The end game for me is pressing f12 and logging out with a sickening feeling in my stomach that GW2 turned out to be something I unload every morning into my toliet. Then I getting happy clicking on Glyph and opening up ArcheAge where I feel more immersed in a Korean “Cash-Grab” MMO than I ever did in GW2’s hollowed out “story” and quest system.

It’s not OP, you can down a LB ranger within 5 seconds after they do their ONE burst skill. Use blocks or dodges, it’s not hard. It’s like complaining about full zerk thieves using back stab, very easily countered.

I was actually in a hotjoin match. 5 rangers vs 5 necros. Not even kidding, that’s how the teams ended up.

Rangers got beaten pretty bad, but it was an interesting match. Sadly most of those rangers were longbow snipers and had no condition cleansing.

Sad that people don’t focus on the same targets.

Asof tomorrow, my input to GW2 will be minimal Archeage is being released and those devs listen to the player base, Perhaps ANET should take a look at their forum and see how customer relations work.

Such a shame seeing as this was the best MMO i’ve played.

This is just plain sloppy. Not only were none of these story changes communicated at all ahead of time, but now the story just doesn’t make any sense. If they want to overhaul the Pact story arcs, that’s one thing, but you can’t just shuffle story chapters around and expect it to make sense.

People might have had their gripes here and there about the story and writing the way it was, but this is no improvement over its weaknesses, and it ruins much of what the story did well.

I was okay with a lack of development on the personal story after launch because resources were better spent developing new content, and this kind of clumsy reworking is far worse than neglect.

You summarize my problems with the new “improvements” perfectly.

I started a ranger last night, was happy I started with a bow, hearts definitely grant a lot more XP but I hate the fact that the PS is locked every 10 and grants very little XP and rewards.

I would love a game I could enjoy playing for 15k+ hours like GW1.

You can ask for a refund up to six months after purchasing.

The black lion keys haven’t disappeared totally as a reward. I just finished the lvl 10 story, I received 1 black lion key, 50 luck and a champ chest.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m really excited for this trading post update. I mean look at all the new functions such as filtering armor weights! This is a really good patch and I can tell Anet worked on it. I don’t know about you all, but I didn’t see anything that bothered me at all about this new UI. It’s really well done, I guess we will see once the feature pack is released.

In my opinion, it’s ridiculous to get upset about this. The ability to trade gold for gems and buy gems with cash has been in the game since it started.

Also, the fact that people can do this is one of the reasons most people get to play the game for free. As shocking as it is, servers, employees, and bandwidth all cost money and your initial purchase just won’t cover it.

How did GW1 survive 3 years w/o a gem store then. And look at my post history, I’ve known since day -3 that you could buy gold with gems m8.

Tbh though, not having to visit a rep to pick up your stuff is awesome for starters – secondly, if that optimization rolls out smoothly it’ll be so much faster if the Trading Post utilizes in-game files.

Most of the game’s concepts were really easy. The only one that was a little difficult to understand at first was the combo/finisher stuff.

While you’re entitled to this opinion, I have to disagree. Challenge in most large online games is going to be aimed somewhere in the middle of the player skill continuum. Easier games, it’s at the low average, harder, it’s at the high average. Players being able to challenge themselves by tacking content not meant for solos is part of the way that they cope with the fact that they find the game to be too easy. The same applies to people who solo dungeons in GW2.

You couldn’t really solo the UW especially after the Dhuum update, what I mean is you could not complete it yourself. UW was challenging both in solo and group play, even speed clears were difficult.

I don’t know what game you were playing, most SCs I’ve done have been extremely easy.

Even with the Dhuum update though, soloing UW mostly consisted of just killing a small run solo in order to farm ectos, it had nothing to do with actually completing the UW.

Hey now guys, we have gem store updates every 2 weeks. That’s 2 weeks of content, I don’t know about you but I’d rather pay real money for my cool loot than actually work for it in game. It’s so cool that this game is becoming the IMVU of MMOs! <3 GW2!

Their plans are pretty simple, every 2 weeks they release items to the gem store and come out with 15 minute quest and call it quality content.

A new release in the gem store, a box of 3 celebration mini pets for 800 gems. THNX Anet!

Pretty sure the end game is every 2 weeks you can spend all your gold or $10 to get the newest cash grab crap that should be obtainable with in game accomplishments. Otherwise it’s pretty much tab press 1 and wait 10 seconds for mobs to die. Fun, fun fun!
