My favorite cliff kill was fearing a TC mesmer off the hills keep while he was attempting to set up a portal after we had taken it. I saw him set the first portal and chased him to the edge of a cliff and feared him off with reaper’s mark. I guess he didn’t realize necros + cliffs get along well.

But I think this add to the case that in WvW loot should not be a drop.
We all know in WvW you can get so busy in a fight that you can be pushed from one part of the map to another and cannot go back for your loot.
And in this instance a fight can be so close that both parties die and there is no way to pick up the loot bags.
Sometimes you might be able to run back in time before they despawn, but most times you cannot even get back.

So instead maybe add a chest at the spawn where you can collect your loot from after a battle?

Or just put it directly in inventory. If your inventory is full, you would still get the “you got loot” window.

What armor/accessory/weapon stat set do you use Quenta? Judging from your full health (~24k) its obviously not glass cannon, but doesn’t seem to be full PVT either. Is it a mix?

Oh not at all. You can ask BG & KN how bad they kicked our kitten last 3 weeks despite being friendly on the forums :P. TC only tries to prevent any personal animosity with enemies atleast at forum level. TC has fought as hard as it could in T2 for 10 weeks despite the soft mindset we carry overall so I doubt it would make its enemies softer on the battlefield.

We just try to respect our opponent and remind each other that its afterall a game with real human beings on the other side who have as much responsibility as we do for our respective servers and have great battles while also having fun parties before reset to end the week on a good note. I’m sure it isn’t that difficult to be nice to each other as human beings if not as pixels ingame.

Yes, I can agree with respecting your opponent, but stirring the pot is also fun AT TIMES. ;P I don’t think we have to worry about disrespect really though – have you ever seen a tier 1 thread? They have the award for disrespect to each other. Maybe BG is bringing some of the good sportmanship to that tier, but I dunno.

You guys are definitely doing really well against everything that has happened. If you don’t stay in tier 2, I have a feeling you will be back eventually. I’ve come to respect SoS once the fat has been shaved so to speak – the bandwagon fat. Those that stayed are the guilds that are the truly respectable ones. Keep it up guys!

@Rockon – I think at least 4 guilds went to BG. I believe some of them are the same guilds that transferred to SoS when they were doing awesomely in tier 1, not entirely sure though.

Ok, now for the post reset night server reviews.

Kain – Yeah, you guys are crazy – makes my small group mentality qq, lol. I like running with smaller groups taking smaller objectives, but with all the 20+ zergs you got running around, makes that somewhat difficult. Its been fun though.

SoS – It sucks seeing you guys fall from your former glory, but I still hate you. :P I think you shaved off quite a bit of the forum warrior fat, but you being an old opponent from my days in tier 1 before JQ became a super server made me hate you. Its been fun killing you guys. That being said, as a server, you’re still pretty strong and despite your heavy losses, you are doing a rather impressive job.

Fun fights all around. Now to get rid of this cold, so I’m less moody and can actually play the game.

Interesting fight’s so far. I’ve ran into FA more then SoS. Seems like a majority of FA are not lvl 80’s though? Just lvln alts or? Anyway regardless Glad to have gotten rid of blackgate it was a headache trying to go up against you guys. Truthfully Kaineng got lazy from steam rolling up in tiers. We were NOT ready for T2 when we got here. I think though we have all learned a lot and grew so hopefully we can give this another go and show our true potential? So far this matchup seems evenish. Just use the stealth fountains if you don’t want to be attacked… Can’t be stealthed while in the dark room you say? You should of gotten your fiery dragon sword from GW1 HoM or your Mad King’s fiery backpiece then. If you do die, wait some time, maybe someone will come by from your team and res you.

I realize that FA thinks everything is about them, but there’s no grand conspiracy to keep them out of T2, no matter what the people posting on your community forums seem to think. Even if that’s the case, maybe it’s a sign that portraying yourselves as a bunch of wannabe “serial killers” and belittling the servers and guilds (except the ones you’re courting to transfer over) you’re competing against isn’t having quite the effect you want to have.

Then you all shouldn’t be saying DB and YB are throwing away the match. YB has had a low score since day 1 of this week. I’m not sure about DB, however, but the people I know on DB are not throwing the match either. No, we don’t think everything is about us – its just if you’re gonna say crap about our matchup, expect people from our matchup to say crap about this matchup.

Aaaaand TC did what we hoped to do, stay in T2 with the current points.

We’re currently back in T3 again…. by 0.07 rating. The matchup still isn’t over and it will be really close, but the only way we could guarantee us staying in t2 is if we manage to beat Kaineng. Even closing part of the current gap will go a long way. However, seeing as TC’s getting hit by both enemy nightcrews, it will be interesting to see what happens in the next 34 hours.

I feel sad for you guys that both DB and YB is throwing their matches. Else you guys had a legitimate chance to stay in T2.

Tier 1 can be that way, yes. It just depends on who you talk to. I think JQ/SoR/BG is going to have more forum thread problems than JQ/SoR/SoS or JQ/SoS/BG. BG and SoR already hate each other and apparently BG hates JQ. Its like a triangle of hate. That being said, there are some great people on JQ and BG and I’m sure SoS and SoR. Its just a lot of the forum people that are bad really.

But yes, FA is great. I joined FA about a month ago from JQ. “Why would you leave a tier 1 server that’s winning?” some of you may ask. I joined FA to group with my now primary guild in WvW and anything else in the game, since my JQ guild went inactive months ago (something about lack of endgame in GW2 or w/e). I am glad I made this decision, because its been a fun community to WvW with here. Also, tier 1 has a pretty toxic atmosphere – not one I wanted to be a part of.

EB was rather PvDoor-ish too last night. There were a somemoments where DB or YB brought a fighting force, but not often. I think people just need to get used to checking things out more often when they see white swords as opposed to relying on orange swords.

I was impressed by how fast DB took their section of EB though. Once they took the keep back, it pretty much went pretty fast from there. I’d say the DB valley was all blue within 15 minutes of them taking keeping back. It happened pretty fast.

It will be very close on whether FA moves up or not. Should be interesting to see.

Yeah, scouting is good, but if noone listens, it doesn’t help. Perfect example of this:

I was on EB with a few guildies last night and we were going to check out RQ. I took the south path from the keep into RQ and about 10 YB players were heading my way. I thus went into the nearest tower (Aldon’s tower) to not get ganked and they at first didn’t attack the tower (I think they went after something else nearby). I called it out in team chat, but only 1 person came. I then told my guild in party chat and they came, then after calling it out in team chat a couple more times, more people came. Apparently, noone noticed me calling it out in team chat the first time. Aldon’s was fully upgraded. By the time we got the YB players dead, the gate was at 50%. If people actually listened in team chat and came sooner, that gate would have not gotten to 50%.

Now, if I hadn’t been forced into Aldon’s to escape that group of 10 (and thus didn’t see them heading away from RQ), they probably would have taken Aldon’s and we would have lost a fully upgraded tower, because people apparently were not coming over for white swords, let alone me telling them in team chat “10 attacking aldon’s”.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Its crazy though. I look at map, and bam, tower we just took already owned by another server within a minute or 2. People aren’t even upgrading them due to I assume the length of time to even get a tier 1 upgrade + the cost vs ‘stealth’ capping due to no orange swords.

Hey tier 2, trying to see what others think. Do you all think towers are flipping on a more consistent basis a lot quicker now since patch? In tier 3, all 3 servers are flipping in like 1 or 2 mins. People aren’t even bothering to upgrade them, which I think is attributed to how fast they seem to be flipping now. Let me know your thoughts!

In tier 3, towers are flipping like crazy since patch and paper gates seem to have less HP as well. Are other tiers experiencing this too? I’m just curious, because towers do not last long anymore, lol.

25 seems a high number to not trigger orange swords it seems. I think 15 would of been a better number. Oh well.

- Cloak and Dagger: The player can no longer use this ability stack stealth by attacking WvW walls.

These ascended items have been so grindy, with the rings being less so until laurels came out.

Backpiece:
Gather 250 T6 mats, 50 ecto and 2 other mystic toilet items to make the backpiece OR gather 1,850 fractal relics (1,350 for the exotic verison + 500 for the gift of ascension).

Rings:
Do 10 lv 10+ fractal dailys which wasn’t overly awful since you had a chance at some decent drops OR get 35 laurels (over a month’s worth of dailys).

Amulets:
30 laurels (about a month’s worth of dailys).

Accessories:
Looks to be either get 12 guild mission commendations + 5g OR get 40 laurels + 50 ecto.
