yeah….wouldn t be prohebitive for servers without such ICD…thus a master trait Worth only were ele has no issues… 1vs1 against power builds.

The issue is even in dueling pets and similar will make the trait useless.

Lightning flash is not there in the hopeless situation my opponent won t evade E5.
If you read it it says magnetic grasp not churning earth…..

Is to ensure i can slow them getting in range for E3 when they start to flee and the DD ele crippled by nerfs is looking at the horizon his opponent fleeing..

(or i admit it even LF+Air5 that is really hard to dodge but i could live without it).

If your enemy is getting out of range hit the FGS elite and chase the enemy down by causing him to be in combat and then spamming SoE , drop the FGS, hit A4 a5 then f3 f5. That can work 70% of the time.

I do miss the old RTL days though.

A4-A5 that is something doen t work against anyone with little experience.

Also you suggest to give up an ELITE, to catch a player that can:
-escape easily while you cast the elite.
-Kill you while you wield it because its really bad
-wait you to drop it and escape again with your elite on cooldown for minutes

I play www on daily basis…i tried almost anything…only thing that lets me win duels is DPS.

Because nerfing RTL means you can t no longer stay in fight…same thing Worth for any ele trying to follow me….its really easy to escape an elementalist….

Even with same skills a player fleeying can RTL/magnetic pull on ambients..
While the chaser can t.

burning speed is not a buff to defense.

Its your main damage source and locked in fire its easy to understand why its not blurred frenzy.

Its a minor buff to offence since having a quite long animation it could be interrupted too easily…..

yet the change is useless unless they give us a less expensive way to Exchange equipment…

If you need to change character, going to bank, swapping, loading new character and rejoining will have you booted from any party. (5-10 minutes?).

D/D is all about bursting in the few seconds you manage to CC your target hoping you won t be kited because your weapon defining skill to avoid that (RTL) was nerfed to Death….(also stacking might combos in the process)

Mesmer is all but boring in pve (well is frustrating for the lack of AoE in open pve but in istances is quite good).

DPS ele is a bad joke obtained from overnerfing skills and trying to compensate with traits

1) how are you Killing thieves, mesmers and warriors?

3) that is less then popular OP profession using already 2H (not to mention fasthands for warriors)

4) in WWW is situationally good….having to equip an elite for escaping purposes is more of a joke than pve.

Nike you don t seem to understand how stats works….
Its hard to explain why the change is bad if you refuse to read the thread with explanations…

Stats are balanced for EVERY set but a couple (magi etc being useless or condibunker like DIRE having everything.)
There is no way a (direct damage) set can have everything…..

On the opposite crit damage was necessary to preserve the function of celestial that was

AVERAGE dps and AVERAGE defense.

The change will make celestial
LOW DPS, AVERAGE defense, plus some random useless stat.

Now since you are starting a personal campagn against Valkyrie and balanced sets..

Can you tell me wich balanced build is popular?
I ll save you time…none…

You are wrong look for threads with math already done…..

Celestial will have lower dps compared to soldier and lower survivability compared to soldier…

You get some healing power that scales horribly…..and some cond damage that is used on really few skills …..

Stop treating crit damage as DAMAGE…..each piece of celestial gave crit damage to compensate for the loss of power and precision, keeping the powerlevel around SOLDIER’s level.

Was still the best set to experiment balanced builds switching weapons/trinkets….if not that it would’ve been better using cavalier valkirye etc.

Nike so a all around stat that is clearly designed for balanced builds will become a tanky equipment

That is what is wrong with the change (see functionality change).
When your dps falls back behind SOLDIER it starts being LOW dps and not balanced.

Usual shortsight in balancing.

Classic D/D will still be as it was and its going to be even stronger with Burning Speed/runes/sigils boost.You will just lose the crit dmg.

D/D is losing a lot…
-Crit damage was the foundation of the build since nerf.
-RUNE nerf on boon duration
-Other professions will get a second sigil while D/D won t get anything
-Nerf to FGS

A: 3 different: Rubberbanding, 1-2 seconds lag and the usual issue of evey skill not working except autoattack…

Q: What server are you on?
A: Seafarer’s rest

Q: Has there ever been a time when you or a friend are experiencing lag, while others in your party are not?
A: Yes only on issue 1-2

Q: Has there ever been a time where one party in a map is experiencing lag, while other parties in that same map are not?
A: Yes

Q: Do you experience the lag at very specific times?
A: ISSUES 1-2 happens mostly on monday 21:00-00:00 Gmt+1 (gets better at 1:AM)and sunday late afternoon
This happens even if maps is not full.

P.S. every check was done to ensure it wasn t client side nor for hardware overload nor for connection …. (gaming)

People still fails to realize critical damage scale on POWER

If i give a guy 90 % of 1 euro and to another 1% of 100 euro, the first one gets LESS despite the 90%.

Simple math….that is why celestial had high crit damage and yet LOW overall damage

Post patch will be amongst lowest damage across the board.

An ele with a FGS in hand can t fight anything but a PVE boss near a wall…
And its 180 CD so no…..

(to fight you ele needs to drop the sword and sacrifice the elite… while casting the same you already get a nice advantage….)

And that is an elite….

P.S. and once again no… reaper of grenth and glyph of elementals are way better for “fighting”.
The FGS is only used to escape or to catch your zerg….

If its single target nothing will change..
We will still be viable 1VS1 until the opponent will flee or get help.

At that point we will be useless as Always. (and i don t mean 1V2 i mean ele is bad 2VS2 or 3VS3).

Let see
Whirlwind attack cd 10 for 450 is comparable to burning speed (even if i d argue swiftness impact less burning speed)
Bladetrail on 15 seconds beats 2,5 times ride the lightning on 40 sec CD and only 250 more range (nobody gets hit by RTL long range) and have the same range assuming swiftness (conditions and CC are extremely hard to apply to warriors).

UTILITIES:
Are you comparing a single weapon warrior without utilities and not build for speed with the best speed build ele has?

So the least mobile warrior is still MORE mobile compared to the most mobile ele.

Sayng TP is good because of the gold sink is like saying the plague is a good remedy against overpopulation….

The plague lost alot of momentum though in the last couple of centuries, while the TP is still going strong.

That is because governments hadn t people supporting plague……

I would also argue that TP play rules would be totally illegal in real life….or even worse lead to wars and revolts…something that can t happen here.

Yet people leave for that reason.

You are right, a war where players try to kill each other to gain loot could never happen in the Mists. Oh, wait….

You can t wage war on players speculating …. afaik

TP is free pvp towards player that wouldn t like to play……(and yes its mandatory….there was even autoban BOT for people exchanging gold without it that assumed you was a gold seller).

And quit the game….

That is the same stuffhappens with a highly inflated economy…

The difference?
It affects 99.999% players rather than 100% players….and if you don t consider that, you can even pretend economy is good.

Anet position was the same as mine when asked about trasmuting light skins on heavy armors….that makes any discussion on it pointless….

Impacts X VS X fights when you can t simply click every player…anet had a valid point to refuse it in the past and i’d like to hear why they changed their mind…

I have 4 issues with the wardrobe system

1) People design for free helms with hairs in skyrim ._. anet still has this previous century design in wich helms makes your charcater bald……that sort of issue was dealt with more than 10 years ago in most games…..so the “all or nothing” is not good.

2) i wouldn t really use town clothes out of towns ….. and inventory space costs a lot ….since i d need also another 20 slot invisible bag to carry stuff i don t want to sell.

3) WWW implications? anet Always said they wouldn t let heavy users trasmute light skins in order to let people know te profession at first glance….
How is that different with town clothes? its not good having to click any profession to see wich class they are…

4) What s the reason to this? i can t see any actual advantage expecially compared to all the issues caused by the removal of town clothes…

Not a hard point to see…you don t get point to sit on a circle…on the opposite if you don t defend your stuff, the immortal opponent can come whenever he wants and steal your camps, ruins etc etc …. ALONE.

In WWW you have really few seconds to kill your target before it stealth away or run away… or its passive healing takes away all your work.

CC is not an option.

I could list dozen topics concerned with WWW repercussions where non thief/mesmer dps and balanced power builds struggle to be viable in a condi/bunker meta.

Its unclear for me also…
Example:

I have 2 banks slots full of fractal weapons…
If i get a character to level 80 and equip all the weapons on it, does it mean i can then salvage all the originals? (they have no stats anyway).

Or since they are already accountbound could i just salvage them without even equipping?

It may be true but only warrior have a passive heal that cancel your progression at no cost.

That means a base 22% buff for healing signet against any counter warrior has in www.

I m saying it since the ferocity annoucement.
Anything under 40% nerf will be a buff for warrior passive survivability.

lightning flash + magnetic grasp is the only thing that keeps ele working (with a huge risk and lot of effort).

Also earthquake + LF

At least for me….
WIthout it as i said i would be kited forever.

i choose the builds you choose the players.
a 30% nerf on lava fractal will punish ANY party not full dps while being ingnored by dps groups.

The sole argument against the ferocity is the fact devs didn t think to WWW….it will simply kill D/D roamers…since in WWW without the dps they will be kited forever…

Also it will mean a 20% buff to healing signet in WWW and easier disengage for stealth professions.

And remove the DPS effect on zergs (elementalist etc).

Bsically they will buff the OP and boring stuff we already have in www.
(except power thieves)

i tried 30 water….its too much.

But at least it provides cantrip reduction (see mobility) and cond cleansing.

WWW is totally unbalanced with profession like mesmer, thief and warriors being free to attack, disengage and attack again….and differently from PvP you “lose” if you don t kill them.

If they run away they still can harass many players making them lose time (1-2 can troll a spawn), they can kill camps, take away your captured ruins and stuff like that…..

I m extremely concerned about the dps loss or i wouldn t even think to change my build….
Ele since nerfs its to easy to kite….you don t have mobility nor stealth to catch up your target.

sorrow i m talking about WWW.
And in WWW you need burst and mobility… (except for the staff buffbot builds….that i hate with passion)
Means if you are critically hit you are probably under 50% of your HP….protection won t help.

WWW, DD and tank is not something effective since the lack of mobility+range compared to other roamers.

yes i do…..
because since i like roaming, it means dying before being able to heal. (for me at least)
