When you join a pug run be sure to keep quiet, never argue with them. Even more so if they are from the same guild. Sometimes guild members keep randoms to invite their friends at the last fractal.

Maintain a positive attitude and do not sound rude with guild runs. The best advice you can give right here.

Why is it only a dungeon problem? WvW stacking isn’t an issue?

The game was designed in a way that stacking -is-the-most-efficient-way-to-play-the-game.

I’ve started making new goals, when I wanted the fractal dagger I would start saving up for incinerator, I was able to get my legendary before my first dagger drop. Same goes with my legendary greatswords, longbow, shortbow, sword, staff and soon to be pistol. Yay, RNG!

I have never received a fractal sword, greatsword, pistol, rifle, staff, scepter, trident, mace, warhorn, and spear. I do lvl 20, 30, 38/40, and 50 about 5 to 6 times a week.

More in this game, than literally any other game I can think of. I’ve gotten tired of it. Thanks for understanding my frustration, when it takes ludicrous amounts of time to switch chars because loading screen here loading screen there loading screen for waypointing in the same city…. enough.

With the new sinister armor (condi, power, prec) it might become somewhat viable in PvE, I would love to use my mainhand axe in other than in PvP. Here’s to hope!

Back to topic:

Open world PvP would be a nice idea if it would happen on a seperated server. Megaserver kinda destroyed this opportunity (as statet already).

He’s not in the wrong here, you are. You were the first person to be snobbish and rude by saying he needs to “learn to think” thank you:). (Remember?)

Anyways to the point, I think open word PvP sounds fun unless it leads to zergs (which it most certainly will). It’s never going to happen since Anet like catering to people with little to no skill that do not like a challenge.

I loved all the music in this episode, Crystal Oasis in particular gave me really good feels.

I loved it too, I haven’t played through any of this living story episodes except this one(Anet can prove it). This one seems to be well done, I love the new music, the map and the overall story line. I hope we can keep it at this quality.

I was happy there was very little jory/kas interaction (I hate them with a passion) the best part was searching the library and reading all the books. Very well done and will be interesting seeing where this season goes.

Things I want: Split up raids unless you’re gonna reduce particle effects. Stop adding timers, challenge skill, not time! Make these raids impossible!

Unique titles, armor, weapons, achievements is a must.

I love this game too, doesn’t mean there aren’t fair complaints being discussed on the forums. If you want a mostly positive attitude, find people in game.

Why is there so much empty room for currencies, and only Gold and no-one-gives-a-kitten? Why are there no Laurels, or Karma, or something actually used?

The account wallet fixed this issue with the + symbol right next to the gold. IMO I think it’s an improvement since we have so many currencies.

No more issues here, I disconnected twice came back and finally finished Mad King’s Clock Tower.

I just tried a lvl 50 run, assuming I’d get “something” more valuable than 4.95silver. I guess I was wrong. None of my teammates got a fractal weapon and only 1 got a weapon chest.

The thing is with longbow you have to be as far as you can away from the target to get the max amount of dps. This means doing that you sacrifice receiving and giving boons including might stacks. It is not a good idea to go 100% longbow, although I see it all the time.

There is a difference between a brainless longbow/shortbow ranger and one that reads skills. Unfortunately, most do not read skills so therefore it’s spam city.

You can avoid 100% of ghosts attacks (more than 2 ghosts, we have a problem). Just run, do the commands and dodge their abilities, you run faster than them.

This is one of the best looking outfits ever put into the gem store. But seriously, who overlooked the fact that you cannot wear the top hat with this outfit? I know you can’t wear head pieces with outfits even though you can hide the outfit head. This is just disappointing, I wanted to be able to buy a suit for my Charr and wear the top hat along with it, while riding a flying broom.

On one hand, this sounds awesome. I’m not much of a leveler person but I love alts. On the other this seems opposite of their intentions, they’d rather people play PvE content (NPE) to level rather than pay gems. If it were to ever happen, it needs restrictions on new accounts. I see it happening though.

They need to create some sort of welfare program, I’m so poor and I don’t know why…

You’re right, tenklo and AP. These outfits were extremely popular in Guild Wars, and they were much requested as additions for Guild Wars 2. I understand what you’ve said, Lady Grimm, but I think as a matter of fulfilling the request — and for a sort of “cultural integrity” — it’s good that it was recreated as it was.

The writing is just plain bad. It can involve me as much as I want, but if it’s written like a young adult novel, I’m still not going to be interested.

Therefore what we’re experiencing is past events in a current world context. The concept is hard to understand, I know…

That response has nothing to do with the problem we’re discussing. You’re talking plot line, we’re talking writing. There’s a difference.

The writing is uneven in both games. There are some pretty good and pretty bad examples of writing in Guild Wars 2. There are also some pretty bad examples of writing in Guild Wars 1.

But most of us were much younger and less discerning when we played Guild Wars 1 for the first time.

I never mentioned Guild Wars 1. I was only talking about Guild Wars 2, in which the writing is overwhelmingly shallow and juvenile. I’m not sure what you bringing GW1 into the equation has to do with my post, unless you’re trying to put words into other people’s mouths yet again.

I agree with what you’re saying about the writing in GW2, I find it overwhelmingly cheesy where I actually see the dialogue and say “Oh come on…” For example boss fractal with the molten firestrom/bruiser and the exchange goes:
Molten Firestorm: Squeeee! We’ve got company! Hey, bruiser. You see what I see?
Molten Berserker: (ROAR)
Molten Firestorm: I’ll take that as a yippee. Let’s see how colorful a smear we can make.

Or the Mai Trin boss fractal:

Mai Trin: This has all gone to crud. Scarlet’s gonna have my noggin for screwing up.
Champion First Mate Horrik: What now, Captain? It’ll take cannonballs to get out of here alive.

Who wrote this stuff, I read both of the books and they were never this cheesy. In fact, compared to this cheese I dare say the books were actually GOOD writing.
