yeah, ele brings not many useful elites, true, but at least there are cool racial elites in pvp…. wait. what?
At least Fiery Hounds bring more pressure then an Elemental
What caused the changes were PvP players Killing sieges in PVP With FGS and using meteornado on points.
I cant remember i’ve ever seen meteornado in team queue, so NOPE.
Also for Meteornado to work you’d have to berserk yourself for the real spike effect and I doubt any Eles run berserker in any form of PvP, other then in WvW.
As for the FGS killing siege this was fixed when they fixed the teleport bug where you could use Lightning Flash and you’d get the fiery trail in 1 spot. FGS nerf as of september 9th is purely PvE nerf.
Glyph of Elementals: Now has skill commands when summoned and will be used with the elementals’ next attack.
Flame Barrage (Fire Elemental): Burns multiple targets.
Shocking Bolt (Air Elemental): Stuns a target.
- If shocking bolt actually works and has at max a short CD i think GoE elite got a good buff.
The Air Elemental and Water Elemental I used a bunch in PvP for the lack of a real Elite. I do find the stun and heal on demand to be worthy for the PvP scene since the Water can heal up to 6k HP. But still… I hate Celestial gear and how it’s our only viable set. I refuse to wear it!
Nope, you’ll get a mini Logan stabbing your calves!
And then he runs away.
(Sorry.)
I would imagine all the mini Logans transforming into a into a big MegaLoganbot and serving the Queen as a pet.
… will the Shining Blade come and lock you up? worried
Is it that hard for some people to perform great with this profession even after spending 2 years? even as a bunker 25 stacks might dps spec? really? I guess the class is not meant for everyone. Probably they are first timers playing a mage type of profession on a mmorpg. The ele is not beginner friendly that’s for sure.
Update: I am once again playing Elementalist as my primary.
Something about this profession is hard for me to walk away from lol.
Oh I almost forgot. I bet op will return as well lol
I have no idea how LightningBlaze came to the conclusion that I’m not doing good with my ele, but ok.
Yeah it’s extremely hard to not login to the Ele, or 3 of them for that matter but I found guardians to be very similar to Eles as they need active play and I’m actually enjoying it. Timing blinds, timing blocks it’s very proactive even with swapping weapons. But Guardian’s WvW mentality is completely different then what I did with my Ele and that’s the part I gotta work on
. So much more then Lootsticking!
I’m gonna say this again, and I’ve said it plenty of times. Don’t consider this a Feature Pack, but more of a Sync Pack.
What they’re doing is just SYncing NA/EU Clients with Chinese ones. Why did their PR force them to name it “The Feature Pack” I have no idea but as everyone can see the name is very counter-productive.
Look forward to the Feature Pack in 2015 when they’re finally done releasing GW2 around the Globe, unless a 3rd GW2 gets released in Antartika then get prepared for another Syncing Feature Pack
However, ele isn’t the only class that has crappy elites, so I don’t think that this is a reason to quit ele. Still I’d love to see some drastic changes to tornado for example or a completely new elite (there are enough good suggestions all around the forum).
An elite should be something that makes your enemies flee in panic or pop their CDs and not something that makes you a target that is easier to kill (FGS and Tornado).
Yeah it’s not just the Elite issue it’s thet lack of interest for Eles. I can’t say it’s lack of interest but more that they don’t know what to do with them. And I guess issues have been building up for me since they started with Ele “adjustments”. It’s hilarious that everyone is rolling the same build Celestial+Cantrips. There’s no imagination for a complex playstyle like Ele anymore. They simpled it way too much.
The issues have been building up for a while now and the lack of ELites (“powerful skills designed to be used infrequently and have a dramatic effect on the tide of a battle”) is just the tip of the ice berg.
I guess I had a good roll with the Eles, ever since GW Factions came out.
EDIT: Non crappy, usefull Elites:
1) Guardian – all 3 are usefull in different situations and are party wide as well as self-support
2) Mesmer – all 3 are used in all 3 game modes. (Mass Invisibility – WvW, MoA – sPvP, PvE against Forms, TW – speed dungeons)
3) Necro – all 3 usefull (Golem – good PvE tank, even better in WvW against gates and knocking palyers, Lich Form – just amazing, and even Plague is used with condi necros)
4) Rangers – (RaO – speedbuff, stability and fury. enough said. Entangle – in WvW is great, haven’t seen in sPvP but there is some use to it, Nature Spirit – I dunno bout this one, I never used it)
5) Warrior – (Warbanner, a free slot for a res and team buff in all 3 mdoes, Signet – dps boost in all 3 modes, Rampage – don’t find it usefull)
6) Thief – (Guild – mass spike damage in PvP and PvE, Storm – reflecting projectiles and damage in WvW/Pve and even PvP, Basilisk Venom – seen some nice work with this in PvP)
7) Engi (Supply Crate, mass AI targets down best out there against a single target used in all 3 modes, Elixir X and Mortar – not that great.)
So out of all the Elites the only useless Elites imo are: Rampage, Nature SPirit, Elixir X, Mortar. All of the others have uses.
Now compare Ele Elites to the usefull Elites of other professions. We don’t even make a splash, let along turn a tide.

After 2 years building and wielding my Ele as a Main, crafting Legendaries and spending God knows how much gold on different armor stats and skins, leveling up 3 different Ele races to 80 and gearing them, I finally realized that I’m done crying over the fact that I don’t have a single usefull durable Elite that can make an impact to the match. If anything using my Elite will speed up the process of killing me and I just have to accept that ANet doesn’t know how to Balance out Eles. I think the whole 4 Attunement was a big catch for them and I’m now ok with it.
And it’s not just the Elite issues, don’t get me wrong. This break-up has been building up for some time now. Fixing unintended effects is great but I gave them 2 years to fix the core of Eles and yet they only care about the superficial, most popular stuff that gets posted on reddit and pvp guides. So I’m done.
Why should I struggle learning, already complex Ele mechanism, when I can roll a Guard and be so much more useful in any game mode.
Ditching out mats for Incinerator and crafting a Sunrise this week was the greatest choice I ever made in this game.
So bye bye Elementalist we had an amazing 2 year relationship. I choose a better GW2 experience that you’ve offered me in the last 2 years.
(edited by Nabuko Darayon.9645)
So I was wondering do the newly released weapon skins in China clients cost 1 BL Ticket aswell?
It isn’t the tails, its the fact that they are hunched over that causes problems.
If it were the tails, all they’d have to do is make them short enough that they never reached that far down.
Evey other race can sort of just have it hang freely and not worry too much about it colliding with the body like they did in GW1. With the charr, it would need to be resting on their back while standing still and that presents a huge problem given the variations of armor in the game. It would need to come to a rest quite a bit above the actual body and would look horrible.
If you though floating backpacks on charr were bad…
Didn’t Grenth Hood fix the hunch back issue?
I really want one of those Bows :-)
Sorry, it’s mine all mine and I’m not sharin’!
I’d heavily advise the GMs to take pictures of the incident BEFORE the whisper. It’s amazing how someone’s actions/attitude will change when a GM whispers them. This is just so that if the person in question goes to a social media page and tries to start drama, the GM’s/Anet have a picture of what they were doing wrong before they were contacted.
No worries, we don’t rely on screenshots. We have a trump card: game logs, and they cannot be altered or fudged for personal reasons by someone trying to grief another player.
On a serious note, nice to see this happening
I think so, too!
Will the whispers be recorded internally, amassing marks (as you state it)?
For example, I do something stupid and GM Bob whispers me saying “oi, knock it off.” I stop, then return the next day or the next week and start doing the same something stupid again. Will GM Suzy know that GM Bob already warned me about it?
(disclaimer: Any resemblance to actual GM names is purely coincidental and unintentional)
We’re not giving warnings for chat violations, but yes, chat reports are amassed and over time can impact one’s account. We will keep account notes for instances when a warning is given for other sorts of infractions, so yes, our fictional Suzy and Bob will know the account’s history.
Will this come in handy in the future WvW season tournament with other server’s troll on your server’s map?

“personal story starts at level 10”
So the question is how long it takes to get to level 10.
You more or less reach level 5 when keyfarming right now, and that’s 15-20 minutes. However, that’s including experience from doing the Personal Story itself.
Anyway, using this as an (extremely) rough guess, it’ll take 30-40 minutes to get to level 10. Add another 10 minutes to do your Personal Story steps, and it’ll be 40-50 minutes for each key.
So expect Black Lion weapons to significantly increase in price on the TP.
OK but what about the reward? Is it still a KEY? Or did they change the rewards?
What they’re trying here is to Sync Chinese and NA/EU Clients. Remember they were working fully on Chinese release and had not much time to implement serious stuff in this Feature pack.
I was even surprised that they did one now and not later since it was a too short period to add anything meaningful.
Consider this more of a Sync pack then Feature pack.
Is it the end of key farming as of September 9th? Are the skins only going to get more and more expensive?
How is this new Personal Story experience on Chinese Clients, anyone know? Still a Key reward after completing or what?
Would you prefer a Campaign over an Expansion?
To start let me explain the two, slightly different terms in GuildWars franchise. Expansion is an add-on to the current Story-arc. If we look in the future we can see Expansions via Living Story. What this means is that they’re actively expanding Tyria (continent) by focusing the fights on battling different Elder Dragons.
But so far we haven’t heard about any Dragons awaken in Cantha and Elona. Bubbles is only mentioned as the one who cut the naval path between Tyria and Cantha, while Kralkatorrik is resident at the Tyrian part of the Crystal Desert.
With this in mind, would you prefer a Campaign, that sets up new plots and twists in Cantha and Elona prior to putting Elder Dragons back to sleep?
Would you be ok with a new threat that would be introduced with a new Campaign and still join Tyrians battle the Dragons?I was just thinking about this yesterday, when we were discussing the concept of a potential expansion, and what I’d really rather have, is an entirely new campaign, where it’s possible to level up a new character of say Canthan heritage with Canthan face options, Tengu as a new race, maybe a new profession (the return of ritualists maybe), in new zones. I’d prefer that over a level cap raise.
GW1 did it right, campaigns blew expansions of other MMO’s out of the water.
I wouldn’t have anything against a Higher Level Cap because knowing ANet they would probably add a Mystic Forge recipe to increase our Armor levels without going though all the trouble of crafting them again, especially since they can’t be sold on TP.
The bad side of GW1 Campaigns is that it was a separate world completely. Like if you pressed M you’d only see Cantha/Elona and not the full world. If they incorporated a full-scale map and having the options for Vet to go and continue adventures while also providing newbie zones for low level would be cool.
On another note, I also haven’t thought about the full stand-alone Campaign, which I’d be against. So I can say when I asked this I meant more plot/story-wise then sales-wise. Huge miscalculation in my part.
Dragons were a lazy ploy in the writing anyway. I want the writers that worked on GW1.
As I’ve understood, with my little knowledge of the lore, Cantha is suppressed by the Ministry of Purity, while Elona has Palawa Joko that can both be used as a plot-line.

No 2: Mounts and Open Word Housing (via player lots or Guild Halls)
Note: This isn’t a call for topics just asking how to pick them(-:
Ether way it’s Option 2
. better that we rage at the community for popularizing the wrong topic :P
No 2: Mounts and Open Word Housing (via player lots or Guild Halls)
DMany of the ragers and trolls around here are actively working on casting a dark shadow upon GW2 because a new, soon to be released game needs more people and this is one way to attract them.
lulwut? I think your tinfoil hat is on too tight bro.
Not at all, the last 2 guilds I was in had officers actively recruiting for the new game and constantly trash talking about this game they were “playing” . I dunno on what Utopian guild you’re in but you’re lucky if this hasn’t come up for you.
Guild chat = forum?
Guilds are multi platform/game all the time. Maybe they got tired of GW2 and are trying to get their buddies to join them in a new game. Whatever you think about GW2, their opinion is just as valid and they are perfectly in their right to try to get their gaming companions to join them in a new game.
Sorry but this is not the case. I wouldn’t have posted here if this was the case -.-

2 Things:
About Meteornado, i don’t think that is OP or being exploited atm. Eles don’t have a good elite atm so a DPS increase every 180 secs for 3 secs its not that of a big deal.
Fiery greatsword its also just a movility weapon because the #4 its just usefull for PvE.So Tornado being useless and greatsword only being used for defense what elite we have left? They need some serious love, not nerfs.
About balance changes: They have talked about gylphs and that they are aware that actually 90% eles use cantrips. Well, what they don’t seem to understand is that cantrips are a must due to the lack of survavility that elementalists have. They can give you anything that you will still need cantrips for defence.
They could rework elementalist entirely but i don’t think they will ever do. They will need to give eles something really good so they can sacrifice survavility for other things.
I completely agree with your Mister on this. This is exactly how I feel.
Dear Chris, I would take all these raging with a distant note. Many of the ragers and trolls around here are actively working on casting a dark shadow upon GW2 because a new, soon to be released game needs more people and this is one way to attract them.
Some of the concern in the community are on the spot, but having major hysteria over not including different commander shapes along the colors (an example) is just hilarious.
Just want to put out there that not all of these ragers have a pure intent to make GW2 better. Keep on the good work!
You don’t want to farm, yet you want to look shiney. Impossible. You want to earn millions and sleep all day, not gonna happen.
I use Norn elite. Kitten the others.
Norn getting nerfed as well.
How and when.
Norn Elite Forms won’t being the same either. (taken from a developer’s chat during twitch stream)
They aren’t buffing the Elementals (at least not in the preview). They’ve only added a skill for each elemental just like Necromancer’s minions. So you can press it and the Elemental will attack with it.
vapor form just got a visual update, clam down, still same effect…
You didn’t pay attention. They’re making it so that cc’s work under Vapour Form which they don’t now. Now you’re immune to all damage just like Mist Form.
I use Norn elite. Kitten the others.
Norn getting nerfed as well.
FGS is still the best Elite for PvE and WvW (roaming)
And FGS will still be one of the best PvE elites still, but in line with the other professions elites.
Explain to me how it’s the best. How is FGS better then any Ele rotation? Without valid arguments this is just like saying the sea is blue.
Eles need a signet elite IMO. I hate passive crap but I think these changes open us up to some new skills.
Tornado and FGS trail needed some changes.
With the uselessness of our Elites I’m more and more open for a 4th Utility Slot. Kitten those Elites! They’re just a waste of space and skill points.
We can all agree that the side-effects of Tornado and FGS were not in the line with others.
Option to ‘adjust’ the Vapour Form is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen.
Note to ANet: When you decide to nerf our only viable choices at least give us non-kittenty options to replace them.
Which Elite to choose now?
- In any scenario (PvE, dungs, fractals, open bosses, WvW, except 1on1 PvP) Glyph of Elements elite is terrible. Not only do the Elements die within 5 seconds of summoning, most of them don’t even stay at range since they’re not tanky enough.
- Tornado is now completely useless. In Pvp/WvW/PvE people will just range you to death while you do your ballet spins. Even Engineer’s Tornado got a better buff then us.
- Fiery Greatsword was useless to begin with. It only had that fiery rush to make it a bit worthy placing as an Elite. I think that bundle Sticks deal more damage then this one. It doesn’t have a cleave with auto-attack, very low damage output on all skills, not even worth going there anymore.
So what Elite to choose?
Now, regarding the Vapour Form nerf. It wasn’t enough that our downed skills are TERRIBLE. Looong casting time, no beneficial effects, the only thing we could’ve done was gone into a 3second Invulnerability and try to go to a safe spot. Now with 2000 seconds of Immobilization cast by every single player we can’t do even that. While other professions have push-backs, stealths, healing symbols, reviving pets we have NOTHING now.
Next time when you try to adjust our skills, please start by buffing up the core of Elementalists to be in the line with the rest before you take down OP skills.
To begin with you didn’t even touch Glyph of Elemental Power the most useless Glyph out there. Not to mention made our Downed skills more in the line with other professions.
And now I hear Rangers get this ultra-speed projectile attacks? What about our Staves ANet? What about our Staves? Earth auto is useless just like FGS now.
You’ve forgot a major note and that is a nerf to Vapour Form. It’s no longer immune to cc’s. No more sneaking inside a keep in WvW.
What disappoints me is the lack of buffs to a new meta. I feel completely lost.
So I didn’t actually realize this was a change. Yes a huge nerf. I thought this was just a visual thing.
Honestly though, this was a merited change. Nobody should be able to sneak into keeps untouched. No other class can.
But in the pool of useless Downed Skill we have it was the only safe benefit for us. We don’t have a push back, no healing sybmols, nothing to help us get up, no good SKill 1 Downed, nothing to hide us, and we’re still the squishiest out there….
You’ve forgot a major note and that is a nerf to Vapour Form. It’s no longer immune to cc’s. No more sneaking inside a keep in WvW.

There’s no counter. But usually these sales were on a daily basis.
Please make this helmet dyeable. At least a single-dye option.
Why would they tell YOU their plan? I don’t see any major companies telling anything of what they’ve got prepared in store why should ANet?
If anything this idiotic, so-called, riot will drive them further away from the community when it comes to mentioning their future plans.
It was a nice gesture, even during Guild Wars 1, that the Devs reached out to us as they considered themselves gamers as well. But when spoiled little brats think they own a company just because they paid for the game is where I draw the line.
A good, interesting place like the reddit has become so infested with morons in the last 6 months that the real people who visited that place for news and witty comments no longer want to read anything from there.
As a paying costumer, I say No. ANet don’t ever share your future plans until they’re close to being released. We don’t deserve your openness with the community.
Some do, but those that do, they’re playing the game and not poisoning the forums.
To respond to the OP.
I use sometimes Glyph of Storms in Earth because it gives me that AoE Blind spam. But the whole trait glyph system and glyph of elemental power really sucks.
If they found a way to make it more character supporty rather then giving us some random conditions they would be more viable.
Also the casting time of them make them an easy target to interrupt so they need to work on that too. But I like what they’re doing so far.
Fixing FGS (I’m an Ele and it really bothers me when I get objectified by my FGS and not Attunement swaps. I’m an Ele after all show some respect.).
Tornado fix will be the same one as Engineer’s Tornado. We’ve seen that.
But I do hope they bring out some big guns here regarding all traits not just grandmasters. We need a trait fix-up for Glyphs and Focus. Also increased projectile speed for Staff since Rangers got their speed increased aswell.
I could care less about SAB tbh. It was just a filler event between episodes. WHo says it’s not coming next Tuesday? It will probably bring SAB and some other sort of Dragon bash celebration… stop all the drama pleaseee. Go play the game! Your server is losing in WvW! HELP IT OUT!
300-500 people have spoken. Rest just don’t care.
Guys keep it clean. Ether make a good argument pro or contra or just don’t post at all.
Hi OP, while I’m generally pro mount and not against most of what you said, I do take an issue with open world housing, for a lot of reasons.
First of all the world is beautiful. It wont’ be as beautiful once people start building in it. If there are a limited number of houses, getting the one you want will be a major problem. With mega servers it’s even worse, since your house would have to be on every server. Remember, servers are created spontaneously as they’re needed So if you have a house, it has to be part of all servers. That means 25 zones, types a max of 150 players.
3750 players get houses. Less if there are no houses in Orr, which there shouldn’t be.
There’s no good way to introduce open world housing in a game with small server population caps.
Well I think they know people aren’t exactly happy with the current Megaservers and I think that they’re just a filler for a problem on which’s solution they’re working on so that’s why I added open housing. is it doable? Yes. How long would it take ANet to implement it, I guess a long time since it would involve expanding parts of the maps for house lots.
The other idea that comes to my mind as a replacement are open World Guild Halls on different areas. But for this to work I imagine we’d have a ranking GvG’s so that the Top guilds get priority over what land to purchase, or they get a new unlock in more prestigious zones (e.g. Top 3 guilds have a lot in the Rings of Fire). But this also has it’s pros and cons.
And with/if the release of Cantha/Elona you’d get a lot more options to move to. So if anything for real open-world housing/halling I wouldn’t expect anything sooner until most of the World of Tyria has been explored/added.
Well done OP.
If this is what GW2 looks like in 7 years I’ll definitely be playing more then.
lol I didn’t mean in 7 years, the title was long so I ahd to shorten it somehow. It was 7 years and going… like it was 7 years since GW2 was announced
lol.
Well to be fair I’d assume it would take Anet about that long to produce content on the scale you described. But yes, the sooner the better. :p
I still have hope they’d speed up now that the experiment called GW2 is successful.
Well done OP.
If this is what GW2 looks like in 7 years I’ll definitely be playing more then.
lol I didn’t mean in 7 years, the title was long so I ahd to shorten it somehow. It was 7 years and going… like it was 7 years since GW2 was announced
Ever GW2 was announced it was in the making I had a hope for a perfect Tyria. I remember I joined GW2 guru in 2009 just to keep up with the small info we were getting then and so many guys were hyped. I even remember when Beta sign-ups started I wanted to play it soo badly. And not to mention when I first got into the game. Wow, just Wow. I knew from that day this game will be my last MMO I plan on investing time and money in. Being a RPG and mostly PvEr, I was stunned by how awesome Tyria was and the potential it had! From the beautiful scenery with almost free exploration (I still hate your invisible walls ANet :P), the dynamic event system, underwater exploration and combat* (Yes I bolded this because I still thing this is a great part of the world, Pve-wise at least), character customization and movement. Coming from someone who hates monotony, GW2 was all but monotonous during the first year. Coming closer to our 2nd year together, I must write this wishlist to put it out there as a trace of existence that someone still cares enough to speak up. After this `brief` intro here’s my wishlist that I hope you guys at ANet could consider adding so that Tyria can be a truly living place. I’ve even included some controversial topic just because I think it would work. At the time of writing this I do not know if I’ll be editing my Wishlist once people start throwing their own, but for now consider this a well thought list of improvement.
1. Mounts – The idea of a mount in a game is to give a lone player some companion on his adventures. You can jump with them, even select a different one for underwater (remove those Water Speed boosters for Dwayna’s sake!). Mounts tend to run faster then Tyrians so they’d have a permanent 33%/50% speed buff. You can have it to follow you around but it can’t get killed. If you’re riding and get in combat you would automatically unmount. You can’t mount in combat. Have Race-specific mounts so there won’t be any clipping issues, position issues and whatnot.
2. Open world housing market – have different housing lots around Tyria where you can buy your lot and enjoy the scenery. Sorry but instanced houses just don’t make it alive.
3. Open world dragon encounters and destruction.
Make Dragons more Living and Destructive. What’s wrong in having a Dragon fly over e.g. Queensdale, burn a few Houses and people, peasants come and attack it and its up to you to push the dragon away and he’s never to return again to that place. Or at least dragon minions. Just like at The Grove. The word will spread out there’s a Dragon attack happening at XX place.
4. Open world Hunger Royale events spawning at random times and places. The word will spread out fast.
5. Introduce all 6 God realms as 10-man elite dungeons/zones.
We already saw UW and FoW and DoA, but in the end we should be able to enter all 6 of the domains.
6. Living Story heading to Mursaat Lands (we got infused), Charr Homeland, Deldrimor Front, Woodland Cascades, Far Shiverpeaks, Rings of Fire.
7. Make Living Story leading to a new Continent. (Expansion)
We all want major content releases with a bunch of new skills, new weapons, higher level cap (we are getting stronger after all with ll the dragon magic releasing back to Tyria), new races and new threats. LS is cool and all but we want to feel the rush again, when starting in a new place with new plots. Dragons can’t possibly be the only thing happening in Tyria(The World).
Here’s an idea, have a LS/PS going towards Kralkatorrik and if we successfully beat him/drive him away we get an open path to Elona. IF we conquer the sea and deal with Deep Sea Dragon we got an open naval path to Shing Jea and Cantha.
8.* Please give some love to PvPers. Give them GvG’s and Hall of Heroes. You had a huge popularity hit with these modes and they should be brought back. Alliance Battles a.k.a. sPvP stuff were more popular with PvErs when we wanted a Town for our Guild. These are some hits GW1 had and should be brought back because, if anything, bringing back popular GW1 stuff (Tormented/Chaos) also were hits in GW2.
That’s it so far. Hope one day I get to see Tyria in it’s full potentian, dragon-free with new political plots happening across the Sea!

Same problem. Stuck on the Loading Screen to Hoelbrack
As far as I’m suspecting this will happen:
- Tornado buff like Engies
- probably a trait redo, or increase projectile speed on our Staves
- a Focus buff or a redo
- nerf to FGS Fiery Rush and all other fire field wall/lines to only tick as one
Ok Shaman is about team work. Bring as many reflections and projectile absorptions as possible. The issue here is your longbow. You should’ve brought Axe offhand for some team support in reflecting back.
Same goes for me, as an ele. I play Staff everywhere else in fractals but against that Shaman I run Scepter/Focus for the aoe projectile absorption during the grub phase.
If you were in my party I’d tell you to adjust, if you didn’t I’d kick you out aswell. When in a party you should be supporting your teammates aswell and not just killing stuff from 1500 range while the 4 of them die.
It’s not your fault, as it’s profession’s fault. Some professions aren’t team orriented. that’s why necros and rangers have a hard time. Even thieves have sometimes if not built correctly.
But I don’t blame them for kicking you out if you’re not contributing to the party.

i was having this problem and found this and so far it seems to be helping:
1: Right-click your gw2.exe and choose Properties.
2: Go to the Compatibility tab.
3: Under Settings check-mark ’Disable display scaling on high DPI settingsThis worked for me. Before, I could only go 3-5 seconds before my character would stop running while holding down both buttons, now she runs smoothly, and right camera turning is golden too. THANK YOU. Huge turn off when just starting this game, Anet should really get on top of this.
This worked for me too! This should be stickied as a solution!
I think they are pretty cool, myself. Though I’m always open to -more- possibilities rather than taking one away.
I also think it’s okay with the attunement thing, especially since you can get traits that will still affect your conjure depending on attunement.
I wish they’d redo a bit Conjure at least. Ether remove charges and have it equipped full duration or make it a perma-wielding weapon while active. Even redo the skills I guess so we can have a real 2nd weapon on us.
