1. http://gw2crafts.net has crafting guides with the stuff you can craft to level up the fastest and the cheapest.
2. You need articifing if you want the end tier weapon (Acended), as it can only be crafted. Right now this tier does not exist yet for armor, which only goes up to Exotic at this moment. Exotics can be gotten in a lot of other ways besides crafting. So yes, it may be handier than Tailoring.

Personally I got exotic PVT gear right away with karma because I had enough saved up. But if you don’t have enough karma for all the pieces you can buy level 75-80 green gear and just save dungeon tokens until you can get the pieces. I would not spend any gold on it personally, I haven’t spend anything on gear for all 3 exotic sets I own (not including runes and weapons and gems and whatnot though).

Actually, it’s free. :P You can get PVT gear for karma, WvW badges or for dungeon tokens from the dungeons Honour of the Waves, Sorrow’s Embrace and Ascelonian Catacombs.

Have you tried double daggers on your Elementalist? That is one of the more mobile playstyles.

I’m very picky about my characters so I’ve deleted quite a few. :P

I’ve tried making Norns but never liked the looks so no Norn ever made it past level 20. Also deleted a bunch of Sylvari’s below level 10-20 because I ended up not liking the color sheme and whatnot. I’ve also deleted a character because the class bored the hell out of me and I deleted a level 40 Charr Engineer because the race/class combo bugged the hell out of me. I disliked the way the armor looked on her, how goofy she ran with a rifle/certain kits, how the kits looked HUGE on her and how she was basically running on 2 legs all the time because of the Speedy Kits trait. So I have an Asura Engineer now. xD So much better.

Hm…Maybe you want a Necromancer? They can dish out good damage if you go glass cannon and still be tanky because of their Death Shroud (basically a second HP bar).

When going into Death Shroud: “I am death incarnate.”

Took me months to figure that one out, I finally understood what she was saying after I heard an Asura say the same thing.

The Elementalist is also pretty nice for support. It has water fields, static fields, fire fields and frost fields and has boons to share. You can also trait to share auras that also give fury and swiftness. I personally find them pretty sustainable, they are light armored but they have plenty of heals and a few escapes (a teleport, invurnability and if you use offhand dagger Ride The Lightning).

Guardian and Engineer are also very good choices, you can never go wrong with Guardian especially. C:

I like the LFG tool a lot. Simple, fast and easy to use. I also really like the Merg Party function.

My Asura elementalist is my main and she has two exotic armor sets, ascended rings and amulet and 81% world completion so far. I plan on getting an ascended staff for her and ascended earrings, also want to finish world completion and my personal story that’s arround level 64ish (woops :P).

The other one is one of my alts, a Sylvari Necromancer. She is in full exotics and has around 50% world completion. Not quite planning on getting anything ascended for her any time soon. I may get her a second exotic condition armor set to try out some condition builds later, as she is a tanky power based Minion Master now.

I’m still leveling a Charr Guardian (49), an Asura Engineer (36) and a Norn Mesmer (8).

With hunter you mean thief right? Thieves are actually very good in WvW (roaming).

I actually do have a Charr. xD Not as a main though.

I’ve always liked Charrs. First mostly for their looks and animations, but Rytlock grew on me and even though I’m not a fan of militaristic races usually I do like the culture where males and females are equal and the warbands. The personal story I did was one of my favourites.

I first had a level 40 Charr engineer but I could not stand the armor (tail clipping and stretching of the coats) so I rerolled it into an Asura. I now have a Charr Guardian because there are much more heavy armor options to pick from that look decent on Charrs. I wanted a Charr Mesmer but decided to make her Norn instead, simply because the light armor looks extremely bad on Charr. It’s like they’re wearing clothes a few sizes too small on most pieces.

I’m on Aurora Glade myself and I like to think it’s one of the more busy servers of Europe. Yes there are a lot of players max level but there are also a lot of players on lower level maps. Just now I was doing an event with 7 other people in a level 30 map on one of my alts. C: We’re also a good place to be for WvW being right in the middle of the server rankings, as the top tier servers (the ones high in the ranking) are often laggy zerg fest with huge que times and the low tier servers are deserted in WvW. We have a small que every now and then in the evening and we usually have nice sized groups on the borderlands. Even though we are doing pretty good in WvW we are seen as a PvE server with a very friendly community, which is one of the reasons I moved here from Gunnar’s Hold ages ago. I never regretted it. c:

You can also get Verdant weapons from the Asura and Sylvari cultural weapon vendors as either T1 or T2 can’t you?

I have the same bug with one of the hot air balloons in Queensdale. I already filled out an ingame bug report. Is it even possible to complete the achievement to get that balloon now? I really want it.

Hey folks. I have a Berserker set and I want as much as DPS as possible from it (I also have another set for dungeons, WvW and whatnot, I use the Berserker one just for open world PvE and things like that). Currently I just have Ruby orbs in the whole set to maximise my stats and because I couldn’t decide on runes. What would be best to maximise my DPS given that:

- I use scepter and dagger and can build around 16-20ish stacks of might (I have a Sigil of Battle on my scepter and will probably go for a Sigil of Bloodlust for my dagger);
- I use my Berserker set with Soldier trinkets and Berserker weapons;
- My build is currently 10/10/0/20/30.

I thought of the following options but I’m not sure which one works best.

Should I:

- Go with full Runes of the Scholar?
- Go with full boon duration runes?
- Keep the Ruby orbs?
- Something else?

I was thinking Boon Duration runes would be best to get as much might as possible, but then you have to sacrifice power, precision and crits stats…So is it worth it?

I really wish the sylvari had been genuinely androgynous, but despite what we’re told in terms of them being gender-blind, even beyond them being made in the image of gender-binary humans, they still have the same mechanical and aesthetic gender distinction as every other race in the game. It’s almost like Anet really wanted them to be one thing, but for some reason were deterred from actually putting their money where their mouth is.

I’d have like to have seen genuinely androgynous bodies, shared armour sets, shared character customisation options, animations differing based on something besides gender (such as their natural attitudes determined by their cycle), etc. It’s always frustrating when a game ventures into really interesting territory, but stops short of ‘taking the risk’ and falls back on old conventions.

Well I don’t know about your Sylvari but my female Sylvari (the gender I chose at character creation) is currently wearing light T2 pants, and if we’re assuming that the T2 cultural armor is growing from their bodies my Sylvari has male plant genitalia on her butt. o-o She also wears the flower packpiece, which has these yellow things coming off that could be called pollen, which is another male characteristic. Sounds pretty genderfluid to me.

Edit: since according to what I understand she doesn’t have female reproductive organs because Sylvari don’t reproduce, thus she isn’t hermaphrodite?

I think it’s because the armor uses your skintone in some parts and then it mixes with the color you chose.

This site has all dyes, you can set it to purple hue so you see all purple dyes. Just taking a glance at this site I’d guess Blurple or Veronica maybe.

I have it too. I’ve had 2 days now that I constantly disconnect. And when I say constantly, it’s every 10 seconds to max 5 minutes disconnect. It’s extremely frustrating. My internet connection can’t be at fault, my sister plays on her own computer in the same house as me and has no issues.

I never have to authorize my log in attempts (probably only the first time when I set it to remember my IP), but today I suddenly had to wait for an e-mail to allow logging in. I thought well fine, so I went to get the e-mail only to find that the information in this e-mail is not correct.

The IP adress and the country are correct but the city is not. It’s nowhere near my city. It got me worried so I tried getting a new e-mail. I got over 5 e-mails now and they all say the same wrong city. Should I fill out a help ticket?

Edit: my sister, who lives in the same hous as me has the exact same issue.

I would say everything looks better in human. But for picking Norn or Charr, make Norn, because every skin look 10 times cooler in super size.

Charrs are big too though.

Oh this one is easy.

Make a Charr, type /threaten and /surprised. You’ll probably squee and decide that you want a Charr. If for some reason that didn’t convince you, take a look at the awkwardly big. BIG. neck muscles and toony build of the Norn.

…I’m sorry, I’m biased as I have a 2 Charrs myself. XD But honestly I think the humanoid (human and Norn) races are pretty boring. Plus, Charr look hardcore* when wielding a greatsword and they have better voices. And, Tybalt and Dinky are Charrs and everyone loves those guys.

*The word I wanted to use gets changed to badkitten. xD

You can also get some pieces with karma at the temples in Orr.

I got myself Mint for the green and Pastel Lemon for the yellow. I think it’s pretty much a perfect match.

Your personal story unlocks dungeon. since you have to do story mode first.
You can do fractal. you can go do sPvP or WvW.

It is all up to you and what you want

You don’t need to do story first to be able to do explorable, you just can’t host your own groups if you haven’t done story first.

- Duelling. Just because I liked duelling my sister, I never duelled anyone else (because I usually suck at PvP).
- A trade system for when 2 players want to trade something.
Edit: Oh yes and what someone above me said, a seamless open world.

- Multiple dance emotes.

From Aika Online:
- A pet that actually interacts with you, helps in battle, develops a personality based on how you treat it, that will grow up and is able to be dressed up with clothes and accessoires. By far the most fun pet system ever.

From Forsaken World:
- Fun instances that are not filled with stuff that wants to kill you, but it has minigames for you to complete instead. Examples are a jumping puzzle, a “simon says” game, and a math mini game.
- A LFG tool where you can click the dungeon you want to run, run off to do whatever you want until it finds a group for you. Then you can immediatly enter the dungeon from anywhere.
- Male characters being able to carry female characters.

Aion:
- A housing system which you can decorate with carpets, wall paint, furniture and even own your own garden if you bought a house with a garden. The more expensive houses also had a banker NPC and whatnot.

It clips pretty bad on my female T2 light set aswell, because of the add-ons on the back of the top. I’ll be getting myself some T1 pieces as soon as my Sylvari reaches level 35, since she can’t wear the flower earlier anyway.

You don’t have to have anything special to do “end game content”. In fact, you don’t even have to be level 80.

Anyway, what I would do is get all exotics with the stats and skins (look) you want on your gear, including weapon and trinkets. You can Google Argos Soft, who has a complete armor gallery with information on how to get them and what they cost, where you can pick out skins. On the Guildwars2 Wiki you can find where you can get armor sets with the stats you want.

Also know that you don’t need gold to get exotics, but the wiki will tell you all about that. Getting a nice sum of gold is nice though, just because when you see a shiny (from the Black Lion store for example) you can buy it. XD People usually run the dungeon Citadel of Flames path 1 to get gold fast, but you can also farm in Orr. Completing maps there will give you some exotics to use or sell too.

You also can look into getting ascended accessoires which is currently the best stuff there is. You can get them either through the Laurel vendor, Fractals of the Mist or through guild events.

Oh hah, coincidentally I’m looking for some nice skins for my second set for my Asura Elementalist too, and she happens to wear the same Nightmare set (atleast half of it, I mixed it a little). XD I’m currently window shopping at the Hearts of the Mist PvP locker, I’ll post some outfits I put together here later.

That PSU is pretty poor and I don’t think even has dedicated voltage regulation, I would stay away from it and a less powerful PSU but of better quality would be a better choice.

You can do it yourself, OCing the SB and newer line of CPU’s is child’s play to what it use to be. Also, most of the time getting a CPU OCed from a builder is not worth it, they tend to charge a good amount for a very, very low OC making the money better spent on the more powerful chip inline from it, OCing is worth it because its in most cases a $15-20 premium for the “k” line is not much for the boost you can get, but when you get into paying a shop to do it along with installing a better cooler and the cost of the “k” line it becomes less and less worth it, you are better off getting the faster chip from the start.

I see, yeah, those are on board, I thought you were giving a list of parts from a shop and not going off a drop down spec list. Speakers do not process sound, they produce sound for hearing from processed data by a sound card.

The rating of network speed is local only, that is moving a file from one PC (your desktop) to another (your laptop) on the same network inside of your house, not connection speed to the outside world and internet or the game, also, 10MB is pretty fast for most wifi setups. File transfers are done in MB (megabyte) and networks use Mb (megabit), I would be willing to bet the laptop or whatever you are using is running off of n mode and as such you are probably not going to see any more speed on file transfers. Also, your home wifi network is not a 60GB network, no one on earth has a home network like that.

Oh yeah I think I said that wrong. My laptop will only take 10 mbps while we have internet for 60mbps. XD And I understand now.

Will the new parts will be more expensive than the ones already out or will they have the same price?

If you like flashy spells Elementalist and Mesmer may work for you. I’m like you fan of flashy spells and when I was new I was trying a few characters first. I got so jaleous of the Elementalists around who who would let meteorites fall from the sky I made one myself. It has been my main ever since. XD Engineers have flashy skills too, you can set everything on fire with your flamethrower and blow stuff up with grenades and bombs. I haven’t tried all classes yet though (like Guardian and Thief).

The Asuran story line was really fun for me to do. The main character Zojja is one of my favourites in the game. I haven’t finished any of the other story lines yet (I’m working on Sylvari, Charr and I just started Norn). The Sylvari and Charr ones are also pretty cool, turns out Charrs have a good sense of humor every now and then. XP

I wouldn’t base the choice of race on what zones you like and what not, as you can play in any you want. I have a Charr and I dislike the Charr zones, so I usually take her to zones of other races to play.

First of all: thanks so much for all the info guys! ^^ I don’t know anyone in my surroundings who knows about computers (I don’t know anything about them either) so I could use all the tips I can get.

It says RS-600-ASAB. And alrighty, I’ll go with an Intel then. I hadn’t looked into Intels before because my sis got a really bad experience with a laptop with Intel but I heard before that Intel is the best for higher end cards (she had a low end card).

What do you need a network card for? Is the on board one not good enough? On board NIC’s are often well more than anyone needs and buying an extra one is a waste of money best spent else where.

No idea..Can you use wifi without it? I have 60 GB wifi network, my current laptop only wants to use 10 MB of it so I thought a better one would make sure it’d use everything of the 60 GB. Sorry, I’m very not-IT savvy, this is what the worker from the shop I wanted to order from recommended to me. ^^"

That mobo I wouldnt recommend to my arch enemy anything 970a-g46(including this) are basically kitten for 8cores FX processors due to low quality VRMs some basically explode check the VRM thingy in the link http://www.overclock.net/t/946407/amd-motherboards-vrm-info-database so pick up a board with good vrm and low price according to this list if the price is your concern.

I had one of them and thing would go 100c with basic overclock(4ghz) so I learned from the hard way and had to upgrade to Fatality 990fx Pro and everything is fine now even with 4.8ghz (Fx-8120)

Ps: if you really are on a tight budged I’d suggest to go with 6300 to spare some money for a better board.
