Is this a powerup in a future world?

No, the game is based on retro games, not limited to Zelda.
Also your proposed upgrades doesn’t fit the picture that has been released with all future upgrades in it.
Max tier of any item is 3.
Furthermore it’s way more logic that the powerglove comes next since there already is a wall that requires it in world 2-2.
The picture is in one of the threads here somewhere, find it.

No idea who you are, sorry, I’m the one and only Mikuchan and everyone else is an impostor.
Also I do not play WoW as WoW is bad. Bad bad. Bad bad bad bad bad… Bad.

As explained, we can’t get a bauble counter with the current technical limitations of their game engine.
But it would be useful if the achievements instead contained a text showing how many baubles we were to get.

My only complaint.

Well, you see where they are so just aim at them and shoot them?
You have plenty of time to react unless you rush right into them, which is not in any way suggested anywhere as a tactic.
If I can do it, so can you. Takes 2 hits for the easier ones and 3 for the harder ones and a few more for the very rare special ones.

My only complaint.

There’s a very easy way to kill them without taking damage.
Slingshot or bombs.
You can do it with nunchucks semi-easilly but it requires speed and dodging.
Bombs and slingshot really is the easiest way.

@William
It’s funny how you first say “get over it” and then you complain about ANet only listing bugs that get alot of attention.
You’re arguing against yourself.

I disagree with you. We shouldn’t get over it.
Also it’s not “obviously bugged” because even if that many players have searched that much, there can be something that has been missed. Something small, maybe even invisible.
Silence makes people waste time and energy and come out disappointed.
We need an official answer to this to know if it’s worth to look more or if we should wait until a patch.
Claiming it’s “obviously bugged” really doesn’t help, especially since you’re not one of the creators of SAB.

It’s not a secret, it’s been posted here before in other threads. ANet knows about it already and so do half of the people posting here.
Keep in mind that it’s Josh’s blog we are using as a source and he writes what he wants and he may or may not be biased.
However the part that he is hush-hushed from ANet whatever the reasons is obviously true since he’s not posting anymore and that’s the main concern that is being stressed.

What to Do with Continue Coins...

You can use several normal coins at the same time. I wasted 10 coins on 50 life just because I could. They went poof quickly in tribulation.

But I agree, I also think the continue coins are very useless when you get infinite coin.
It would be nice with some use for them even if it’s just to sell them for a small profit.

Maybe trade 10 coins for a bauble bubble to keep the profit to the game and not mix it with other currency? (since 5 lives cost 1 bubble to buy)

The symbol on the block that’s blocking the door is a fist with the krytan letter P in, probably for “Power”.
There will be 3 gloves total in the final game and we currently have 1, Wisdom (making me assume that this has something to do with the Triforce in Zelda. It consists of Power, Wisdom and Courage).
The Power glove will not be in this part of the game, but it will likely be the next one to come since that block is hinting for it.

Ayrilana, if that’s the case, then ANet really fails to see the reality.
First of all.
There needs to be an explanation why someone who has posted alot and given lots of answers, communication and taken lots of feedback suddenly stops posting at all on the forum.
Without the explanation, Josh Foreman will be blamed and it would be very bad to throw him under the wagon like that. Thus such an explanation is very justified in my book.

Furthermore, he cannot control what the people do and ANet probably knows that. Thus he cannot be held responsible for any forum-poster’s actions. If the people see something they don’t agree with, they will make themselves heard and that happens in countries that have a freedom of speech. The people’s fault, not Josh’s fault.

Thirdly we are trying to tell ANet that we want communication, we want truth even if it hurts, we don’t want standardized robotic answers.
While Josh might have answered “We have tried to work on that problem for a while now but we haven’t found a solution.” or “Thank you for telling us this, but we have to wait and see if this is a general issue or just local to you.” the ANet standard answer would be “We have this in our tracker.”. The later is very unpersonal and cold and gives no valuable information. “Ok, you have it in the tracker… but are you working on it? When can we see a fix for it? Do you need more information for it? .. Hello?”.

In no way can I see ANet legit blame Josh for this.
And I think of ANet as pretty intelligent, after all they have the capability of running a huge company and creating something so complex as an MMORPG, so I don’t think they will do that.

However they do need to understand that we want a 2-way communication where we can give them feedback and they can ask for more feedback and where they can give us information that we need as players of the game even if the answer is an uncomfortable truth, something obvious or a simple answer such as “we don’t know yet but we are trying to look into it, could you give us more information?”.
This is what Josh Foreman did and that’s what made him one of the greatest employees at ANet (along with creating awesome content!).

SAB needs Josh, this forum needs Josh and ArenaNet needs Josh. And we still have threads about serious issues in SAB unanswered for several days since there’s nobody that goes into the thread and says “We are sorry but we don’t know what’s wrong. We are trying to find the problem, thank you for listing every single bauble you have found so far.” or “Oh, but we actually have more baubles hidden away. Maybe we should look at balancing this since nobody seems to find them.” like I believe Josh would have if he could.

Now there are other people that are fairly good at replying and follow-up and that’s good. But honestly I’ve yet to see someone as dedicated as Josh Foreman and I think it’s important that ANet gets to know that.

I’m going to leave it at that because I don’t think we should be this far off topic, especially discussing Arenanet’s employee policies.

In this case we aren’t discussing ANets internal employee policies. We are discussing ANet’s -external- policies and that is a very important matter for us players to give feedback to ANet on.
ANet -thinks- that their company is jeopardized because a single employee talks to the people and give them truth and feedback instead of giving standardized neutral robotic responses that say nothing.
It is important that ANet understands that that is not the case.
If they do understand that, they will change their policy and let the people that needs to talk do so.
It is true that this thread isn’t about that, so we might need a new thread for it.
But this thread is going nowhere because of that issue, which is why we have discussed it here.

Edit: also what Ryu said.

If it is true that ANet really is looking at each thread, I can’t see why they haven’t said anything at all in the existing threads.
They must know about it and we are getting very disappointed that we can’t even get the robotic, dull answer “we have it in our tracker” or “we are working on it”.
People are spending hours to search for something that might not even be possible to find and that is something that definately causes people to get disappointed, stop caring and stop playing.
A simple answer changes that.
Silence doesn’t.
Also get Josh Foreman back to the forum, he was awesome and actually replied to people.

Honestly this makes no sense at all. We had a asuran holographic display there one second, then on the next patch all of sudden its back. You can sit there and pretend that the fountain is going to be permanent but the fact is once the mad king rolls around its going to get destroyed again. the same way. Why make a new cutscene when you can just recycle the old? They did it in guild wars 1 and they will do it again… Your clearly ignorant to the fact and have obviously not been here when certain events have gone down.

What makes no sense is you first arguing that the fountain suddenly popped into existence after being destroyed and now you’re saying that the explanation doesn’t make sense because there has been a holoprojector there that hasn’t even got anything to do with the explanation.

They deconstructed the fountain during Dragon Bash, where they had the asuran holographic display showing dragon holograms for the festival. They kept the display up due to priorities because of the chaos at the festival and could then show the election winner with it. Now that’s over and they have reconstructed the lion fountain of the stored materials. If you had any idea of the lore, the lion fountain is a main symbol of Lion’s Arch and the unification of the races. Every race contributed something to the statue. That’s why it’s important and that’s why it’s there again instead of the holoprojector.

ANet has clearly stated that festivals won’t be recycled. They will happen yearly, but they will always be renewed. Yes, Mad King Thorn may appear at the same place. By then the fountain may have been deconstructed since lessions have been learnt. Either way, no matter how you speculate, you can’t use it as an argument because it has not happened. What on the other hand has happened is that ANet has clearly said that even achievements may not return and even less they will recycle the festivals.

Call me ignorant if you wish, but at least I read up on things (or in this case, explore things and actually am there) before I open my mouth and make an idiot out of myself.
What they did in Guild Wars doesn’t matter. It’s a new game, It’s a new team and it’s a new concept, idea and policy.
Furthermore I recently sold some 7 year birthday presents in GW1 that I had gotten on my characters and I’ve been here and completed every living story achievement there was except for the 8 Liadri orbs and some gambits since the gauntlet will return with the same achievements anyways. So your accusation that I have been inactive or anything is quite wrong.
You’re conveniently ignoring everything in order to be able to rant.
If anything, I’d call you ignorant.

We HAVE seen Southsun and the Labyrinthine Cliffs. A large part of Divinity’s Reach HAVE been reworked as have Southsun.

You’re conveniently missing out the donations to the rebuilding and to the strengthening of the Lionguard. The Lion statue didn’t pop up from nowhere, it was rebuilt and that during a longer period.
You’re failing to see that there are new permanent minigames.
You’re ranting about things you don’t even know.
You’re arguing that events are going to be recycled before you even know.
ANet has said that that is not the case.
You left and you missed it. Boo hoo. Poor you.

And if it’s not “hard” to make Super Adventure Box, you really need to read up on how game developing works. Furthermore it’s not “8-bit-stuff”. It’s a fully 3-dimensional game world that needs concept, design, textures, models, music, sounds, scripting, artificial intelligence. It needs the complete construction of the actual environment, it needs balancing, testing, rebuilding, rebalancing, retesting etc.
And I’ve still probably forgotten something.
That it contains alot of 90-degree corners doesn’t make it any easier. There are countless tools to make terrain effortlessly where you literally pull out a mountain with your mouse and it looks all smooth and nice.

Furthermore it’s alot easier to make content for Guild Wars than for Guild Wars 2.
Guild Wars lacks functions that are vital to Guild Wars 2, for example jumping. Just a small thing like that affects the whole world and makes it alot more complicated to make because you have to take it into account when you’re making the world.
“Should the player be able to jump up this hill? No? Then how do we make it natural, without invisible walls and still disallow jumping up it?”

That said.
I’m not arguing for or against ANet’s choices or priorities.
Yes, I’d like more permanent stuff and more stories and more content and better content and nice reworks etc.
But your basing your rants on stuff you have no idea at all how they work. You’re not reading up and thus missing information that you ignore. You’re pretty much the prime example of how not to argue and that’s why I’m writing this.

Read up.
Take both sides of the coin into account.
Base your arguments on fact, not fiction.

My question is why they changed Tequatl at all. Zhaitan has been killed hundreds of thousands of times and risen should be getting weaker rather than stronger and there has to be more to it than just updating the pattern of a single world boss.
Sure he is boring and lacks character as is, but it has been for a year and it could have changed alot earlier.
They didn’t update Shatterer, who has about the same boring attack pattern, with slight changes.
And Tequatl -is- the champion of the elder dragon we’re currently fighting.
I think there’s more to it than just updating the pattern of a world boss.

sad fact it might be this chapter is all sab. can someone expl;ain how sab ties into the living story or do the devs have no clue at all

Living story has different story arcs in it.
There’s the yearly events that doesn’t seem to have any tie to anything other than the event itself (possibly apart from Queen’s Jubilee depending on how you count that).

There’s the molten and aetherblade storylines that now are tied together.

There’s the Southsun storyline.

There’s the Council storyline.

The Bazaar may be yearly but it could also be a storyline in itself later on, thinking of their connection to the Crystal Desert and Glint. However it tied in with the Council a bit.

There might be something else that I’ve forgot.
But lastly there’s also the SAB storyline.
The SAB didn’t have alot of story at first, but now you get to know a bit more about Moto and his former krewe and stuff that you get to see after you “Win Super Adventure Box”. Not alot, but a bit and I assume there will be more of that later on.
However, the Super Adventure Box is an educational tool for teaching non-linear thinking and problemsolving. Seemingly mainly for asuran children, but possibly also for the rest of Tyria. We are Moto’s testers as he builds and programs it.

But basically, Living Story isn’t a single story but several different ones.

There are quite a few hints that a path is trapped.
“Oh look, there’s spikes -on top- of the log… but both diagonal sides on it are free from traps.”
There’s a nice pattern in where the fake floor, with lava and spikes under, is too.
Usually obvious when you can see it.

About foreshadowing.. It can work to your disadvantage too.
If you were an evil mastermind that’s actually somewhat sane for once..
Would you throw out alot of hints that you were behind several attacks or would you stay as hidden as you could until you unveil the main act?
In my case it would be the second.
You shouldn’t be aware of what hits you before it hits you. Otherwise you could prepare for it and counter it and that wouldn’t be very good.

On the other hand I’m not sure whether that applies to this story.
Scarlet isn’t sane.

But my point is that I’d rather have it with real logics than with movie logics where the villain throw hints all around him/her. And keeps the hero hostage and avoids killing him/her with the purpose of him/her being able to get away…

However as you guys say it still requires planning and as you guys say I can agree that it feels a bit like the story is written as you go.

In ANet’s defense, they’re still pretty new to the living story and might not have that much to go on yet.

It would be interesting to know how the story is actually written.
They have 4 living story teams if I remember it right. But do all these then get together and write stories or do it on their own according to common guidelines or is there a separate story group that they will need to listen to?
I think that the story could benefit from having a separate group that takes care of the story and the 4 groups do the implementation of the story rather than having all 4 groups coming up with their own story for each update. Then again I don’t know how they are working at all.

Living Story Lore vehicle needed.

I think that more books in carts could be good, but alot of people are lazy with reading after being spoiled with speech dialogs. I do think however that books would be in line with the world and how it is built. It makes sense that people would write books and many lore-thirsty players would read them, take them into account and make them more easilly accessible to other players in various forms.

Another idea would be asuran audio matrices. It would cost you alot more to put into the game since you need voice acting and recording. But basically they would be audio books. So in other words they’d apply to a wider audience but would sadly cost more time, resources and money. Portals and waypoints are everywhere and asuran people seem to interact neutrally (well… they’re at least not trying to kill you) with everyone and it makes sense that people would access audio matrices. They also already have video recording devices so why not audio, which would be easier.

Video logs would be very neat for living story, but would of course require alot of time and money. They are already in the game in Metrica Province at asuran labs that have recorded messages and stuff. But as they would be expensive for you, they probably would be for the tyrian people too.

Marjory’s Journal as someone mentioned before was very nice. The problem is that it takes up an inventory slot and was given to the people that completed the storyline. Items like that could be given / sold / whatever in a library.

It’s my very good pleasure to meet you, as well. I’m glad you enjoyed Brute Force. It holds a special place in my heart. I’m very proud of it’s unique squad-based gameplay. I only wish it would have sold more copies but I suppose that is a wish shared by most developers in regards to their creations. ; )

To sell some games you need to get down from your high horses and face reality from it’s own level.
Comments like “You have me to thank for your career” only makes you look bad and earn you disgust and boycott.
And to accuse Bobby Stein of condescension when he talks in plain normal down-to-earth english as one human being to another shows you that you have to take some focus away from yourself and see how the world really works.

Personally I think he has some very valid points that I think you fail to see because you’re too full of yourself.
.
.
.
Back on topic. You can’t catch all details about the story if you aren’t looking for them. Wooden Potatoes on youtube really shows how much story you can get out of GW2 once you actually look for it.
Not everything is written in plain text, some things are shown with throwing in Aetherblades with Steam Creatures or calling Shodd an Admiral.
Some things are said by NPCs that walk around randomly and don’t seem to have any significance.

I won’t say that I’m satisfied with the amount of lore I’ve gotten because I’m thirsty. But I’ll wait patiently and see what happens.
I do however agree completely that Canach seems pretty forgotten. But something might turn up later, what do I know.

But the main point is that you can’t get it all at once.

Now I understand that the people working at ANet are not kittens and they are probably much better than me at programming and a post like this can, by some, possibly be seen as some elitist way to say “I’m better than you and you suck”. This post is not written to make any sorts of claims, offense or anything. I am not writing this to ridicule any of you, but to hopefully give you ideas on how it can be done incase the reason that it has not yet been implemented is the lack of ideas. I am not claiming that you don’t have any ideas either, it’s just that I think the game needs an ownerless instance system so badly that I’m willing to write this whole wall of text in hope that it might, if anything, be at least the seed for it if nothing.
I also understand that my assumptions about the game as it is can be completely wrong and in that case my ideas won’t work at all.
Then again you might already be working on an ownerless instance system and in that case I hope it is coming soon and I wish you good luck.
.

Thank you for an otherwise great game and please make an ownerless instance system soon. I will sadly be playing my tribulation mode either as instance owner or alone until then

Instance owner --> Removed/Rotating ownership

Mikuchan.7261

Ok, so I raged out a bit when my friend got disconnected in SAB tribulation mode 90% into the map and he left party to start anew. Turns out it was his instance and I was thrown out meaning I have to redo it all.
This is not that big an issue in dungeons since people can rejoin.
However in dungeons the problem is ragequitters and votekicking the instance owner and possibly some form of disconnecting too, not sure.
It is especially annoying if the instance owner is an kitten that leaves before everyone has got the end reward chest and stuff like that.
Removing the ownership or rotating it has the pro of removing all of these current cons. I can’t see any con with removing it other than rewriting the current system, which I understand can take some time and resources.
The only difference I see is that the instance owner can leave, disconnect or get kicked without the rest of the party raging.
Rotating ownership is unnecessary since no owner is required, but would likely be an easier fix seeing as the system is currently based on having an owner.
.
.
.
Today I assume the instance owner is needed to know which party goes where. I wouldn’t assume it’s needed to specifically deal with any exploits because I can’t really see any and other than that I can’t really see any reason to use an instance owner.
Instead of using the instance owner as an identification for this, once you enter the dungeon “door” in order to get the menu with the options for the dungeon (story mode, exploration mode etc), the player or dungeon object could send an inquiry to the party object to check if any other party members are in the dungeon and if they are, you’re given a choice to join them (or cancel the dialog).
So if no party members are in the dungeon and you enter, an instance is created without owner and the party member opening it is moved inside.
I assume that you have a way for the environment to detect when a player has disappeared either by logging out, losing connection or leaving the area. If not, you could either add a timer for checking it in the dungeon instance or add a message that goes out to some information bus or the instance controller when the player object is deleted from the area.
Thus you know when a player leaves and thus you know how many and what players are inside of the dungeon. You could double check this for added security with a timer.
Then when the last player leaves, the dungeon instance is deleted.
Now what if 2 or more players open the entry dialog and have them open at the same time? Then you have a security check if an instance is already created for the party by checking if any player is inside the dungeon and if so, instead of creating a new, just send the guy to that instance or give him a message that an instance is created and have him try again.
If the reward system uses the instance owner to check who should get a reward, instead have it check what people hit the last boss or what people were in the area when it died. This system supports that.
.
.
.?
So when someone decides to leave the party while being inside the dungeon? Then kick that specific person from the dungeon. Whoever presses “leave” is the one who is kicked. Contrary if someone is kicked, that specific person is of course the one who is kicked.
There is a problem if there are only 2 people left because either one can kick the other and take control of the instance. You need to be able to kick the other player in order to be able to kick someone who has went afk for example. But it also means you can steal the dungeon. However in that case, let the victim report it and take actions on the people who steal dungeons. The benefits from removing the instance owner is too large for that to matter in my book.
No other party can join the same instance, they’ll just get their own dialog. All party members can join the instance and whenever they want, just as today.
The instance is deleted when no party members are left inside.
You can exploit it as much / as little as today (as far as I know).
.
.
.
An idea for rotating ownership, of course depends on how ownership is currently handled.
I hope that the instance is not a sub-object of the owner’s player-object because that would naturally mean that we have a problem with owner rotation unless the whole instance is copied to the next owner with the current state saved.
However if the owner is stored as a flag in the instance object/controller or if the instance ID is stored in the owner’s player object ( would be kinda weird?), you should be able to just change that.
So when the owner leaves for whatever reason, instead of kicking people out, check if anyone is left inside the dungeon and if so, transfer the ownership. Otherwise just destroy the instance.
This again poses the problem with the 2 players as described above. But again the problem is solved in the same way as above.

The skill Moto’s Finger is:
When the screen turns all foggy and you have goats jumping on platforms, after the ice wall to the right is a cloud that’s barely visible. Jump on it and keep to the right until you get to a cloud that is almost 45-90 degrees to the right. After that, keep to the left and you’ll end up on 3 clouds in front of a mouth that you can open with the Mouth-Opening-Tune that I have forgot the name of.
I’m not entirely sure about the path but I remember it like that. Inside the mouth is 50 baubles and if you blow up the wall in the back you get to a room filled with red barrels and there’s your scroll with the elite skill.

Feel free to tip me :P

Also for some reason the spoiler tag didn’t work, so deal with it

The elite skill is Moto’s Finger and it’s located after some serious sadism and flute skill in W2 Z3.
You need the song from Z2 that opens mouth-doors.

In the first adventure, all shops counted as secret rooms.

I have all secret rooms for 2-2 and the second elite wasn’t there.
However I cannot remember all of the rooms, sorry.

So far I’m missing the wallet upgrade from 2-3 and the second elite that I have no idea where it is.

Easy mode 31/33?

I finished it with just 29 points and I followed the route completely.
I noticed on the last boss that I jumped over one “check” for the points due to the waypoint jumping when I died and went through the waypoint a second time.
I assume that this is the case for some of the other points to and that’s really bad if it is.
The areas that you have to pass through to get the points need to be made so big that you cannot miss them no matter how you do it.

Since infantile mode isn’t fun for me in any way as I’m doing it just for completion, I don’t really feel like redoing it until this is fixed.

It really would be logical if they did…
But ANet has said that most achievements will be replaced by new ones for rotating festivities so it’s not certain.
Also, we who made them already naturally want new ones and ANet probably knows that.
Then again we get that with world 2 and hardmode

A comment on 38.
It is nice to be able to target allies to be able to mark them in order to for example have a leader that everyone follows. Useful to bring bosses to places.
It’s alro nice to be able to mark dead people so that live party members more easilly can see them and ress them faster.

That said, it is kinda annoying when you target allies in a zerg instead of targeting the enemy. So some fix to that could be nice.

More developed villain for the future.

So Ellen wasn’t “randomly thrown together” the first time we saw her? She was even supposed to have been a guy https://twitter.com/Peter_Fries/status/364467076582227968.

This is the first time we see Scarlet and since she Spoilerescapes we will see more of her in the future.

How are you supposed to introduce a character, villan or not, if you don’t create the character first and show it to the people? Are you suggesting you show the character to the people before it even exists?

I agree with that Orr should grow lush green with time.
Living world updating is the answer.
However I disagree with “phasing”, that’s just a terrible design flaw.
I think Zaithan needs to permanently get killed off first… Which is about time… And then we can get our lush green Orr.

This is the best thread ever.
I have suggested a few things of these myself like the gear swap, and consume all.
I agree with most of the things here and think that this thread should be printed and put up on every dev’s desk.
However I would like to add some things to one of the points and add a point that is kind of related.

Change: 22. Salvage kit removes upgrade AND SKIN
Or another salvage kit that resets the skin and gives you a consumable skin.

Add: 33 Buy X items from a vendor
Useful for for example consumables like spy kits, that you need to buy many of.
Chef and other craft items.
Alcohol for achievemnt (need some 25000 items or something).
And probably more.

Is there a reverse option for tokens?

What you’re looking for is “resell” and not “rebuy”. If you buy something from a vendor, you can’t resell it. If you sell something to a vendor, you can rebuy it. There’s a difference.

What you are doing is that you are buying armor from the vendor and when you’ve done that, why would the vendor want to take the armor back?
You even get a confirmation window where it asks you if you really want to buy the item.
So I really think it’s your problem if you buy something that you can’t use.

That said, I think that the confirmation window could be a bit more specific and tell you that you’re trying to buy an item that doesn’t fit on your character if that’s the case. (You may still want to buy it for example for the mystic forge or whatever).
Like the normal text asking if you want it and then a red text noting that "You cannot use this item because … ".

It does show how much gold 100 gems are and vice versa in the diagram below the currency exchange depending on what tab you enter.

It shows the current value and the highest and lowest value the last few days.

Minipet slot

in Suggestions

Posted by: Mikuchan.7261

Mikuchan.7261

Not really anything important, but the current minipet system is a bit lacking.
To bring out a minipet you have to doubleclick it in the inventory.
The main problems with that is that either you forget to do it or you’re too lazy to do it. And on top of that, if you usually send collectibles to the bank, the minipet goes with them unless it’s kept in an invisible bag. But get an invisible bag just for one minipet.. And then have to fill it up with items so that no other item that is supposed to get sold or deposited ends up in it by mistake. That’s a bit overly complicated.

The solution would be a simple Minipet slot in the equipments tab of the hero menu.
Then you can also have options for when to show the minipet and it automatically gets taken out when it’s supposed to be shown according to the set rules.

Now, minipets aren’t the main part of the game. And it’s probably not what should be the main focus of the dev team.
But why have minipets if it’s complicated to keep them in the inventory and use them?
The solution is hopefully not that hard to implement either seeing as the menus are probably made pretty modular and most of the code needed exists in other places of the game.

"One Legacy Armor"?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Mikuchan.7261

What I gather, the thing people are complaining about is
“I own the Digital Deluxe version.
However I have not got the
Suit of Legacy Armor
Mithril Box
and
10 Experience Boosters
that are all part of it nowadays.”
https://buy.guildwars2.com/en/

Which I think is a fair point.
Since it is part of the Digital Deluxe version, they should retroactively add it to the account of the players who bought the Digital Deluxe version from before the change.

If the Digital Deluxe did NOT contain these items, then meh. In that case you can’t ask for them. But now the Digital Deluxe DOES and the fair thing would be to let the people with Digital Deluxe actually have the full Digital Deluxe and not part of it.

About the remodelling of skins and putting them on new items.. That’s not really part of this thread.
The “Legacy Armor” is not a unique HoM armor and this version of the game does not include a fellblade. Go make a new thread about that.

Offencive Weapon Skin Symbolism

You eat pigs, you offend muslims.
You eat cows, you offend hinduists.
You don’t put your children to death when they swear at you, then you offend christians (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Leviticus+20%3A9&version=ESV).
You happen to accidentally kill a bug by walking in the grass, then you offend buddhists.

Really.. It has gotten to the point where I simply don’t care anymore.
If I want a goat, I get a goat and then if you get offended by me playing with my goat, your problem.
If I want to eat cows or pigs, I do so.

That’s called freedom of religion and freedom of speech.
Your symbolism can’t rule me and it will not rule me.

And if we’re gonna discuss religion, The theory of everything (I believe it is) allows anything to be created without the need of a creator and still abiding to the laws of nature as we know them.
A universe can pop into existence from nothing. Positive energy is created spontaneusly but an equal amount of negative energy is also created to maintain the sum of 0.

So no god is needed to explain the universe, no symbolism is needed, the universe can be explained by a scientific theory that abides to the laws of nature as we know them.
Thus, your religion and symbolism offends me since I think they are untrue. But I won’t ask you to stop believing in santa because we have a freedom of religion and a freedom of speech and that’s how I want it because that’s democratic.

OOC weapon, armor (and trait) swap

in Suggestions

Mikuchan.7261

Most classes has weapon swap in-combat and most classes may see this as sufficent.
Elementalists for example can only have one weapon set and if they want to use another, they have to go into the inventory and manually equip them.
Still, nobody can swap gear without going into inventory.

I personally would pay alot of gems (i wouldn’t mind it being free still) for being able to swap weapons and gear out of combat via a shortcut, perhaps F5-F8.
It would be even better if I could save some trait sets that I could swap between.
Swapping builds this way would help alot to bring more diversity to a dungeon or other fight without too much hassle.

You can already change build out-of-combat so it’s nothing game-breaking.
But this change would make it alot easier and more people would do it and thus be more helpful when it’s needed.
You can swap to the aoe-build when zerging WvW and then you can swap to your 1v1 nuke when you run around in wvw and scout. Entering a dungeon you can swap to your survivability gear or whatever you prefer.

I do understand that this suggestion would demand alot of rewriting the engine, but you can sell slots and make alot of money on it. (Could keep 2 slots free and then sell up to x slots perhaps). On top of that, it would satisfy alot of players who are currently digging in their inventory for their gear swap and wasting time for the party that has to wait for them.

Buy x of an item from vendor

in Suggestions

Posted by: Mikuchan.7261

Mikuchan.7261

Not too advanced and shouldn’t be very hard to implement.

Right clicking an item at a vendor that is stackable should give you the option to click on Buy X. When you do, you get a input box for a number where you write the number of items you want to buy. This should preferably work with more than 250 items, thus creating several stacks in inventory. Check number of inventory slots, predict number of stacks, either complain about too few slots or take money/karma and give items.

Especially useful for:
Consumable vendors like spy kits, elemental dust etc.
Crafting vendors, especially cooking ingredient vendors.
The alcohol vendors, for the thirst slayer acheievement (you have to double click tens of thousands of times to buy all alcohol).

Right click - Use All

in Suggestions

Posted by: Mikuchan.7261

Mikuchan.7261

A very simple but very useful suggestion.
It should be fairly simple to implement it too.

I think that it would be very useful to be able to right click on a stack of items and get the option to use all.
Clicking the option will consume / use all items in the stack.

This is very useful for:
The new extremely small but plenty karma drips and drops.
Other karma bottles you stack up on.
Opening bags (open all until inventory is full, then stop opening. Could use a while-loop or predict the number of inventory spaces)
The thirst slayer achievement where you need to double click tens of thousands of times.

Doubleclicking is very tiresome and we who play this game are nerds. We aren’t used to this kind of workout. Please give us Use All on right click.
