This works like real life sports. If there is a tie in the ranking the next rank is skipped. In this case no 3rd and 5th.

Please remove the afk logout in minigames, especially Sanctum Sprint (you do not get anything if you dont reach the finish anyway). Its so very annoying if you come in first and have to wait minutes for the next round, but standing around behind finish for about a minute logs you already out.
I lost count on how many times I got auto logged out while waiting AFTER the finsih line for the other to be done while browing the forums.

Also please fix the shortcut exploit right before the end where you do not have to pass the finish line.

It would take a lot of dailies to make enough to be impossible to do for me, so the cap would be the better solution unless you want the leaderboard become even more of a “time wasted” board.

There should be a way to upgrade your commander tag to high commander. Maybe for 2500 honor badges, 100 laurels, 100 guild commendations and 1m karma. It would give additional perks like permanently removing the despawn timer of a weapon, destroying ill placed siege or temporarily (like 1 hour) prevent griefers take supplies from a keep or tower.

You are funny. You dont get 100+ new off peak WvW players out of nowhere.

Completely disagree… Weekly matches are fine as it is, don’t need to fix something that isn’t broken. Every server has the opportunity to get the coverage they need.

This brings the community together to come up with a plan & make things happen.

I dont care about nightcapping outside of a season, but during a season it shouldnt be about coverage only.

I am not against rereleasing it, but it should be the same RNG or very pricy.

This seems a bit silly to me. I paid just like everyone else last year. I was unlucky and did not get the minis but lots of worthless items.

You did not spend enough. Also the game cannot differenciate between people who tried last year and people who did not. I bet most people didnt try so selling the whole set for 1000 gems would be unfair.

At the start of the game: 4 dailies completable in 20min by everyone —→ now about 14 PVE/WvW dailies (exact changes all the time depending on living story) which make you go out of your way like doing a story dungeon or personal story even thought you played it all plenty of times already + 4 PvP dailies (+ more to come). Its a worrying trend.

Only if they are inside the same RNG chests like last year. It took me about 8000 gems to get them and I would be really annoyed if you could get them for 1000 gems now

I am on EU Gold league and know how baruch plays and when. They make the largest portion of their points at night.

They are ugly and overpriced.

I completely agree, though with AP rewards I’m not sure how that would work mechanically speaking.

You should keep your rewards, but are further away from earning your next chest, so if you would loose 3k points (random example), you would need to get 3k+x points for your next chest.

As someone from the TOP 100 EU (16.4k AP) I support this. There are too many daily tasks to compete in the leaderboards already.
I optimized my daily routine to do all the dailies in the fewest timeframe possible, but its not very fun.

Oh I forgot to add: I would gladly have the cap applied retroactively and loose thousands of points in return if it would make the future of the game more enjoyable for me.
Other solutions: Cap achievement points from dailies to 10k, monthlies to 2.5k and living story to 5k.
Currently 6524 of my points come from dailies and 1310 from monthlies, did all but one living story achievement worth 20 points (throw 8 orbs at liadri)

The short of it is that in-game rewards do not get people to buy gems. ANet needs money to build content, that money comes largely from the gem store.

Except Ncsoft uses a large amount of the money GW2 generates to develop Wildstar and other games.

I couldnt care less about those titles. I got the “God walking amongst mere mortals” title, which title could sound more prestigious than that one? I can already promise already the titles will sound very boring and noone will care about them.

Its a terrible idea, they should rather revisit the rank points gained per game to make r80 more of a realistic goal (maybe about 1000-2000h dedicated to tPvP)

Even as a mainly PVE/WvW player I can see the problems most of these changes will cause.

2x a week reset is a better solution. If we implemented the 48 hour that you suggested, servers would play hard for those first 48 hours and then the rest of the week would be a karma train.

My idea would be to take the placements (1st, 2nd, 3rd) from the 48hours for the season results and the whole weeks points for the glicko ranking. As of now points are already meaningless for the season, only the placement counts.

Okay, so I see two sides of this story; people arguing that Mr. Sparkles should be an exclusive and those who think this incentive is a good idea. Personally, I think a different item should have been subbed in instead of Mr. Sparkles, but I don’t really care about Minis. I was going to throw in $50 around the Christmas sale anyway because there are things I want. What I don’t seem to understand is how resistant and resentful people are about giving ArenaNet money. As much as I hate to say it, they still need to eat and upgrade the servers and the only way they can do that is with cash, not ‘gold’.

That would most likely result in a tie. One matchup won by the server with the most skilled groups and one matchup won by the nightcappers (you can easily make 20k points in a night), unless both criterias fit to the same server.

Because they come like candy from black lion chests and can be mystic forged for series 1 and 2 minis. The minis dropped like 70% in value because of it. My collection lost at least 1000g value.

Now they ruined Mr. Sparkles too to milk miniature collectors even more. We pay 1000 gems (sometimes 400 for a single one) for 4 new miniatures every other patch and an armor set only costs 800 gems.
They should definatly do some quality of life updates for miniatures before milking collectors all the time.

season failed because of bad matchups. my server can only compete on weekends, rest of the week no chance in gold league. its a problem if your server is too good for silver league, but too bad for gold league

the map looks terrible. also many recycled textured and models you already find in other areas of the game

Yes, you can get it to 20, but every attack @ 20 stacks will cause an explosion.

I have the opposite problem. I am getting upgrades almost every time. Salvaging 100s of greens per day.
