As mag guilds generally run tagless, we include any pugs in number counts when the other groups are running tags. If you have 15 guildies, but 25 pugs, you’re a 40 man group.

Mag doesn’t watch streams to ‘spy’ per se. We like to do ‘stream sniping’ my favorite was Bitcloud. It’s always enjoyable (maybe immature but this is a video game) to watch people rage over a video game when you kill them.

Bitcloud is my favorite to streamsnipe as well. When he moves to a different game because it’s too much. I know my job is done.

On another note, why do JQ roamers deem it necessary to /laugh every time they swarm you with 15 people? Is that typical of T1?

JQ roamers feel like beating us 15v1 is an accomplishment. if it was 15v2 they would have lost. so they need something to feel good about themselves.

The other day my raid was cutting through butt lust and one of my guys said he can’t really solo roam anymore because of JQ 10 mans. I said that was ridiculous, but not before it left my mouth did we see a JQ 10 man group building siege atop Carver’s butt.

As I raid with 25-30 most of the time, I try my best not to gank roamers, but this time was an exception.

Remember the time [PYRO] fought in TC’s garrison for over 45 minutes without wiping? I got about 100 dragonite from that, so, thanks, TC and JQ!

I just wish we could fight without skill lag. We fought queue zergs before the season started fine. It only recently became extremely bad. Not even being able to weapon swap hurts any kind of organized group a ton.

If you think we are some PvE guild that has never taken a T3 keep with people inside you are surely wrong as a matter of fact one of my favorite things to do is camp people at the waypoint as they spawn in trying to be a hero and save their keep. As said before we rally towards the end of EU prime and there are still pretty large groups going which I have had fun fighting but the fights do come to an end. If you think we have never been on the other side of a server PvDing us again you are wrong hell we would have just about paid for coverage like us in NA. You will see no chest thumping from me but I do hope to the good fights in the time we play when your server is still awake keep on coming.

As an American, I apologize for these people. We’re not all this stupid, I promise.

This match in EBG I ‘ve learned so much about how to actually play this game. I learned that it’s best to just jump in, smash 11111111 and hope for the best. Utilities? No need, you can’t activate them anyway. Clear that bar off.

Mistfire wolf is great because you can activate it before the fight when you might have a chance for your elite to go off, and it travels faithfully by your side until it gets blasted apart by the first .2 seconds of AOE spam.

A true test of one’s skill and prowess in the game. Really enjoying this so far.

EBG for the first few weeks will probably be unplayable. Just stick to the BLs.

Day crew won’t matter much if FA shows up again tonight, even if the entire night crew shows up. The question is, will FA game the system to put us in silver with them or go all the way to gold. My bet is they push SBI into gold then ease off.

I can’t speak for the rest, but I signed up for this in order to have a go at SBI on the leagues, so plz Mag show up and fight it out. I dunno about “gaming the system”, we just want to have fun busting zergs

A balanced group will probably have 6 guardians, 5 warriors, 2 mesmers, 4 necros, and 3 staff eles.

That’s 12 symbols, 2 chaos storms, 12 wells, and at least 8 different ele circles. That gives you a total of 34 red circles in the first bomb or two.

I’m split on a few things.

I would relish nothing more than SBI’s bandwagon making gold and then spectacularly imploding, but not at the expense of Maguuma being put in silver. Not at the expense of SoS either, I do enjoy fighting them too, and they absolutely deserve gold league above SBI.

At this point Mag has been slowly climbing in ratings above SBI, which goes to show which server has a community more stable on their decision to tank or to fight

It’s pretty much a done deal at this point. You guys on Maguuma clearly want it more, and SBI has so many factions pulling in all directions that there is no clear goal over there; and they are losing points because of it. At the current trajectory, SoS will overtake them since we take points from SoR while they try to take from us (Whether or not you play for PPT, it’s important to know how it works).

I am not sure which is gonna be best for Maguuma…gold or silver. But I have enjoyed Mag actually caring more for PPT than we normally do in an effort of get gold. I think a lot more care than admit it…it is just the ‘cool’ thing to do and talk about how much you do not care. Especially when you are just parroting something that a popular commander said.

I get PPT does not equal skill. But if Maguuma really does not care, then there would be no need to ever capture anything. Why not just stand in a blob in the bloodrust ruins and wait for open field fights? Or maybe the windmill at one of the south camps? GvG fights in open field pretty much mean nothing. My as well just que up for spvp. If you aren’t taking towers and keeps, why even bother going to WvW?

Does that mean I don’t want fun, balanced fights? Of course not. But those happen like 1 out every 20 fights seems like. I doubt there will be many good fights in the gold league. Though silver might be too easy, it might be more fun to gather ‘free’ loot bags than die over and over and have to spend a lot of coin on repairs.

I hope all these commanders pushing for gold will be out playing WvW as much as they have been the past couple weeks even if all 4 maps are 95% enemy colors. But I’d bet a lot of them won’t be on as much if they keep getting steamrolled by 4 times their numbers every time they take something. They might regret getting what they wish for.

Meh, there has always been some pride in holding our own BL against all odds.

But otherwise, I think most just like taking things to bait more fights. Back in the old pre-AC buff, pre-weird matchups, I used to care a lot about PPT, upgrading, etc, but back then we played the same servers all the time. There was a lot more pride in beating them.

Now I really just want to fight and get better at fighting. Spending 2-3 of my 4-5 hour raid with a long siege is just not worth my time anymore.

It’s now a logarithmic curve instead of a linear one. In other words the first buffs grant more points.

I can’t imagine what made you transfer to Mag that isn’t consistent with us wanting to fight stronger servers. Did you come for karma trains?

The last few weeks, we have faced Ebay, BP, CD, SoS and SBI. SoS and SBI PLANTED us. We didn’t beat either one. Ebay was great thru most of the week, I personally know the competition on BP (and they are good), and CD is pushing pretty good still, even though they are down in this current matchup. Mags is in a weird spot population-wise that will get us completely dominated against gold and will dominate almost 1/2 of silver. If I have to choose getting my kitten kicked constantly against 3-1 / 4-1 odds or winning, sorry, but I choose winning.

Just for the record, the guild I am in and I switched to maguuma as we were tired of the egos on BP. Maguuma is karma train after karma train after karma train. That isnt winning, that isnt fighting, that is just running with the pack accomplishing no long term benefits.

PPT means nothing. Most organized groups want gold for the chance at some good fights.

Do you really enjoy the matchups where we win by 50k+? Because we’ll have a lot of those if we stay in silver. Winning is boring. Bring on the losing!

Being outnumbered 3-1 or 4-1 is NOT fun under any circumstances.

How do you figure? Being outnumbered 3:1 or 4:1 is the BEST way to learn how to get better and fight harder.

How can anyone LEARN from getting killed constantly in those odds? What are you smoking and can you pass it over please?

This may be hard to grasp, but many groups on the server don’t die vs 2-3:1 odds.

It’s obvious you are new to WvW because you are suggesting your server is a “week day” server. Not to be rude but any match-up above T5 is more than a weekend warrior affair. Consistency is key and my “baddie” server has consistently held more map control than either you or FA and have consistently wiped your kitten zergs routinely. One night of disorganization from a server doesn’t mean we’re bad it just means we’ll come back tomorrow with a fresh perspective and the top PPT.

But keep talking because at this point you’re just talking to talk.

I don’t really see why people bother arguing here. Confirmation bias from both sides is pretty horrendous.

SBI definitely isn’t the worst set of players we’ve been against, but they’re nowhere near the skill levels of some others. I wish we were playing TC this week.

This is a competition you want to lose. The winner gets to be stomped for 7 weeks straight in what will be the least competitive matches in season 1. Why would anybody want that when they will get their closest chance to a balanced match in silver league?

SBI needs to get a high ranked match up to eat their rating and go higher. Easy match ups don’t raise your rank as much as blow outs against top ranked servers. The RNG will decide who takes sixth place, but whichever server it is, the prize is uncompetitive matches for seven weeks.

The current SoS/FA/JQ match is an example of what the average match will look like for seven weeks if SoS places in the gold league. Let the egos play it out, the rest of us just want to enjoy WvW without the stacked zerg meta and the massive population imbalances.

Because any server below rank 6 gives boring fights. Show me a guild group that runs 20 every night outside of T2, and I’ll take it back.

I’d rather fight 25 vs 80 than 25 vs 5.

If we stayed where we are, we would be 2nd of the middle league. A lot of us think we’re too big for that, so we’re pushing to get ranked 6th so we can be bottom of the top league.
