Flesh golem elite is a good minion to use i use it in all my builds O.o that knockdown is hilarious xD Used that crap on a thief earlier and well bombed him to death lolol was funny

you can run with stealth in a normal shatter cat build you know thats what i do in spvp decoy mirror images and i run signet of domination for the stun but you can change that out for viel and use mass invisibility for elite. works fairly well and most players if u get a good 1v1 going or even a 2v1 you can take them both out just by using mindwrack its pretty funny. Alot of classes now adays are getting verry glassy in spvp even guardians at this point i hit a dang 6.2k on a guardian earlier i was wondering why lol bunker is all good but normally if your a bunker guardian going up against 3 players 9 times out of 10 your going to die so why not try and kill those players before they kill you :p

MEH im in TC and i barely see anyone going for the dungeons 60 and below. especially AC which is the way i lvl up pretty easily to 80 for my alts. the max ive seen thier is 4 people.. through the day x.x

Dont understand what you are trying to say…are you saying that the shatter cat build is easy to counter or that all combo’s and skills in the game are perfectly balanced since you can dodge all dmg skills?

If we are talking WvW, i strongly disagree. The mesmer might be one of the easiest classes to play. Yes you cant spam 2 buttons and win but you can play with a bad case of tunnel vision and still survive better then near all other classes. For me degree of difficulty of a class is as much about getting the kills as it is about avoid getting killed when you are on the short end of the stick.

And compared to nearly all other classes the mesmer has better and easier to use escape tools.

And as i have said in other threads: we get useful stuff for our PvE suckiness and lack of reliable/sustained aoe.

you really need to open your eyes and read any burst combo is fairly easy to dodge with the exception of the thief steal C&D backstab combo because of the stealth issue atm. its the whole point why you have a dodge mechanic the point why you have a stun breaker. and aswell as condition removals if the mesmer cant set up thier combo and that goes for any class if they miss it you have the chance to counter and woop they kitten and im saying shattered strength isnt the problem here its people comming on here complaining because they got shut down easily learn to dodge learn to use your skills to negate that damage and you wont have a problem with any burst from any class. especially since you are an engi dunno why your not using your elixer S i think it is? to negate that combo just as easily.

From a mesmers PoV:
Clones/shatter is fine, except the shattered strength is too OP right now. Blink, mirror images+2 on GS/staff, F3 then double dodge weapon swap sword 2, again 2 for immo, then F1 and you can nearly destory any class in melee before they even know what hit them.

I can’t speak for other profession except for Elementalist and Engineer. These two professions are the most complicated to master everything. Ele has 50 abilities alone on the left bar including trait and dodges abilities. + other 5 on the left. Eng has full kit to choose pre-combat.

I don’t know what you’re deal is but what my post is trying to say is don’t nerf us due to misinformation.

I understand you man most of those numbers players posted they prob got hit that hard because they were a glass cannon spec and they cried cuz they died in one combo ofcourse your going to die ur a glass cannon for god sakes. but now i got a feeling anet is going to nerf the whole build and its going to be useless or they will decrease the damage on mind wrack.. i got that feeling right now. but we will see.

lol man man well ima let you on a little something ele is indeed hard to play i know this my ele is 80 500+ hours spent on that baby perfecting the right set up for me and finally i got used to it and now i rarely ever and i cant stress this enough ever… die in a 1v1 and 3v1 comes even easier if ur speced right you can tear your enemy to shreds on an ele at one point i did the regular old combo RTL>updraft>burning speed and literally took my enemies down from 100% health to half in that simple stretch.

But as to people claiming mesmer is OP yea. no its far from it i know shattered strength got a buff recently and now its 3 might stacks per shatter instead of 1 but that doesnt still defeat the fact that the combo is fairly easy to dodge if u have condition removals aswell as stun breaker. When im on my mesmer people fail to even remotely dodge this blurred frenzy combo they just sit thier luck a freakin rock waiting for me to come which makes it even easier. those are the people comming on here and complaining cuz they got wrecked in a few seconds from sitting in one place and not dodging.

Shattered strength isnt the issue here and if it was how do you explain this exact same shatter cat build before the buff was still killing people just as easily ? you might wanna go watch a few more of osicats vids before the nerf. he does it just the same as he always has. This build and will always be a glass cannon build just like thiefs just like a warriors and even an ele can do glass cannon with D/D spec and wreck ppl in seconds. it doesnt take much at all. that is the whole point except we have the escape capabilites of a thief to get away if you have the utility skills equiped at that time for people who dont they rely on that combo if you can dodge that initial combo then you might stand a chance. Then again ive been in plenty of fights where players still move around attacking my clones.. its just sad these days. Some of them need to actually play mesmer to know how to counter it many just choose to be ignorant and not try to learn the class before they come on here and complain.

ima try this for spvp i mean i tried it once but i didnt really decide on a solid amulet to use before but still did decent with rabids amulet but now i played around with the build simulator and it seems carrion amulet with celestial jewl seems to give good results to ur stats so ima try this now see how it fairs

I mean i can understand when u get hit with the blurred frenzy combo that crap hurts like really badly but thier are ways especially if u go 1v1 with a mesmer to totally negate that combo completely aswell as dodge the mindwrack. I admit ive gotten cought about 6 times with that combo but majority of the time its fairly easy to dodge when u got ur stun breakers aswell as your condition removals and aswell yes i use mantras especially power clense. its a must.

Anyways point of the matter is thats people who dont know how to dodge to completely make that damage miss. use ur stun breakers use ur condition removals its not hard. i can understand if u have none or they are on cooldown then yea ur done for. but whose fault is that for using them so early O.o hm. Ima need the DEVs to take a look at all the classes damage skills and balance it before they even begin to think about nerfing shattered strength. BUT! hey players who come on here and cry everyday get wat they want thats the way Gw2 works !

Sorry to inform you but that still doesnt prove that its OP at all. u should see how much i hit on my warrior on a glass cannon player my GOD the OPness of that class should be nerfed aswell. dnt forget the infamous backstab build on thief. yea DEVs watch it verry verry closely . that just goes to show the damage it can do on a glass cannon character not a bunker build. Bunker builds will eat up that damage as if it were a scratch thats why i go hybrid these days to get damage and conditions on bunkers so they die out quickly ^^

Ugh, I am gonna be so kitten if they nerf shattered strength. Finally I can play a support mesmer without doing crap damage; run in knights gear and boon duration buffs, run a shatter build and share the love of my staff and might.

If they take that away in PvE that just because people were abusing it in PvP; well… it’s complete bullkitten when guardians have a PvP/PvE split to keep it balanced but Mesmer’s changes come in only one flavour: sPvP

they wont nerf it honestly other classes can get way more might stacks than we can in seconds… sometimes instantly. except for thief they really dont even need any.

Reality check Mesmers. We are not easy to counter. If we lose to anything other then a good thief that got us with our pants down we kittened up. (or a good ele)

Dont type its a L2P issues mesmer is a top of the food chain class, if you are getting killed by alot other classes alot you are just not very good.

The cries of crazy burst are justified by every class other then Thief and Warrior…. however it seems to be Thiefs and warriors crying the most /shrug.

Burst needs to be toned down and not just mesmers.

I have no problems wat so ever facing another mesmers. Actually i prefer to face a mesmer above any other class because i actually have fun fighting them rather than some 1 freakin 3 shotting me within 2 seconds. but heres a reality check for you aswell.

have you not noticed that more and more players are getting familiar with mesmer enough to even know which one is the real you aswell as they dont even get fooled by our stealth skills at all i had a 1v1 with an engi earlier and this guy followed me where i freakin went even in stealth lmao i even tried to trick him one time he still on my kitten but he soon died from all the confusion stacks xD but still just goes to show its not really hard you can pretty much find us because we are the only clone thats moving and dodging x.x its pretty simple.. infact its verry simple.

And again it is a L2p. issue its not hard to counter us at all. play the class. till 80 do some spvp for 2 weeks. then you will understand wat im talking about. nothing but a class that is made to confuse you sure we have the skill in illusion trait that gives us 3 might stacks now but shatter cat mesmers need to set up thier kill in order to do the combo if they miss that combo. u have about. 8 to 10 seconds to down them or they can do it again. GS mesmer are even easier you can tell which is which simply because thier spatial surge shoots faster than the clones so you will never loose them unless they run away. which they usually do. Staff mesmers. meh had a few battles with condition mesmers isnt fun because on my build i have like no condition removals. so i did loose that fight.

tried that spec x.x how d.f do u even survive idk. and the damage is verry bad x.x

If you dont see how mesmer are borderline ridiculous in small scale WvW with portal, teleport, mass stealth/group quickness – “scatter cat” build – then you are playing the mesmer wrong.

Osicat is a really good mesmer and following his setup, i have little trouble taking on 2-3 players and either wining or getting away from them. Yea the thief can do the same, and that class is also pretty ridiculous because of the stealth but comparing a warrior with a mesmer in small scale is laughable.

The big difference between mesmer/theif and the other classes is the crazy “escapability” of those 2 classes making them nearly impossible to kill even against 3-4 guys at once. [EDIT: D/D ele’s can get nearly the same escapability]

Yea you can nitpick any class skill and say: look thats OP, its when you combining all the things that you see the whole picture.

Man u obviously havnt deviated from the mesmer class saying warrior in WvW isnt ridiculous hmmm wish i could show you a few rifle warriors hitting for 15k killshots. pretty ridiculous damage on a 9s cooldown. thiefs are borderline ridiculous in terms of raw damage with no risks wat so ever. and dont even get me started on ele. i main one and i can tell you can take on a freakin zerg by urself if u wanted to x.×.

P.S i never said anything about just WvW u might wanna check into other aspects of the game..

Try my wvw build and make some modifications based on your play style=good to go. You will be as tough as bunker guardian and D/D ele. I tried that build in spvp 1st before I went shopping gears and went to wvw, no one can kill me 1v1 in spvp.

But please, if you decide to ask a question, read the whole post because many questions have been answered many times. I know it is a long topic and you prefer not to read but if you are really curious, just take a half minute and research it in the post yourself. Tons of useful info.

BTW it was mentioned a few pages ago, and it is really helpful for any and all that use sigal of force (+5 dam): get an AC weapon and throw the sigil of night on it for nighttime fighting. Also works in most dungeons, esp AC.

Thier are different types. of AC weapons. i know its a long post going through it will take a long time i know he doesnt mind to answer it really. im just looking for an exact answer because im almost 80 i have 220 gold to spend on this thing and i wanna get it right the first time. because on my ele i spent a crap load of gold trying to find a good set plus runes and sigils and accessorys are getting even more expensive as we speak day by day.

Good to hear. From what I have read and been told, if it’s a game client issue a reinstall will useally fix it. My memory was new as well, only 2 months old. It happens.
But for your own safety, NEVER go to bestbuy for any computer issues. They have a well deserved reputation of causing far more problems then they ever fix, and I have first hand experiance with that. I get more business fixing computers that they have “fixed” then anything else. ;-)

Oh yes i KNOW! lol they messed up my first laptop i ordered they gave it to me with a bad harddrive in it so i got this one for free xD only had to pay 39.99 for the free service check ups so :P but usually i got to my cousin house but he is out of town so kinda stuck with no computer help lol

problem is no one commented on my posts for a whole day so really no advice at all. but still u need to understand im not the only person with this problem thier is alot of people with it so my client was fine before the last 2 patches ever since ive gotten those 2 patches it has been crashing constantly for no reason at all. i really dont see how that is my computer. in all support was wrong as in saying my computer isnt compatable and thiers nothing i can do but buy a new computer so how can i be playing before these last 2 patches fine and my game is running smooth as a babys bottom x.x

welp looks like anet support was verry wrong . i redownloaded the game and its working again as if nothing happened so hm.. the support girl told me that it was my computer apparently it wasnt the whole time it was the game itself so i suggest u guys take a look at this disconnection problem and dont ignore it because alot of players are having the same trouble as i am. and now mine is fixed thanks for nothing… ;/

as the title says ive been through everything at this point even support was not helpful i did everything they asked for and in the end they said my computer wasnt compatable and yet ive been playing gw2 fine all these months with no problems right? untill last patch which has been making me disconnect randomly through the day constantly and this final disconnection has gotten my characters all stuck so if i go to log into them to get ingame the client instantly shuts down and tells me to send the crash report to anet and i do.

My exact problem is ever since this last patch things havnt been going well at all and aswell i have alot of guild members with this same problem of disconnecting randomly and the client crashes.

If anyone can help seriously need it figure out how to even remotely fix this or do i have to ask for a refund on the game because i definitly dont wanna quit after all that hard work getting my characters to 80 and fully gearing them. but if i have to then so be it.

I am redownloading the game as we speak to see if it will fix this problem so hopefully it does and i can get back with my friends to playing and if it doesnt then so long its been fun. ill check back in on this in a few to see if i got a reply back from a support member who can actually look more into the problem.

i hope so because im still waiting and its been hours my account is litteraly stuck everytime i would go to play a character it crashes. waiting for any amount of a reply back from anet nothing yet. kinda mad because its almost WvW time for my guild and im missing out on the push.. x.x

wait till 46 and buy the rare set of armor and weapons off the TP the armor is about 4s or 5s a piece the weapons are about 8s to 10s a piece use those till 60 thier verry good

its not my computer or that its the game itself. i can go to the character selection screen fine after i click play on any one of them it loads then instantly disconnects ive been having this problem since last patch and they said it was fixed so apparently not because i also disconnect for no reason when loading maps aswell and now im totally locked out from playing the game because now i disconnect everytime i try.

no replies.. come on anet…

hey osicat how does this build fair in spvp i know the damage difference and the confusion damage aswell is verry low thier compared to WvW but have u tried it out with ur rune set up and sigils ? i wanna try and get good at this spec but i feel like it wont be as good in spvp than in WvW

And now its all my characters everytime i try to log in they all Disconnect. been having this problem alot lately… irritating.

currently im stuck in harathi hinterlands everytime i try to log into my character instant disconnect if anyone can help greatly appreciate it.

i just wish confusion would hit better in spvp like it does in WvW ;/
