On side note after seeing what mess they created with Lost Shore event fail and Fractals i fear that the WvW updates may screw everything that is already shaking with all the bugs and class imbalances and put the last nail to WvW coffin.

I rather would like all bugs addressed than new content.

I went and tested it. I was under a false assumption from Shadows Refuge. I can get to 13 seconds.

So I’d assume from maxing certain stats and traits you could make that even higher.

The pirate SB from the Lion’s arch jump puzzle is pretty hot, it has a figure with a skull.

It’s almost like an undead mermaid, with the arms up over the head making the top of the bow and the tail making the bottom.

Oh, and please don’t bring back the buffs when you DO bring them back. Make the buffs PvE (Karma, Gold, Exp, whatever)

It encourages zerging which leads to many other related problems such as culling, low fps, bad play, gingivitis, low sperm count, etc.

This is all relative to the amount of expendable income an individual has, who the heck are you to tell me I can’t blow 10 grand in vegas if I make 300 grand a year?

Now I agree that there are individuals that have an addiction to gambling and those should probably seek help. If you’re spending money in a fashion that takes away from your normal life, e.g. Spending rent money on blackjack, or skipping a meal so you can play slots. This I would agree is unhealthy and needs to be addressed by the individual.

There is a pretty obvious difference between the two. While one may not be “smart” it’s not detrimental. The other is self destructive behavior.

Well I have to say that I (and obviously ANet) think that the overall health of WvW is more important than PvE server hopping.

Well, honestly, nothing in the whole game is the “end of the world” but I can see where some people are miffed that it’s one time and they won’t experience it.

So telling them “don’t worry” doesn’t really help.

I didn’t read all of this, but here’s my 2 cents.

I own two small businesses, I’m pretty kitten good at it and I personally love ANet and the game…

But…

This was a really dumb idea, I’ll explain.

The cash shop is an important income stream for the company, therefore the goal of the team devising it is to get people to USE it.

They initially did a great job with this as a lot of people bought gems to get keys to get loot. The problem simply was that people didn’t feel they revieved a proper Return on Investment (ROI) for the cash that they spent. This was the failure of the team plain and simple, whoever did this made a HUGE future business impacting mistake and really should be disciplined for it. I would if it was my employee. The problem isn’t how much money they did/didn’t make, it’s the faith that they lost for it. There are MANY people that will now never use the cash shop. An exact contridition of what they SHOULD be accomplishing.

They need to do something to earn back those peoples’ trust (if they can). This will entail something like: Return of gems used for keys since the event started (yes I realise that people will get free stuff). Anything short of this will have reprecussions. People will have destroyed/used items, etc…

I will say I have nothing to gain from this as I waited to buy gems and didn’t after I heard of what was going on.

EDIT: It is a very hard balance to make btw between making the highest profit possible while still keeping your customers very happy. They weren’t even CLOSE.

I consider myself to be a pretty darn good player, and I still learned a couple things.

My mesmer is 53 now, it’s my 3rd toon and i enjoy it.

Just what’s listed.

Forget anything you know about MMO’s and how they work.

Start with a fresh imagination and enjoy it for what it is.

Read the “OMG if I had only known this” thread at the top of this page.

I think you may be wanting too much in one class.

I stopped playing my thief, it was too easy…

Fix the culling! Please! I love my thief but it’s not even a challenge because of the culling.

Even I must admit that I’m dissapointed with the wvwvw implementation

I would like to see the following:

1) Culling fixed
2) Player names, This is way more important than I think they realize for serious WvW’rs
3) Some sort of “rank” structure
4) remove/change downed state to not favor zerg warfare (this would help with the culling as well if people spread out across the map more)
5) Autoloot into your bags
6) Commanders pin needs to be ACTUALLY implemented, not just some dot on the map. And it needs to NOT be money but a combination of battle related tasks.

The Ranger rain is on a 30 second cool down… You are experiencing the #2 on arrow carts.

Every class is powerful in WvW in different instances.

Yes, I play a mesmer and that needs to be fixed.

But I’m going to say you really don’t have much of a point. I think you need to concentrate on your own skill set and play style before trying to nerf things. What class do you play? Do you just zerg? Do you roam? What is your play style?

No way, I really can’t believe you’re serious. Mesmer is absolutely awesome in PvP and there are waaaaaay to many of them already.

It’s probably the number 2 class as far as relative power, maybe 3. imho. This is situationally dependant as some other classes are better in certain areas. But overall… the Mesmer is in a VERY GOOD place.

Yeah, there are a TON of S/P players. One of the things I like about the thief is there are many good weapon choices. not so much with some other classes.

I have died probably a total of ~6 times in PvE getting to 80.

2-3 story line when figuring out the mechanic.
1-2 throwing myself of cliffs/towers/bridges/other high objects.
1 Being way too drunk to play.
