I don’t think so, most people on WvW use Soldier items, that means they only have Power and will be doing very similar damage, maybe a small additional percentage. Only the “glass cannons” players will be doing double damage, that’s OK to me, because being one is a big risk in WvW (that’s what I call balance). Also, the siege/gates HP could be balanced too.

It would only change the meta to more PvD.

That will reveals the attack to enemy (orange swords).

I think logically it doesn’t make sense. A critical hit is supposed to be the equivalent of hitting an enemy in their weak spot. It doesn’t really make sense that a gate would have a “weak spot” like a living thing does.

As far as game balance goes weapon attacks are not really the intended way to take a gate down. I suggest you get siege might and be one of the guys on the rams.

Your post has sense, but doors have weak spots, at least the ones in real life.

Additionally to this, 90% of the damage is done by rams, not players (in a zerg) so here is not so important how hard a player hits, the critical would be very helpful when soloing or in small teams, when you are running out there and want to solo kill a treb, for example, if you have no Power, you will need double time to kill it, or killing the siege after you cap a tower, or killing rams when defending, etc. without Power takes forever to kill a single ram.

You can’t be a jack of all trades and also a master of them all.

I am not asking for that. Precision and Power are balanced in a way you can do similar damage having full precision or full power (or double damage having both but the balance here is being a glass cannon) but this only works versus players, npcs, etc, versus siege is unbalanced.

The problem with allow to crit on gates would allow other builds to hit gates much harder and wouldn’t balance it out. While you have enough precision to crit often, you don’t have the 100%+ crit damage other builds have.

It does suck, its one of the reasons I do not run condi builds with the zerg.

As I said above, there are a balance to the people having both Power and Precision, they are glass cannons. About being forced to play Power builds (not playing conditions build just for this reason) is a big problem, bigger than criticals hitting gates.

I have a full (all items) rabid build (Condition Damage/Precision/Toughness), as you can see, the build has no Power.

I am OK with siege, gates, etc, being immune to conditions, but not having Power make me hit too low because the unnecessary immunity to critical. I think is more balanced to allow criticals to siege, gates, etc., that way everybody will do similar damage.

This affects me not only in WvW, but also in sPvP, when you need to destroy the gate to kill lord, or kill the treb, if you don’t have Power, you can seriously notice the lack of damage.

What champ train? I just play WvW. Are you trolling? because I don’t see where you want to go with your comments. I don’t play PvE.

Then you don’t really have any need for the dust anyway nor did you need the karma that it replaced in the loot tables. Just delete it and carry on? I don’t get what the fuss is all about?

I’m not sure if you are getting the point. In some days everybody will be massively deleting this bloodstone dust of inventory, it will stop to be “the new thing” to become “the annoying thing”, I am just anticipating the future.

Everything you salvage should be sell-able in some way, trading post, merchant, if you are not interested in using the item directly in crafting, mystic forge, etc. This helps everyone in the game and build an economy.

Because you can’t. Either level to 450 and refine or trash them.

Why add an item to the game that I must destroy by hundreds everytime I salvage my inventory? let’s see what happens when everybody get the 500 level in crafting (excluding me, because I have no plan to level up crafting at the moment)

I was going to make a new thread and found this one. I have the same question, I want full Carrion items, that’s the stat I need in my build right now, but there’s no ascended version of it. Why?

Not even an alternative, only 2 ascended items combo has maxed condition damage, and none of these has power at the same time.

I was expecting a different tradeable mini per character, to sell immediately. I was even thinking if this maybe is a bug? getting the human queen mini even on non human characters? 100% no sense.

This is another one of that things that are better in GW1.

Sadly my money is that they will be a large advantage. This is based on how anet has handled things in the past (poorly). Being forced to pve to enjoy wvw is a bad idea.

My goal is to eliminate the latter scenario. And I promise to do as much as I can to meet that.

Don’t forget some people (like myself) are not interested the fancy weapons skins, but having the ascended STATS on the weapons as soon as possible to be 100% effective PvPing (in WvW). So, I expect to be able to get a cheap, ugly skin weapon with ascended stats, fast after update, with karma/badges. If I only want stats, why I would farm this or pay big amount of gold for it? I don’t want to show the weapon to others, just be 100% effective in battle. Plus I don’t use only one weapon, I use three all the time, and sometimes change to two more weapons, for a total of five weapons I need with maxed stats (I will feel inferior not having the maximum stats available, for months maybe? until I am able to craft the five weapons? and then overwrite the skin with something I like more?).

Well, I hope the difference (in stats) between ascended and exotic weapons is not too much. Because I am not getting a legendary (not interested), and looks like the ascended weapons will be time consuming to get.

I bet ascended weapons will have the same complains as old ascended items, until they add a Badges of Honor version of ascended weapons (they should upgrade the exotic ones you get on NPCs to ascended version (or add), doesn’t matter if the skin is ugly, and make that weapons cost more badges, so PvEers don’t complain, a balance)

- Escort 500,000 supply caravans
- Capture 1,000,000 objectives.
- Capture Stonemist Castle 25,000 times. <- this is my favorite! hahaha! plus the reward is 25 points!

If you cap SM one time per day, you will need 68 YEARS to get this 25 points, I will die first (in real life), unless immortality is invented, before completing that.

My first thought was WvW. Legendaries will be buffed to ascended status, that’s a little avantage in WvW, but you could just get an ascended weapon to have the same, BUT how expensive is that? do I will be forced to “farm” to have the same stats of PvEers?

Not sure if this post should be here, anyway, I don’t like the “Search this forum” system of this website, it looks cool because you can get results in real time, but normally I never use it, because I can’t find what I want. Something more “standard” like showing a results page, would be more useful in my opinion, plus at the same time reduce the amount of post with similar discussion.

When you need to salvage a lot of loot, you get a confirmation window many times, what about ask only if the item is exotic? or add an option for it? I don’t need that confirmation window at all, only if maybe I salvage something expensive (like a level 80 exotic) by mistake. That confirmation window double the time to salvage a full inventory (unless someone has a tip to speed this up)

Could you please make the daily/monthly achievement tracker stay in the top right corner when I manually select another achievements to track?

I have never used this feature yet because of this, I like the daily/monthly tracker, it’s very useful, I also like it disappears when I get the reward (laurels). But if I select one single achievement to manually track it, the daily/monthly tracker disappears of the screen, and I can’t see what I must complete for daily if I don’t go to achievement panel or manually select all dailies every day.

My bug reports are not sent.

When I send a bug report, I am 99% sure the game client send nothing (looking at network activity), plus all bugs I report are never fixed.

I have the game set to Spanish, I sometimes report translation bugs, plus another game bugs (not anymore because I feel I am losing my time)

Also, I have a theory of maybe ArenaNet secretly ban accounts (report ability) that report too much, or report in an inappropriate way. I reported a lot in the first days of the game, then I noticed this.

I want replay function in game, GW1 record matches and you can see later. Of course I want something more like on LoL, a full replay you can pause, speed up, backward, move camera, etc. Even save to hard disk to share, load the replay in game. Even very old RTS games have the functionality, why not GW2? this type of replay not even need the internet connection or server resources (of course the GW1 way is useful too, imagine you can just enter game right now and watch MistLeague or PAX matches how many times you want, of the angle you want, etc)

I want selectable color and/or a different icon depending of commander WvW rank. At the moment there are no way to know if someone with a “blue icon in the head” is a “pro” or a “newbie”, excluding when you know that commander, and played in the past.

Also, why the commander can use the pin everywhere? even in sPvP! lol Make a different color/icon for commanders that are pro in PvE, like Dungeon Masters, or people with completed map, or good rank on WvW.

Agree. This could sound arrogant or something, but is not my intention: JQ must be “sticked” on the top in the matching system.

Is not only for the good of JQ, is for the good of ALL community. Doesn’t matter if JQ is superior or is not superior, or if a server is better or not, is pure logic: JQ in the second team is obviously not good for WvW.

You cannot make a “Mike Tyson vs Óscar de la Hoya” match, and is not because Tyson is “better” or “superior” or “tier 1”, is because he is bigger and stronger.

For example, Maguuma is not even trying to fight us, they should be playing PvE/sPvP or another game if they play WvW only.

Anyway, I created this thread in a personal way, not to discuss server superiority, as title say: “Let me play in T1”. That’s all I want, give me a free temporal transfer to BG or SoR, or rollback that bad matching system for the next match.

Quit whining. No one really cares.

About JQ not being T1, well, that’s the first server that comes to my mind when someone ask about tiers, it’s a very obvious tier 1 server. Actually the only real T1 if you ask me, the others depend of one guild, and stay in T1 for some weeks or months and then go to bottom (if that guild leave, disband or transfer). That never happen to JQ.

I think the new matching system is bad, even when I’m (we’re) winning.

Warrior adrenaline bug (Healing Surge)

I noticed an annoying bug with Warrior adrenaline bar. Normally it stays full for a long time until you use it, you can use Healing Surge prior to fight and the bar stay full.

But, sometimes the adrenaline bar bug and start to fall immediately, even in battle, exactly after you use Healing Surge.

I don’t know how to reproduce this bug, this (the adrenaline bar bugged, and stay bugged) happened to me 2 times in 1 week, one in PvP and one in WvW. The ONLY way I know to fix it is going to different instance/map/loggin off, if not, the bug stay forever doesn’t matter how many times you use adrenaline or enter combat while you stay in the same map, this is particularity annoying in WvW when you need to queue to reenter map.

Edit: Tested with Berserker Stance, same problem, adrenaline falling immediately, even when I am still in battle. It just bugged again in EB WvW, needed to move to other map to fix.

Maybe this is even easy to implement, because the game already can send people to “overflow” that is a special instance apart of the server ones; It’s basically the same thing to use that same instance but for merging people of under populated zones, not to put people of over populated zones, is the same, it’s already in the game, just need some tweak:

  • If a zone have too many players, you are redirected to special instance.
  • If a zone have a few players, you are redirected to special instance.

You can see is basically the same thing.

I agree ArenaNet must do something for “fixing” the under populated areas of the game. The daily achievements that send you to a zone are ineffective, and the live story is effective for one area for just some days. Something more radical must be done, like merging all servers players in one instance of an area, if that area is empty in that servers at the moment (exactly the opposite of overflow)

I am here just for the title: “Remove PvP in WvW” Hahaha! it’s like: “Remove the water of the sea”.

Only ArenaNet could do here is (I don’t want this) remove the need of WvW for map completion, or exclude (I don’t want this) WvW achievements of the leaderboard and/or rewards. With the “I don’t want this” I mean I am perfectly ok with how it works right now, because I play WvW 99% of time I am logged in the game, but I can understand how the PvEers could suffer.

Well, I hope ArenaNet read my post, because people commenting here don’t look too much interested in my suggestion, even when I am completely sure they would love this implemented (if they use multiple profession all the time). No valid reason for the skills not being movable of position.

If the reason is PvP/eSport (because I don’t see why PvE needs this) I can tell I play a lot PvP/WvW, and if an enemy Warrior has skill 1 on slot 2, I don’t really care at all, believe me, I don’t see what’s the reasoning in this.

There’s no way to get any difference if you move the skills, you already can with the utility ones, what’s the difference if your skill is in 7, 8 or 9 position? absolutely nothing, same apply to all weapon skills, if I move skill 1 to 2 (and 2 to 1) no one even notice it, the only difference is how comfortable I am.

Keybinding for this is a bad idea, and confusing, specially if you change professions all the time as I do (a new keybind would be needed every time)

Who said that? I better don’t tell you how much I played GW1.

I just want to MOVE the icon from 2 to 3, etc., the position. The 5 skills will still be the same 5 skills.

To say one example, when you are used to Ranger greatsword, you use skill 3 to jump (leap), after hundreds of hours doing that, you make a Warrior and decide to use sword, that have the jump in skill 2. You get the idea? … and the annoyance?

Why I can not just move the skills position like in GW1? come on! I BET it is already in the game because you (ArenaNet) used GW1 as base for GW2, but for some reason you blocked skill positions.

I have 8 characters (1 per profession), so you can understand this is a serious issue for me, I don’t want to relearn everything when I change professions.

Please ensure that your in-game mailbox is not full. If you have a full mailbox, containing 10+ in-game mail messages, the two Candidate messages will not save.

This is a bug because if you have full mail, you don’t get new mails at all, excluding the story/events ones, until you delete them; When you delete, you start receiving the new ones. In this case that didn’t happen, the message arrived as a story/event one ignoring the full mail status, but is not marked ingame as an event/story one (that stay forever and ignore full mail), but a normal mail with a item.

Yes they can be looted from mobs but those emails actually included some info and free tokens.

Exactly, I wasn’t able to even read the mails. Now I am getting tokens my character has no idea what to do (Me, the player, know because of internet, but my character is lost

Me too. I loged with my Necro, saw the mails and closed without getting the items on it to log with my Ranger (main) to proceed with new content. Now the mail disappeared on both characters. I am now lost, no idea what to do with the voting thing, and no tokens.

(no time to read this all, but I have a suggestion)

I don’t want my daily/monthly tracker hidden when I select other achievements to track. I hate that, and that’s the reason I don’t use the tracker at all, to be able to see the daily/monthly tracker. One word: Annoying.
