The amulets will be rebalanced to compensate for the loss of stats originally gained from trait lines.

This is probably as good of a place as any to mention that we’ll also be using this opportunity to rebalance PvP’s celestial amulet to be slightly less effective. We’re probably looking at a 10%~ decrease in overall stats, but this number can change as we draw closer to releasing the core specialization changes.

Removing stats in traits AND reducing celestial stats? I don’t really get the point, unless something compensate this. Maybe celestial will have condition/boon duration too?

Anyway, I am talking about the whole thing of April Fools in WvW was a mistake, not the see through walls, I can live with that “exploit” for 24h, but not with the annoying effect when trying to be competitive and help my server in tier 1, actually I am NOT going to play WvW until this end, I hope other players with more patience than me help the server to win, every minute counts in tier 1.

The only I can do is sPvP, is not affected.

I don’t want to be rude, but I think is a mistake to add that April Fools effect (joke) to WvW for 24 hours.

I see the effect is not present in sPvP arenas, the reason? because is a competitive place I suppose? well, I think WvW is competitive too, specially in tier 1, so, even when I think the joke was funny, I don’t want to have it when I play WvW, that in my opinion is as competitive, if not more, than sPvP.

I want all dungeons story mode to be soloable (without any special build or trick), and the explorable to be harder (hard mode) with more rewards and not soloable in any way (not even with the more ridiculous builds).

They better dont fix it before they didnt rollback all the people who exploited GWAMM. Or they can also get all the skins unlocked

Actually, I think the Stone was disabled on purpose by ArenaNet to prevent that, until they fix this.

I have GW1 linked, I don’t like exploits so I am going to avoid this. It’s very possible to do a rollback, at least a partial one, just recalculating the points in GW1 account and resending data to GW2. The crash using stone is possible on purpose disabled by ArenaNet to prevent skin unlock.

if you just swap weapons and don’t use any skills, then it remains off.

Maybe you have different game options? because mine never stop the autoattack on weapon change, see the video. And that’s the way it worked in 3 years.

It happens when you swap weapons too. Kind of a quality of life feature to prevent needless Confusion damage when you swap to a melee auto attack.

Or something like that. In any case, any time your 1 skill changes (outside of chains), auto-attack stops.

What you taking about? of course the autoattack continue when changing weapons, even when an Elite ends the autoattack continue. The only thing stopping autoattack is death shroud even when it has the autoattack configured by default.

If you switch from staff to dagger the autoattack is continuous if you are in melee, or you just go to melee range and it will continue, without ever hitting skill 1.

I noticed the Necromancer stop to autoattack when entering Death Shroud and viceversa. Is that intended for some reason? or a bug? you need to manually use skill 1 everytime you go in or out of Death Shroud.

At the moment I am having a ping of 450ms to 700ms to all 64.25… IPs (the IP range used by all NCSoft games: Aion, Wildstar, GW2, etc.) I am in South America.

I reported this to my ISP, but I am not sure who is the culprit.

[The topic title is a direct question to ArenaNet, sorry if it is confusing but the size is limited]

Hi. I have been noticing some annoying “lag spikes” (I will elaborate bellow) on the last 4 days or so.

First, I play on Americans servers (from South America), WvW only, this happened in both EB and BL map, like 15 times in last 4 days, so I decided to post this.

The game works normally for many minutes, then suddenly, I “lose connection” to the game for like 4 to 6 seconds, the same symptoms of internet drop, then all return to normal for another 10 minutes or sometimes a lot more, 1 hour, looks random.

The thing is, I have software that ping some servers (websites) all the time, to check my internet and latency, and nothing is failing when GW2 is having the “lag spike”, I need to test more, but looks like only the game is losing the connection, aka, the problem is not my internet (or my hardware/software).

That’s why I ask, if maybe something is different now in the game server network? it’s impossible to know for me, it could be anything from here to game server, even something not directly related to ArenaNet, but I need to ask and report anyway just in case, and it looks like there is nothing I can do in my side, so my only option is to wait.

You must know the “get used” factor it’s extremely important. If you are going to add usability to the UI, you can’t change everything radically. Also, the style of the design should make you know immediately you are in a GW2 website or ingame, being unique, and not similar at all to any other game.

Anyway, the work is good, you could even work for ArenaNet, but is easier when you design with your own tools/software than actually adding that to an existing game.

Server costs? it is just another Bleed. If you want to see “server costs” go to WvW T1 after reset, a chaos of 240 players all on bleed. And I am talking about just one PvE enemy with one new condition.

My solution: Add new condition that add additional damage over time when 5 players or more are applying the same condition to the target. That new condition could be really powerful, and with stacks up to 100.

You could change the key-binding for Panel: Open Access Escape to something else, perhaps. Accessible in Options, Control Options, Actions.

This menu on ESC key is still annoying me in WvW. Using the SAME key for Menu AND cancel skills, not a good idea, need an option to disable this.

I agree, but there are some exceptions, for example, the best Necromancer player in the world can’t escape a fight in open WvW, doesn’t matter how good is, they are too slow, as simple as that. It’s kill or be killed, unless another player helps.

Another example, if you are the worst Warrior player in the world but smart enough to have Soldier stats and a Greatsword, both easy and cheap to get, it’s very possible to escape most situations, even as uplevel.

I am gold rank (that does not make me automatically good but I am experienced) and at the moment I think only a good Thief can kill me in a 1vs1, but need to be really good and/or use a lot of stealth to seriously confuse me. So, Thief must be the number one roamer. The second place could be the Warrior, because can escape 99% of situations. Not sure about the third, but some Elementalists are impossible to kill, literally.

  • Don’t touch servers, no need to merge.
  • Reduce tiers to only two:
  • Tier 1 will be as it is right now, the top 3 servers.
  • Tier 2 will be temporally merged servers as it is in EotM map.
  • Every week, the 3rd place of T1 will go to T2, and the best performing in T2 will go to T1.
  • If the queue is too big in T2, a new instance could be created, etc. (there are multiple solutions to this problem)

Just to be clear, you’re advocating leaving T1 alone, with 3 servers… and merging all the rest to the second “tier” where they fight it out in multi-instance EotM style matchups???

Yes, but not exactly, the “multi-instance” is only for queuing, only one real map (eb+3bl) will give the points, and the “merging” is only for the non tier 1 servers at the moment, temporary, all weeks a different server will go to tier 1. The real WvW will be the first 3 servers (that is happening already anyway) the other servers purpose will be trying to enter the tier 1 next week.

EotM Map is bad. It does destroy many communities which is also bad. I like the idea of not touching T1 because T1 doesn’t need to be “fixed”.

If EotM map is bad or not, it’s an opinion. In my opinion, there are no “communities”, at least not WvW ones, to be “destroyed” by this system in the unpopulated servers, if any, they can still play together as a guild, and the game could use the already implemented system in PvE to prioritize the people of same server/guild to go to the same instance. There are multiple solutions to the problems that could appear implementing my idea, but I tried to be as simple as possible.

this is easily the worst update u’ve ever made.

Even when it sounds exaggerated, I totally agree, after 5000 hours in GW1, and 4000 hours in GW2, this is the first time an ArenaNet patch make me abandon my main character. I am playing the WvW tournament with a Ranger.

Basically our test servers are the live ones, we are beta testing the game at the moment with our real accounts.

You don’t understand … I’m not complaining about Mesmers.

I’m pointing out the parallels between what you’re complaining about and Mesmer mechanics that have been around since the dawn of the game and have not prevented Mesmers from being strong.

Parallel? mesmers and warriors are so different that the comparison is almost a blasphemy.

If the problem was warriors starting a fight will full adrenaline, nerf damage, nerf whatever you want, I don’t really care, but don’t destroy the main warrior mechanic, and the fun of playing one.

The matter is not HB, but the fact that Adrenal builds (a lot of builds) ALL became UNPLAYABLE.
I can not understand why ANey killed the Adrenaline system.
Let’s reduce by 80% thieves’ stealth or remove completely an Attunement from Eles. Same thing.

This is similar to not letting thieves use stealth out of combat, or start a combat with no initiative. I mean, it’s a game breaking change, to the point of abandoning the class. I don’t care about the percentage reduction of damage, if they want to reduce all damage to half, I will still play, but let me use my adrenaline.

At the time you arrive to the next enemy your adrenaline bar will be empty again…

That’s happening to all levels of warriors at the moment, the sad part is some people think the warrior players are “crying” about “nerfs”, they don’t get this is major game breaking problem.

Sadly, this is a problem ONLY a Warrior player understand, basically the Warrior main mechanic was ruined in this patch. The Warrior is all about adrenaline, when you play it you are always thinking in and checking adrenaline bar, if you start to lose adrenaline to the point you can’t never use the full burst, the Warrior profession is severely ruined, to the point of stop playing.
