Its a cosmetic, so its worth it if you like the skin, no matter the price. I definatly would build a juggernaut even if a stack silver doubloons would cost 1000g.

I agree this is terrible for miniature collectors. My collection basically lost hundreds of gold in value because of Anets stupid decision. I own every miniature except the “Miniature Dolyak” so I am damaged quite badly by Anets blindness towards this issue.
I wonder why I am still collecting miniatures. They are a hassle to use and Anet keeps sabotaging the value of my miniatures for absolutly no reason. And now there is even a 20% discount on miniatures from Set 2, thought considering the rock bottom miniature prices many will make use of it.

Yes I agree , ranging spider is an exploit you bypass 1 melee atack by ranging it. Ranging lupi is also an exploit ( 3 exploits) you bypass his kick, swing and life drain. Ranging the CoE golem is also an exploit you bypass his spinning atack . There’s many of them that he exploited if range all the boas
Another game I know solved this problem by giving every monster/boss a maximum attack range greater than player attack range for all their skills. This made kiting/stacking/whatevever obsolete
Bosses should be fixed to have no minimum range anymore.
Map explorations is definatly the worst part of building a legendary. Even if you have a good WvW server its just a pain and boredom to revisit everything over and over. I would buy those map exloration gifts for several 100g each if they were tradeable.
I am not saying the existing recipes will be changed and I am 99.99% sure the existing skills will stay available. The new ones will just be to add more varity and choice.

I am pretty sure there will be precursors (new ones) and karma + skillpoints will probably be a involved in vision crystals and deldrimor steel. Map exploration and wvw badges are no longer a good requirement. Everyone got thousands of those badges even if you never spent more time in there than doing the exploration part. Bloodstone dust, dragonite ore and empyreal stars contained in the vision crystals would be a good substitute for map exploration but they might have both of it when I think of it.
So I doubt gift of fortune, gift of mastery or other existing gifts will be used. Maybe partly reused by adding mystic clovers to new gifts. So I wouldnt start stockpiling gifts of fortune or mastery just yet.
On the other hand I doubt anet would want people to craft the new legendaries on day one, so they will probably remake the recipes by at least 50% so most people will get caught by suprise unless you got at least a stack of everything.

Another influencing factor is what the new legendary weapons take. Will there be new precursors or will they use existing ones? Will they take a crap ton of ascended mats?
I could easily see new legendary weapons taking like 100 vision crystals instead of the gift of fortune. so the “cost” of the new legendary weapons would be meaningless.
There’s absolutely no reason for Anet to make a new crafting recipe for the new legendaries. The only difference, of course, would be the precursor and some gift components.

Yes, Tequatl always spawns at x + 2 minutes now. I preferred the random spawnwindows.
The achievements keep tracking progress even if they are completed, so it would be easy to calculate rewards by your progress towards critical WvW objectives such as towers flipped, dolyaks killed, camps captured,… Only challange would be to to develop a formula which make the rewards scale properly
If there is a tie, each server will be awarded the rewards for that place. e.g. if NSP and IoJ tie for 8th each will receive 8th place rewards.
It would be better if you rewarded people by their own effort. You have almost zero control about how your server is doing in the league even if you play 24/7 in WvW.
Or you have to go through a lot of effort to buy a code for mr. sparkles. People wanted 300g to 1000g+ for one so I just took the 300g offer and called it done.

The change in price took less than a month, you know.
Because people realized Anet will do nothing about it. There is no reason for them to make completly cosmetic and optional items any easier to get. I bet you 500g that they made these doubloons hard to get on purpose and did not include that recipe for the same reason.
Rewards are more than generous for the difficulty of this game. Even tequatl is easy.

Renting them puts you at the risk of getting scammed. Plus most of them are currently worth so little that its not worth the time to rent them.
dungeons are 5man only anyway, so the 20% treshold would only affect people with support or pvt builds
I think they should nerf champ loot again to not drop champ loot from bosses if you didnt do at least 10-20% damage to it (open world only, dungeon stay as is)

I bought them when they bottomed out, but its one of the rare cases where there is potential profit with minis. Considering there are 160+ minis its a bad ratio.
I support this idea. Currently buying only exceptionally good armor pieces and only once per account. If they would become unlocks I would definatly be more easily convinced to buy something
So I am an avid miniature collector, but often get annoyed by the hassle it is to use them (invisible bag required, reactivate after every zoning and death). I thought a little to make them more desireable for everyone and in return also increasing your gemshop sales for them.
1. Add a new tab to the hero menu. There you could dedicate your miniatures to your account (permanently removing it from the inventory in process). In the menu you can select a dedicated miniature for automatical use whenever possible.
2. Rename title “Miniature Collector” to “Miniature Collector of set Alpha” and add the title ""Miniature Collector of the set Beta" to the achievement track for the 2nd set (it currently has none).
3. Add a new infinite title track which rewards lets say 5 AP per dedicated miniature (each miniature can only be dedicated once per account). It should have no cap since there is only a finite amount of unique miniatures —> people will keep having an incentive to get or buy all new miniatures even if its just for the AP.
3.1. Add unique titles to this infinite achievement track.
e.g.:
Beginner Miniature Collector – Dedicate 10 Miniatures
Experienced Miniature Collector – Dedicate 50 Miniatures
Respected Miniature Collector – Dedicate 100 Miniatures
Acclaimed Miniature Collector – Dedicate 200 Miniatures
Heralded Miniature Collector – Dedicate 350 Miniatures
God of Miniatures – Dedicate 500 Miniatures
4. Add minigames where you can make use of dedicated miniatures such as miniature arena or polymock.
4.1. Miniature Arena should have a daily rotation of game modes: Death Match, Team Death Match, King of the Hill, Domination, Everyone against Everyone.
During the match you will be turned into your choosen miniature. Each miniature should have 5 skills and the strength of the miniature should mainly depend on its quality level (white to exotic). Rewards for playing: achievements, tokens for miniatures exclusive to the minigame.
4.2. Polymock similar to GW1
5. Make all miniatures tradeable. It seems pointless to me to make collectors items account bound.
6. Turn Mini Rytlock to Rare quality, like the other destiny edge miniatures.
7. Add ascended miniatures (eg. dragon champions like tequatl --> promote Tequatl from exotic to ascended), add legendary miniatures (special creatures like Zhaitan)
Feel free to suggest improvement or additions.

They are just very rare. I never seen one drop in a group of mine and I am doing plenty of dungeons.

Expansion would be good, but they dont have a reason to make an expansion as long as they can charge redicilous amount of money for almost nothing in the gem shop. Expansions are a lot more work. You would have to pay like 2000 USD for an expansion if they would value every content in it the same as they price their gem shop stuff.
I had forgotten that the original armor sets were 500 gems (what a steal they are in comparison).
So we go from 500 to 800 for a 6 piece set of armor, already a fairly steep rise. Then we go from a full set at 800 to gloves and shoulders for 800… what’s next?
To make matters worse you can’t reuse this skins without a transmutation stone, you only get 1 set, so you have to choose between sPVP and PVE. I really just wish the gem store was better than it has become.
This was expected for me. B2P had to come with some tradeoffs.
I wish GW2 would be subscription fee tbh.

Eternity still has the following bugs:
- dark foodsteps at daytime
- missing projectile animations for warrior skills and guardian whirling wrath skill
- dark aura at daytime
- transistion from sunrise to twilight and vice versa not always working (tested in lionarch), have to waypoint to change its appeareance
I think these issues need to be adressed considering the effort it takes to craft it.

Actually I am by no means a powertrader, but I would hate to see my juggernaut devalued. Considering its one of the best looking legendaries it is well deserved that it has this pricetag.
It wont happen because it would lower the value of Juggernaut by about 400 gold if it happens.
I dont see how to make money of minis. Most minis I own are worth less than I bought them for now. Add 15% tax to it…

Edit: I also noticed that a lot of the ghosts in this tutorial mission aren’t glowing like they should be. I know it’s not a huge bug, but it’s a bug all the same.
That bugs appeared some content patches ago. Ghost and similar creatures seem to randomly loose their glow.

I can’t comment at this time as we haven’t finalized anything. In addition, you should look at it this way, if people flee lower league servers to get into the top leagues, it opens the opportunity for people to move to those lower leagues and finish 1st or 2nd, rather than being in the top league and finishing 6th or 7th. The rewards for finishing 2nd in the Bronze League will be markedly better than the rewards for finishing 6th in the Gold league.
What people forget is: If you increase reward for brain afk easy activities you devalue everything else in the game. There is NOTHING challanging in this game except maybe fractals 50+. Even Tequatl is easy. My server keeps finishing him several times a day with upto 7 minutes to spare and it is not organized by guilds.
I suggest changing the endrewards of the season to rewards based on personal effort (except the finishing moves maybe) instead of server success.
Reasons:
- Server transfers manipulate results
- Servers dropping on purpose into an easier leage
- Broken queues making it harder for the good WvW players to play
- Even if you could play WvW 24/7 and/or are the best commander in the world you will only make a small bump into the PPT if the other peoples on your server have little discipline
It should be easy enough to determine personal effort, since achievements keep tracking progress even after the achievement is completed.
