Its possibly sarcasm but i don t think a fight of 10 or 15 min is anyway different.
Its more tedious and less rewarding but not anyway different.

What i fear most is summoning iwarden

Each patch i get some nerfs on ele and some bugs on mesmers its a costant.

Ferocity is the obvious nerf the feel they have to introduce.

Anet goal is to destroy build every sigle feature patch even if not necessary… They maybe think pushing players to play the way ANET wants is a good thing…

Infused celestial items have 6% bonus, uninfused have 6,5%

Also ferocity and lore in haveing equal stats doesn t work

Anet should choose between ferocity OR having celestial with crit damage as primary.

Aye. the nerfs are hitting the classic wvw dnd ele in the area it hurts. Yeah individually there are numerous small nerfs and when added they hurt.

I m running 30/15/0/15/10 or 0/20/0/20/30 or 0/30/0/20/20 is it classic?

I don t think that a DD bunker is anyway useful in WWW and that is the only thing you can do.

Well you could go 0,0,10,30,30 with new healing sigils + runes.

and have 2 eles at each point just sustaining eachother whilst raining down aoes.

I don’t think they’ll be good at killing anyone, but really good at just not dieing.

Carighan maths is useless…
In game balance expecially WWW threw what was already unbalanced to ridiculously unbalanced.

I know for you math and lore is everything but if we want to bet gold on WWW complaints in 3-4 weeks you maybe will finally understand how much you are wrong.

(expecially since your math is wrong, lignoring lot of numbers related as always).

Nerf is wrong because its not balance.
If i reduce number to balance something is not a nerf…but anet doesn t reduce things to achieve balance, it reducethem to force meta changes thinking its useful…
Since they are clearly uncapable of pursuing balance they should avoid whack a mole.

Also i see since release a recurring attack to certain professions and defense of Others..
Any buff to first is marginal and useless any nerf is HEAVY and crippling

CAn you see the difference between 50% and 8%?
Or 250% nerf and 10%?

I see anet nerfing stuff to force people to change builds but for sure i don t see any balance and i never saw any effort for it in this game.

Dual Dagger elementalist in WWW…

It was already weak now was HIT extremely hard in 4 points:

1) rune duration nerfed from 45% to 20% max

2) celestial equipment that was the best set for the profession got a 50% nerf on critical damage compensated by useless 6,5 on stats people didn t want

3) Ferocity…since ele is squishy, has its mobility nerfed to the ground and can be kited easily needs to deal damage to compensate…..
Ferocity hit so harsh that you have to go full glass to compensate to be able to kill healing signet warriors (compare nerf to DPS nerf to see how it was buffed) or condi-bunkers.

4) in the meantime other profession got a second sigil on 2H

The buffs are just random and not compensating in any way.

I don t know why every patch has to be a DD ele nerf but i think we had already too many….

A D/D ele can t survive anyway for long even in bunker.
The hit to mobility was too strong long time ago.

So now we have a 25% nerf on boon duration
Celestial equip has a huge nerf to DPS
Ferocity does the rest

Hitting once again where it hurts more (that is the reasons why DD is weak).

That will only means you need to compensate pushing your burst at the cost of survivability…

Looking at patchnotes seems they buffed DD like the 8% healing signet seems a nerf…
In game its the opposite.

I know how anet “balance” the game…its not and never will be about skill…just accept that you can be killed by beginners using anet favourites professions…

The issue is in WWW now crit damage is risky and not rewarding…

But in this game risk/reward is a joke everywhere.

If this quote is from anet:

“We want to avoid “whack-a-mole” style balance.”

It’s rather ironic here, lol.

It was their interview the day before nerfing of 200% ride the lightning… nuff said.

I’ve killed thieves on every class. I’ve killed every class on my thief. I’ve killed every class with every other class.

Some just aren’t willing to learn the mechanics of each class. Doing that will give you a better understanding of what and when to expect certain abilities.

It’s what every pvper should do. Learn every class.

And you didn t read the part where if the thief want to run away in WWW he can t and you can t do anything to prevent it.

I need help >.>
In WWW i run a balanced D/D or staff ele… (mix celestial zerker and soldier…will mix more post patch, i’ll keep the armor and just change trinkets etc.).

I used boon duration 2+2+2 runes…
Now i ve to decide if going with rune of strength, reducing by a lot boon duration or go traveler and keep some.

I already used 2 travelers so i don t have the freedom of trying without wasting lot of gold :|

Also wich sigil should i go on staff?
I had energy ….battle doesn t seem appealing since staff use really few rotations.

Bloodlust or fire?

@Galeri: Knight all the way…
But you can still save armor and change trinkets etc. to get a decent balance.

That is a HUGE nerf….

And what makes me more angry is the TP is still ruining this game….
Really

How come that every single activity in game get nerfed while TP speculation is still rampant and even incentivated and defended by john smith?

Balancing is good, but if you leave speculation as it is, you are literally pushing everyone in it….
And actually this game is not TP Tycoon.

In this way there will be deflation for few players (tp speculators) and inflation for everyone else.

My gold won t keep its value…

Where is the “player driven economy” if you continuosly nerf everything except TP, increase crafting requirements BUT never move a finger against lack of supply (or supply manipulation).

Of course Anet has control of the economy. But this isn’t inherently bad. In fact your example shows how they use it balance the economy, not unbalance it. Before silk was worthless, now it has value.

This is a player DRIVEN economy.

ArenaNet still functions as the “invisible hand” that addresses significant problems (like those materials being worthless due to an excessive oversupply).

Did you two read the Whole post?

Its clear they address excessive oversupply.
Its also clear they don’t address lack of supply.

And that is the point.
Knowing that everyone with a decent amount of gold (or friends) is able to manipulate the supply….

What do you think would happen if Tomorrow they put a sigil of generosity in fractal exotics?

Suddenly they would add RISK and BALANCE a problematic situation
Or what about seeing people hoarding silk if they instead suddenly lowered silk requirements for damask?

At that pint TP speculation would really require skill and balance it.

P.S. according to my data i am a better economist than john… i cant show it but trust me..

P.P.S. another significant fact:
When they increase supply requirements they NEVER tell anyone.
When they decrease it they post it long before.

If this is a player economy….

How comes a DEVS increase out of a reasonable level the demand putting a 3X requirement on a good to actually CHANGE demand.

But refuse to do anything for lack of supplies?

I’ll tell you… because this is not a player driven economy….and also because he is not able or don t want to balance the economy.

But for sure that explains the GAME economy is extremely poorly managed…

When you have the power to change the demand and you use it at will you can t say a broken supply/demand is player driven.

P.S. solution…sncreasing taxes on buy and sales order similar to diminishing returns in PvE…
The more you sell/buy in the short period the higher the taxes..

The drum in www is actually cool…but quite limited.
You can also buy a vuvuzela and force players to open their option panel to mute it…

The harp has a nice sound.
But im personally waiting for violin/viola/cello or piano.

I find really interesting how TP players ignores even the most basic mechanics of this game.

Ever heard of diminishing returns?
Daily limited rewards?
Nerfs?

Oh i bet no because its all TP would need but doesn t have…also the reason why every player putting a feet out of the TP complains about the lack of balance in rewards…

P.S. also players drop doesn t come from your personal gold reserve.
TP is the only free pvp we have in this game.

Balance according to Gw2 should be every class being able to cover any role with a different playstyle but with the same efficience.

We are instead in an unbalanced trinity situation where some profession cover 2-3 trinity roles at once and Others 0.

play a thief and u will never need that mechanic .
a good thief will know where another thief ran in stealth and still be able to hit them

also pay attention to your auto attacks. if they change u r hitting them and could use a more powerful skill

…. would you bet 100 gold on it?
A good thief can read mind? or is it you met only really bad thieves?

Also not every profession has autoattack chain…

Whatever…its a problem anet should deal with.

LFG filled with profession requests is BAD.

how is it bad? how is it bad that a group asks for a warrior (for their banners), or an ele (for FGS and icebow), or some other class with the intent of getting the benefits that they provide?

perhaps it’s futile hope since these are pugs, but how is it negative? if I see an LFG asking for something that I can run with, I join it. otherwise I join another LFG. it’s not hard.

How is it bad you are out of a huge part of the game because you choosen a different profession or because you don t like the meta build?

And its not only PvE….you should hear what my guild says when i go ele DD in WWW <.<

PvP ruined the game…now its time to fix it.

Its not important wich profession could be useful…its important wich appears on LFG.

Open LFG for a couple of days and you will have your answer.

Warrior in particular can bypass alone so many mechanics in fractal that should get the “totally not AI exploiting but only legit tactic” award.
But guardian is mandatory.

We already said many times:

There are lot of gold sinks like ascended armors, waypoint costs, WWW (this is really huge) and many more.

Those are fair

And then we have this joke of economy that is both unfair, unbalanced and poorly managed….

But helps gem sales pushing every nice non TP skin out of reach.

Then we have an economist who has numbers and its an economist and uses his syuperior knowledge to balance demand offer like he did with silk…

Clearly the first day seemed a huge mistake….but we are not economists..
Nowaday silk is more expensive than gossamer….but we are just uneducated we can t see the big plan…

Casters are priority target in WWW….zergs have several tactics to kill them fast.
Also because of the rally thing….

If you try to run full zerk you find a thief on you or a killshot from somewhere on an iBerserker and much more.

Or once again when the 2 zergs collided with 0 casualties (because they are overbuffed with invul etc) those both go in the backline hunting casters before getting back.

But you actually hear often “kill the casters” from the commander.

P.S. and many servers are actually understanding how better necro is as a zerg caster.
Ele is Always the same old healbot….maybe with a slow attack every 3 minutes, that will probably hit the air.

Chase who?
People are still pretending you can guess wich direction a stealthed thief went, or when he is about to dodge while in SR….

Also if you go full glass you get killed in stealth before having chance to react…that is why nobody run full glass in www but thieves.

Don t give advices that relies on thief being bad and prevedible and attacker to be lucky…
It won t happen.

Those suggestion are useful as those saying to spam aoe randomly at the air just because you could kill a thief…

Chests drops like flies….

got 2 in the weekend obviously the same old nothing at 49-50…

As Always fractal are broken…its from release there are the same issues…just they got worse and devs denied it despite we had a huge statistical evidence (in the past was about rares).

The issue is not burst on cd…

The issue is this scenario:

Thief sees DPS Guardian, Guardian sees DPS thief.

Thief decide if he wants to engage or not and he is getting the first burst opportunity due to stealth.

But not before preparing a shadow return just in case…just to ignore any possible CC/condition.

At this pont i wonder how will the guardian mobility match thief.

Second case…
Thief is AFK looking map…Guardian sees the thief and burst it… ._.
On which you would balance the game?

Since it requires you to burn, its not oneshot.

Phantasm on weapon 1
Phantasm on weapon 2
Signet
Phantasm on weapon 2

no cd involved

Mesmer on P2 saves lot of time…
Pugs doesn t get it :/
You don t even need to stack, the boss will be dead in less time he would require to get to pillar.

Also mesmer has really high dps (tops an ele without FGS) in every situation reflect is involved or it can keep illusion alive.
