You know what will be great? If they released an update that had nothing to do with story whatsoever: adding guild features, fixing abysmal loot system, adding precursor hunt, fixing bugs and skills – all the features they promised in 2013.
Teq should have been an instance.
-Colin reiterates that LS and expansions are not mutually exclusive and other teams are working on other content behind the scenes
He said the same thing more than a year ago.
Where is it? When will we see the other “behind the scenese” major projects?
I’m not excited for more mediocre content.
800G is not easy to get, unless by easy you mean saving for 12 months or playing 10 hours/day.
Start gambling.
I want to ply full cleric heal Guard and be just as viable as full Berserk Warrior.
You can play the way you want to, but that doesn’t mean there’s balance.
Don’t blame the players, blame the terrible AI and mind numbingly easy fights.
Players shouldn’t be able to stack in the corner and faceroll everything, bosses should be more dynamic and move around.
I rather pay 30$/month for Everquest Next.
The chests give absolutely atrocious drops anyway, so don’t be upset.
Just few days ago I got one from a random mob.
Opened the chest and got random XP booster, 2 Large Winterday Gifts and some other garbage.
I’d love to see rain in LA.
I’m by no means the best player, however I am playing Healway Guard (Shouts remove 2 conditions), and I still find it hard to remove all the conditions.
It’s not false at all. Said by more than enough people before, will say it again, this is a legit datamine. Dulfy.net also confirmed it.
Data-mined != true.
There are a massive amount of stuff data-mined that have never been added to the game, even a year after they were first found.
Even if this isn’t happening, just the fact that they ever thought of implementing this into GW2 speaks volumes of the whole company.
This is no longer GW1 Arena Net.
The game’s already a slowly sinking ship, I wouldn’t be too surprised to see NCSOFT milking all the money that’s left in GW2 in order to push wildstar.
If this is real, i’m quitting.
Is it just me or are conditions a little bit too strong in WvW?
What happened?
Speak to Evon in LA. There’s even better hint.
Be prepared to be disappointed. That’s all I have to say. Better keep your expectations low.
Game “forces” me to grind PvE because I can’t earn enough money in WvW for legendary. 2G/h would take me a whole year or more.
“‘We just don’t want players to grind in Guild Wars 2. No one enjoys that. No one finds it fun.”
No. I already play WvW and I have tons of badges I don’t need.
sPvP in GW2 is nowhere near the level of GW1’s PvP.
The thing is GW2’s reward system is total abysmal.
High level Fractals still take much more time to complete than the regular dungeons and yet give worse drops/less gold.
Remember GW1 UW and FoW? These zones were hard and rewarding.
Afater watching many videos of people gambling the Forge I noticed the pattern that in most cases the people who get their precursor are using some kind of a booster , magic find or other.
So after spending tons of golds on rare GS I was left with my last 20G. I logged on my low level necro, popped crafting booster and threw in first 4 GS and got Dawn.
im from EU and play at nights on an EU world and its very annoying to see morning/afternoon caps as i cant be online at the time..QQ. But for real, itsa ONLINE game and its 24/7 bussiness so either get some intercontinental players aboard your realm or simply move to another where the coverage is more balanced.
Why ppl from US play in EU? for example- this is just strange, they have their own servers with low ping.
How about this solution – recruit more EU guilds?
I thought arena net wanted to remove this section of forum?
You can get under the maps too with teleports. I’ve accidentally done it twice with my Thief.
Freely swim under the map and attack everyone from below the map.
No idea whether they fixed it or not, but I know the place.
Even if they announce precursor crafting (which they already did about a year ago), I doubt we’ll see it any time soon.
You do realize that you didn’t have to max those titles to get the full effect of those skills/titles right? You only needed to reach rank 5 for most of them which was pathetically easy to get. You were pretty much already there just by completing the campaign.
Also, the “grind” to advance in the Nightfall story was hardly a grind. Grind means doing something repeatedly. Last I remembered most people did the side quests, which were all unique. It was also exclusive to Elonian characters. Tyrian/Canthans didn’t have to do them.
And you don’t NEED to grind out Ascended Gear. All content can be fairly quickly completed with exotic gear that flows like water. But it DOES provide a significant improvement if you do put in the time and grind for the Ascended Gear. See how that cuts both ways?
I laugh at the idea of GW1 being this grind-free utopia its hardcore fans try to paint it out to be. You liked the novelty of the vertical progression being through skills rather than gear. That’s what it boils down to.
One could get max level, max armor and weapon in GW1 in less than 4 hours.
Faction → first island, level 13 → Kaineng → Eye Of The North → Brawl Dungeon and XP Scrolls.
GW2 leveling and gear system is more grindy than in GW1.
Hate: Not a proper sequel.
Love: Art
Well, I did 5 Dungeon Runs today, in about 2 hours, got around 15G.
I know, but even with 15G/day it would still take me 37 Days, assuming I play daily.
Assuming you have 0 Laurels, 0 Gold, no dungeon tokens, no mats and you don’t play 5+ hours/day.
What would you do and how long would it take to you?
A new Tier of armor which takes even more time to craft than a legendary?
Cantha/Elona or I don’t care.
Keep trying. Or grind gold to save enough to buy your precursor from TP.
Still waiting for Ascended Rings to be salvaged for some extra ectos or something.
30+ Rings I don’t need.
After buying couple of Charged Cores I’m back to 20G.
Have aound 400~G in Mats though.
Graphics are good only if you compare it to other MMOs.
Shadow Form is funny, they could have easily fixed it adding longer CD or additional effects, but I guess they couldn’t figure out how for years, kinda says something about their balance team, if they have/had one.
But you know, UWsc/FoWsc farming required more skill than the current “spam auto attack and watch TV on second screen” Frostgorge Farm.
And of course there were cookie cutter builds, however, PvX Wikia always had tens of different builds listed as “Great Working” for every professions, well, except Paragon.
Ya know… the usual
Any tips on farming T6?
Arguably the most unique/best aspect of the Guild Wars 1 was destroyed/dumbed down in order to achieve more balance (or at least they claimed so), but as you know, current GW2 meta isn’t balanced at all, and it has hardly ever been.
No build variations*, no theorycrafting, no fun builds, all sacrificed for what? Easier gameplay?
My opinion.
What about your? Was it worth it?
Dawn:
Supply: 11
Demand: 1708
Dusk:
Supply: 3
Demand: 4996
Oh, and Dusk is almost 900G at this moment, so yeah, good luck saving for that.
Because they promised GW2 would take everything we loved about GW1 and use in GW2?
It’s unrealistic to save 800G for Dusk. Unless you spend tons of hours in game everyday or play the TP.
What’s the most efficient way to farm T6 mats?
Frostgorge Train? I never seem to be lucky with the chests.
Any alternatives.
Also, what about Charged Lodestones/Cores?
Today I saw someone running with a legendary with 1600 APs.
Few days ago people here told me not to use Forge, however I did, and I got my Dawn.
I ended up using around 400 Greatswords though.
If you can earn your gold quickly, save it, if, however, you don’t want to grind/farm 24/7, use gambling.
People would be sure as hell doing it more often if the drops were better.
1,2, 3G? No, make it 10G.
Why waste time sitting there for an hour when Champ Train gives you much more and is easier. GW2 reward system is seriously flawed, make it as fun as you want, if it’s not profitable people wont be doing it.
You might as well gamble with Orr Boxes.
I don’t know, 170G on Greatswords is still better than 620G.
So just a moment ago I got Dawn.
Total GS used ~400.
Take that those who suggest spending 600G.
