No, sadly the SMS verification reminder only has the options “remind me later” and adding the SMS verification now

Can you add a way to disable these random SMS verification reminders when logging in instead of just “remember later”? It is getting really annoying to get this all the time if you have 30 accounts.

Also please lessen the flood control on your login servers. After logging in 23-24 times it takes significantly longer to login. Please make this at least 30. It also takes several hours to go back to normal login times.

Malediktus just put low numbers so he can get all points. If you have time do most of PvE achs you don’t deserve any wvw achs. Capture 10k objectives. Really? Kitten even i have 27k capped so it should be at least 100k.

How many hours you spent in WvW? Even in eotm 27k caps would take a very long time.

IMO, we could use more privacy features. You should be able to toggle so that people should not be able to see your location or AP, or whatever unless you add them too.

Then people will just kick you for hiding your AP. If it is hidden you surely have something to hide :p

I am happy they dont include the underwater weapons in black lion sets anymore, makes the achievement cheaper to complete.

I dont even know how many fractal runs I did, but I did a lot. Yet I only have 15 out of 19 skins and I am fine with it being a longterm goal to find all of them.

It is good for you if you equip things you like. I always equip the most rare and precious items I have even if I dont like them.

Well actually they do not need to delete everything. I thought about it for a while. They just need to copy the current achievement progress somewhere and make new achievements with the correct values.
Then they import the values and round them down.

If achieved value > new required value then set the achievement status to the new value. If achieved value < new required value then set the achievement status to the achieved value.
That way they could easily use your progress without any memory overflow

The luck factor is making them special.

Getting to 50 will be much faster and easier than now after HoT is released because we only have to do 1 island instead of 4. 20 pristines would be way too good considering that it is getting increasingly unlikely to get a skin you are missing the more of them you already have.
Eg. if you have 15 of 19, you only have a 4 out of 19 chance, that the next skin will be one you dont have yet
A compromise might be that the fractal skins will cost more tokens the more you have unlocked. Your first one might cost 20, but each additional one would cost 20+(20*amount of fractal skins unlocked). That would be only 3800 pristine fractal relicts in total if you were unlucky enough to never find any from the RNG method.

If something is aquired by RNG, grinding or skill does not matter if it has prestige.

Prestige sells in capitalism. Why do you think a lot of people trade 100s of currency to gems to trade for gold to buy legendaries with it? Or some super expensive Apple Watch in real life. The whole luxury good industry just works on the principle that people want things other people cannot have.

It is a psycholigical thing.

In GW2’s case everyone can grind or try to beat the RNG, but not everyone can be the most skilled person ever. And since Anet wants GW2 to be casual friendly we have to live with this kind of prestige.

So why can PvP earn most of the PvE skins for less work?

No. GW2 is about cosmetics. If you dont want to see other peoples cosmetics maybe it is the wrong game for you.
You also cannot hide peoples Ferraris and stuff in real life.

PvE in GW2 is made for the very bad people, so if you cant implement proper skill checks so casuals dont cry, you can only make grind and RNG checks.

In that case simply deleting the existing achievements would be the best way to go. While I would loose 3k+ hours of WvW achievement progress, its still better than not being able to complete them

If the gold ones are a progression to the blue ones they need to become even harder to get than the blue ones, not the blue ones made easier.

If it would give rewards it would be open to abuse. How would the game determine if you successfully helped someone? It the other person just needs to press “yes this person helped me”, then guess what people would do with their friends or their 30 accounts.

It will offer no more less abuse options than a commander tag or suggesting people to press “Alt+F4” or “F12+space” in map chat.

Why do you care what skins other people have? Lemme guess, “kitten kitten because prestige”, right? I was just at lunch with a friend and we were laughing at how pathetic and sad the concept of prestige in a MMO is.

If there is no statistical progression we need cosmetic progression. If you take away cosmetic progression I am ok with it, but then I want a gear treadmill.

The concept of prestige in games isnt any more pathetic than prestige in real life. Remember E=mc² so everything is energy just in a different shape.

Nope, it would not be possible.

To explain why. the dat-file is more then “just” a file containing all other files. It is also a database (hence the word .dat). It is used to contain the thousands of textures, sounds, models and have it reachable in a quick and easy way.

Any file system handles this differently and a .dat is the way to make sure it is universal and can be handled by any system.

While filesystems try to mimic the effects of a database, it is never as good as a real one cause it is made for a much broader scope. The dat-file database is made for one goal.

I am pretty sure the filesystem is not the reason that they use this format. Not every file system even supports files over 4GB.

I have over 5k Spirit shards and no idea how to spend them, so I am glad the rate isnt higher

Any resources dedicated to eSport in GW2 are wasted resources, especially if they come with real money prices.

It doesnt matter if you have a 4k screen. Even if you use a 4k solution to have it downsampled for extra anti aliasing, you will suffer from this problem.
If you have Nvidia drivers it is super easy to play @4k with a full HD screen.
You do not even need a super graphic card for it, even my GTX580 works decently for it. Even the budget gaming cards such as a Nvidia GTX960 should be more powerful than that one.

If they dont even know that it will come for sure this year, I think we should be prepared for a 2016 release.

The thing is, it is impossible to proof if you bought the gold or someone else ordered it for you. So it will always be your word vs Anets word as long as there is no way to refuse receiving mails with gold or items.

You dont waste time by running around. The waves take exactly the same time no matter if you are stealth stacked or running.

I wouldnt mind an option to automatically refuse all mails which contain gold or items. If I expect something I could always adjust the setting for a moment.

If all else fails you can add the microsoft ips to the host file so it cannot contact the update server (also good to block the other spyware stuff from W10) anymore.

from what I’ve read on another forum that’s not 100% true with windows 10 with some IP’s have been unblockable by the host file.

Are you sure? First time I heared of it.
If it is true people will just find another workaround for it, such as blocking the IPs in their router.

I never use mine, but it has a spot in my collection.

I wouldnt mind alternative ways to earn gifts of exploration, all other parts of the legendaries have more than 1 way to earn them. So why should this item be an exception.
