There would be little point in having them in your home instance as long as noone can enter your home instance (or can they?)
I like skyhammer. Should be added to team tpvp queue too
Seems like a fair downside to those overpowered runes
you are funny KOPPER, I wish they would make all minis tradeable, i still have christmas 2012 duplicates I cant use for anything.
Thanks for the update. This makes it much better.
Did it all in Berserkers with no problems.
so you can then get a refund of 18,400 gems which at todays exchange rate can get you more than 70k gold… wow
you should recalculate it. it costs 100g per 1220ish gems currently, so more like 1000 gold after taxes.
Tequatl always spawns exactly every 2 hours now and if your server does not do him, you might want to look for another one. Mine is doing him several times a day with 5min+ to spare. We do not need any guilds organising it, we are all pugs here.
Yesterday we had over 7min to spare twice.
This bug existed last year too if i remember right
Looks like theres someone from Good old Days [GD] amongst the cheaters? Maybe talk to their guild leader
Used 4 keys so far, no mini or anything remotely worth the effort required to get these keys.
A: 5-12
15 chars…
it used to be a 24/7 activity before the kiel election
Good point, miniature often fail to stick to the owner properly unless you stand still.
Every miniature should be tradeable, not just this one.
Hopefully this precursor hunt will take more effort than grinding out 700 gold
more like 1 shot of a vigil megalaser
Why is PvP always down hours before a large patch gets released? Considering you fixed this for WvW and PVE does not have this issue it does not seem fair.
Thanks for giving me a good laugh with this thread. I am thankful that they nerfed crafting exp. Less lvl 80s with no idea how to play.
Personally I value Gifts of Mastery at 500g each, maybe even a bit more. Clovers about the value of 3-4 ectos each. Dungeon gift 10-50g depending on which one.
build a trebuchet behind the gates. thank me later
I am suprised people ignore my suggestions. Trebuchets behind the gate are incredibly good in destroying alpha golems and rams.
Stop derailing this thread or I will have a moderator lock it. This thread is about T4/5 cultural armor and not money making techniques.
If you want to discuss money making make a seperate thread about it. I am not going further into earning gold on this thread.
The truth is it depends on your wvw playstyle. If you spend all day scouting and dolyak protecting it wont happen.
can anyone give me advice on the keg recovery achievement? with 23 of 500 its by far my lowest achievements on my task to becoming a kegmaster even thought I probably played over 200 rounds.
well keg brawl seems unenjoyable currently. Too many people afking for the daily achievement or stacked. Its not very enjoyable if half your team is doing nothing. Played several rounds today and most ended with 0-3 vs 11. Only one of them was somewhat even and enjoyable.
I even met people purposely trolling the game by turning the keg in to the opponents NPC instead of our team.

If you want to make gold in a non boring way find ways yourself. I am not a member of the salvation army.
Good post.
Suprisingly for a game about cosmetics (horizontal progression), this game has very few updated supporting the idea. Most of the interesting stuff is added to the gem store. It is fine if they add stuff to the gem store, since they make money that way, but there is very little cosmetic progression available by ingame means. Too many people look similar (excluding the dye choices) ingame because there is so little varity.
The Shards are fine as they are. Opening the temple is half the challange of getting those obsidian shards for the legendary.
I would not buy this. I spend too much time without the need to use nourishments so they would go to waste all the time.
Can we get back to topic now please?
I am not telling my “secrets” other than I am rarely doing more than 3 dungeon pathes a day and tequatl daily.
I am suprised people are opposed to the costs. If there is ever legendary armor it will probably cost 1k or more per piece knowing Anet.

I am going to try and be constructive in this reply. -
I’m not saying that you need to feel special at the expense of people who have less time, money, patience or skill than you. I am saying that there is plenty of things you could look to if you want to stand out as a character, player or community member.
However, if it really is all about the looks for you…
I’m not saying that you’re lazy. I am saying that if you took the time to create your own look mixing pieces from various armor sets and doing an amazing dye job, you’d be pretty much guaranteed a unique look.
I am already doing this, I built juggernaut and eternity and replaced my t3 heavy norn with phalanx + toxic gloves + shoulders. I think it looks quite niceley if you bug the juggernaut effect to stay with eternity equipped.
Why would anyone at anet care about the cost of minis on the tp? It’s pure cosmetics. More important is that people are buying bl keys.
Because there is no point to buy mini pack set 2 packs if you can get them much cheaper in other ways.
I think it would be great if we would get new cultural armor sets (t4 and t5). T3 is simply too cheap and almost everyone is running around with it.
I suggest 750g for a set of T4 and 2000g for a set of T5. It would be a great gold sink. Its a bit silly that the most expensive armor costs 119g for 6 pieces, but the most expensive weapons (one item) cost upto several thousand gold. Are you crazy (no offense)
Why would they even bother to make such armors is the majority of the player isnt even going to be able to afford it.
Its like legendaries, most of them are worth about 2k gold on TP, still many people have them. Heck quite a few people I know got several. They should make more super legendaries like Eternity, too.
If you really believe they will still be “best in slot” if they decide to raise the level cap, you are probably in for a nasty suprise.
750G or 2000…. That would be way too expensive! I play quite alot (8000+influence) and I have owned 150g at the same Point as most (Resources not counted)…
You must be doing something wrong, I make 150g a week without specifically farming or playing on trading post. Even WvW players can make 30 gold a day. Point is, in a game about cosmetic progression there need to be super prestige cosmetics. Stuff which I can earn in a day or two of farming has no prestige for me.

Just because its a lot of work doesnt mean its a terrible idea. The only reason Anet is unlikely to do it is because items you can buy for gold doesnt make them any direct profit.
Personally I destroyed my T3 cultural armor, not because I didnt like the look, but because almost every 2nd person with the same race and armor class was wearing it. I dont enjoy looking like every 2nd person.

The only reason 250 doubloons cost 500g is because someone with 500g WANTS THEM MORE THAN YOU DO.
No, that is one of the reasons, but not the only one. The main reason why they cost so much is extremely low supply. Precursor-level low.
And changing stats is not niche. I wouldn’t even be considering Juggernaut if not for it (i consider it rather ugly), and would be content with my ascended hammer.
Why not make several ascended then? Even if you use 5 different stats it would be cheaper.

Actually I think its too cheap. Most expensive armor set in this game? 119 gold, but many weapons which costs 100s or even 1000s.
I already destroyed my T3 armor because too many people have it.
Your post makes no sense. Of course they had a value because they were connected to the gem price.
I enjoy earning stuff not everyone can get in a day or two, what is wrong with it? GW2 is about horizontal progression ie. cosmetics. So I see no problem in having extremly expensive visual stuff. Exactly why I own Juggernaut, Eternity and all minis except the not yet available Dolyak.

As I said in another thread, sold Frostfang for 2,200g (1870g after fees) just yesterday.
I was initially (and still am, somewhat) against legendaries being sellable on the TP but I am glad that I was able to sell Frostfang. I had a change of heart essentially. I wanted another legendary + my ranger needed an ascended axe so I put two and two together – but the skin doesn’t suit my ranger at all and after all that’s pretty much the main point of legendaries. So I sold it, and now I have enough $$$ to make any legendary I want (well, besides Eternity) instead.
I’ll probably think it through a bit better this time
ps. Oh the things I’d do if I could unsoulbind items. I have two legendaries that now get very little use, and a volcanus or two I’d love to replace with Sunrise/Twilight. Man, I wish I could sell my soulbound legendaries!
If you could unbind legendaries they would drop in price by 30% or more because there are enough people like you. I am glad you cannot make items tradeable again.
I think it was a smart move, too. That said, I can imagine these disappearing from chests on the 12th. It’s gone on quite a while now. I do like that those asking to receive something of value when opening BL chests (when not receiving scraps/tickets) got exactly that. That’s a good development.
And I think its a smart move that Silver Doubloons are staying as rare as they are.
If you are a collector why do you care about the value of the collection? Are you going to sell it? As a collector I want to have the complete set, money and or their value isn’t really that important to me. Cheaper is better in fact.
Of course I care about the value. Why should collectors not care about value? In real life collectors value value, too. There is no challange to collecting cheap and accessable items.
Do you think people would care even half as much about the Mauritius stamps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauritius_%22Post_Office%22_stamps) in RL if they would be worth 5€ instead?
Currently I can afford any miniature on the market in a day or two of farming. Thats simply not very interesting to me in the long run if they are all this cheap.
(edited by Malediktus.9250)
I guess the amount of interest in this thread projects the interest in miniatures by the community
I didnt look that closely to it, that would make me even more sad. Its also sad John Smith never answers to threads about miniatures.
