Gaile, there is no option currently available to report an offensive guild name.
Are you guys working on this? Cuz, I have come across a guild or 2 in my time that seriously needed to be changed.
Is there another avenue that can be pursued to report a guild name/tag?
I’m thrilled about the upcoming wardrobe/dye changes!
I never really bought any town clothes, with the exception of a pair of glasses once, because they couldn’t be used as skins in combat & I’ve spent too much time & money acquiring my armor look anyway.
Now, I’ll never buy them bcs they can’t be mixed n matched. (plus the absence of female hair etc)

I’ve always thought those 2 buffs were strange. The main thing about it is, it makes the fights so boring! Most of your good skills are completely useless. You just stand there auto-attacking with an occasional dodge for like 5 minutes straight…
Def not a good way to promote learning how to play your class.

I have always wished we could do this. The mix n match possibilities would be out of this world compared to what we have now.
“Currently, level 80 players have 70 trait points to spend across all trait lines and have to invest five points into a given trait line to unlock their next minor or major trait. We’re condensing trait points so that each point will be the equivalent of five of the old points. This means that at level 80, you’ll have 14 points to assign instead of 70. You’ll start acquiring points at level 30, when the adept trait tier is unlocked, then you’ll earn one trait point every six levels until level 66, when you’ll start earning two trait points at a time.
The way we’re increasing the value of individual trait points means that when you’re spending a point in a line, you’ll receive 50 of each associated stat and unlock the use of a minor or major trait slot.
With this system, spending traits will be much easier for new players to understand. Right now, there is the possibility for someone who doesn’t really know the system to spend 11 trait points in one line and 14 in another and wind up with a less effective build. As an added benefit, the trait panel will be much easier to understand and navigate.”
They should NOT have nerfed karma. They should have given us more things to purchase with it. Nerfing seems like the lazy way.

I love the profane armor, but it doesn’t take dyes very well, which is why I eventually changed my outfit. Dye’s do not apply to this armor set like they do to cloth.

Amazing, just do it, so much hate leveling alts, because if done in WvW I hurt my server (very hard to not to, and still gain XP), and I can’t play anything else than WvW, sorry, just can’t. Voted for, click on OP post +1 (not sure if anyone reads these threads anyway, but let’s hope)

This is true, Rangers can shoot at 1500 when traited. I also believe both Rangers barrage and Ele’s meteor shower could still reach them at 1500.
I’d be perfectly fine though if they were raised to 2000 and only made to hit with Ballista. It would certainly delay an attacking force, and give reason for people to build cannons and put points into mastery.
1500 is fine. Cannons shouldn’t be un-destroyable.
The 1500 range would severely limit the amount of players that could damage them and the players on them.
1500 range, gives some kind of purpose for rangers in wvw, and brings even more props to properly traited ele staff builds.
The person operating the cannon would be much safer for longer & may not even have to abandon the cannon thanks to the lack of necro aoe >.>
And one would hope that this distance also negates pulls for the cannoneers

Agreed. Might turn the tide just a little and add some more epic fights defending structures, giving defenders just a little more time to respond. Also, slowing down the ktrain a tad.
I also agree that pvd shouldn’t be allowed, with maybe, the exception of fire damage… cuz…logical
Could restructure upgrades:
row 1:
~hire merchants
~hire services (bank/repairs)
~hire tp agent
row 2:
~hire additional guards
~raise guard level
~hire guard patrol
row 3:
~build cannons
~reinforce cannons
~build cannon platforms & extend cannon range appropriately (raising cannons to 1500 range, thus also giving rangers more purpose in wvw if traited accordingly)
row4:
~2nd worker
~build mortars
~build wp
row 5:
~gates are resistant to all damage except fire & siege damage
~gates are reinforced
~gates are fortified
row 6:
~infused iron walls (walls randomly ignore/reflect dmg 5% of the attack time, or every 10th hit)
~walls are reinforced
~walls are fortified

Don’t know if it’s intentional or not but, it’s definitely true.
If you really want to balance that part of cannons…
Put all the cannons on 1500 unit tall towers at the corners of walls. That way cannons are safe from players’ shots. 1200 units would be enough to keep it balanced if that’s too much.The cannons on stonemist’s inner are an example of how this would work out.

I love cannons but, as it is, it’s almost kind of a waste to put points in Cannon Mastery, unless you just don’t have anything else to do with your points.
They should definitely be careful how they implement this. It should be harder to take a fort, then defend it. Otherwise, wvw becomes even more ktrain.

Rank abilities give us something to work for & feel accomplished about. More should (& will) be added, not taken away.
Remove bloodlust. Our server barely pays attention to it at all. We never have anything other than minor & we generally don’t care. Probly happens by accident or just pure roamer boredom at times.
Break out those fantastic GW2 game designers and give us a tower/stronghold in the center of the bl map with cannons/turrets pointing n/s/e/w, or just bring back the lake.
But no more snow this time. If i have to have snow in my face again, I may just freak out.

Same, was here for the 2nd exodus & struggled thru the stomping of Season 1.
As an officer in a wuv guild that has tried 3 servers now, I can attest to the fact that IoJ has an awesome community! We have most definitely nestled in here on IoJ quite well.
We’re treated with respect and gratitude for our efforts, which was shockingly refreshing considering our experiences with previous servers.

I’ve made a WvW application that allows users to view objective information without having some external window open or using a static overlay. It is integrated in the game: You look towards a certain tower and you’ll see an icon with the borderlands that holds it and timers. The beta just opened up for public so it’s fairly new.

I personally don’t think this should be changed. This mechanic has provided untold hours of battles inside enemy garrison’s. Not to mention the additional loot bags!
Taking an enemy structure is supposed to be harder than defending it!

I suggest:
Skritt and centaur patroles on the map 5-8 strong serving the team controlling the camp, the npcs need a power level comparable to the EoTM npcs, the patrols should be moving between camps and sentinels, every 15min the patrols mesmer npc portals the patrol to a random sentinel or camp to make the route less predictable.
No, STOP IT with the PVE mobs, just stop it. Every single one of them should be removed except guards/lords.
If ppl want stacks, those stacks should have to be obtained by killing enemies.
I do agree that the ruins and eotm are aesthetically beautiful. There’s never any lacking in this game aesthetically… ever
But, the ruins & their effects were never, even remotely, asked for by players.
I agree that some kind of structure would be a much better replacement for the area.
Tyler, please put the “dying from walking down a slope” bug at the top of your list. Cuz that one’s just rediculous. That should not be happening in a game mode like wvw.
Instead of nerfing it into the ground, they should have just given us more stuff to buy with it………

I was totally anticipating them over by Tactician Michael under the big tent or something like that.
I worry that the great sense of server community that was felt ‘hanging out in la’ while you craft n trade, has been lost.
Anything being done about the bug that causes you to die from walking down a slight slope as if you had jumped off too high a cliff?? This is a big problem for WvW’ers…
Gettin real tired of watching my guild mates die for no reason & need a rez, slowing up group play in a realm where time is of the essence.
This doesn’t happen to me personally bcs I use the falling trait & I jump around a lot while I’m running along. However it does annoyingly put me in combat run-speed occassionally.
Also, when the new masteries come out, this is going to be an even bigger problem….
