6. Over cluttered interface
Also, add a “Inspect enemy camera”.
*achievement for every type of enemy that players inspect and take a picture.
(edited by Onshidesigns.1069)
I’ll agree to that. More camera control and no transparent avatar.
An alternative to a transparent avatar camara view could be a “camera emotion”.
The camera emotion would be /camera or /pic. Making the avatar stand holding a camera in front of their head. But the player camera will change position to in front of the player, looking away. This will also activate the Hide Hud.
(edited by Onshidesigns.1069)
I think we should have the more camera controls. So we can take good images like the ones Anet can take themselves. Also add these options.
*Hide avatar
*mini pet camera (Rotates around mini)
*tilt camera angle
*inspect player camera

Zacchary, to run a big guild and run guild events often is hard enough without having to bounce around between guilds and mange upgrades and coordination I’d think. You may have touched on something I had not considered though, are guild alliances up and running now? I’ll have to look it up.
Donari yes, it is on our site. But as you may be aware, not everyone who plays games, goes above and beyond the game.
I gave you a +1 because your solution is the same solution I came up with months ago. Our guild website does state exactly the issues we run in to.
My initial suggestion makes me sound like I am in influence hog or someone that is to harsh if you dont’ represent me 100% and active all the time. But if you think that you are severely missing what im trying to say. We have enough actives and 100% loyal members to get all the influence and merits we would ever need. So that is not an issue, and were friendly so we don’t care if you only rep us 10% of the time, we’ll still give you 100% of the buffs and events when you play with us. The only problem is when we hit 500 members, and a new player comes along that doesn’t have a guild. At the maximum membership all the choices are bad, and make the person that has to make that choice seem bad / greedy / whatever.
It is apparent to me that most of you feel the suggestion to point out to new players how representing works in an easy to find location in the game is a poor idea. It sounds like you are also for the idea of a limited cap to the number of players a guild should have. I concede
Delegate most of the management of the 2nd guild to a trusted guild member.
Replay PS with group finder
*Replay option for personal story
*Add group finder for both dungeons and personal story quests.
*Group finder searches all servers in a region
wow, you have great ideas! here is the thing though, i have repeatedlly tried to get people to not kill maw, to wait and see what he summons. its never happened and never will, because the majority of players dont care. pass your thoughts on to the devs though.
The maw needs to move around and knock players back.
This would make zone DE’s work like a living story stages. But the stages would reset instead of just ending after the story is over.

drama queen much?
Thank you for your major contribution to my thread, your outstanding intelligence as shown by your post is very impressive.
I didn’t miss the statement about also unlocking a group mode but my point still stands, a solo instance shouldn’t even exist in a MMORPG. Why play one if you can solo everything? Seems pretty pointless to me.
I was hoping that after the enormous complaints on the Personal Story (I dislike the fact that this is all singleplayer too), they wouldn’t repeat the same mistakes again with future content.
I want to play a MMORPG, not a singleplayer game.
Most quests are made for solo play in other MMO’s. If you want to do quests as a group, it’s usually a option.
And most of the personal story quest give a co-op option?
(edited by Onshidesigns.1069)
If the person who is dual-guilds is just playing with a few friends. Then you are a bad guy for kicking them from your guild.
But you don’t even want to be bothered with that…..wow……..
No man, I have leveled one characters to lvl 80, beaten the storyline, got my world completion star. I dont need to do the same thing with the other characters. I just want to play different storylines but i am forced to grind things to be able to see them.
I dont understand what bothers you if I have 8 lvl 80 s with a cash shop potion? Am I standing in your way of leveling? I don’t think so.
I am playing like 1h in day so it took me like 4 moths to get to lvl 80. I don’t think I would spend another 28 months to have all the professions lvl 80.
If you want a level 80 character in a different profession. Then you should have to level that character. Because that is your training to lean how to play that profession.
Seeing enemy names is just Stupid. Unless mousing over the enemy.
The reminds me of the radar on COD. Where good players who don’t use the radar are at a disadvantage to skilless noobs. Who just sneak behind other players using the radar. No one fights that away in the military.
Anet don’t make WvW COD! Make enemy names mouse over only. This includes health bars, and enemy commander tags.
It goes against immersion and the feeling of “the fog of war”.

You act as if it’s a lot of work to convert the weapons to make them dyeable. It’s just boring and tedious. A small team can do it.
It’s more-than-likely more work than you’d think it is. It’s just like how some armor has more sections dyeable, or the dyes affect them in different way. They’d also have to choose which parts are dyeable, how visible the effect of the dyes are, what texture the dyes will give, make sure everybody else agrees with it, plus there is a pretty large amount of weapons(shields included, since they’re technically weapons) that they’d have to go through. Sure, it might not be a lot of hard work, but it definitely wouldn’t be some fast-and-simple project they could roll out in a week from now. Not to mention most if not all of the GW2 team is already busy with other projects, so why take people off of those projects just to make weapons dyeable when they could instead be working on fixing the game and adding new content?
EDIT: And again, technically, shields are weapons. They’re armor in the sense that you use a shield to block just like you’d use a sword to parry. They both deal damage, and they both can block damage.
I didn’t say it would not be a long job. It may take weeks to do the just the shields. I’m not expecting this to be done even this year. But Anet knows they will have to start on it sometime.
Shields are classified in GW2 as weapons – not armor. Just saying. And if they made them dyeable then everybody would be complaining about the rest of their weapons not being dyeable which means they’d have to make everything dyeable at once.
Shield should match armor because they look like armor. Same with back pieces, they also look like armor.
Everyone already want weapons to be dyeable anyways. Anet can only make one weapon dyeable at time. Might as well be shields first because they look like armor.
Not all weapons should be dyeable either. Some weapon would not make sense
dye-ed, because of their theme. They wouldn’t just make one thing dyeable at a time. If they were to make weapons dyeable then they’d have to release them all at the same time. And then with weapons that aren’t dyeable you’d get people complaining they can’t use the skins they want because they’re not dyeable like the rest. Dying weapons will probably come along somewhere down the road, but Anet has to find a nice balance for it first which wouldn’t cause a bunch of people complaining about how unfair it is.
I didn’t say they would release the weapons one at a time. I’m saying to get to work on the shields first. To remind Anet that shields are armor.

This game isn’t about levels. At level 80, the game turns into a sandbox game. There is upscaling and downscaling because you’re supposed to replay old zones. Anet will make the world more dynamic. So old zones are fun to play.
Anet doesn’t want powerleveling either. They want you to move through the zones at a consistent pace. So you know the story and how to play the game. Level 1-79 is training.
So only rich players who grind all day long can get a skin? While poor players who have to buy gems still don’t have the money to outbid rich players.
Shields are armor, so why are they not dyeable?
Because shields are large and play the role of weapon/armor. They NEED to be dyeable first. It just looks awful seeing players with shields that don’t match their armor.
I do think most weapons should be dyeable too. But not before shields.
There are far more weird things than Queen Jennah’s dress.
The ruler, hammer, rope are like one stable object in this image. This is possible because of the weight hammer is positioned under the edge of the wood. And directly under the part of the ruler touching the wood.
If you mix four different armors of the same set. You you get a different piece of armor from that set.
I think for the amount of work it must take for Anet to make a skin. Letting players buy them outright should net them a large profit.
Anet doesn’t need RNG, just design more gem store skins and content.
I think you’re severely underestimating the amount of gullible people who will spend (or already have spent) $200+ on chests just so they can get the skin.
I’m pretty confident that making the skins available only through a small chance on a very rare but purchasable chest is making ANet way more money than if they just sold the skins directly.
RNG will not create a stable player base.
Just do make them RNG Anet.
RNG is always bad. It makes players mad and quite the game.
Buying skins outright may not seem as profitable at first. But over time it is a lose for Anet.
Low level players can level fast in this game. Just complete hearts in all beginner areas and do DE’s. Do some crafting and personal story too. And remember upgrading traits and armor. A casual player can get to 80 in 3 weeks.
DON’T only farm to level up! That will take forever.
Please don’t turn this into a “its easy to level whats your problem?” post. The point of this wasn’t about leveling but why living story content seems to not be accessible to lower level players.
1) Not everyone plays a lot. Especially a free to play game like this, where there is no drive to “get your subs worth”. As I said in the OP I work close to 80 a hours a week, sometimes more, and only play GW2 a few hours a week.
2) Not everyone WANTS to level fast. Personally I hate games where the game actually starts at max level. The journey from 1 to whatever should be fun. That should be the game just as much as the end game is.
Living story content should be fun for people at lower levels just as much as higher levels.
It’s not a rush at all to level up. It’s really easy to get to 80.
Also levels are unimportant at level 80. The game then becomes a sandbox game.

We can see different levels in cities. I think zone maps should be the same way.
How about making more than one version of the back piece.
*one close to body
*one 3 inches away from body
*one 6 inches away from bodyPlayer would go to a “Armor Adjustment NPC” to fix their backpiece. By trading the back piece for a similar one that’s placed differently on the body.
Anytime there is a problem with armor clipping on some players. Anet can add new versions of that armor to the “Armor Adjustment NPC”.
Just sticking a slider in the H tab would solve this.
A slider would take more coding.

Jousting mini game.
Asara is like a Animal. How many animals do you see naked?
:O We are clearly not humans but we are NOT animals. goes and writes to *her arcane council member -.-
You look like food to me.
ANet needs to put pasties in the gem shop for the female Asura and the Charr, as well as for the males wearing this armor. Only this way can the game be saved.
I want small flower pasties for my Sylvari

Anyone who isn’t good at JP’s is probably using W,A,S,D for movement.
What do you still use the arrow keys? Dont worry, you will get better after a few years kid.
Mouse for movement works much better.
RNG is why the Sclerite Back piece is easy to get. So players feel like they at least got something from the event.
they already have at least 2 that have 250 charges…though up to you if you want to spend the time making it.
Problem is it’s a waste of bag space and charges to use it on lower tier nodes.

salvage kit: I think Anet needs to change how they work. Maybe one kit that needs recharging. The level of rarity of armor determines how many charges it uses to salvage.
You just buy charges at one set price. Charges would also stack to maybe 500.
Many of the areas/cities in this game is not finished. This is intentional. To leave room for improving the game.
“Crab Toss: Forcing PvP for a reward is wrong IMO! "
The title of this post should be called:
Forcing RNG for a reward is wrong IMO!
What if world bosses dropped a mini version of itself?
Example:
Shadow Behemoth would drop a Mini “Shadow Behemoth”
steam ogre would drop a “Mini Steam Ogre”
Svanir Shaman Chief would drop a “Mini Svanir Shaman Chief”
Great Jungle Wurm would drop a "Mini Great Jungle Wurm
Jormag would drop a “Mini Jormag”
Tequatl would drop a “Mini Tequatl”
Shattered would drop a “Mini Shattered”
Every temple in Orr would have some way of dropping
Mini Gods.
Every dragon and meta boss could drop mini versions of themselves from their chests.
I think this would work better as a instanced guild mission. It should also be optional for guild members to participate in a Declaration of War.
Been that way since November
Didn’t know it was a old item. Still town clothing should Always be account bound. No exceptions.
I have not equip this item because it MUST be a mistake and Anet will fix it. If it’s not a mistake, I fear that Anet is going the try to sell people soulbound town clothing in the future.
Why is the “Southsun Mask” Town clothing Soulbound? It should Definitely be account bound!
Really? Kasmeer has that conventional beauty queen/cheer leader look. Pretty but a bit bland.
However, having read the blog, I am intrigued by her personality and story, which is far more important to me. I want to get to know her, not to gawk at her. Well, I don’t gawk at females anyway. And even males I would admire very discreetly.
It’s the bikini. Once it becomes a underware option. We dump Kamseer to the curb.
Levels are not important in this game. Traits and armor are.
No offense but people really should check before posting to see if the questions they have are already captured in an existing topic. I have literally seen 4-5 people this within a 2 hour frame today.
I’ll do what I want.
