Try asking around in LA or HotM. We have several PvX guilds which have their own Custom Arena and players that enjoy the occasional spvp.

I highly doubt guests are causing the overflows. TC has a gigantic pve population. Even on FA which has a lower pve population compared to TC, we sometimes get overflow for Temples/SB/Maw/Dragons. Don’t be lazy and get there early and do the pre-events. Most people who complain about overflows are the ones who only zone in for the boss…….

Umm, haven’t we already seen the update notes for this?

GW1 had insider trading so there’s no reason to think GW2 wouldn’t. Anet employees, alpha testers, the press and all their friends/family will get access to information prior to their release.

And yes, for the love of god, start stacking in gossamer and orbs. I could use the free cash.

I primarily PvE but I still don’t see the actions over the last year as reasonable attempts to make ascended items fairly available to WvW players. I don’t care what you’d like to do, I only care about what you actually do.

Speaking as someone who has only gotten Ascended gear via WvW vendors, I’d say that’s nonsense. Speaking as a developer, we are continuing to make this better, which is not to say perfect. There will be more ways to acquire the ascended mats as part of the season and we will look into adding yet additional ways after that.

Oh, so you’ve gotten an ascended back piece from WvW? I’d like to know how…..

Is it really that hard? I mean, I log on and do my daily however I want and I get ascended gear out of it. I don’t call that a grind. It’s time gated yeah, but its not like it’s such a major stat buff that I can’t get groups or I’ll die without it….

By informing us of the change in usefulness of these items as early as you did, many of us ran out to get these items at a low price with the plan to sell when the demand rose for an inflated price. But there were enough of us that it created a hidden stockpile that kept the market stable though this change, and prevented the inflation we were expecting.. You always stop the portal invasions, whether you succeed or fail the event.

Every single server is affected by this so nothing out of the ordinary is gonna happen.

She was at the pavillion, with only one person to stop her from killing the queen. Countess Anise….watchknights were down, Logan was occupied, she was shrugging of Rox like she was nothing. That means she would shrug of the Seraph like nothing, no shining blade to be seen, and lead us on a goose chase that got us pretty far away from the Queen and she didn’t take that opportunity to strike?

And we’re here to tell you that your “what ifs” are impossible/wrong. Spreading false information is a huge no no, the record has to be set straight.

Except that it doesn’t look like any of the other ones? Bloodstones are red with black/grey bits. This one is white and gold.

First things first:
1)Livia is not a Sylvari. Scarlet (the suspicious figure is almost certainly her) is a sylvari.
2)Livia doesn’t have the Scepter of Orr anymore (according to Sea of Sorrows)
3)Livia loves Kryta, why would she want to see it burn?

Now onto more specific things….

“What if” something went down and she found out the queen was “corrupt” and did not want to serve her any longer and now wants her de-throned/killed. What if the Queen knew Livia knew her plans and removed her from the Shining Blade causing Livia to rebel against her.

Ok, why would she have “hard lessons” to teach to the people of Divinity’s Reach then? Rebel against the queen by harming all of Kryta (which she would sacrifice her own life for) isn’t something Livia would do.

Maybe Scarlet(Livia) isn’t even an enemy after all. The queen may be corrupt and we need to help take her down. She does have that giant chunk of a bloodstone in her throne room which kinda weirds me out. Gives me a heavy white mantle feeling.

Nothing says that the rock is a bloodstone.

Although it is widely assumed that the Mursaat are in the Isles of Janthir up north, and the what’s left of the white mantle is in the Maguuma Jungle to the west. I would almost bet they would go back to ring of fire after getting the scepter and try to control the Titans again. Thus sending us there for the next big zone release next year.

The mursaat never controlled the titans. They used the souls of the chosen to keep the door of komalie closed, to keep the titans trapped. Also, the Realm of Torment (where the titans come from) is now the Redeemed Realm (Kormir’s realm). They may not even exist anymore.

In 250 years, I could see Livia being able to master a new profession, and one of the professions that Anet wants to use pretty badly is the Chronomancer, maybe in 250 years, Livia has mastered the art, thus letting her bring stuff from the future and then manipulates it with the scepter of orr. This would also explain how she lived for such a LONG time. It could also just be her necromancy darks arts at work too.

Where does anet say they want the Chronomancer badly? Also, Livia isn’t the only person to achieve longevity. Does that mean they are all time travelling chronomancers?

Then again i could be all wrong, and Livia is dead/not scarlet, the scepter is missing, the Queen is good, and scarlet is an actual bad person.

It’s based on the total number of accounts attached to the server in combination to the number of accounts currently online. This is why full servers occasionally drop down to very high.

If your server is deserted but remains very high, you must have a lot of inactive accounts. Honestly, chances are you aren’t looking very hard… I’ve guested to low tier servers and there are plenty of people around during prime time. If you play during off-peak then of course there won’t be many people on….. move to a high tier server if you want 24/7 activity.

Mesmers do not own confusion. Have you ever heard of engineers? These runes are not an attack on mesmers. Yes, these runes give whoever uses them a good source of confusion ( including mesmers…). I think this is a good thing because they open up a lot of new and interesting condition builds.

Thank you! I don’t understand how or why some people think confusion (or any condition, for that matter) belongs to just one class. It’s like complaining about the fear from Runes of the Nightmare because “fear is a necro thing.”

This rune does not hurt mesmers in any way. We have just as much access to it as any other class. In fact, because we have lots of interrupts, a trait that increases confusion duration by 33%, and skills that inflict confusion, we gain more by using these runes than any other class.

Selan has already been very vocal about his concerns about this rune on the mesmer forum (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/mesmer/New-Rune-for-condi-mesmers/first). While there’s nothing wrong with bringing this topic to a larger audience for discussion, I would challenge him and anyone else who thinks these runes are overpowered to actually try them out on the classes you think they would be overpowered on. Provide the community with a video of the runes in action, or at least with a numerical summary of what they did and why they’re unbalanced.

I’ve been using these runes since the patch, and while they’re a nice dps increase for me, I’ve yet to see them do anything overpowered. Maybe I’m using them wrong, but it seems to me that any skilled opponent I’ve faced so far simply cleanses the confusion or stops spamming skills for a while.

first of all im a girl, secondly warriors had fear since beginning of the game. i never said that confusion is an only mesmer thing, but as it is right now it does what a confusion mesmer does, but way better. they nerfed bb trait on mesmers to make it harder to stack confusion and along comes a rune. plus none of our confusions evr lasted for 10 seconds. all of them have 3-5 seconds. and if u wantproof, go to wvw forums and check the sreenshots of warriors and thieves with that rune.

a mesmer has to give up a lot if he wanted to be able to viably stack confusion. we have no dps in return,especially as glam mesmers. thats why im concerned as a confusion mesmer has been replaced by a rune!
btw no need to point me out.gotta see that as a confision mesmer since start and way befor glam mesmers, this rune makes me very upset!

So buff the mesmer, don’t nerf the rune. On another note, engineer Asura have always been able to stack confusion better than mesmers when they use p/s and pain inverter. That’s including after the PI nerf.

If you stick around after the fight, there is dialogue between Logan, Rox and Braham where they talk about this very thing. Logan noticed that the watchknight said the very same words Rytlock did. Quite suspicious what Anise did….

Outta curiosity, which guilds from gw1 is HzH made up of? Is it from the HzH alliance back in the glory days of AB and FFF (with guilds like OMEN, CAT, VEIN, DoA etc) or the one during the speed clear days?

The quickest and most probable way to bring balance to the upper tiers of NA is to make TC or JQ weaker. Moving some of JQ’s Asian guild to TC for example, would allow TC to compete better in T1, while at the same time creating a more even playing field in T2 between FA/DB/JQ. Or alternatively send some of TC’s NA guilds over to JQ to allow JQ to compete more evenly in T1.

This won’t solve anything. If the asian guilds move to TC, there’s still the problem that they lack the oceanic/euro coverage to compete with BG and SoR. Similarly, if JQ lost its asian guilds, it wouldn’t stand a chance against FA and DB.

Tier 1 is a lagfest where the server bogs down and many times the only thing you can hit that will work is your 1 attack. Servers can have 70 man zergs on multiple maps. Trust me, it really isn’t very fun.

I see more people leaving this game or transferring down to less laggy wvw.

Since matchups are pretty random what is the point in staying with a stacked Tier 1 server? More skilled fights? Psh, it’s more like who can blob the most players and pvdoor the fastest before the enemy blob of 70 players shows up.

A quarter of the people on T1 servers transferred up anyway and didn’t work their way up so there shouldn’t be much server loyalty from the transfers.

Transferring down seems like the best option. Less lag and less mega blob1 spamming zergs sounds great.

The lag really isn’t as bad as some people make it out to be. It usually only happens in 3-way zerg fights, which don’t happen all the time.

All of gw1’s hammers and axes need to come back, in their original size. The current axes/hammers are terrible. Tiny, pathetic, and useless.

I think EU uses the true RNG (just look at some of the crazy matchups) … But I do tend to think NA is massaged a bit because of all the complaining. Otherwise we would see an eighth rank server up against a 2 or 3 server on a consistent basis like you do in EU. And you did see that initially in NA matches, but it seems to have stopped. NA RNG is far less volatile.

There is no special treatment, it’s just that the ratings are much closer in the EU bracket perhapse because all the guilds didn’t decide to stack the same servers or perhapse they have 3 more servers.

Also i think Eu uses better clients then the NA ones

well u are on jq…sooo erm i see u guys out with 50to 60 man zergs on each map. if u dont want queues then might wanna switch servers. increasing the map cap would cause servers like u to steamroll every map in less than 10 minutes, where is the fun in that?

30-40 man groups would be more accurate. I’ve spent a lot of time fighting JQ, and they rarely roll with more than that outside of SEA time.

However, I do agree that increasing map caps would be a bad idea just because the maps are way too small and easy to move from point A to point B.

You faced JQ without their fairweathers. They have double those numbers out there. They magically have an eu presence now as well.

Look at the finals scores again. Give TC a few more matchups with JQ and I guarantee they will end up winning. TC did it to Kaineng and DB, they’ll do it to JQ as well.

Some of you guys need to remember what the fractals are in the first place. They are echoes/representations of the past. Therefore, nothing in the fractals is fact. A thaumanova fractal WILL NOT give us any new lore, it will just be further material for us to speculate on. We won’t learn anything.

We should be voting on which fractal will give us the best gameplay experience. We already know what happens in the Fall of Abaddon but hey, the ride will certainly be a lot more fun than another asura lab thingy. We’ll get to see things we wouldn’t otherwise be able to see, like the Crystal Sea, the Margonites, and god knows what else. Thaumanova? More inquest, golems and lab equipment. Boring.

It is obvious from the screenshots that the arena is going to be located where the Great Collapse is. Look at the left side split roof overhangs. These only exist today at the border of the Great Collapse.

The Great Collapse is where the art district used to be (lore wise, in the lore there never was a canthan district)

False. There is NPC dialogue in the game mentioning the existence of a Canthan area in Divinity’s Reach. Anet screwed up so at this point the Great Collapse is both the Arts and Canthan district.
