I was wondering how TC got an 8k lead. I was also wondering why Kain BL was left alone last night from TC but TC BL and FA BL was all red. Hmmm, coincidental? I’m not saying there was 2v1, I’m just calling out factual observation just looking at the maps last night.

Why is that map all green and red in EB? Does TC defend that well during the day that its deterring Kain from going after them? I thought you lacked coverage at some point. Between last night, and today, there’s plenty of red to go around, so what coverage do you guys (TC) actually lack? At least FA BL is blue again.

Ya, the only thing I remember about RP is how gross WoW’s RP was. There’s nothing like exploring a map and getting to a random remote section of the map and thinking it was fun to get to a area you haven’t seen before, only to have that experience ruined by people cybering…yeahhhhhh. I mean I was never into RP but that was just gross and further pushed me away from this thing called RP.

But now I’m going off into a random tangent. Back to the scheduled WvW mayhem.

That sub I had, its now in the trash can, because the screenshot made me vomit – due to the score, not the weird hair colored human! Really!

Oh I know. I just like seeing a map screenshot every so often.

Ikr it was totally n00b status. I just pushed my luck. ;( Salvaged 7 ectos later that night off 3 rares worth less than 20s on the TP so at least I turned a profit eventually.

Bah, not noob, nothing wrong with taking a gamble. That’s a good profit – 210 silver at roughly 30s per ecto.

I have yet to get a exotic in WvW. I will lol hard if I get “the lover” from a TC kill. That would just be amazing.

Oh, can we get a score update for NA worktime/schooltime? A score update while I enjoy this sub while I’m on break would be great.

It was a rough day-evening in FABL. We didn’t get our BL back until late in the evening and the Garrison was redecorated with shag carpet and pink curtains so we had to do some work to clean it up.

Good fights though, I was impressed with how well TC played last night.

To think, all this bad blood came to fruition because a RP event in a PvP zone was PvP’ed. Appledainty didn’t even seem that offended from what I’ve read of that forum thread way back! I think TC got more offended than she did.

But yes, I can agree, this matchup is fun, had a great time fighting CERN and PiNK last night – it looks like tiers are finally stabilizing but who knows how long that will last, meh.

I understand that Urrid, but people tote FA as a troll server, which is not true, just because we have some trolly members. Likewise, TC is not an innocent server, despite they have some really nice people, that try to keep things civil and respectful, which is commendable.

Well, now TC is showing how non-innocent they can be. Don’t get me wrong, there’s great people on TC (every server has great people) but please stop toting yourselves as the most innocent/civil server, because you’re not. Your trolls, just like every server’s trolls, prevent TC from being the godsend, most civil server. If that person was from PiNK, that sucks, because its tarnishing PiNK’s name. Sunspots seems like a really nice person, so I’m sure s/he will deal with this person if this person is from PiNK.

Hint – being an RP server does not prove innocence.

Yeah, I tend to go up front more than I should on my necro. Changing to a DS build makes that less painful though. Contemplating going 30 into SR to see how well DS can really do, heh.

How big is Pink? If its a PvE night, there were still a lot of you that showed up and I’m glad you did because you all are fun to fight. Pretty fun night but off to bed now. FA BL is really a hotspot this week. First time I actually waited on FA BL’s queue this week and tonight was the most fun I’ve had this week.

Interesting – just noticed something. Look at the triangle formations that is 2 towers and 1 camp on each side of blue’s and green’s sections. Now look at red’s section and see how the 2 tower/1 camp (pang, ogrewatch, that other tower) triangle is rather uniform then look at speldan’s, anz, mendon’s triangle and look how its a right triangle (meaning the distance between the two towers from the camp is not equal). Anet must of been tripping when they made that part of the map. 5 rather uniform triangles then one right triangle on the entirety of the EB map.

We noticed that awhile ago. Speldan’s out in BFE, and Anz has a mountain blocking it. Map disadvantage goes to the team in 3rd place. (Even though, IRL, it would probably be reversed. The lowlands would be harder to defend and the overlook would be the ideal position)

Yeah, I’m a little slow to noticing things, I’ll admit. I only notice these finer details when I’m not playing though (when I’m bored). When I am playing though, too much going on to notice those things, heh. Just kinda interesting, since its the only camp that doesn’t have a uniform distance between its towers.

I used MF gear for crafting material farming, since I think mf affects that slightly. For anything above fine/masterwork (most crafting mats are fine lvl), I gave up on magic find to get me any of that.

I would love to see videos of a small group (5-10) getting things done efficiently. Those probably do not exist though, since WvW is largely about ZvZ (zerg vs zerg).

Not sure if this counts but this was KN or TC Garrison. But we took it while KN was so busy trying to attack FA BL and TC attacking us in EB.

Sure we may not have been able to defend the keeps but we downgraded them and held them for a few PPT ticks.

Not bad at all for a small group really. I generally expect small groups to only do camps and towers efficiently, so that’s rather good. Yeah, I understand when you took the keep, you probably didn’t have too much resistance, but I find it hard to believe there were absolutely no Kain/TC members on w/e map you were on, so I’m sure they could have responded.

Thanks I wouldn’t say strictly. I was about 75% done with it before I started playing WvW. Then I stopped my hardcore farming ways, decided PVE was evil, and played mostly WvW. Which is why it took me since October last year to finish my legendary, lol

I had pretty much everything except completion (mostly WvW completion), some TA tokens, the bloodstone shard, obsidian shards, and the gift of battle before I went into WvW. Most of that is just karma, exp, or badges. Last night I used killstreak boosters in the lake in FABL and TCBL to farm krait (and random enemies) until I had my last two skill points. Now I can go back to my yak routes and sentry duties.

Awesome! I got my Gift of Battle last night for the dreamer. The dreamer is just too awesomely stupid to pass up, lol. I think it would had been more epic on longbow though. Barrage of unicorns….

Sounds like just about any other tier 1 server really. Tier 1 was a lot like that back in the day. SoS, JQ and whoever was in the 3rd slot had several moments like that.

Confirmed, but it doesn’t even need to get interrupted. Sometimes, for me, even in PvE, pet will come over when I hit downed pet heal, sit on top of my character and do nothing. If its not healing my character, then WTF is it doing?! I really don’t wanna know.

Necro downed skills on land aren’t that great either. The life leech (skill 1) usually isn’t enough to rally even when 1 person is attacking you and the fear (skill 3) seems to never work and then skill 2 is a poison cloud, freakin awesome. How is that supposed to help me now? At least we are resilient with a deathshroud build though.

I don’t think anyone is discrediting. The fact the latest score update shows we own a 1/4 of the pie shows that we do have some coverage during NA worktime/Oceanic early morning. We understand SEA is currently in a difficult state, and I’m sure we are thankful for those that do play for SEA time to keep our PPT from getting abysmally low, even if we don’t show it.

I’ll say it for all of us – thank you SEA guilds/players for keeping FA on the board. I believe our PPT would be pretty bad if it weren’t for your presence during these times. We just need to bolster your presence a little. I hope you are all having fun fights out there, even if you are outnumbered.

Kain’s strongest is SEA time. FA’s is NA/AUS. TC, no idea.

Kain could treb our gari all day, it would give me a target to go after with another equally sized group of course. I’m not a thief, so going towards a group alone is a bad idea. Group meaning probably 5 or more. Then again, I’m pretty bad, so I’d probably die to 3 people (not overly good at solo pvp, but I still prefer going around with a small group in WvW). Meh. Trying to get a hang of this Necro build my guildie and I came up with.

Maybe if they had similar rewards for defending, that might be better. Another reason people let defense events fail is because if they restart, its more exp, karma, silver since a defense event is generally one event and a offensive event is usually a larger chain. Take the gates of Arah for example..defending is 1 event, you get standard karma, exp and silver. If you let it fail and it restarts from Shank Anchorage, you get the defense of Anchorage event, collect scrap metal for Dexa event, defend Scholar Didi event where she summons a golem, help Angaria signal reinforcements (usually fails), seize the steps of the promenade, capture the hall of of the promenade, and defeat the high risen wizard.

Defense – 1 event, no chest
Offense – 7 events, large chest (that didn’t drop a rare for me last night and several others strangely)

If they made defending on par with the rewards of those 8 events, then it might be worthwhile to actually do it. I don’t think the loot drops are even on par, since you kill less foes. I personally enjoy doing that chain over and over again, as opposed to defending, since there’s more things to do in the chain than the one defensive event.

I dunno about that. If you’re referring to the # of events, its a much smaller difference in WvW. You either defend an objective or capture an objective. There isn’t a huge chain to capture a keep or tower in WvW. You don’t get an event for each wall/gate you knockdown. You only get an event for capturing the keep/tower/camp. The sentries, dolyaks and quaggan/ogre/hylek camps are separate from that.

That being said, defending in WvW is much more fun, since you’re not fighting the same stale AI every time you defend, like you do in PvE events. You’re fighting other players, and well, they don’t do the same scripted crap that AI does, so it makes it far more interesting.

Not sure if the “you” in your sentence was the general “you” or me, but I’d much rather defend a WvW objective over a stale PvE event any day, so no, it does not leak over into WvW (at least in my case).

They could let us salvage them, but no. I mean we get guaranteed rares daily thanks to the world events, so why can’t they change it so unwanted ascended rings can be salvaged into ecto as well.

Where are you guys getting all these rare/exotic drops? I get 1 rare every few months from wvw. I have never gotten an exotic. Are you wearing MF armor or something? I hope not… wait, let me check my drop luck meter – oh right, its at zero and always has been for MMOs.
