mags are big whole wussies that wont fight unless they have more numbers then their opponent and after they act smart about it. i thought you guys were good fighters, i was wrong.

Would you have something to say to your fellow server members from [PYRO] about blobbing?
I’d just like to note that the most people [PYRO] ever had was 34, and we dropped to 25 pretty quickly after reset.
And yeah, 34 is a lot, I’ll give you that, but coming from Gold league, it’s not really that much. We don’t run with a commander icon, and we don’t bring pugs along with us. We generally run 25 outside of reset night and Sunday (guild missions).
This NA vs EU thing is a farce. Guilds are guilds and trying to label them all as one skill level – NA or EU – is a joke.
I’m shocked that our friendly, spur of the moment 10v10 with PYRO in the alpha environment is even coming into it to try and prove anything.
PYRO is a solid guild and they kicked our kitten fair and square in the fight. But keep in mind the factors of the alpha – shoddy gear, the interruptions and distractions, no prime setup from either side, etc. If I remember right PYRO were 9 frontline with 1 backline or something, and we were 5/5 between backline and frontline. Does this become a major factor? I have no idea, never having done a 10v10 before in my life.
Trying to cast PYRO as though they represent the entirety of NA, or Scnd as if we represent the EU, is ridiculous. In general this whole OMFG SCND hype really needs to stop. We rose, we fought, and we did our best to win. We had our slackmode to chill, and now we are in the process of creating a brand new GvG team. We will continue on and keep fighting but please leave the past in the past.
I guess in short, please stop using Second Law as a hype tool. We don’t think we’re kings of anything.
I’d like to second this. The “GvG” we had was completely unofficial and cheesy. It was fun, and we really enjoyed it, but it wasn’t representative of either guild’s skill, and shouldn’t be used as such. If Scnd had their full numbers and gear with no ping, it would have been a very, very different fight. To imply otherwise is just disingenuous.
If that’s really your whole group, then I stand corrected. There’s still about 30 people there though.
This just in, red names look bigger. Everyone sucks at counting. If you ever have more than 20 orange names and a commander tag, assume you outnumber most anyone.
One word to describe your guild in question: expendable.
We got shiny new guilds after you left! Out with the quantity over quality guilds and in with the quality over quantity.

Does that mean you guys are shipping off PYRO and TG at some point? =S Apart from Abyss, I dunno if there’s even another guild on SBI that runs as deep as them.
Last night [PYRO] ran 25 most of the night. At one point around 3 AM last night, we invited all of [TG]’s 25ish to run our tag and ran as a megablob for 10 minutes or so.
Regardless, TOM seemed to be running at least 20, probably more earlier in the night, and DDLG had a good 15. Them triple engaging with KWBH and some pugs more than evened out our numbers.
So are we going to start using the Gw2GvG site again now that the arena is added? I was actually trying to use it a minute ago and couldn’t figure out how to challenge people outside of the “suggested challenges.”
Yeah, use it. I think it’d make things more publicly competitive again if more guilds use it. I think there’s some bugs with it, but the suggested challenges list all the guilds that are registered in your matchup, and it doesn’t like it when you try to challenge a guild outside of the servers you’re fighting.
Not all of the guilds in my matchup have registered the correct server, because they move often.

Yeah it did not start that way at all. At the start it was even if not you having more. Each time you guys wiped we gained numbers you lost numbers. Plus its not like we kept going after you guys – you guys kept pushing us.
Wednesday afternoon and Maguuma hasn’t declared victory yet. Maybe they’re waiting to see if they can pass SoS so they can claim some sort of victory that is measurable unlike “Our roamers are better so we are technically the winners this week”.
Props to folks on Maguuma who actually show up to fight (INC, VR, Pyro, Ark, etc).

Winning due to coverage is kind of like winning a height contest.
We’re Pyromancers, or, [PYRO], a WvW oriented guild on Maguuma. We don’t enforce 100% rep, do weekly sPvP, dungeons, fractals, WvW, and guild events, and we have our own mumble server that we hang out in!
We raid in WvW every night, and do guild missions once per week. If you want to join an organized WvW guild and have some great open field fights or GvGs, check out our site pyrogw2.com and apply.
Classes we are currently accepting applications for (in order of most needed to least):
1.) Necromancers
2.) Warriors
3.) Mesmers
4.) Experienced Guardians
All applicants must be experienced, willing to potentially change their build or gear, and be open to criticism.
I’m going to pop in a sec here to throw back to a week prior to the season … Mags pushed to get into gold. That was a hard push too btw, much like TC trying now.
That was not only admirable, that was an impressive week. If anything, coming to gold league has benefited mags with there new friends/new guilds that have decided to join forces during the season. Even if it’s not much… it still has benefited them. As it has with SoS.
So whether the season is a tank/crapshot who cares… in the end I think your servers respectively gained from it.
In fact, I’d go as far as to say SoS and Mag’s are lining themselves up for the new map. That is all.
How does the Mag peeps feel about all the FA talking about how they tanked scores to get into Silver? I’m probably reading to far into it but it sounds like if FA didn’t tank the scores Mag would still be in silver.
The fact that FA tanked their scores is moot, outside of showing what type of gamers they are. Mag fought hard to get to gold league and that really shows what type of players they are. Server strength is based on population and Mag overcame that shortcoming by playing hard.
I have also noticed that pyro as well as a few other guilds are doing what they can to show that they can play the t1 meta with heavy frontline(real heavy) and some solid backliners supplemented by kitten glass. Thanks for coming out and fighting hard.
Aon is a troll guild but I like that they kite away the pugs not on ts. I have heard a bunch of drivers say “oh, its AoN, they wont fight, they just run and pick off the pugs” I like this little service you do us :P
well to be fair, you have about 30 guys running the hammer train vs 8-10. so the point of sayng we wont fight is kinda … come at us with 10 and see if we fight or not
so basically you want T1 BG to zerg who runs team/guild builds per player and minumum of 30 to fight a 10 guys whos built for 1v1s, youll find some who will endulge in that kind of game but not all.
I went out to lunch earlier with a couple friends. We sat down and some lady apparently didn’t like her food and screamed at the waitress at the top of her lungs. The waitress went and got the manager and he tried to calm to lady but she kept screaming and screaming. Then out of nowhere, she vomits all over the table and on her lap and starts crying uncontrollably. The look on the manager’s face was priceless, he has no clue what to do. There was nothing in the manager handbook that detailed what to do in the instance that a lady barfs on herself and cries. Right around this time our food arrives which was perfect timing. So the manager walked away and called the police, walked back to the table to inform the lady that he called the police and she immediately tries attacking him. Me and my friends are eating and laughing as we watch this manager try to calm this woman down in a professional way when all he really wanted to do was punch her right in the mouth. Eventually the cops showed up and ruined everything, they arrested the woman and the show was over. We ended up getting our meal for free due to the fact that we had to witness the event even though we absolutely loved it.
Don’t you guys realize it’s just going to be queued like every other map? That is unless they plan to add overflows which I can’t imagine happening until the beta map is tested thoroughly.
What is this so called queue? Try playing on a less stacked server.
Ele or Necro. Meteor shower has a ton of DPS because it hits 5 targets per meteor. Combine that with a tornado to double your power, and you can hit pretty hard.
Obsidian Sanctum Update: Players will now be able to enter the Obsidian Sanctum, the Eternal Battlegrounds jumping puzzle, directly through the WvW menu. Additionally, a new arena space has been added for combat between opposing groups of players, and the Borderlands Bloodlust buff will no longer apply in the Obsidian Sanctum.
Thank you, Anet! This is an amazing addition for the community that will use it. I can’t wait to see the new arena and try it out!

Maybe u should move to SoR. They claim they dont play for PPT neither but they at least can put numbers in open field fight.
Because “putting numbers” is fun. If Mag wanted, we could assemble quite possibly the scariest megablob of guild groups you’ve ever seen… it’s just boring.
after getting to play against sor+bg on reset i can say this is probably the funniest thing i have ever seen in gw2
claiming that t1na runs all ptv is wrong. there is no way they can run any kind of gear that has power even as minor stat.
I love the stigma against tanky players. WvW is about a team and our meta is made around AOE’s. Yes you get hit for 300 and laugh, but im hitting 5 people for 300 every second for 6 seconds. that’s 9k damage in 6 seconds.
Also stop disapproving T1 builds when you are tied with sos in last place.
I hit 5 people for 1500 every second. That’s 45000 damage in 6 seconds. I also have 3200 armor.
I will gladly help any T1 players with build optimizations, because they really really really need it.
