Hey Amins i need ur opinion.
So i have my friend, Frontliner Guardian with Hammer + X. X Normally depend on P Size. Either Scepter(Duo) or GS(3++ Team). Normally i run with 2Guardians, 3Man Party. Me as Hitter, 1x Tank Role and 1x Support Role. On Prev Patch Pure Of Voice[PoV] removed 2condis/ shout so my Healer and my Tank bring Protection Shout and Stability Shout. The last slot of Utils are Blink for Frontliner and Wall of Reflect for Healer. Using this setup Condis is not really a problem. As Hitter my self i also bring Arcane Thievery. Steal 3boons from enemy and give 3condis on u to that enemy or sometimes Null field depend on my mood.
Then ANET Fix the PoV. Now become only 1condi/shout. From 8condis removal every 26s now only 4. A huge loss. So i changed my Frontliner Guard utils become Blink, Save ur self, Stability and my HEaler become Purging, Stability, Protection. As Golden Rule of any MMORPG in pvp “Always kill the easiest target first” That’s mean enemy always try to kill me 1st. So my Frontliner need to wait until i got condi bombed then Saveurself so far this setup still good for Condis in Team Play.
So about this Frontliner Guardian. The only shout affected by PoV Only Stability. So 1condi removal Team/ 24s. So do u think it’s worth to keep the PoV? My Guardian has 56% Condi dura reduction from Hoel 20% + Food 36%.
My option if i remove Pov.
1. Aegis heal on removal [Vit trait]
2. Blind Gives Vul [Precision Trait]
3. Reta last Longer? [Special Trait]

1. Mesmer body is not that strong to take damage and return the reta. Treat Reta as a Bonus.
2. Interupt > Mantra. U must be careful with that.
3. The more Defensive side u have the weaker ur offensive side. Having a lot of Stealth can’t guarantee a win but can guarantee an escape
4. 40% is so so. My Guardian is 40% Rate.
My thou about DEF.
Below 2,2k = Pure Glass. 1 enemy hitter can take easily
2,3-2,4k = Standard Backliner DEF. Still squishy but still ok for Hitter Role. Normally need around 2-3 enemy hitters to spike u at once to kill u(Except Thief? Maybe?).
2,7k = Standard Melee Frontliner with Hitter Role.
3k = Tank
About VIT Vs DEF can;t say much. I found DEF is better if u have Healer on ur side. More about EHP talk i think. But at least as a Mesmer i think 16k base HP is good assume u have DEF and Condi Removal.
It seems… iBerserker gained Whirlwind Finisher again. Only 1bolt at the end of the attack and it’s random direction.
Tested Mantra on Zerging with 1year Version Build.
Changed Halting Strike with Harmonious Mantra.
I only use Stability sharing and Condi Removal Mantra.

The only thing i hate from Rune of traveler is u run so fast. If u are the Leader u will run faster and left ur Allies Behind. Or when zerging i Accidentally run faster than Commander and got yelled T__T
For the Boon Dura and Condi dura i found the balance is so nice for my build. Losing 1 Lightning Strike coz this Traveler = Nice trade

Tried 30Power/ 20 Prec/ 20 DEF Traits for Mantra last night coz basicaly it’s my New MSS Trait setup. Too lazy to change the trait.
I changed the Halting Strike into Harmonius Mantra. 3x Charge/ Mantra
Utilities Blink, Stability Mantra, Cleanse Mantra.
I have 4x stun break in total. Really nice IMO.
Team formation is like 10H, 6 EL + Necro, 3 Mes. Around 20-25total Players i think. Other 2 Mesmer bring Veil coz i bring Mantra.
My role is Sniper while keeping Backliner safr with Stability and Condi removal.
There are 5type of Support in GW2 IMO. Healing, Prot Sharing, Offensive Boon Sharing, Stability Sharing and Condi Removal Allies. I only take 2, Stability Sharing and Condi Removal On Allies. Sure i can take all those 4 but it will make my Class 100% Support and i don’t want it. I still want to drop damage with my GS.
I had around 5-15 FPS in zerg fight coz both Allies and Enemy numbers are huge. But with this 4x Stun BReak and Quick 2Condis removal i still can move into Commander Pin.
Overall i like this new mantra. Really nice. Too bad the Radius only 240. For “Recharging” Mantra part. This is zerging. U can recharge while running tightly with ur Zerg.
Mantra radius for condi cleanse and stab only 240… Hikz… That’s too small T__T. Well it’s fine. Just gonna use it for zerging anyway.

Average stat for MEsmer (Normaly with food)
Crit rate 50%, Crit damage 80% ++, Power… Depend on trait.
Opinion for DEF.
Below 2,2k = Glass
2,2 ~ 2,5k = Still squishy. But not glass. Standard Backline DEF
2,5- 2,7k = Moderate. Standard Frontline DEF
3k = Tank
No u are not wrong. Mesmer shooting ability is fantastic coz u can;t be blocked by enemy anti projectile like Feedback or Wall of reflection. Sure the damage is lower compared Ranger or Rifle WA but in term of Flexibility and fast reaction GS Mesmer is good at range.
U just need the 2nd weapon set to cover ur GS Weakness which is “Very bad at melee range” It’s normal coz every enemy will try to melee u assume they know how GS Mesmer works. When “Here come the melee” Situation comes. Weapon swap is 1of the choice to do.
For me i prefer to combine Offensive stat and Defensive stat. Being Hybrid with 2 diff offensive type is kinda… Weird for teamplay. There are 2 Offensive stat which are Power Based and Condi Based. I dunno if u mix those 2 will good or not. Ur Power damage will be lower than “Pure Power based” and Ur COndi damage will be smaller than “Pure COndi Based”. For solo maybe okay. Not to mention also there’re some weapons that only good in the hand of Power Build and Vice versa. The only Weapon in Mesmer kitten nal good for both Power and Condi in my taste probably only Staff and Scepter.
I like being hybrid in term of offensive stat and defensive stat. That;s mean i;m not FULL Tank nor FULL Burst. I;m something in the middle. If enemy decide to burst me i can “React” coz i have some DEF and if my team decide to Burst the enemy we can downed the target. That’s the result of being hybrid in term of offense and defense. Even we are hybrid we still have “Roles” in team play. Someone need to initiate and tank(Bunker RoLe), Someone need to deal huge damage compared other members (Hitter Role), and Someone need to support in case “Oh kitten” Situation comes from enemy side(Support/ Healer Role).
In teamplay/ Zerging CC is really important. Not damage, Def, Burst but CC. Well this is my Guild thought and i completely agree with it.
There are 2 CC for me. Soft and Hard
Soft CC = Enemy can still control the Char but performance become really bad. Example = Chilling, Criple, Daze, Weakness? Confuse?
Hard CC = Enemy completely lost control of the Char.
Example = Stun, Pull, Launch, Knock back
GS has 2 CC, 1 Soft and 1hard while Staff only have 1CC and it’s random. GS Really good for zerging/ Team play if u want to become Hitter Role.
As for second weapon set well i dunno what to say coz i haven’t find best weapon for zerging. Dual Swords for zerging is too lame. Probably Staff + GS is good but u will spend most of the time in backline. Well i have habit to run with frontline sometimes esp when using Sword. Bravery at its finest. Well i;m thinking Focus off hand thou for pull and keeping Sword Main Hand.
As for roaming part it’s natural. Coz GS is Sniping Weapon. In Every MMORPG when a Ranged class got melee ed = Ur chance of losing increased. But GW2 has weapon swap feature… So u can choose ur 2nd Weapon option wisely esp when “Oh here come the melee” Situation comes. As for me i use Dual Swords coz it turns me into “Pure Melee Combatant”
U can try for Rune of traveler. Expensive but the movement speed is so good. The Condi Dura also can raise ur Criple duration from iBerserker. At 40% it will become 1,5s / hit.

Well my advice… Plz consider a Stability esp in team play.
Next.. Might sharing. Sure u can use bountiful interupt to gain lot of might but according to my exp to interupt 5 people at once is hard. If u can interupt more than 3people at once probably ur enemy has no Guardian aka Stability Sharing. While my Guardian is using Staff + Mace and Shield. From Staff he can use Empower to provide his team 12stack of might for 10s base with 20s CD but in most case he use empower together with stability shout so he can;t be interupted and in the end of empower it will heal around 3k coz Empower healing is 1:1 with Healing power.

Pull – Temp. Curtain is an AoE pull, which is a huge difference.. Plus with Bountiful Interruption, that one pull can easily net 15+ Might in a zerg battle. Same with the GS.
I kinda don’t get this part…. Guardian GS Pull is also AOE pull as long the 1st blade land properly into enemy as long the guard is not blinded and enemy didn;t dodge. Well same with Focus thou if enemy dodge or the mesmer blinded. 2 points. I don’t really agree if Mes can pull better from Guardian, But if we are talking SUpport Mesmer with Focus vs My Healer Guardian. yes ur Support Mesmer can pull while my Healer can;t

Problem with support mesmer probably there’re 2.
1. Flexibility
Sure u can heal and share boon but u are not as flexible like Guardian. Example in Guardian case, Guardian can still use skills while he is removing Condis, Give boon and healing allies with dodge. While Mesmer need to do nothing for 2,75s to heal allies?
2. Threat Lv
Both my Healer Guardian and this Mesmer probably has no threat in term of damage. Enemy simply will skip u and hit ur Hitters. But my Guardian can heal Allies faster coz Guardian is more flexible and provide quick Prot or stability Boon while Mesmer need to be more careful since Mesmer boon sharing is every 36s with trait.

Reflects – Even untraited, the Warden still destroys projectiles, which is great as there’s some projectiles that can’t be reflected and can still be destroyed. But even then we just have far more options for reflections. And Feedback’s dome shape gives it more advantage over Wall of Reflect.
Again i;m so so with this. Feedback has better position coz right in enemy side but lower duration(6-8s) while Guard’s wall has better duration(10-11/12) but sucks at positioning. Well normaly my Guardian walk normaly into center of the battle then drop his wall. iWarden… Like all phantasm got destroyed easily in teamplay? But i;m not gonna talk about Phantasm assume ur role is not hitter. But point to note i dunno if u can take Mimic/ F4 reflect to account coz that’s only benefit urself aka can’t protect ur teammates. The purpose doing Anti Projectile stuff is to protect Entire Team from Enemy projectile right? Well maybe u can use mimic then stand in front ur friend to “COver” from projectile…. But….
Boons – Staff alone is 6 of the 9 boons in the game. Staff, Inspiration III (You’re gonna be traiting Inspiration in many most Mesmer support builds.) + Altruism Runes and you’re good to go in many cases. As for the stealth = Protection. I personally use Veil in my build and tend to average about 15 secs of Protection on my own without wasting Mass Invis (and in that 6 second stealth I just AoE healed for 6k+).
2 Utilities slot for 15/36. While my Guardian probably only 6/28 and probably the last ur util slot will be Stability Mantra? Plz be note also i only bring Guardian shouts to the table. Still no weapons and Class skills.
Okay i’m starting to get the pic of this New Support Mesmer. I;m gonna try my best to neutral for this comparison.
Can share stability like Guardian.
Can share Prot like Guardian.
For these 2point i won’t say which 1is better. Mesmer maybe have longer dura but the method giving the boon kinda not “Flexible”
Assume this Mesmer utilities are Veil, Signet share boon and Stability Mantra. U have no Condi removal for the team. Actually Guardian AOE Condi removal from Pure of Voice is not that good, Only 1condi/ shouts but lately it became bugged to remove 2condis/ shout. Either a bug or a feature to fight the massive Condis in this current Meta i don;t know but i dun mind to remove 2condis/ shout since i’m not COndi damager Role. Pure of voice probably the most standard Team Condi removal aka most Guardian take it. F2 guardian can remove 3condis but since my HEaler guardian didn;t take that trait let’s just leave it alone.

Stability is an ally-supportive boon, it has no direct effect on enemies.
For me it has. Nothing more embarasing than got pulled by GS Guardian then got Massive AOE Spike from enemy team. But if u don’t consider it as “Enemy control” Well it’s fine
Weakness/Poison/Cripple/Pull/Dazes/Blind/Knockback/Ect. is control.. all of which we have.
Guardian can Pull equal like Mesmer. But i must admit Guardian GS Pull is easier compared to Mesmer Focus Pull. Enemy range from Center of the Curtain (Focus #4)really matters. Guardian has Ring of Warding and Line of Warding, Enemy can;t pass throu it except on Stability. Blind… Guardian has Blind and it’s AOE. Knock back Thief from their house? They have their shield also.
We have two skills on a 20s cooldown (Traited Focus) that can reflect. Two wardens with Phantasmal Haste can put up perma reflection. Other reflect sources Medic’s Feedback, Feedback, Mimic, Reflect on Distortion.
I kinda so so with this. Maybe coz i simply like “Flexibility” and focus for my taste is not that “Flexible” While Guardian using 1x Walls for 10s dura while can choose whatever weapons he like for both Slots. Sure u can beat “Guardian Reflect” but u sacri 1of ur Off hand and maybe 20points for trait to beat 10point of trait. Well again… “Flexibility” Well at least i already stated my point for this reflect part. NExt…
By them lacking our boon support, I mean the fact that we can share all the boons in the game on our own in addition to what others can provide us. Stability is great and all, but Protection is better damage mitigation (and we can provide longer lasting Protection than guards)
What if there’s no “Others”? Are u gonna make ur own boon using Decoy + mass invis? Then 1of ur allies downed. U need mass invis to revive him coz stability can take him out and “Sorry i already wasted my mass invis to create Prot Boons” Probably yes u can make longer Prot dura from Guardian but… Wasting mass invis and Decoy and Torch Stealth…
Stability is literally the only boon they can apply better than us besides Aegis.. and with the changes to MoConcentration (A potential 9seconds of AoE Stability every 20 secs) that’s likely to change. Boon removal they can do better than us… for now, and even that is debatable depending on the Mesmer. (Shattered Conditions + Null Field )
Guardian boon removal… What….?? Condi removal maybe..??
9s AOE Stability within 23s? Hmm okay cool enough coz my Healer Guardian probably only 7,5/ 24s (50% Boon dura).
The reason why i ask is simply i’m wondering. Can this “New Support” Mesmer replace my Healer Guardian Role in my Team? I can provide my Healer Guardian data for comparison if u want.

Ugh…. “Enemy control” Currently only Guardian can share Stability to team. For me Stability can be categorized as “Enemy Control” Simply makes all enemy CC become nothing.
Reflect part. I say it’s 50-50. Guardian has 10s walls while Mesmer only 6s? But Guardian’s wall positioning is hard while Mesmer Feedback is easy just push it. With 1trait Guardian get Wall -20% and last longer while Mesmer need 2x traits for -20% and last longer.
Boon Support…. Is this boon sharing where basicaly u give boons to allies? Guardian Prot and stabilitys shout simply too good for teamplay. Not to mention Pure of voice too remove 1condi/ shout. I don’t think Guardian lack of boon support :S Tell me more about this

Anet acknowledged this but also stated that mesmer has one of the highest damage evasion and mitigation in the game and to give them more ways to do this would be overpowered. Thus the reason we haven’t seen more condition removal options with our class.
Yes! Arcane thievery now Steal 4boons and transfer 4Condis. Plz Anet make this happen. Also i don’t reject if Anet remove the Evade and Blind part of this skills. Confuse + Blind = Hurt me a lot

vs Shatter Build (who Spent 30Special Traits)
If this build has same DEF Like me around 2300-2400 that’s mean this Build damage will deal 25% – 30% weaker damage compared to my Build and normally i abuse that to stay at range. If they have same Offensive stat like me then this build is GC and will take a lot of damage from my Phantasm

Vs Perismatic Understanding Build (20 Power, 20 Prec, 30 DEF)
I must admit this build is simply the hardest for me since this build share same CORE with my MSS build which is High damage while keep Moderate DEF,DPS Based and have condi removal. Phantasm can;t keep up with their Stealth, Thou Torch Phantasm is weak but Torch STealth ability Helped a lot to run and land Blurred Frenzy easier. This Build prefer long fight aka can;t burst anyone fast but can;t be taken out fast too. Either Power Build or Condi Build both of them are annoying. In Most scenario i must know their def 1st. If they have Same DEF like me Or better then i prefer to kill his Allies 1st. Simply coz hitting this Build gonna take time and u need better Aim to land ur SKills eventhou u are a Shooter. Their method of damaging from this build also vary. SOme of them just use Power based Skills like Phantasm, Sword #2. Some of them use Trait “CLone give bleed 3stack when died” + Scepter if they are Condi based.

LOl at “briliant Comeback” NAh i just created a build that i like and share it. I;m not interested to make multiple build coz simply i really love with GS. The fact that many Mesmer can’t use this GS Simply makes me happy and feel “Special” Maybe..
As for build i only “Upgrade” it not make NEW. In most scenario when i make a new build it will be stronger than previous 1 even thou the playstyle is same. My goal is always to create a build that can adapt at any situation and handle every class well. Jack of all trades. Yes but in hand of Good people it simply a build without a weakness but don;t have strong point. But the fact don;t have a weakness makes this build hard to take down. The more u live, the more contribution u can give XD~
In term of Mesmer Community dictionary MSS Build is 1/4 SHatter 1/4 Interupt 1/4 Shooter and 1/4 Phantasm. I treat 4of them equally >.<
At least RIOT started to use Guardian. That’s a Good start. Also that SnK Theme song was so OP =="
Sigil Of Doom = Poison 5s when swap.
Weak vs Blind since ur next atk gonna miss, Same with Block/ Invul.
Sigil of Geomancy = AOE Bleed atk when swap.
If i;m not mistaken this sigil does AOE damage + Bleed when swap, no? If yes this sigil can help a little vs Blind esp if u do “Got Blinded – Decoy – Swap weapon near Enemy(Blind Removed) – Summon Phantasm” Since it’s pretty hard to remove Blind using Melee skill

And Yes. I Have Halting Strike Traits.
So I met a Math Wizard. With His Magic i lost 5% Total damage but gained 15% Phantasm damage and also my Server Tier droped. It was really fun fighting non T1 enemies. Really refreshing and give me more inspiration. But in the end i just felt i belong to T1.

Mesmer lack of “% Damage Trait” compared other class.
Example from Warrior’s Trait=
- GreatSword damage +10%
- Increases damage to bleeding foes by 10%.
- Hammer damage is increased by 25% when a foe is disabled. Reduces cooldown of hammer skills by 20%
- Deal 3% bonus damage per boon on your target.
- Increased damage based on how much adrenaline you have built.
And many more.
While on Mesmer? Not many option like that.
In term of Sniping/ Shooting Ability
GS mesmer can’t be blocked by Anti projectile compared to other Shooter Classes.
Well that’s one Pros :S

Well this is RPG Game. Role Playing Game. MMORPG Coz it’s Online and Massive. U just need to find what role u like most. GW2 doesn’t use “Holy Trinity” Rules. It’s a rule like Stone paper scisor. Stone beat Scissor. Scissor beat Paper and Paper beat Stone. In RPG it’s like Support, Hiter, and Bunker. The meaning GW2 doesnt use holy trinity is simply every class in GW2 can choose their own ROLE by using correct traits. For example of no Holy Trinity in GW2 is like Mesmer Can heal Allies Using Mantra, Guardian can heal Allies using Dodge/ Staff Empower, Enginer can Heal Allies using water field + Blast Finisher. Every class has its own way. Just like that.
TL:DR – Every class is good.
I dunno if i can give u 5…. But i can only give 2.

Simply too Good. The clone we created can be used in many ways according to our F Mechanics. Kinda useful too for teamplay to confuse enemies.
Halting Strike
For Power Based like me. This trait makes interupt become more rewarding
I do agree for Celes Helm. 3% Crit damage is just…. Nice… Berserker only give 2%.
Prev Gear i use Knight Helm. Then changed into Celes Helm. Well what can i say…. I gained more Crit damage and still have moderate defensive stat compared to my Old Knight Helm. Losing Power? Yes.. But I more happy for the crit damage :S
I like Thief but but hate to stealth, I love ele but hate to change attinment, I like necro but dont like conditions… see where Im going?

Gear Selection for Shooter Interupt
For Full Gears u can see from prev link in traits section. Link from Intothemist
Helm = Celestial
Celestial Helm give 3% Crit damage. It’s Huge. Even Berserker Helm only 2% Crit damage.
Boots/ Gloves/ Shoulder = Berserker
These part give good % Crit damage
Coat = Soldier or Sentinel
Mainly i use Coat for Defensive option. Like grow more VIT or DEF.
Leggings = Knight
Runes and Sigil For Shooter Interupt
Runes =
6x Rune of Air
Since we have a lot of Offensive raw stat. The lightning Strike can crit for nice damage. It gives a nice Critikal damage stat too
Great Sword Sigil=
- Sigil Of Battle
Gain 24sec Might when swap coz our 20% Boon Dura. Nice Sigil for teamplay to raise ur Phantasm damage.
- Sigil Of Doom
Ur next attack after swap give 6sec Poison coz our 20% Condi DUra. This Sigil kinda weak vs Blind or in teamplay since ur GS #1 BEam is AOE. The main purpose of this Sigil is to cut enemy heal by 33%. Kinda good for 1v1 assume ur enemy doesn’t Blind u. Most 1v1 Build have Blind a lot. Like Scepter EL or Pistol Thief
- Sigil Of Force/ Night
Simply to raise ur GS #1 Damage.
Other Weapon Set Sigil=
- Sigil Of Force
To raise ur skill damage
- Sigil of Hydromancy
Deal AOE damage and Chill Foes for around 3,6s. Again coz of Condi dura +20%. The AOE damage is slighly higehr than Sword #1 so it’s not bad. The main purpose of this sigil is to slow Thief damage if they hit u while u are on Shooting Stance. Swap Weapon -> AOE Chill -> If Thief still hit u (Probably coz revealed Buff) -> Sword #2, Blurry Frenzy -> Sword #4, Riposte
Role of Shooter Interupt
Shooter=
Shooter is a Role that deal damage from far away and they can see entire battlefield for their next movement and act accordingly. Shooter is a Backline Position.
Example of Shooter Role = Rifle Warrior, GS Mesmer, Ranger
Breaker=
Well i called this Role… Breaker. Breaker is basicaly u like to “break” enemy backline. Backline is a place where main damage and support come. Frontliner without Backline is not good and vice versa. Imagine Hammer Guardian without water field is like a Frontliner without Backline. Normaly Backline is filled with Low DEF Characters since they are focusing on Damage or Tanky Chars with a lot of Combo Field support. In most tactic people like to kill Backline 1st to cut either enemy main damage or enemy water field and simply coz Most of Backline is Low DEF. Breaker Role normally have High Atk/ Moderate Atk, Moderate DEF and Mobility to Come in and Come out. They put DEF so they are not afraid for “Body Contact” while “Skipping” enemy Frontline.
Example Of Breaker Role = Shatter Mes, GS Mes, Warrior, DD EL
Weapon Opinion for Shooter Interupt
GreatSword =
Good Shooting Range, Can;t be blocked by anti projectile, and have AOE Interupt. I Simply love it.
Dual Swords =
Best Defensive Melee weapon for me. Main Hand Sword is just like other Mesmer, we use it for offensive and unleash Burst damage while the Off Hand Sword is very Versatile. Sword #4 can be used to block a hit and counter it with huge damage or simply to Interupt enemy and give damage from Halting Strike Trait. Sword #5, iSwordman deal moderate damage but have fast recharge around 4s.
Focus=
Focus is my Zerging Weapon. I simply use it to pull enemy backline and keep my swiftness. If focus make an interupt. It’s another Bonus damage for me
Staff=
Depend on my Mood i use either Staff or Focus in Zerging. Staff is good but lack of AOE. Chaos Storm is good for provide Combo Field and deal damage if interupt happen. But main issue with Staff is when my Server is winning and there’re a lot of downed Enemies. It’s kinda hard to tag with Staff compared to Sword Melee #1.

Shooter Interupt Build
Pros=
- Not Squisy
- Shooting Ability from GS can;t be blocked by Anti Projectile
- Huge Offensive Raw stat like Power and Crit damage
- Interupt give more reward
- Have Condition Removal
- Both Weapons have Interupt
Cons=
- Have “Best” Mobility
- DPS based. Not Burst Based
Core of Shooter Interupt Build
1. Halting Strike
This trait simply makes Interupt give more rewards. Since this Build using GS and Dual Swords mostly, both of the weapons have Interupt Feature
2. GreatSword Weapon
Best Shooting Weapon for me. Moderate damage but have the ability to ignore enemy anti projectile and no “travel” time
3. Manipulation
Thou there are better “Support trait” like Glamour i just like Manipulation based skill, thou it’s selfish coz in teamplay u need to provide Combo field for ur team. But leave that task to Guardian. Manipulation based skills normaly are made for survival. Like gaining range by Blink or Remove Conditional Removal using Arcane Thievery
4. Have Moderate DEF
Coz if u are dead u can;t give damage. Having moderate DEF will help to “React” if u are unprepared. I know image Mesmer is a Class that can “Fool” ur opponent using Clones and Stealth but this build is more “Straight Forward” Offer less “Mind Games” to fool ur enemy. But i just simply like to be more “Chivalry” and want to create a build image like A Good damage and hard to kill if posible. Being downed by 2 or more enemies is not bad. But being downed coz only 1enemy in teamplay is simply…

- 112% Crit damage
- 46% Crit rate (Yes it’s kinda low)
- 2,3k DEF = Around 20% Damage reduction if i;m not mistaken
- Deal AOE damage while Swap weapon using Sigil of Hydromancy
- Rune of Air can damage enemy who hit u.
- 20% Boon Duration from Traits
- 20% Condi Duration from Traits

If u want to use Pistol. Normaly i use pistol if i have another Hiter in my P to provide the 2s STun in teamplay is simply Good.

Create Clone when dodge. Simply best trait in Mesmer class

Well u should told earlier that u are using Torch. When u said “survivability” what i had in mind was..
1. DEF/ VIT (Take less damage)
2. Dodging (V Key)
3. General Stealth From Util/ Elite.
4. F4 Mesmer
5. Positioning using WASD/ Blink
Well if u like to stealth a lot well it’s fine. I have seen some Stealth Phantasm Build. It just not my taste. I just don’t like “Cowboy Battle” with the one with fastest hand wins! If u know what that means. As for torch. I prefer to have more offensive option. So this is bad build… Well doesn;t matter as long i can win less vs many battle and beat so many “Famous” Build. Anyway thx for ur feedback i will try to play more aggre. Like i said before i don’t like “Cowboy battle” and maybe u saw it too that i like to let enemies hit me on purpose. It’s one of my bad habbit i must admit. I just like fair battle. It just doesn’t mean right if kill an enemy if they didn;t react to u. Again it just from my habbit and i don’t care if this build bad or not. I created it i;m having fun with it and i have diversity. That’s not bad.
Oh for “Damage sacrifice” I only sacri 10% crit damage in exchange for -20% damage taken(Said GW2build craft. DEF 2,3k is -20% damage taken). Which i found it’s not bad. Assume PURE GC Berserker Mes have 122% Crit damage. Yeah i have 112% now.
And for “Rusher Part” Not every Rusher is MELEE. I;m a Rusher too. Well i prefer to be called “Breaker”
Probably i will make new thread for my new vid. Just finished wvw and i must write for this new 25th June patch. Hope i can make more “Tidy” Guide later.
I like to have 2,3k DEF. Calc said it’s -20% damage reduction. And i only lose Crit damage only from Coat and Leggings. I Heard the crit damage from those EQ are not really nice compared to Gloves, Shoulder and Boots.
As For Helm, Previously i used Knight but changed into Celestial. Since Celestial Helm give +3% Crit damage. Even BErserker Helm only give 2%. Overall it’s nice trade. The reason i like to have crit damage is power modifier in Mesmer is kinda low.

With Prismatic understanding i;m sure u are hard to take down coz the prot effect and also nice for Sigil of Hydro. With ur Torch and Prismatic understanding i;m sure u can go melee and go out easily. Well some 2small questions if i may..
1. Stun sigil +15%, Is it good? 2,3s Stun then from magic bullet?
2. Tell me ur thought about Torch Phantasm in this Build. Simply to shatter?
For Power Build, Go For GS if u want to become a Hitter Role in ur P. Most GS Skills can;t be blocked by anti Projectile so ur DPS will keep going as long ur enemy in ur shooting range. As for the other weapon off set depend on ur taste.

My currently best damage for Halting Strike is 4,2k Crit vs GC Mesmer i think. With average of 3k Crit. In WVW Map. 2k Crit on Bunker Classes.
Halting Strike is nice. It just need more awereness from the Pilot. Just that
Add for mass invis.
Very good for stealth Stomp or Stealth Ress. Saved my P members a lot with this Mass Invis if they’re downed.
3k damage Crit if ur enemy DEF Is 2,4k with my current build for Halting Strike. Good to punish anyone who want to revive/ Stomp. The main prob is only Stability. So it’s kinda tricky.

Hmm i think u are right about burning. Tried with +80% Burning Dura (30 trait, 15% x2 Rune, 10% Rune of Lyssa, 10% weapon) didn’t get a Burning trick for Guardian burn every 5th Atk. But on Mes with WoC i see 2 tick. Thx for the correction.
Well based on my test i found 2,75s slightly Longer than 2,5s and also i use AOE Damage + Chill Sigil on weapon swap. To gain 4s Chill. What i found on that test is if ur condi dura is a solid number Like just 2. Without any additional “Less than 1sec like 0,25 0,5 0,75” U won;t see the number. Example, 2sec immobile when it’s land u only already see 1sec. U didn;‘t see the 2. For 2,5Sec. U see the 2sec then suddenly go down to 1s. For 2,75s u see the 2sec kinda longer. Sorry for my english i kinda having trouble to pick up the right words to explain it >.< But feel free to correct me. Maybe coz my latency is 250ms also so my research for Condi dura tick have mistake But if every percentage counts. Well it’s nice. Hehe

Well my new trait is 20atk 30crit 20DEF. PRetty straight. But because i put more DEF from trait i can trade for more Crit damage by changing Knight into Berserker Armor while keeping same DEF.
This new trait kinda handy since it has access to become Phamtasm Build as well, or even Staff Based Build, or even GS STaff for Interupt damage. Normally i use Staff + Dual Swords in Dun for lazy Gameplay. Change GS Mastery into Phantasm damage so From Power Trait i have halting strike and Phantasm damage. Just spawn 3x phantasms and spam #1. Thx for this new patch ANet wants a Diversity and there’s no more Solid Phantasm Based anymore. It’s all Insane Phantasm damage with 20s CD or Medium Phantasm damage with 16s CD.

Def gives me a time to “React” if i’m not prepared. In Less vs many Theme Teamplay battle having moderate def will help a lot. Not to mention in teamplay always aim the easiest target 1st so u need def to cover ur stun break timing before the real damage come, enemy frontliner like to force Hitter to waste their stun break. Pure Glass Classes never been a problem for teamplay or even 1v1 (As long u know their rotations). Even my Guard can kill Pure glakittenter in teamplay ~__~ Most people in Tier 1 NA have decent knowledge for WVW so don’t expect u can OHKO them in just 1rotation except if they are Glass. Even they don;t know about their enemies at least they know how to handle their class well. It’s so rare to see Pure Glass except for solo roaming. Another reason coz GS Mesmer only have 1blink. Catching up with 1Blink is not hard and remember our decoy is 40s now. 8sec diff means a lot

Well Hitter philosophy, There are 2, High damage with long CD(Spike) or Low damage with fast CD(DPS). Before this 25th patch i choose “Low damage with fast CD” Phantasm every 12s is already enough for me. Then 25th Patch come I can;t use that low damage with fast CD coz 16s Phantasm, 40s decoy resulting a HUGE DPS Loss. To compensate that i change my trait and raise more Crit damage. From 105% to 110% while keeping same DEF. So this new Build have Big raw base stat to begin with and makes weapon skills more realiable. Below are what i did while in testing phase:
1. Halting Strike (Interupt = Damage) → Accepted
Since we have good raw stat i choose this trait and it’s really good. Seeing 3k damage if ur enemy DEF is below 2,4k damage is just nice. The main purpose is to punish anyone who want to stomp my Ally or Revive my enemy. But the sad fact of this trait. It’s GS Mesmer weakness since GS #1 is channeling for 1,5s. Not to mention in this meta DD EL got nerfed and Scepter Dagger EL become mass producted. They use Channeling Thunder for 3s and it’s so nice to Interupt it. This trait not really good in teamplay assume enemy has guard but still a nice choice overall
2. Furious interuption(Interupt = Haste 3s/ 15s) → Rejected
At 1st if i interupt someone who reviving their ally and then i get Haste it will make me easier to stomp but i think there’s a bug if u lost ur haste in ur channeling skills it will revert back to normal duration. The aspd bonus 50% well it’s fast but it just there’s another trait better than this to pick
3. Far Reaching Manipulation → Accepted
After i rejected the Furious interuption trait i chose this one. This meta Conditions are everywhere. It’s very hard if u don;t have condi removal and enemy has necro. U can;t rely on ur guardian too coz the conditions are simply too many. 32s Arcana thievery with 1,2k range is so nice esp if i’m panic and 1,2k Blink is… Addictive
4. Bountiful Interruption(Interupt → Gain Boon) → Rejected
5stack of might… Not to mention power is just… Not really vital. I mean i already have high power and to gain 5stack of might i must interupt my enemy and waste 1x major trait from def? The might dura is not that long either…
TL;DR Version:
This Build has raw stat and it’s like 1/3 Interupt Build 1/3 Phantasm Build and 1/3 Shatter build. Greedy build? Maybe. Reason is simple. Phantasm damage comes from our stat, Shatter damage comes from our stat too, and Interupt damage from Halting strike come from our stat too. With one primary goal is to shoot enemy from far range if ur phantasm is dead, keeping Group Contribution high coz always hiting the enemy and it can’t be blocked
