Salvaging an exotic should automatically give you at least one ecto. Too many times have I taken an exotic that’s otherwise worthless (can’t use it, and it’s only worth 78s on the TP) and all I get is one silk cloth, or a mithril – and that’s just pitiful and unfair. Why salvage an exotic at all when there are rares that give the same kitteny loots?…
Thanks,

Okay mine’s working now. It must just take a little while.
I have also changed my password, and now it just won’t let me log in. Works just fine on the website.
Sea of Sorrows is contested again. Does anyone else have a finished event?
I’m still interested in an official answer on this. I’ve just run another 2 dungeon runs and didn’t even manage to get more than even 1 green. Don’t let me be a bloser forever!
I’ve been running at optimum magic find :T The only things I don’t have are the +30% laurel necklace/infusion combo, or the +30% laurel-purchasble MF booster. Everything else is as high as she goes (including sup sigil of luck). That’s what scares me the most though, I’ve been running at high MF the entire time and still no luck
Okay so here’s the deal. I’ve been playing since launch, and for the past month and a half I’ve been getting heavily into making a legendary for myself (Juggernaut specifically). The first 2 weeks of farming (running CoF dailies, and then grinding CoF path 1) yielded me a handful of molten lodestones, a bunch of molten cores, and a plethora of rares and even an exotic or two. Laurels get implemented, and now I’m back on doing dailies again (I was already doing them, but now with more vigor!). It’s been about 3 weeks since running a dungeon has been worthwhile.
I kill all the dragons whenever they’re up, I run dungeons, I farm CoF, I farm sparks for charged lodestones, and yet none of this pans out as anything ever substantial. Here in just the past week the loot has been worse and worse. At this point I can run 10 dungeons and expect to get maybe one rare, and usually it’s a nonsense “Fiery Elixir” or whatever that turns you into a stupid fire elemental.
The more I read about the “mysteries of diminishing returns”, the more I think “oh god my account has been permanently marked as a DR account”. Can what I’ve been doing possibly resulted in my account being downgraded to a “crappy loot only” status? Because that’s how it feels right now, and I would like an answer. Blues and greens are all I find, and it’s getting super old super quick.
Why is my loot crappy all the time now? Why does every chest only have blues and greens (many times not even greens!)? Please for the love of Grenth give me an answer!
Thanks.
I don’t have a smart phone, so I can’t use the 2-step authentication app. I’ve got the email authentication for the game account set up, and I have 2-step authentication set up for my email as well. However, I checked my “authorized networks” today (I had previously been hacked a few months ago and deleted all of the authorized networks to start from scratch) and found that there were authorized networks in Idaho, California and Europe. This is a bit of a problem since I haven’t traveled, and I’m in Oregon.
I would also like to bring everyones (including ANets) attention to this thread, http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/17zt6l/psa_check_your_authorized_networks/
Can we get a desktop app for the 2-step authenticator? And can you stop letting networks from outside my network access my account? I haven’t been hacked that I’m aware of, but it’s pretty bull-kitten to have so many networks that are obviously not mine, being authorized on my account.
Thanks,

It’s ridiculous to think that anyone could ever consider a skill like 100-blades “balanced” with results like these.
“Hey everyone! Let’s get warriors, put only signets on, greatswords and rifles, and just faceroll a dungeon! Oh you’re not a warrior? You can’t just teleport the whole group across? Worthless scum, get out of my party.”
A good fix to this would be either to just nerf the 100b damage by about 30%, or to make it do an extra 25% damage, but have an 8 second cast time. Seriously demoralizing here.
I haven’t experienced the DR then myself I guess. I don’t guest, and always get full exp/karma for the dragons. I was just worried it would be something like “oh you just ran CoF a bunch of times then went to kill dragon? You’ll only ever get blues because of all the chests you opened sucker!”
Good to hear it’s an incredibly noticeable reward shortage with actual numbers, and that it in no way affects me :]
I read that a dev stated something along the lines of “Diminishing returns are affecting dragon chests. We’re looking into it.”
Does anyone have any details on what exactly is happening in game?
@ANet: Can you give us an official statement on whats going on and what to expect?
Thanks.
So you’re telling me that when I go from Teq → Shatterer → Claw, I’m screwing myself on rewards because of some unseen diminishing returns??? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT?
Also, being able to run back into dungeon afterwards and claim it would be nice too!
DCUO styled “style selector” is my suggestion. I hate transmute stones, but I would pay $30 for a wardrobe to keep all my looks per character.
Can you guys like.. make it show up in a reasonable amount of time? I finished the boss, closed the cut scene, looted the chest, said thanks to the party – and I still didnt get my reward. I left the kitten dungeon (my fault I know) and didn’t even realize I hadn’t gotten it yet because it took too kitten long to pop up.
Please make this like the first thing that shows up or something. Some of us have Om Nom Bars we don’t want to go to waste so it would be nice to get the reward quick so we can leave.
Thanks,
-Lore
I was planning on making a Guardian to put a Juggernaut on before long I was always debating between warriors because they have fun weapon skills and boring utilities, or guardian with awesome/fun utilities (spirit weapons among them) and boring weapon skills. Now Guardian has neither the fun utilities I wanted, or the fun weapon skills… I really don’t want to play Warrior..
Anet pls
srsly anet
pls
stahp
pls anet.
They were balanced around the fact that they could only be killed with indirect damage. Now that they are free-for-all, they need to compensate somehow. My suggestions are as follows:
1. Cooldown needs to begin from the moment the weapon is summoned, as opposed to after it is defeated/expired.
2. Command skills need to not destroy the weapon on use by default (no more trait requirement)
3. Increase to survivability (they need much more health now since they die on a pin-fall)
That is all for now.
I would like to point out that as of the latest class-fix patch notes, Deployable Turrets remains both a non-functional trait, and has still not been acknowledged as busted by ANet.
Patch notes state that Healing Turret will maintain it’s toolbelt skill now, which is a semi-fix, but the issue still remains that not all of our turrets become ground-targettable outside of SPvP.
@Anet: Please acknowledge that this is an issue at the very least. As of right now we don’t even know if you’re aware that this is broken.
Thanks,
-Lore
I would be fine with the legendaries being auto-account bound as well (maybe permanently account bound as opposed to soulbinding on use).
However, I don’t think multiple people should have to level the same profession to 400 just to get a single item they need for crafting their legendary. That cheapens the sense of community and comradery that I would expect from a game that tauts its social/guild/teamwork aspects. Crafting professions don’t make anything other than these gifts, that are soul/account bound upon creation – why should these be any different?
Gifts, vials, bloodstones, none of these things should be account or soul bound. If you can sell a legendary on the trading post, you should be able to do so with all the materials.
This is particularly annoying for me because both myself and my wife are making Juggernaut, but I’m the one with 400 jewel/weaponsmithing, so she’s got to level them up herself and spend extra on recipes in order to be able to make them. That’s very inefficient considering we’re making the legendaries together.
Please change the mats to unbound.
Thanks.

I know that people acknowledge the issue of hackers using stored credit card information for making purchases on accounts, I think the reason it hasn’t made it to primetime news is because no one has lost more than X amount of dollars due to the spending threshold. While I think the system needs to be more comprehensive, I don’t think you should ever just say “oh well this guy said it’s okay to take the limit off, so let’s do it!” because as soon as you do, that person’s going to find a $5,000 NCSoft bill and be more angry and belligerent than the angry OP here.
What exactly is the spending limit though? I’ve not reached it personally (sorry!) but I’m curious.
I would be fine paying for additional traitline storage if that’s what it took, as long as I could have a PvE, Dungeon and WvW traitline whenever I needed them.
No seriously, get as much attention to this issue as you can. I’m glad that people want to add stuff to the game, but for this particular suggestion, I want ANet to respond to you people, and let you know that it’s not going to happen. I wish many GM-posts for you and your suggestions
.
Why would you want us to not get what we’re asking for? If it doesn’t affect your game play or give us items any better than yours, what’s the issue? Please, be detailed. Give me something other than the “slippery slope” argument and the “gear treadmill” arguments.
It does affect my game play. I don’t want taking away precious development time from the large monthly updates, the improvements to spvp, wvw, pve – so that they can cater to a misplaced crowd of people that just want to see GW2 turn into the game they “used to play”. If you want to take your ilk elsewhere, by all means do so.

I agree with this request.
I wasn’t aware that we had requests for more revealing armor?… We aren’t playing Victoria Secret Online you know. Even if we were, there are already enough armors to accommodate ‘that crowd’.
If you’re not using WASD + Mouse for maneuvering, you’re doing it wrong.
If you didn’t want a miniskirt on your armor, why are you wearing miniskirt armor? There are loads of different looks that do not include miniskirts.
“many of us who enjoy that type of gameplay would make GW2 their main MMO and fully support this game monetarily if there was coordinated instance dungeons with large group sizes”.
So… you want to take a lot of people, to do coordinated events, most likely both challenging and rewarding. HMMM… where could we find in game, something just like that? I’d ask my guild but most of them are in WvW right now, doing.. I don’t know.. dancing competitions or something, I’m sure.
On a more serious note, games like WoW and Rift have entire teams dedicated to creating raids over multiple months, and even then a lot of them turn into outdated flops (regardless of the tiered itemization). The teams we have for ANet are dedicated to doing so much more than creating whats essentially a dungeon for 25+ players. If you wanted that, then they might as well just take something like AC, increase the boss health by 500%, and allow you to take 25 people in (good luck coordinating that with our lack of official LFG system!)
“I don’t feel like the message is being received.” You didn’t get your personalized letter of receipt sent in decorative envelope directly to your personal mailing address? You know, the one with the gold (A) stamp made of filigree wax sealing? I’m sure if you start another post and make that you first comment, they’ll get right on that.
You’re asking for something that’s completely unrelated to the game. They never said “we promise large scale raids like all the other games have, or even with our special ANet sauce on them!”. Asking for that is no different than asking for first-person-shooting interfaces for ranged classes & slot machines. That’s just not part of this games big, or little picture.
“…would make GW2 their main MMO and fully support this game monetarily…” – You have to at least accept that at this point, with so many people playing the game, and it’s growing population, that ANet has captured their target audience, right? That does not include dungeon-crawling raiders, mind you. They are not out to take another games demographic, and cater it to them just to get their money. They’ll lose out on so much more, with the population we have, of players that don’t want to spend 7+ hours yelling at each other over vent/mumble to stand out of fire. The second ANet says “we’re going to have raiding!” is the same second that most of the game population says “this is where dev time is going now? Guess I’m out.” Not that it matters, because they aren’t here to constantly entice subscription fees with tiny little dribbles of patch notes that say “oh we finally increased the damage on that one rogue skill by a .05 coefficient”.
THIS. IS. NOT. THAT. GAME.
“Don’t allow your fears of other game design to sway you. Guild Wars 2 rewrote the book on every aspect of an MMO, we trust that raiding wouldn’t be much different.” – Yes, GW2 rewrote raiding too, rewrote it right out of the story, because it doesn’t belong in this game.
Sincerely,
-A Sincerely Sarcastic Kitten
Your suggestion about daily login rewards reminds me of those kittenty facebook games, no thank you. The long term and “be online for tiny rewards” don’t sound like a good idea either.
I wouldn’t mind a “random daily dungeon” reward if it means people will play dungeons they normally don’t.
I don’t like the idea of having even MORE means with which to get precursors. We can already get them from dragon chests and MF’s, which should be more than enough. If anything they need a slight increase in drop rate, but that’s not relevant to this discussion.
Anyone else notice that the jiggling of the female upper anatomy is not reflected properly based on the type of chest piece worn? If you’re wearing a plate-metal styled chest plate, it still /jiggles/. I noticed this first on my thief in medium armor, and asked my female human heavy armor wearers in the guild to check it out via /dance. They reflected the same results, regardless of what kind of metal plating is covering the breast area, it jiggles as if there’s nothing actually there.
Tomorrow I think.
Supply Crate is really the only one worthwhile. Mortars range is akin to Grenades, which is pitiful considering you’re stationary and can’t spam as well.. and the Potion gives you a random chance at two other professions elites; of which even those respective classes also opt out of using those skills (Tornado and Rampage).
I made a post a while back that might be relephant to your interests (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/engineer/Engineers-What-do-you-want-to-see-that-we-don-t-have/page/3#post696079)
ahem
Deployable Turrets: Still not fixed.
Honestly, the JP only took me a handful of tries before I had it completely mastered… I’ve been putting it on farm status all day yesterday so that I can get that damned unbreakable bell. I liked the Halloween one better, as it provided a very nice exotic reward. Could just be me though.
My point though, is that you won’t be killing yourself – the enemy will be helping you kill yourself by using an attack on you while under the effect of a skill that wants to kill you
We got some great changes with todays patch notes. Very good ones. Not all that we’re looking for of course (like kit stats), but we’re getting there.
Seriously though, seriously – Deployable Turrets is STILL not fixed.
Here are some interesting notes on this bug-trait;
1. The bug was considered “not confirmed” on the official Engineer bug list wiki page until about a month ago.
2. The bug is easy to fix, as they already have it WORKING PROPERLY in SPvP.
3. It is quite literally the most important trait to any Engineer planning on going turrets primarily.
I can be patient, and I will be patient. I would just LOVE to see SOME recognition from ANet though that they are aware of this problem, and that they are working on a fix for it.
Also, the only reason the trait was switched to “confirmed” on the wiki, is because I manually changed it myself. Us turret Engi’s could be D.I.W. forever for all we know, because the communication about these things is beyond lackluster.
Thanks for reading, raise a stink about it if you can! I’ve been reporting it as a ‘bug’ in-game every week for months.
If it has the same animation/behavior though, it’ll make it worthless against ranged chars. In fact, if a ranged person shoots you while you’re standing on a ledge, then you may have just auto-killed yourself…
Hello Guild Wars 2.
Since I logged in on the game i was verry surprised,
The graphics where good, no quests and stuf and a verry good comunity-based gameplay. But a little problem for me was; i couln’t be a healer.
Healing yourself, yes. Others, no.Before i start playing this game i played World of Warcraft. I liked the game but became sick of doing quest after quest after quest.
De good side of that coin was healing. EVery race could heal (like we can do too) but in a different rate. you got Healing Over Time healer, Instant healers, or Area Of Effect healing. I really liked that (not that i want go back) and it’s a shame everyone can heal himself so they don’t need supporting people like me to help them (other than killing the enemy)
Actually i hoped Arenanet had something to offer for every player, onfortunatly not for me. I am not complaining about leaving the game (when that was the case i would have left without saying that) but i just hope Arenanet will think about this.
Yours Faithfully,
There is no room in this game for people who want something designated just for themselves. If you want to be a ‘healer’ type, look at the party-healing-oriented guardians. That’s your healer, and it’s as close as they should ever get to one.
WHOA WHOA WHOA ProphetSword! This is General Discussions, specifically a ‘moan thread’. There is NO room for that “logic” stuff around here.
Get with the program and start whining about how other people choose to play the game, or go find some other place to be nice and non-argumentative.
/sarcasm
I’m not making fun of this profession, I’m not being sarcastic, I honestly enjoy the playstyle. Yes its the easiest thing in the world to do, but when you’re frustrated and need a break from whatever you’re doing, easy helps.
Hitting someone for 5-7k with one button, feels kitten amazing, period. Ty AnetUhm wrong forum, I think the forum you are looking for is called “warrior”
No no no. That’s if he was like “hitting someone for 15k with one button feels kitten amazing, period.” They just won’t say that in public, in fear of someone noticing and nerfing though.
Can you explain why you would think that it is not?
No movement speed percentage increases stack. You’re crying over nothing.
The +10% speed ele’s get for daggers, and the +25% they can get for staying air attuned long enough /do/ in fact stack. They don’t exceed the 33% swiftness cap, but they do hit it and stay there.
Why is this in tech support?…
Check both your GPU’s power configuration and your systems power configuration, make sure both are set to the equivalent of “high performance” instead of something like “power saver” or “balanced”.
Also, make sure your BIOS and driver are up to date.
I’ve got an I7-2600K, coupled with a GeForce GTX 550ti. In heavy WvW fights I maintain about 55-ish FPS, 60+ FPS in all other situations (to note; I have reflections turned off, and shadow at high – because those just EAT FPS up).
I would definitely recommend using a Core i5+.
