Druids are over-performing a little bit. Everyone and their mom has one in wvw for roaming.
By that logic thieves need to be nerfed onto the stone age since they’ve been the go to roaming class for years.
There’s a problem when there are more druids than thieves when roaming. Give thief a pet, and we’ll call it even. Or just make pet stats scale with player.
I dont see meny druids on my server, and if you want a pet, go pirate rune or ogre rune.
Ele weapon CD are balanced around he concept of them able to to have 4 weapon sets that dont share CD. Same as ranger’s, weapon damage modifiers, are balancded around the concept of the pet dealing chunk of the damage.
It was saied here like a million times that you cant compare skills, even somewhat similiar skills, between 2 differnt professions.
Hmmm, wait a second, with 2 weapons and Celestial forms, Druid has 3 skill bars, 15 skills compare to Ele’s 20, you mean that explains CD difference for 25s (15s for AG to 40s RTL). This is no damage comparison, it is a mobility skill which function similar for both class. Ele got the 40s RTL nerf because its mobility was comparable to Thief and developers didn’t wanted any class with mobility comparable to Thief.
Now suddenly Ranger has comparable mobility, why?
This Ele has 20 skills, so it must suck, is getting old you know.
Now you just poping out random points without actually understanding the argument. Getting druid bar into the equation, also puts the tempst mechanic as well. Unless you have very deep understanding of every profession and their their role in a functioning Meta, you can directly compare two professions one agianst the other, espeically not spsific weapon skill. Just one example- why ranger’s GS hit bash got 300 range and warrior shield bash got 450 range, with better stun duration, no position requirement, better damage and lower cd? WHY? WHY? BECAUSE !!!
Ranger dont have thive’s like mobility , not even close, we’r decent vertical runners sure, but we cant abuse hights and platfrom like thives can or eles with lightning flash.
Looking at ele palce in the meta, they’r considered top tier in all game modes and been like that for the last 2 years. Not sure where this rant is coming from?
Mate I just asked for 2 mobility skills doing the same thing (one with more functionality) why the CDs are different and you start speaking Elementalist 20 skills, am I the one poping out random things?

I stand corrected. For the last two days I have tried shout staff druid again, and it is little op. I could not die 1v1 (if I do not do foolish mistakes) and I could outrun most professions with little wits. Damage is not big but consistent, and kiting potential is hard. Some professions were just “free food” for my pet.
I play ranger as my main, and I do not suck at it. But I am not a very skilled player either. If I can do this with it, others can be annoying as hell. But it is still counterable with some professions and especially utility skills. And it is so much boring. At least for me it was a torment to play.
Wait, are you talking about WvW or PvP?

Idk, last season the most dominated build for bunker/healer druid was with WS and 2 signets(SoS+SoR). We have this patch only for a week and season hasnt even began, so i think its to early to call for “balance”. Druid surivevbility benn shaved abit with nerfs to gaurd and protective ward and bestly warden(which was hardl used).
And if you hate this build, do what I do and dont run it.
Although ancestral grace is a tad bit powerful, the main difference is that elementalist have total of 20 options(overloads not included) while druids have 5. So you can use ride the lightning, swap attunements and use fire 3 and if you are too bored earth 3 (d/d). So the cd’s can never be same.
However druid’s horrible shout build should be balanced immediately.

The real problem with Anet’s politics is that the dirty rangers and the stealing thieves are always rewarded, while the hard-working engineers get the short hand of the stick. This has to stop.
There is no such thing as “professions politics”, both rangers and thives got nerfed with a similar manner to that of the engi. Shaving survivability was across the board theme of this patch. Only profession that hasnt been touched on that regard is warrior as a.net probably need more time to evaluate the changes that were made to warrior last patch.
Both wapons have both defensive and offensive capabilities. GS is better burst(spike) damage, 1h sword better continues damage. Worth mentioning that in order to max dmage of the 2 weapons, GS will much more benfit from pike skills and traits like MOC and remorsless. 1H sword will benefit more from static damage modiers, or even simple might stacking.
1) Dont think there is a condition meta in WvW, especially after last patch which recused some of the classes sustain vs power. Most of warriors I encounter, dont even bother with CI anymore, they go for RR, which is probably the best defence trait in the game for a power meta(how this trait doesnt have ICD ?).
2)The boon abuse is real, OP foods,sigils and runes, most of them are exclusive HOT only content(pay 2 win? cough cough*). The all boon thing realy got out of hand, doesnt meet the system original desighn and sould be completely re-worked(like they did 2 condis a year ago). All boon should be stackble like stability and might, the effecct of a single boon type should be reduced but get higher stackble cap. All boon should be given for on an intervlas basis every 1-3 sec.
Concept? – You suppose to be greatly rewarded by boons for a short piriod of time, which should also be the mark for counter boon stealer to corrupt/steal your boon.
Boon duration buffs will give the benefit of stacking the effectivness of the boon mostly to some extent the duration.

If there is a problem with druid in WW is the same as most other professions. Broken OP runes, sigils and foods, boon duration abuse and passive defences. But sure, lets buff QZ(boons) and nerf BW, which make us take ZS(boons) 100% of the time.

15 sec vigor duration on pet swap. Ignore the the ingame tooltip that says 12sec.
I dont think GoT is stronger than Goe which is already instant. For me, GoT is only good for PvP on point battles.
it’s totally Protective Ward. I just tried Invigorating Bond instead, and it didn’t randomly kick me out of Avatar. PLease fix Protective Ward

His build got buffed yesterday, so …..
Live Vicariously triggers whenever you heal your pet or anyone else (except from regen), with our without your staff. To say it doesn’t do anything outside the use of the staff is completely wrong. It adds sustain and astral force.
and what will you trigger it with? Once every 16 sec with whao? the only synergy it has is troll unguent and that heal is strictly worse that whao. Fact is to make use of this trait and its 1 sec cd you need rapid healing (not regeneration not signet of the wild and not natural healing as those do not work), which means auto attacking with staff through allies (pet). same with natural mender, you need consistent healing ticks (again none of the thing above work) which again means staff.
I want our minors to work without staff idc what they change them to just change them to something universally useful. Need i remind you that no other elite spec is tied to its weapon? the closest it comes is dh with pure of sight and that trait still works without a bow and it is 1 trait (so they have 50% of a trait if they forgo their elite weapon), our 2 minor traits give less than 15% effectiveness without a staff.
Time to explore some options like “verdant etching”, “Cultivated Synergy”, “invigoratong bond” , sigil of renewal sigil of water, some runes , blast finish on water fields. Not sure about nature spirit, water spirit, pets heals(moans, fren). Also the traits work while in CA from, so while in CA, all druids are getting the full benefit out of thouse two traits.

Primal Echoes is onle of the only flavored interesting traits we have in druid.
Primal Echoes is not “unavoidable” , it can be blocked/evaded/ counter by stability. There are tons of instant cast CC in the game, Primal Echoes is not different on this regard. like 90+% will always prefer to take druidic clarity(even if they use staff). I understand your issue with the druid minor trairs, but your solutuions are very bad and boring. More passive defences more boon spamming(like we dont have enough of thouse).
Boon duration builds with rune durability, trapper druid is kinda an option.
a mix of signets, glyphs with shouts/survival. You can use lyssa in some builds etc..
Between the optios above of lots of differnt builds and play styles, based on weapons, traits gear, pet options etc…

I realize the advantages of instant casts, though I’d rather see the rest of the Glyphs improved in some way as being instant for mediocre to moderate effects only goes so far.
If the effects were to remain as is, Alignment could be a ground-target cast so there’s at least 1 Glyph that isn’t a PBAoE. If you want to consider another Glyph to be instant, Unity is a better candidate.
It’s mediocre and requires a certain kind of setup to pay off. Being instant would help out a smidge when being pinned and beaten on, though not by much. Would at least be somewhat of a deterrence.

No 3 sec delay for sure, like 0.5 sec between any action and rapdifire, not sure if was there before or not(not a LB user).

@Wondrouswall.7169 Hi, the difference between any cast time and instant is a big deal. Instant you can prefrom with other actions and while under CC. It will help alo to make the most out of glyphs. I agree with you it wont be OP as like you saied the effects are moderate , blockable/evadble etc..
I think A.net realy gave up on underwater combat, regarding GoR 1 sec cast time, you are absolutly right .
After cooling down from yesterday rant and steaming, I took the time to check some of our new improvments and replacmnets for guard.
Vanilla pets do feel better and i’m sure that some builds will find good use for spiders and moas.
-Playing around with our glyphs (after they fixed CD bugs issues) I have been woundering why all of the glyphs are not instant cast? the glyph mechanic(small radius, evadble/bolckble, moderate effect) feels like it should have been instant cast.
They can even make it part of the VE trait if they think that giving it native its to good. This change will make even the heal glyph and elite competetive with other options for spesific builds. Glyph of Alignment / Glyph of Empowerment, would be actually nice option as a utility giving moderate offensive/defensive capabilities. I think its a good way condensate for the VE trait which ocured only as part of META pvp perception.
What do you think?
Atleast you got the CD reduction, it’s beneficial even by your own standarts.
I use it, works fine. Shame the nefed both aichent seeds and moment of clarity.
Hi, Druid player here. Not sure what build you are playing, but the meta berserker build with axe-shield+GS is my greatest fear in WvW. I feel that this match is highly favored for the berserker. It may better for the druid if he’s using LB( i don’t use it).
extra tip, unless its a condi druid(very rare and you can tell from food) change your GM defence trait to either Last stand or RR and its almost a sure win.

Unlike you I have done my research after this post, I have located the OP in game, we duled togather, tried out stuff. Have you doe any of it?
1)I can tell you for sure, The OP can handle his druid much better than most roamers.
2)His build while very strong got the exact problem I have suspected it has which was posted in the discussion. It will stugle to “close the deal” vs good sustain builds/classes like druids, berserkers,scrrapers, condi mesmers etc… (best canidates for an endless fights).
3)His build is vulnerable to chain CC and brust damage, best canidates to overwhelm this build – Shatter mesmers/invocation revs/axe-sheild berserkers/very very good deardevils. I was able to overwhelm the OP with my roaming build which is very different to the OP roaming build which is also a point regarding your duild diversity argument"
4) The outnumbers fights you saw in the video were picked from long time of recording and were exacuted by bad-average players. This build has no tools to fight more than 2v1 vs players that know what they’r doing, and even less tools to deny revive in downstate(no CC, low cleave dmg etc..) The OP even told me that his server is a low tier ranking server and that he’s thinking on changing sever to higher tier ranking one.
5) This spesific type of builds greatly rely on pets damage which was nerfed hard affter bristlback and somkescale damgme nerf on last patch.
6)Regarding build diversity , ATM this is an overall GW2 issue, not a ranger/druid spesific issue, with druid the situation is much beeter compred to other classes. I can link you like 5 good roamers videos each with a differnt build and game style. Roaming breserkers are identical down to the last utility.
7)This forum has various topics which are solely dedicated to the issue of druid changes/improvemnts etc.. Changing the trade off of the druid, shaving some of its surivebility for more attack options, have been disscused rapidly. I think that the tradeoff of risk-reward should be inforced on all classes, like point (6), ATM its GW2 issue, not a ranger/druid spesific.

Thanx for feedback, I maybe doing somthing wrong but to be honest I cant imagine ways you can get actually good with this build, and that was one of my issues with it when I played somthing similar, I asked myself how can I put more pressure or brust I had no answers, the build offers no real room for “geeting good”. Perheps you know somthing I don’t, If u’r playing EU I would be more happy to duel and try stuff out.

U’r right, but i dont c A.net changing the pet mechanic. U’r also right, about other meta proffasion’s sustain wich is as good as druid sustain and for some situation even better. Players of other classes seens to forget that healing is only one form of sustain and not among the strongest in the game..

This build is not more obnoxious than any other meta build, condi mesmers, gyro scrappers, shield revs, shield/x ,berserkers etc…
What we see in this video like in most roaming videos is the OP power of editing, In reality this build will stuggle to kill other sustain builds and big chunk of ifghts will end up in a darw after long boring sessions of staff 1 and brits F2(LB over GS will help in some cases). However, what our options? I used to run somthing like that and got board, changed NM/WS to MM, ditched SoS, diched druidic clarity and clectrail shadow for echos and VE, play more offensive stats and sigils compared to OP, changed brits to tiger. All sacrifices to my survivability and utility havnt realy resulted in a significant DPS boost and this the big issue with druid.
No risk reward options, no high ceiling skill options.
Look at thouse last balance moves from A.net – nerf to MOC – really???? nerf to the unpopular MM traitline that reqiuers us to remove a defensive/utiliy traitline?
Nerf to healing seend which is a nerf to VE and glyphs? How wouldnt I take celctrail avtar+ druidic clarity, i’m being pushed to do so.
Shave the survivability boost the offensive traitlines, raise the skill curve with good timing abilites like unblockble and such. Do the same with all other proffasions.

Not suer what this build is for(Opven world PVE/fractals?), but this setup is much more MinMax(BTW, if you change LB to S/H&A the build probably will preform Better) :
My Thumb rules:
1)Never ditch out precision completely with a Remorseless build, been there, it doesnt work(especially using a LB, as each arrow from your RP will cosume a remorseless buff).
2) Never take more defensive stats than you actually need, most cases ~2600 armor is more that enough, ~19 khealth , thouse benchmarks are my personal favorit for dfensive stats.
Smoe Tips:
Dont take water spirit never ever, especially with boon build, you want WHAO.
If it’s PVE, cave spider is better(cus you like spiders and all..), tiger is a must for this build, weyvern is just bad.

i on my end wondered what do you do vs condition builds? Are the shout (+ that delayed glyph) cleanses really aenough for all that condis at the moment?
Trooper rune and verdant etching. To be honest, this build sacrifice most of the druid awesome defence capabilities for some CC capabilities and burst combos, my defences relay on alot of movment and CC like taunt F2. Good condi mesmers will own me, necros are easy, warriors can be an issue. Its not meta at all, but its very fun when the you are able to land a big damage combo.

Electric Wyvern F2 is clunky as hell. Not sure of its a bug or just bad desighn.
The charge often miss the target as well, even if it goes directly threw it and the target doesnt move(practice golem).

Was kinda long fight, I was on a GS build.
What do you think about this? Focuses on boon uptime with durability runes, food, concentration sigils, etc, wanted to see which one you guys think would be more useful as a solo roamer and if Marauder is even worth it.

If you want to keep the staff go with the BM version, you cant keep the staff in the WS version has you have no source of regen and out of combat swifntes. swiftness is important as you want to keep celestial shadow. regen is important for the healing tics,AF regen and the 5% reduction from oakheart slave. So basically a traited horn is a must for the WS variant.
i wanna know how u build like tsuki roaming to get all those boons and the duration im new to ranger/druid i would like to know that boom shout build also if anyone can post i havent seen it

warriors are at their pick ATM, and they’r much better killing machines than rangers.

All feedback is welcome, but when you ask for feedback you want it from variuos types of players and when the feedback is from GW1 vetrans only, its getting generic and predictable. I would like to know what GW2 only players also think.

Well then you have your answer. You don’t think it is worth it to do what you need to do to get these rewards. So the actual rewards are not worth it to you.
Akin that to masteries. If you don’t think ley line gliding is worth having then you are not going to sink the time into getting the mastery. Same principle.
And “reasonable” in this instance is a very subjective term.
Only problem in your logic is that GW1 and GW2 are not the same game. Like I saied i want to play GW2 to get access for GW2 content and goodies. I dont even understand why players here so strongly push me to play GW1, you even admit its just a time sink process any one could do, so why not giving me and aquivilent option in GW2, why do you care in which game the effort and the time sink will take place? Make it a time effort, make it hard, make it costly, but kitten make GW2 content avilable for GW2 players.

No it’s not, because it never was early access bonus. It was a reward for loyalty and doing a lot of stuff in GW1.
You can’t ask for something to get made widely available and then devalue the rewards by calling them early access.
tl;dr go and earn the items yourself instead of thinking that everything can be instantly obtained with a credit card.

I’d actually be happier if they updated the Hall of Monuments ‘vendor’ with some new items.
Ya great, they sure can develop the Hall of Monuments mechanic in GW2, make us work for it, hard. Conncet it to the lore, all options are open. But remove the GW1 lock which is concrete inaccessible wall.

Hall of Monuments in GW2 is inaccessible for most current GW2 community and it’s a shame as lots of GW2 assets are locked behind a wall which is no longer relevant.
Giving veterans GW1 players an extra bonus and motivation was a great idea 4 years ago but now it feels an obsolete system, the chance that non GW1 players will pick up the game and invest tons of hours for the skins is very low, probably close to 0. I think that giving the veterans GW1 players free and 4 years early access on the skins is enough of a bonus.
Plz consider giving access to Hall of Monuments in GW2 by other means that doesn’t include GW1, it can be the gem store, game content, a collection achievement, all options are fine.
