootless mobs we’re seeing these days (at world bosses, Pavilion, for example).
Indomitable = Lazy design.
Bottom line, bad game design is bad game design—no matter what people come up with to compensate for it.
what exactly is bad about the design? it’s not anets fault that some players can’t use simple thinking to figure out how to effectively do something.
Open world content should be designed where if you have a sufficiently large organized group, you will win, even if a disorganized group also participates.
Currently, if you’ve organized people, but randoms refuse to listen, then you’ll all fail. This causes lots of conflict and GTFOs in chat.
One thing to consider:
If you’re in a bad run, it may be better (lootwise) to just leave the instance (and forgo your rewards) and play other content than to stick around AFK doing nothing.
And even if you’re in it for the achievements, not the loot, it may be better to try your luck guesting into another instance.
The less they tell you, the more you hoard. The more you hoard, the less bank space you have. The less bank space you have, the more bank slots you need to buy with gems. The more you buy with gems, the more chance you do it with real money.
I know this is just a typical whining thread but, with an organized group, this is laughably good farming.
15-20 tickets, 80 tokens, 10 champ bags, all under like 15 minutes. And repeateable too. Good stuff.
Sounds like the Gold reward should be nerfed?
So you enter the Crown Pavilion and the instance you end up in is in the middle of the Boss Blitz. They’re not doing well. It’s maybe twenty minutes in and they’ve only killed 3 bosses.
You’d like to perhaps try to organize a good run from the beginning …or maybe you just want to kill one of the already dead bosses for your achievements.
But it’s clear that it’s going to take at least another half hour to finish off the rest of the bosses. Your play time is limited. What do you do? You can join in, but all you’d be doing is scaling up the event, possibly prolonging the wait time.
You can use up one of your guests, but it’s likely you’ll end up in the same situation, or even in the same exact instance you’re in now.
The default instance I log in to has so far always been in this situation.
TLDR: Perhaps Boss Blitz should have a failure condition/timer so that there’s a quicker turn-around time? It would allow players to try the event from the beginning more often, and thus give more opportunities for people to organize — once the Blitz is in motion, there’s no hope of organizing.
No feeling of community = no one cares about winning or losing. That’s why EoTM is a karma train.
Let’s ignore the First Rule of Fight Club. And now that that’s out of the way….
do they still exist? … or did killing the match-up forum also kill weekly fight clubs?
From my understanding, if SF and DR has the same score, DR will be 2nd and SF will be 3rd, and there won’t be a shared 2nd place.
At least that’s how I read it, since world rating wise, DR (1232.0845) is slightly higher than SF(1220.4288) at the moment.
The dev quote said that that was for tournament matchup purposes.
For final rankings… no one knows: especially since in the first tournament, there were ties in the final rankings. In any decently run tournament, this would be common knowledge to the participants.
It’s the only measure that players have available, so they use it. It’s as simple as that.
Troll thread is troll. Map completion and hearts are one-time.
Wrong.
Unless you are doing them with multiple characters. But I am inclined to think troll as well.
If Anet allows more than one time a day, people will create a new toon to do a heart, get the reward, then repeat. Can’t have that.
And this is not a troll thread. Look at the new content… every time we’re seeing more and more mobs that give zero loot.
Anet is actively moving people towards completing content (such as events) by loading up rewards for after the content is completed…
…and moving people away from farming mobs (no loot mobs) as well as farming content (hence the once-a-day).
Troll thread is troll. Map completion and hearts are one-time.
Wrong.
You can faceroll lifesteal in phase one… kinda cheating though.
Zero loot from mobs.
Loot is shifted to successful completion of:
- events (once a day per event),
- hearts (once a day per heart),
- map completion (once a day per map),
- dungeons (once a day per dungeon path), etc.
The nerve of Anet!
If you really stop to think about how many champions are out there in Tyria today, many of which sit safely ignored, it would be amazing if we could make it to where people actively hunt them down on a more regular basis. Though I would say that champ loot would need a small buff for this to be a good enough idea.
Don’t forget WP costs. But even worse, waypointing between maps is a REAL big hassle these days. You’d need to buff champ loot dramatically.
Plus, if you make champs lootable only once a day, people won’t repeat them… so depending on when you play, you might not be able to find anyone to run the circuit.
You’re in the wrong game. Damage meters and inspect commands will never ever happen. Instanced content: look at the sad state of dungeons/fractals.
I think a personal DPS meter that can’t be viewed by anyone but yourself might be acceptable to the GW2 community… but there’s practically no chance that Anet would ever bother to implement this.
Does the bone wall trick still work? Every time I’ve tried it she chills at the starting position for a little longer than usual, but still starts teleporting after a while.
Works for me the past few times I’ve tried.
Tried again last night. It was a very slow kill (mes solo) and she didn’t move.
Did you also do the Abomination? Was it de-aggroing you and targetting your illusions more than previous to the patch?
I’ve done it twice since the patch and he seems to be consistently targeting my phantasms almost immediately after spawning them — both times I almost ran out of tranq guns whereas before the patch, that never happened.
I don’t think Anet is able to create boss mechanics that require player skill, so they go the easy way: boss mechanics that require organizational skill. All of the mentioned fights are basically just a matter of herding people into the right place. Perhaps GW2 should be renamed Sheep Herder Wars.
As far as i see the gambling NPCs for lots of gold has been gated with event tokens, and the zerg thats going on below doesnt seem too profitable either.
So is there anything worth enduring or shall i stay in pvp and dont care as always?
Don’t bother. By the way, the gambits don’t reward gold anymore.
The new Crown Pavillion is working exactly as it’s supposed to. Those who’re willing to put in the extra effort to coordinate with their guild, server community, or game community at large can set up a farm for themselves where they can reap 8 champ bags and 50 festival tokens every ~20 minutes or so.
There are no more server communities. Megaserver, remember?
Anyway, 8 champ bags every 20 minutes is awful. And of course, you didn’t mention the buy-in.
Let me guess: you’ve gotten tons of armored scales already and want this spot nerfed so their prices go up… hence the post. Am I right?
Suggestion: When you have a foe targeted, the skill bar damage numbers take that foe’s armor and level into account when giving you the numbers — this way you get accurate stats. When no foe is targeted, have it work the way it does now.
In fact do the same for when you pull up the hero panel for your own stats (for example, I believe there’s a precision penalty against foes who are higher level than you.. it’d be nice to see that reflected in the hero panel).
Stay in front of him and he won’t rock them. This means running behind him and then going back to the front before he casts another attack.
Thanks! I’ll try that next time.
The berserker abomination in arah p2?
Didn’t notice any change when I killed him yesterday. He has always loved to attack my phantasms, though.
Yeah.. arah p2…
usually I can drop duelists at far range who would be safe, but now he consistently throws rocks at them. I would also drop swordsmen behind his back, then fight him from the front.. they would stay alive for a few melee attacks until l his jump aoe, but now he almost immediately turns around to kill the swordsmen first.
Since the May 20 patch, it feels like the Risen Abomination’s aggro has changed: with a mesmer, he seems to aggro on phantasms a lot more than before..
anyone else experience this also?
Anet likes their loot rare.
I’m not sure it’s because of the Asian market (though there are good arguments for that)… there’s already been a trend toward no-loot mobs (see world boss adds, for example), so the lootless mobs in the Pavilion is not that surprising.
I got a question about the video:
You’re able to damage/destroy barrels right at the start of the fight. I’ve only seen this when the barrels fire up and then the fight is subsequently restarted — for example if the party wipes… or if you run to Belka, start the barrels, WP back to spawn and run back again.
Is there another (better) way to get them destructible at the beginning?
By the way, why are the barrels never targetable even when they’re destructible? My mesmer illusions do not approve of this.
What happens if you go underwater and back?
Do you lose stacks?
I hope we didn t have the usual ANET “fix” breaking more than it fix.
Anet does not dissapoint:
You lose stacks. Unless you got your stacks underwater, I believe. Why? No idea.
Sad…. because the gambits were a great idea to add value to the base content.
And with higher risk/skill level = better reward .. it was good for players of all levels..
Best LS content, it was. RIP Queen’s Gauntlet.
Last time:
- Sprockets dropped from the Gauntlet which you could use to get tickets to fund your Gauntlet runs.
- Beating a boss gave rewards.
- More gambits = faster gold-per-hour as you got more gold per fight.
This time:
- No sprockets —> tickets.
- No silver for beating bosses. Only tokens and it seems only one token per ticket.
- Tokens can only be turned in for accound bound stuff, except the box-o’-greens.
Is it possible to make money at the Gauntlet now?
People will play content with poor rewards if it’s fun (see WvW). This is not that content.
On mesmer I can tab out against Belka and browse the internet while she dies.
How does this work?
Fight her underwater.
It’s called untrained wardens. What kind of bad do you think I am?
But what about her teleports?
Other exploits
which also answers his question (walk in an out of fight)
luv u colesy
LOL! Kinda relieved… I thought I was missing some major mechanic all this time.

I could have sworn the Gauntlet bosses were silvers last year, no?
How does it work? Does your guild have to have bought the mission before you can get credit (assuming you’re running another guild’s activated mission)?
- Starter zones are where you are supposed to learn the game.
- The game’s largely a zergfest.
- Thus, having a train in the starter zone is actually good: it teaches players how to properly zerg.
I think they’re trying to avoid that, haha.
…Actually, where else is a zerg needed, aside from WvW?
Pretty much all LS content.

People in BP realized that. There was almost noone playing yesterday night. There’s a genuine chance that we’ll let NSP win this week, even with the large advantage we’ve got. That’s just stupid.
Eh… I think the problem for BP right now is that we’ve played this same matchup literally for half of the tournament. It’s not that we’re trying to let NSP win… it’s that we simply don’t really care anymore. Win or lose, we will still finish in a poor overall standing in the tournament. Realize this. If we (BP) win this week, and place third next week, we get 6 points. If we finish second this week, and then second again next week we get… 6… points. Hmmm… No sense in putting in overtime in WvW just to get the same amount of points no matter what in the last 2 weeks. I’ll play for fights and loot bags, not for PPT or for this silly tournament format.
TL;DR: BP isn’t letting NSP win. It simply doesn’t matter if we actually win or not, so we’re playing for fun, not for tournament standing.
I don’t think anyone cares about tournament standing. Rewards, however, people do care about….
The loser of this week has a chance of getting enough tickets for a reward weapon (if they beat CD next week) while the winner has practically zero chance.
