Maybe I’m a minority here but I’m of the mind that the keep lord should have very little impact on the fight.
As I said, 100% think DBL lords are annoying, don’t let trolls, and people misunderstanding my post, confuse you.
The HoT expansion added all that things to PvE, that’s ok, because on PvE everybody is your ally, you don’t need to worry about 120 players trying to kill you.
“Annoying” is subjective. You cannot possibly hope the game to be tailored exactly to your subjective tastes, can you?
I’d be surprised to see the majority of wvw players say that the DBL keep lords aren’t annoying. Especially the air keep lords stability stripping ring and annoying teleportation. And this is after it was nerfed too.
I am starting to think Feanor.2358 is trying to troll me or something, it’s not “subjective”, it IS annoying for 100% of players, it’s a fact, as the sun emits light. It’s so obvious, no one want to fight that annoying lords, people do it because there are no alternative.

Actually, is not a sarcasm, it’s a PERFECT description of what I am trying to say.
I fail to see a difference between using the lord’s attack mechanics to your advantage and climbing on a wall when defending. Both aren’t players, both are part of the map/game design. So following your logic, we don’t need either of them. Just remove all terrain features and let players fight on a plane, because this mode is about players fighting each other, right? And it will be more fun, right? Right? Oh well, I failed to put sarcasm aside.
Walls are not annoying.
More generally, while WvW is about people, it is also about territory. There is some territory where one team has an advantage and some territory where another team has it. Lord rooms are meant to give a significant advantage in combat to the home team. Lords are literally the last line of defense. Thus, unless the lord is an actual factor in the fight, it isn’t doing its job.
You can argue that you don’t like the manner in which the NPC accomplishes this, but there’s no point saying that it shouldn’t factor in at all.
That people doing (on air keep lord) is an EXPLOIT, not intended way to kill that lord.
The mechanic of SM lord is the obvious way to go, it’s how it should be in all lords, the more people, the more HP, he doesn’t move, it’s just a sponge of damage, the tactic is prevent players to capture, you focus entirely on killing players (and managing/killing siege), that’s the soul of WvW, not fighting annoying lords.
I’m having a lot of trouble understanding your second paragraph. Specifically, “it’s an 100% sure flaming to people trying to normally kill that lord” doesn’t make much sense to me.
How frequently you play WvW? specifically desert borderlands? People not doing the exploit to kill that lord is flamed and hated, kicked of squad, etc.
Walls and gates are part of the environment as well, what do you think about those?
Part of the tactic, and part of the fun. Impossible to say the same of that teleporting jumping with unnecessary PvE CC annoying lords, that is NOT fun, just ask people, make a poll. That mechanics should be for PvE only maps, not for PvP.
Desert BL is garbage, stands to reason the PVE would be stronk.
I agree 100%, but is already discussed a lot in the forums, ArenaNet decided to punish the red team with that map. Not sure if they want to just delete the map now.

Please make us a favor and remove all the PvE mechanic of lords in desert borderlands.
Specially the one in air keep, causing hate to people not using the exploit to easy kill that lord, it’s an 100% sure flaming to people trying to normally kill that lord. Disgusting.
WvW is about PvP, players are the most important part of WvW maps, we don’t need annoying lords doing unnecessary things. Just copy and paste lords from original borderlands, or remove that map completely.
Already saw a lot of posts of people complaining about female norn greatsword animation, this is about the SPEED of the animation.
When using a greatsword, the speed of animation is slower than it should be, feels like being in combat, the inconsistency of running speed could be confusing, or at least annoying. The solution is speed up the animation, the real movement speed is already normal, the problem is the animation only.

I was reading and then noticed the 3 professions I mainly play are not in the list … not sure if that is good or bad.
Too simple maybe? already died by confusion. NPCs have normal names. The circles are the same for different ranks? it’s confusing at least for me.
BTW, I want an option to show the circles ONLY if more than 20 (to say one number) of players are near me, if not normal nameplates.
That trait is 100% overpowered (and annoying) in WvW, and partially on PvP. If you don’t agree with me, you possibly don’t play WvW/PvP too much, or you have a very good condition removal.

First of all, why this game have “primary healers” now?
Today I tried again on website, I was able to disable this. Got 2 of 3 sms today. In yesterday 2nd try, I got zero of 3 sms.
I got multiple sms with multiple codes but like 2 hours after my login attempt. Now I am again trying and the same problem is happening, not really sure if the solution is wait 2 hours with the game launcher open until I get the code, because if I close it and login again, it generate a new one.

I didn’t got the SMS from Arenanet (first time this happens), but I don’t see any “resend” option as normally all authentication systems have.
Do I need to wait or what? how I resend a new code? I think my phone is missing some sms today so I need to resend.

This is a very old bug, sometimes if you use Escape key to remove a selected target, it just does NOT work, and you need to use the key a second time. This happens mainly in situations with a lot of action, like in WvW.
There are two annoyances about this, first you could end doing a wrong leap to a target that was not removed by escape key, you could die for that, second, the menu could popup in the middle of something when trying repeatedly to deselect your target, because it use the same key, you could die for that too.
Why not just permanently reduce the amount of servers?
Example: 9 servers = Tiers 1, 2 and 3.
Why the game don’t just add player to lower division match? is that unfair? well, add a fictitious ruby icon to that player at the end, no one will notice.

No need for platinum or anything, the single class per team should be for the full league. Look at eSport games like dota/lol, only one per team, no repeats. Problem: This could make queues longer.

You people need to try harder to convince me expending 1000g to craft a PvP reward is acceptable. In my opinion is a joke, a bad one. Not going to change my mind about it.
If I ever get 1000g playing PvP, be sure I am not going to expend all that gold in that wings, obviously, the game has a lot of better things to use the gold. I was imagining The Ascension as an item to show people “I play PvP”, not “I am rich”. Bye, and have fun.

Errr its not a PVP item. Since you dont need any items for pvp. Its a PVE backpiece that ANET in their wisdom made as a reward for PVP leagues.
You need to play PvP to get it, that’s what I mean, you should be able to craft it just by playing the league.
So, now I need to farm gold? not sure if someone is understanding the point here: 1000 gold to craft a PvP based item? WHY? 4 years playing and rarely have more than 200g, hello! I am a normal player ArenaNet! that ones that play for fun.

After many hours playing the 3 PvP league seasons, I finally completed the 4 tiers of achievements, did 3 of 4 of the items needed for The Ascension, and suddenly I notice the 4th item cost like 1000 gold (one thousand gold) to make? seriously? How in this world a PvPer is going to make 1000g?
Alpine borderland is just a perfect map strategically, for small, solo and big teams, the desert one is just a labyrinthine chaos. The rest of the questions, whatever is done, I will adapt.
The top-right chest icon on mini-map has an instant mouse-over time (should be at least 500ms) and interferes when trying to click a reward chest, etc. IMO, it’s extremely annoying, specially in WvW:
That video includes only the wins, plus mostly versus Heralds that are extremely vulnerable to boon corruption, because the easy mode boon spam. Everything that spam boons will be vulnerable to that. Anyway, the video is fun.

1. Revert borderlands map to the old one (I know the new one was a lot of work, sorry about that, but I don’t like it, only like the graphics)
2. Add PvP reward track to WvW (just copy and paste the PvP one, excluding the PvP only track lines, adding WvW only ones)
3. Reduce the number of Worlds to 6? (that for sure will fix population problems, keep the top 6 and gives free transfers to the rest)
Basically the Moa make you 100% useless and vulnerable for 10 (TEN) seconds. Don’t need to be too smart to see how extremely overpowered it is. A rank 1 can kill the best player in the world with this elite.
I just noticed an Engineer can finish with BOTH gyro and normally (it’s like 2 players finishing), making impossible to prevent the finish in a 1vs1, is that intended or a bug?
I don’t see any ball of light when I’m getting stomped by a gyro. And my graphics are basically on the highest settings. And yes, I am looking for it. The only time I see the “ball of light stomp” from a Scrapper is from the scrapper himself, never the gyro.

Well, maybe for you, but in the middle of a fight it’s 10000% more obvious when you see someone normally finishing you, than this (no idea what arenanet was thinking) thing.
Suggestion for ArenaNet:
Could you PLEASE make Function Gyro more VISIBLE when the finish is being performed by engineer? Not sure if something is wrong but I can’t see anything when an engineer is finishing me with that.
I noticed 99% of players are still using elite specializations in PvP, example, all guardians are still all trappers with bow, and don’t play anything else, just one single build, don’t even swap weapon in all match. Really sad to see this in Guild Wars, a game known by the freedom of build customization.
BTW, why we now have FOUR (4) stats on amulets? and not the classic 3? Is not that decision complicating the things even more?
My suggestion is simple: Don’t make elite specialization mandatory to play, let us play with the multiple specializations/traits combos we want, don’t force people to use one single build per profession.
After the update making ranking team based on the highest player, I notice now people party with low division players (that could be PvP experts with alternative accounts) to make the game think they have small possibilities to win, so if they win they get 3 pips, and the worst part, make the enemy lose 3 pips.
I don’t really care anymore, because after hundreds of matches stuck in ruby as a solo player, I already abandoned the league. My intention is to make you (ArenaNet) fix this for the next.

Noob spamming traps can kill in 2 seconds a rank 80 that was fighting 5 minutes with an immortal ele immune to everything.
This is a balance problem, I like to play core necro, I love it, and still works, but I cannot say the same of my warrior, my favorite build of all times (3 years) in this game is useless now, I can’t kill ANYTHING at all, it’s a joke now.

It will be based on the mastery system. If you have gliding mastery in maguuma, you’ll have it in Tyria.

Earlier in development you needed to earn a new Mastery ability to glide in Central Tyria, but we changed that so that the Gliding masteries you already earned just work in Central Tyria by default. I thought you were referring to that, and not the blog post.If they feel left out, they can always buy the expansion and get it. A business doesn’t hand out for free things that are the big attractions for an expansion.
Interesting info. So ArenaNet was actually doing the RIGHT thing first, then changed mind to force people to buy expansion. For me it’s really obvious, the core Tyria masteries was originally intended for everyone for free, the red icons versus green icons, etc.

I can’t start with an immobilize, or with fear, that are basically the starters of my combos; My wells are all useless to cast, ALL staff skills are 100% useless versus that one single trait. Also, it’s hard to make the first 10% damage to someone that have all boons of the game 24/7 and spam auras.

That “mmr tanking” is only a problem before ruby, no? Now, the premades are a problem, a real one, but at least they are going to be of your division, I suppose, and not legendary people with an amber (that is also legendary because is using alternative account)
