How was it made harder?

“Capture the Zhaitan research Lab” event got far more health. Now you need at least 2 people.
A lot of other events spawn more mobs as well.

'Leveling' is an archaic concept.

1. No, just no, high level players would kill off half the population of low level zones and low level players would have problems leveling or participating in events. High level players don’t go to do low level events you say? How about map events? The Maw? Ele? A low of people would get no recognition for participating because they couldn’t even get a hit in.
2. Bad idea as well. How many people would attempt to kill dragons when they can’t even kill a bear? Low level areas train you, prepare you, so you could go up. It doesn’t mean that if you managed to get a dragon down getting a bear down will be a flick of a finger.

and why would u even bother with coe in 2013?

because
a) challenge is good
b) armor of CoE is not worn by everyone like armor from CoF
c) pretty skins and good training for arah

hahah challenge in coe… its only challenging if you’ve never done it and your whole team is nab (never done it too). About armor, unless you weren’t playing at all in the passed 7-8months the game was released you should’ve gotten it months ago. If you seriously think coe is worth doing to ‘farm’ charged stuff (especially lodestones) LOL. Go kill sparks and even with their pathetic drop rare of lodestones you’ll get them more often than in laughable coe chests. If you want challenge go pug lev40+ fotm and see sup.

because, you know, those alts that you’re bringing up… You should have prepared gear for them before even making them! Yeah. That’s a good thing.
Yes, I find CoE interesting in mechanics and challenging. There’s parts of it that I absolutely love (the laser jumping part is really god kitten fun). Not all of us like Fotm you know.

DAS WACIST, AWW YUU WACIST?

Like I said before, I think it looks nice. If they were to remove that, they’d probably have to add a Mesmer butterfly removal, but it would actually be a tad bit overpowered because all spells have some sort of noticeable cast animation/particle based on what spell it is and your profession.

the spell itself has an effect that has an animation. Mesmer butterfly effect doesn’t go trough the item, it’s just an aura kind of thing. The scythe effect is the only effect in the game that actually cuts trough the new item.

Actually, to add on to my previous post, these same friends told me about how they had to continue to run the gear treadmill, and that guilds would have mods that they would run to monitor what your dps was for instance, or even how well the healers were healing, and if you were under or OVER healing, you were kicked from the guild.

Lord, that sounds like hell to me. I cannot fathom participating in that level of elitism; if that’s what WOW is like, why in the name of god would anyone find pleasure in playing it (other than similar elitists of course).

That’s what I love about GW2 so much; the gear treadmill is pretty flat; the addition of Ascended gear was a bit of a mistake, but they have mitigated it with the ability to purchase these items now with things like laurels and guild commendations.

And although a small amount of elitism has crept into the corners – I’m hearing stories now of speed COF runs requiring people to bring specific classes and to link their gear, and if they dont match the ideal stats getting kicked – it appears to be mostly on the sidelines, and therefore not effecting the average player.

Now, I AM a bit bored with the end game content… meaning that there isn’t much per se. They need to improve that.

However, overall, I’m quite pleased with the game, and find it the best MMO design thus far.

You shouldn’t believe everything you hear, if you join an elitist guild, you agree to the terms, full stop.
In WoW I was never kicked from a group due to lack of gear or because I was a certain class, in GW2 I have.

you never attempted a high level raid then.

No, sorry, I have.

then you were required to at least have tier 5 before joining. Also you were required to be a certain type of a class. For example DPS druids had problems getting groups because they wanted tanks with stamina and not agility even. It’s people that do it. And all MMOs had elitist groups. WoW is no exception. Neither is GW2.

Sorry, that is an elitist guild. I never said there weren’t any, only that what he said wasn’t exactly true. I’ve even been in guilds that offered to carry me through raids to get gear on another character so I can raid on that.

you mean trough lower level raids? That’s what most guilds in WoW do not just elitist ones.

The animosity comes more strongly from the wow community saying they play the best game of all time and it will always be gold. I just wanted some clear heads on the subject. My friend not being one of them lol. Wows dungeons are more boring and afk in my opinion. They didnt create paths and each dungeon got boring after 3 runs. Gw offers alot more replayability. And they hold difficulty. I tanked all wow dungeons half asleep.

GW2 had the first dungeon that actually has a boss you can afk during the entire encounter, doesn’t get much more boring then that. It’s a matter of opinion.

which one? I’m just curious.

Twilight Arbor – Nightmare tree. He only attacked melee and there where no spiders, so people just power rushed it and took breaks auto attacking the boss. It was fixed eventually, but it stayed bugged for far to long.

thought so. I think that you can still do it if you stand on a branch in the right place.
Though WoW did it too. Onyxia – if you backed her up into a wall she wouldn’t attack. And Murmur at one point had a range bug so you could just stand far away and shoot him to death.

I haven’t logged into wow for months, so I can’t commentate on what they did for April fools.
To give my two cents on both games the reason why I quit wow and went GW2 is because:
1. A new more active combat system that I love
2. No gear grind
3. All content is optional (I can do dungeons, but I’m not forced to do dungeons because I can just buy exotics off the trade post and not be below other people at WvW)
4. Better drop rates
5. Living events. I remember the world changing at cataclysm in Warcraft. It changed and then it stopped. GW2 seems much more alive when events can just spawn on you in PVE
6. This will sound silly, but map bosses are bigger in size than anything warcraft had. I know that size shouldn’t be a judge factor, but seeing those dragons just feels so epic.
7. No subscription fee.
If WoW went off the subscription fee maybe I would play it again. WoW has nice humor (like GW2), the quiesting system is friendly for friends (objectives are shared), the world looks nice (like in GW2), but that’s about it. I know that I will never be on par with people running the newest raid, so why should I pay monthly to attempt to catch up to the impossible so I could PvP on equal grounds?

2. There’s LESS grinding in GW2.

You’re funny. Hilarious, actually. You could reach max level in Guild Wars 1 in less than a day (with Factions) and have enough money for max gear shortly thereafter.

The required grind of Guild Wars 1 was negligible. Non-existant, even, unless you count the title grind elitists created for HA and elite dungeons – not a consequence of game mechanics so much as the community.

That is not to say that I feel Guild Wars 2 is grindy – Guild Wars 2’s grind is mostly self-imposed, but to say that Guild Wars 2 has less required grind than Guild Wars 1 did is absurd.

so you’re saying that GW1 has no content because you beat it in a day?

Guild Transport nerf?

What the hell? My small guild of 4-5 members use this often when we get a chance to play together.
We don’t stand a chance getting any merits from guild missions and we’ve just resolved the fact that the weenie small bounty reward of influence is all we’ll ever get.
NOW you’ve completely alienated small guilds in this game with cutting off guild transports for us. I can’t believe this!!
I’m getting more tired of getting the anet shaft with each passing patch and starting to regret buying this game as well as convincing a lot of friends to as well.
Rethink this please!!!!!

Quite a change in requirements huh? Convenient for Arenanet that small/medium guilds that were used to using that feature now have it taken away from them for a period of time that could be conveniently cut short by… :drumroll:… paying real cash

Amazing how that works out, isn’t it?

I wonder how paying real cash shortens the time it takes to access the guild vault.

Cash-gems-gold-guild influence-purchase guild upgrades. Still have to get the commendations though.

Did an edit while you were typing that, but at face value that makes sense.

gems to cash is so not worth it. The amount that you get is so small that it makes no difference.

watched a review for The Secret World and in my opinion it’s pretty kitten horrible
- walking in it is a weird mechanic
- crafting is overly complex
- you can’t really re-spec, so if you go somewhere you didn’t want to you’re stuck with it
It has been said that The Secret World would have been a great single player game, but doesn’t really work as an MMO.

Frankly, Guild Wars 1 had a lot of mechanics that should have been copied – should always be copied. Its flawless guild system, highly competitive pvp, convenient server system, large number of skills + flexible skill system, and lack of grind were all features that somehow got lost in translation from Guild Wars 1 to Guild Wars 2.

The foundation of the first game with the combat, dynamic events, beautiful open world, friendly loot system, (an improved version of the) personal story, playerbase, and engine of Guild Wars 2 would have been…. just perfect.

1. You have about the same amount of skills you had in GW1 when it had no expansions. People tend to forget that most skills got introduced with expansions and GW2 is still on vanilla version.
2. There’s LESS grinding in GW2.

How to get Agony Resistance before FotM 10?

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Posted by: Mirta.5029

Mirta.5029

You could save up Laurels to buy an Ascended accessory from the Laurel vendors, and then buy a Simple Infusion from the Fractal Relic merchant. That will give you +5 AR, which actually helps quite a bit. (EDIT: though I read your post again, oops. No, there’s no other way.)

Otherwise, it is very possible to just fight the Maw at level 10 with no AR. You just have to stand somewhere safe in case you get downed and heal yourself as much as possible. That’s the only situation in which Agony is unavoidable- for other bosses, you just have to be good at dodging.

Id like to see anyone besides the most seasoned of pro’s dodge the Lava Bird’s Agony Arrow always. To say a total newcomer to fotm (If you have 0 ar you are) can simply “dodge agony on all other ocasssions” is a true, but highly unlikely.

Secondly, the bosses also can trig agony if you melee, if he is a melee class, he will get agony way easier. To dodge agony on per say, Captain Ashym, he would be forced into ranged combat.

This is also assuming he makes perfect use of endurance, and for lets say Dredge Suit end boss, where you need to double dodge everytime to avoid agony, if he dodged 1 time before that, he would be applied agony.

Sure its POSSIBLE, but your team will be 1. carrying you 2. you will be burdening them slightly if you die

Defianatly doable, but why make the game harder for yourself?

before laurels were out we ALL ran level 10 without resistance. And it wasn’t considered “being carried by the team”. When I run level 10 dailies I don’t specifically ask for experienced people, so a lot of the times we still get people running it first time. And it’s fine.
Plus if he ever wants to run really high level fractals it’s a good practice to learn to dodge agony.

running CoE regularly. Between 4PM (Uk time) and midnight, there’s normally about 5-6 groups on GW2LFG looking for more constantly. When I put out my LFG’s it takes about 5 minutes to get the team.
CoE is a difficult dungeon. I enjoy high difficulty, but not a lot of people do. If you need money and not skins, you’re better off farming CoF, if you feel that difficult runs are fun and want some skins that are rarer to see.

@Fyrebrand. THANK YOU. You “got” what I was trying to say.

Defrost: “ANY NEWLY CREATED CHARACTER HAS TO WAIT 24 HOURS, before accessing the SAB.”

I’m for this idea, even if it’s a slippery slope.

I’m not sure how this could end up a slippery slope.

However, creating a character you never intended to keep just so you can delete it as soon as you finish this one activity kind of crosses the line into scummy, unsporting “meta-game” manipulation.

E~X~A~C~T~L~Y

…but I do think ArenaNet should make an effort to discourage nonsense like that…
…but behaviours that play the system rather than play the game

Exactly. Currently they are promoting abnormal behaviour, with the potential for botting. A 24 hour wait period to access the SAB, for newly created characters is an easy, elegant solution.

And to address the ability to delete character farm Black Lion Keys…
1) Yes, I know that Anet has specifically come out and said that doing this is not an exploit.
2) But Anet were complete short-sighted “geniuses” to make that a reward for completing your level 10 Personal Story.
3) It should be immediately be moved to AT LEAST a level 20 P.Story reward, to slow down those people who do farm them. At least make it take longer than the current 45-60 minutes it takes to get a BL Key. If it were moved to a level 20 P.Story reward, the player would have to level their character higher than level 5-6 AND would have to travel across a larger portion of the map to get the key.

1. tell me why do you want to make life harder for people? (Especially regarding BL keys)
2. If you notice bots in PVE can’t separate enemies from bosses and don’t jump. What will they farm? Infantile mode?

I dont think you should be able to do this but there is no impact on others that some one does this.

Exactly. It is not working as intended, but apart from looking shinier (a bit faster) than other players, there are no advantages to it.

1) Even if it’s only 1/50 chance for a skin to drop from a chest, you can STILL make money on the TP selling the skins.

As a ROUGH comparison…
2a) It takes 2,100 karma for 1 Shard. I have no idea how long that takes in Orr.
b) It take 3 days to get an 3 Obsidian Shards, via laurels. Let’s say, 1 day for 1 Shard.
c) It takes 15 Fractal Relics to get 1 Shard. Let’s say 3 Fractals @ level 10 = 45 minutes for 1 Shard. OR say, 60 minutes for 4 Shards, if you do the Jade Maw + Daily Chest.
d) It takes about 11 minutes, from character creation to the 2nd boss chest to get FOUR Shards.
e) There are similar comparisons for Crystals & Philosopher’s Stones.

There can be an impact on the economy, even if only a small one, if people are getting “lucky” with skins dropping from chests. And for Obsidian Shards, Crystals and Philosopher’s Stones, it’s not “a bit faster”… it’s A LOT faster to get them with delete character farming.

1. The skins will run out after the 30th
2. Nobody stops you from using the technique to farm ACCOUNT BOUND items used in mystic forge or for legendaries only.

Players ARE able to get what they want.

If you want a Staff for your Elementalist. You can EASILY get it.

Now, if you want a Staff for your Elementalist, a Shield for your Engineer, 2 Swords for your Warrior, a Greatsword for your Guardian, a Scepter for your Mesmer, a Shortbow for your Thief and a Longbow for your Ranger, you had better be ready to WORK for it. Add on to that the fact that people always want their goodies now as opposed to later…

Understand?

That’s 7 characters. To get all of that for them I have to work and run with them each day. That takes infinitely more time than just running it with one character. And people do do so. Therefore they should get full rewards for it, like they do right now. What’s wrong with that?
Now delete farming characters – you take even MORE time and MORE work to get what you want faster. Why should you be disallowed from doing that?

doubtful, because at this point the price is set in stone for people having 1 character, 5 characters, 8 characters, etc. I don’t think that developers thought that a normal person would have 8 characters. They probably set the price having 1 character in mind, thinking that people would get the skins slowly.

I was responding specifically to…

I couldn’t compensate having more characters and fully outfit them with new skins, therefore being handicapped into buying the rest….

Adding in more characters that YOU want to outfit is YOUR choice. Arenanet is not responsible for spoonfeeding any choice that you make with their game. The weapon skins are easily accessible and my method was a simple fix to dissuade players from delete-farming, but there will always be hardcore players and it’s always nice to have an open mind to them instead of closing off 100%.

The reason why I’m making a semi-rude comment (it’s not supposed to be, it can just sound that way from a certain perspective, which I am not currently capable of seeing at the moment) is because you’re throwing in an angle and then expecting Arenanet to compensate in full.

You’re basically saying: “People can make Legendaries, but I want one for all my characters. Why should I work harder to get more..?”

Instead of: “People can make Legendaries, but I want one for all my characters. Now I’ll work harder to get more.”

If you want more, you want more.

Lastly, I don’t know if many of the people in this/these threads (this isn’t aimed at you specifically, it’s aimed at everyone) realize that delete-farmers reduce the price of the weapon skins. The greatsword used to be 40g. It’s now about half that price, as are all the other skins. Why..? Because people are farming it and getting the tradeable versions which then increase the supply without affecting the demand. preDpreH

and how is delete character farming NOT trying harder? You are saying that I should be limited to how much bobbles I can get because of how many characters I have and then limited on not being allowed to delete farm the thing. So essentially now you would be favoring a person that only has 1 or 2 characters. I have 8. I work hard on 8 to outfit 8, why should I get less for it?
Then furthermore I never seen the GS be 40G. When the instance just opened on Underworld server it was 8G. Now is 20G. The demand is high, the amount of people not running at all is high as well, the farmers are selling he skins now, supplying the demand that is there right now. A good thing. We have a limited supply of those skins having in mind that the event will only be there for 30 days. Want to make actual profit? Don’t worry about people buying skins now, when the supply is high, sell them when supply gets low.

like how engi’s stuck with the backpack, i guess necro is too stuck with those black particles..

I was thinking of buying a backpack for my engi. Can you post a pic to show what’s wrong with it? Please?

They’re stuck with a “Multitool Pack” when using certain kits. It adapts depending on the weapon type, so it’s not quite the same as the Universal one gained upon creation of an Engineer.

If you didn’t understand that:
Weapon kits give them backpacks that go on their back regardless of what they are wearing on their back (they both get shown, but will clip).

oh. Fair enough. If it’s only that I think I’ll still get a backpack for my engi then

Not sure if you understand the problem… basically, backpacks on Engineers are not seen. Think of getting The Anomaly on a Mesmer, then realizing it doesn’t show up on your clones/phantasms, only the real you. But it’s worse then that. As an Engineer, it will only show up on you if you’re not using a weapon kit.

that means that you can still show it off while standing in town areas. I agree that it should be changed, but I think that it’s still worth getting just to show off while you’re waiting for dungeons, standing in town areas ,etc.

I have 20+ alts. Your solution wouldn’t even phase me.

Instead, it was the fact I get bored farming.

Have a nice day!

But it would stop delete-farming.

Regardless, what they can do is also make a system where you get 10 bauble bubbles for the first time on your account per day, then an additional 1 per zone per character.

This way, hardcore farmers can still hardcore farm, and casual farmers aren’t THAT MUCH behind… unless the hardcore farmer spends all day farming, in which case they deserve to be ahead by a longshot.

I have 8 alts.
8 X 7 = 56
you would rather I only gotten
10 + 4 + (6X4) = 36
so that by the end of the month I couldn’t compensate having more characters and fully outfit them with new skins, therefore being handicapped into buying the rest….
Yeah, then I would need to buy a new character slot and start hard-core farming with character deletion.
So essentially you would FORCE me to extra character farm while you’re still allowed to just enjoy the game.
Yeah. No.

You realize that with any and all changes, Foreman said [t]he[y] would modify the price on items accordingly.

OP likes to sell his skins for a much higher price..
as in now, everyone can get the skins they want by themself without any gating..
so it only make sense to make gates for those skin prices to go up..
otherwise it will only plunge further..

a) So far out of 30 chests, I’ve not had any weapon skins drop from the chests. So nice try with that trolling.

b) What are you even talking about? I’m not talking about gating ANYTHING that you experience in a NORMAL WAY. Making a character, killing 2 bosses, and then deleting the character is NOT a normal way to play a game.

c) If Anet DOES add 24 hour wait time for NEWLY CREATED characters to access the SAB, all your current characters can STILL get all the baubles they want, to trade with Moto to get any skin (or other item they want).

d) You do realize there are bound and NON-bound skins?

and running the instance requires work, creating a new character requires time.
I don’t see why people willing to do this shouldn’t be allowed to.

Wrong ? I rather like it, personally. But it is good you posted the screenshots, it’ll help people make an informed choice

I would be okay with it if the scythe effect didn’t go trough the bird like that, was maybe invisible in the bird and properly exited trough its mouth? To me now it kind of looks like two weapons slapped together :/
Or it could just be blue! It would fit it perfectly then!
Or it could pixelate!
Well I just want some kind of change to make it seem fitting.

It just looks really wrong. If there was a way to exchange the effect to a different one, even if I would have to pay for it, I would.
Also this serves as a warning to other necros. Staff skin for the necro just looks wrong.

Delete character farming

Yeah. No.

1 in 50 means they intend for it to cost an average of about $56/skin.

You can not tell me that they wouldn’t make a lot more money just selling the skins for $10 to $15 each. There are likely 50 people who would pay $10 for every person who buys chests until they get a skin.

It really seems like it’s a non-ethical system just for the sake of thumbing one’s nose at ethics. Or, so one can have bragging rights when talking with other cash shop managers from other games. This really needs to just end.

I’d sell them for $10-$15 each, plus have them in chests at a 1 in 20 as an added value for BLC key purchasers. The same people who buy chests will continue to buy chests for the normal goodies and for the chance of getting a skin for less than the selling price if they get lucky. The ethical balance of the game is restored and people who want to spend ~$15 a month to support the game have something cool they can purchase.

It’s so simple it’s painful trying to figure out what some people at ANet are thinking.

go to the gem store. See all those pretty Halloween skins? Me neither. They won’t be selling these ones. But you’ll be able to get them off other people for insane amount of gold. So get them while you still can get them yourself.

Why Fix A Dungeon When You Can Just Nerf It?

I do agree that it’s silly that they increased the difficulty of AC (first “easiest” dungeon in the game) and did nothing with CoF.
Love the challenge and love running CoE myself, so I’m not going to complain about challenging things when they’re done right.

Now what OP seems to be complaining about is exploits. Exploits should be fixed. Yes, bosses are challenging. However they should be that way. I remember running CM a lot at one point. So many people would want to bypass the whole dungeon by wall walking… Never agreed with that no matter how unfair the game is. If you can’t beat the content fairly a) try until you do b) stop doing it, you shouldn’t wear the armor of a dungeon that you almost completely bypassed.

why did uncontesting of CoE was made harder?

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Posted by: Mirta.5029

Mirta.5029

CoE has a very long uncontest chain as it is. The last boss is impossible alone as it is. However why did some events before the end boss get a health increase? Like “Capture the Zhaitan research Lab”. I can’t burst him down alone anymore because apparently he needed more health.
At the same time I have to ask you – why uncontesting CoF got easier? You know that dungeon that’s so easy that everyone runs, that always has plenty of people to uncontest and doesn’t have a long event chain?

GW2 is like a good girlfriend who gives you space when you need it. WoW is like the bad ex who’s always keeping tabs on where you are. Just like good girlfriends are hard to find, GW2 is a rare gem in the MMO market. For all its flaws, it’s the best MMO on the market, just like the small imperfection that makes a girl interesting.

Unless you are trying to get ascended gear. Then she checks up on you every single day.

Also, that good girlfriend makes you roll a couple die to see if you get a good night kiss. Get 6-6 or get no kiss.

RNG in GW2 is more forgiving than any other MMO out there. What are your chances to get the exact piece of gear you need after a raid on WoW for example?
Plus now imagine you didn’t have to roll. Everyone got everything. What would happen to the market?

I’m telling you, ANet’s RNG uses those last 4 digits appended to your account name as a seed. Which basically means you’re stuck with whatever luck you got from the beginning! Certainly would explain the consistently bad luck I have :P

Do you have evidence to back up this claim? I’m legitimately curious if this is true, because it would explain a hell of a lot.

it’s obviously a conspiracy theory. A company would never distribute resources to create different RNG for every single player. Can you even imagine how much work that would be?
1/50 chance means that you only have 2% chance to loot a skin. Even if it was 50% you could still be unlucky and never get it. It’s a chance.

Id like to know if people are getting their weapon skins running solo or with groups? Since the last patch I haven’t seen a skin drop, and pre-patch I received multiple skins both solo and grouped. Currently I speed run the instance, but I’m debating joining a party with my lack of drops lately…

Also what level character are you getting your skins on? I had received skins on both lvl 80’s and not, but my dry spell continues… lets work out the variables people!

Finally Understand who GW2 Demographic is!

Mirta.5029

I’ve finally realised why I can’t enjoy or begin to enjoy this game even though it’s amazing and is in my favorite genre.

I’m not the demographic at which they are aiming for.

With the “Super Box Adventure” commercial I realised GW2 is made for the 35 year old gamers, or gamers generally older than me in their late 20s to 30s, who love this nostalgic feeling of 8bit games and bad american commercials. I didn’t grow up with this so to me it’s just not something I can relate to on any level.

With no time constrains and content available to anyone at any skill level, they are aiming this game at ppl who have a wife and possibly kids, gamers who don’t have that much time in the day to actually play games in general, in another term casual players who don’t have all the hours in the day to play. That isn’t me i’m not a casual gamer, I have hours for college work (not uni), and games. I’m not constrain by casual hours.

I’m not looking for an arcade game or an adventure game to play, a 8 bit platformer or a platformer in general. I’m looking to play an mmorpg. Mini games are fun but when the bulk of my fun from the game is coming from mini games, i might aswell be playing a real adventure, platformer or arcade game than a water downed version of such in an MMORPG.

18 here and loving the retro feel. Your age shouldn’t stop you from trying older games.

i say this for trolling xD this is not supermario, but i prefer finished all contents of real Gw2, and after other contents with "supermario " , super adventure box is very big content and time used for this i prefer used for finish pvp zone and other thinks

you already got an answer to that:

There seems to be a major misconception of how the gaming industry (tbh any industry) works.

There are many employees, many branches, many different developers.

Just because your brother is building his own house doesn’t mean you can’t build a new car at the same time.

As stated by the developers in a previous thread “We are a very small team working on SAB”.

Don’t hate, coagulate.

PvE, PvP and WvW are being worked on at the same time. The team behind SaB is small and still wouldn’t be assigned for PvP even if there was no SaB. You seem to not be able to get it.

I think he understands how software development works and that’s his point. Developer resources are always scarce and all initiatives compete for resources. The living story blog referred to delivering it’s ‘content’ in ‘teasers’ till now, but that developers were rolling off other projects and could now develop living story content.

That’s the way it actually works and that is the objection to SAB. It’s an addition to their value proposition for a certain player niche. It is a distraction and detraction from the core game GW2 which desperately needs attention.

I have no problem with mini-games and monthly events per se. They can have their place and be added over time. The issue here, however, is simply not understanding what should be the priority.

read other forum topics then. 8 people were assigned to SaB in total. Only 3 people worked on it for the most part of it. There’s 300 people working on GW2 currently. Wow those 8 people would have made such a huge difference somewhere else!

stop making SAB better then it is .

it sucks .. i dont care who the makers are ,, They should have uploaded in a B class Game
or minecraft .. maybe WoW ..

This makes no sence at all ..

There is a diffence between a market and a company .. a company like arenanet should have bring A class Things

a market Gives you B and C class Things ..

So arena net is lowering their effort .. cause when i stand For A class i wont be giving ? C class kitten like Sab away into my game because it will crush my reputation , my finance , and my Customers ..

having in mind how well received SaB is I think you don’t know your customers. If you don’t like it, then it’s just an April Fools event, you don’t have to like it or participate in it, however the community likes it.

Doubt they’ll finish it, but they did get such good reviews, I think we’ll get a watered down version (probably with 5 lives each day minus continue coins/one ups per character) without the achievements so they can keep progressing it.

EDIT:
Forgot to add once an account Bauble Bubble reward, or “Glorious Chest” equivalent.

I don’t see why they would take the achievements out to be honest. There’s no point in doing that.

So it’s not anti-melee but if you melee you need smart usage of utilities and dodges while ranged guys can just faceroll?
I guess that sounds about right.

faceroll? My poor low level engineer would disagree with you. Every time the chess spawns enemies like for example snakes I’m dodging left and right because one hit equals half my health gone.
Have all classes here. 6/8 level 80s. Personally I found that the most movement requiring ones are elementalist and thief, warrior and guardian normally can take a hit.
