A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
And this is when PvP players thibks the game is only PvP.
Out of PvP, RTL was the defining skill of a weapon that needs to have low cd.
But lets balance the game around the 1%… expecially when PvP means Player vs points.
and give PvP finishers dropping from fotm 50 chest in PvE…..
My opinion Is some servers are doing tactical mistakes
Deso few days ago lost 4 maps only to focus with all their players a T3 home tower in a really long fight against 1/3 or 1/4 sfr.
They won clearly but it took so long the went from 220+ to 50 points ticking.
BB also have a really strong coverage at some empty hours.
Kodash lost to that (sfr stops caring for PPT when they have a good advantage and start just looking for fights), and deso is getting behind to that.
SFR has a really good coverage, but BB is second just from other servers mistakes and few hours of the highest coverage.
They are playing with intelligence.
In my opinion the second place is still more than open.
And at least you don’t have a onesided tournament like Silver League.
Ele’s have the lowest survivability for a reason, because they do incredible amounts of damage. Using beserker trinkets and soldier’s armour you’ll still do more damage than a warrior, but have as much survivability too.
This is a wrong theory.
Ele dps comes from traits.
If you don t take those traits your survivability is BAD and youd DPS is awful.
Now Warrior can also use traits with the difference that a soldier warrior can achieve both a decent dps and a good survivability.
Also mobility.
Mostly because their dps is in their skills differently from ele.

Its nothing new, but sometimes you have fractals with HUGE spikes in damage for no apparent reason…
I could speculate it has something related to rerolling.
Prefractured, for some reasons, (suspect for rerolling for too long) you could find harder version of later fractals.
For example: you got a zerg patrolling dredge stage, or you could have bats in the rolling stones part of lava stage and stuff like that.
Also, you could have some fractals with mob damage incremented by a lot.
It’s difficult to notice at 50, but when you are at 20-30, and every single trash oneshots you worse than 50 is quite easy to see.
Tentacles at maw is another example hitting even for 30.000 (if i remember well i got hit past 50K also).
Its not frequent since i don t play much 2Xand 3X so i don t remember exact numbers but i remember for sure a hugely increased damage.
Could you tell me if there is any balanced versatile WWW build for both roaming and zerging using SW/X or X/SW or SW/SW and any other weapon?
Possibly not too tanky since i like to kill stuff.
Also may i ask if there is any war build using celestial armor or part of it? (not trinkets just armor since i have lot of wupwup boxes).

Just reverting droprate to prefractured would be enough.
I got all skins at that time.
(about 18% at max level).
Its current droprate that is irreasonable and also bugged since really lot of people reports drops being better at lower levels (see also reddit statistics).

If you plan saving money some level 20-40 runs could save you lot of moneys.
So i have put aside some ascended stuff and i wonder if i could get a decent equip/build from it.

aside the fact is totally false and biased.
What happens when some players get enough wealth to make the difference in limited resources?
That you get them sitting on the pC with their API (and many also bots…) to buy all the runes of strength possible when informations are released.
And that means ruining the game for thousands players forcing them to play stuff they wouldn t want to get gold.
But the best part is when that part gets NERFED just to add insult to injury.
TL:DR due to people like you IF i want to play WWW i need to farm gold FIRST to feed the market leeches…..
If i want to try some new build even worse…
DOn t act as White Knight…you are clearly the cause of a % of people quitting.

I’d better have devs working on some AI for their istances so maybe they can give us some sort of challenging 5PlayersVS5CPU to start with….and then start designing more complex mechanics.
Also that work could be reused for PvP and mostly WWW guards etc.

I almost never use disenchanter save for coe.
I think phant haste got less needed when they gave us the signet.
There areONE big things that help a market resist manipulation
that is balancing developers action on supply scarcity and oversupply rather than just tutelate flippers by never helping supply scarcity and create it from oversupply.
That screams “try to manipulate everything you can….John won t do anything about it and you won t risk anything”.

If anything i would choose between a pure reflect build:
0-4-0-6-4 and the balanced reflect phantasm that offers nice dps paired with good reflect uptime.

As weapon i put the GS since i use mostly for fractals pug..but you can use sword or pistol or even torch according to situations. (torch for skipping only even a White one will go).
They shold put back prefractured weapon % plain and simple.
They were easy enough to provide an incentive to run high level fractals without giving them too easy since you had the random skin.
That were 18,something % at 48 of a random skin (and 0% at 10 really -.- NOBODY ever dropped one at 1X prefractured…….and i ’d lower slightly to 15% since now there is the wardrobe).
Against a rough 5% now….

It took a year to me to get the one i needed.
They are skins and the only rare skins in game not gold related…they should be reasonably hard to get since you can play without them.
Oh you can do it without a thief…if you look at how it works…

Just try and fail until you memorized stuff with no hints…at that point its just boringly easy.

I’d return to FOTM if they added this. I quit last year when I realized RNG hates me nearly 300 fractal runs later and not a single weapon skin dropped for me or anyone else I partied with. But then I hear about people who played 20 fractals and got exactly the skin they wanted. WTF?

its nearly impossible to get 0 skins from 300 runs if at proper level…
Unless you start dividing them in 4 (4 fractals = 1 run) and then remove 9 +40 with lower chances.
That would made something like 21 level 50 runs.
Its quite common for players to look at their fractals completed number and forgive they are not “Whole runs” and then complain about receiving 0 skins.

True, we aren’t really stuck per say (In the same way that can start a mission in GW1 without a monk or ritualist, or take an MM to a mission without exploitable corpses), but unless you’re clear with your intentions and your party is okay with it, you’ll likely end up having to suck it up and employ to the game’s universal optimal attack pattern. I think we’d see a lot less of these Zerk threads if that was addressed.
Do you know that a non existent PvE issue already harmed WWW badly?
Even if its true zerker didn t lose much dps due to runes and sigil buffs, its even more true that there was a huge power creep for bunkers and conditions.
And yet the only issue is not healing….is the fact that WARRIOR and GUARDIANS (<== even support) are monopolizing LFG in PVE.
Now that war got back with even more dps than before and mesmer is bugged even more a fast look at LFGs will tell you what is the real problem of PVE.

What changes is the effort needed.
You want pve staff for free but you don t want to give up PvP stuff in Exchange… easy as that.

I don’t know if you are in the game for a long time, but let me inform you these skins have no prestige as before 2013 november update, fractal weapon skins vere pretty common and I dropped bunch of them as a casual fractal runner with ~30 personal level at that time. None of them I wanted (mostly staves, scepter and warhorn), but they dropped pretty often.

You want it balanced?

2) keep the track as they are and give 5% to get a fractal weapon as reward.
3) give the same random access to rank finishers in fotm.
There you have your balance.
P.S. prepatch was about 18% at max level of a random statless fractal weapon that needed a trasmu Crystal to apply.
Also it was way harder considering the AR wasn t enough, meant 1 agony attack would kill anyone mostly.

DD is pigeonholed mostly in 30 arcane….that makes people say everyone is using daphoenix build ._.

Its hard to explain but if you run lot of fractals you usually know how much damage each attack does…sometimes they have a 50% boost or more for no reason (no related instability etc).

“the something other” is more balanced since its not profession/build related but universal.

I use a similiar build but main difference being sub 10 earth for 20 air. It has higher crit chance/crit damage at the cost of non optimal protection uptime. Its a bit glassier variation

i guess people goes 10 earth for the 10% damage bonus….i run 0-20-0-20-30 for ages….but the 10 air doesn t outdps earth trait.

Ele is fun but mobility is lacking….gets nerfed more every patch (see boon duration this time) we are reaching mesmer slowly….
@aero actually DD ele is a really good dps 1vs1….not better than thieves yet really good.
Staff interrupts are quite reliable if you use it when zergs collide (needs timing).
I recommend:
Frozen ground just before they collide => static => MS+tornado (tornado interrupts itself) => unsteady ground.
People can discredit and insult him however they want but the fact will remain that no matter what D/D build you run now, it will always be a deviation of the build he popularized.
Mostly because every time you use ele and use few points in arcane and water (even 10) you get labeled as classic DD even if you are full zerker….
Daphoenix build was centered about surviving and attrition ….something dead under a pile of nerfs so NO today DD builds are totally different.
They Always stealth change stuff….it surprise me nobody said nothing about the mandatory dredge buff XD

The problem is any combination of power-crit damage in wich power was not the main stat.
I.E. celestial and assassin
So since 3 times in gw2 history happened an item lost significant value (that will be regain also in this case, and even ignoring the fact it was easy to predict as you can see in many posts in this section), it means TP has significant risk….
There is almost no risk…don t pretend there is because there isn t any unless you are really unexperienced with both economy and this game….

NB Weapon power is the same on any weapon of the same tier Soldier has the same base power than zerker, that is 1000 then you add stat bonus.

Crit damage was nerfed not power
Its more a tooltip change.
If you want to calculate difference you should look at crit damage-150% X crit chance.
(don t forget to add food and buffs)
