When I think of bad traits I think of always prepared. Realistically, dropping junk on the floor is pointless. I know they tried to patch it with duct tape and give it a 25% boost but that doesnt really help much on throw junk which is on the condition damage side. Its like trying to give bonus power damage to pistols. It does work better on booby trap of you can ever get it to go off. I think best fix is to just cut the part where you throw junk on the ground and just make it a 50% dmg increase instead.The way it is right now it cant decide what it is so it ends up doing nothing at all.

I think they can put stealth reveal only on certain stun breaks, that way there is a risk for the player that reveals the thief and it is a much harder decision for wanting to see them.
They can also only let the reveal-er see them so that there is still coordination required.

There would be risks for both sides and it would give certain skills a niche.
It would get people to use; utility goggles, elixir u, frenzy, quickening zephyr, haste, mantra of concentration, and whatever is least used for ele, guardian

I agree with this one for the best way to counter stealth

But yeah there is something off about warriors in pvp I think they could still use some more buffs. Or maybe cut the number of condition cleansing skills across all classes then maybe the 1h bleeds can last long enough to open up more viable builds on warrior.

But then again im not a warrior I wouldnt know :P

I personally don’t care, but this feels exactly like the way they would grief Priest players in WoW. We would ask for something and then we’d see it on an NPC later. True story. It happened way too often to be coincidence. I can think of a dozen or more examples off of the top of my head.

I really hope that isn’t the case, but when you have kids designing games it can happen.

I really think diminishing returns affects boxes. When I used to buy them, I had the best luck when the first thing I did when I got on was open them. But whenever I opened some after extended periods of playing I would get crap. I wouldn’t be surprised if just opening more chests adds to the dr, which creates these situations where a person buys a lot and you don’t get the rare stuff.

I can for certain confirm guardian aegis but can’t 100% on signets. Though other people have also noticed they seem to be significantly faster than others.

..I might have done it to someone. Me and some other thief kept winning and I had just finished all the achievements from crab toss in that game, so I decided to celebrate by letting someone else win for once. I’m so generous

My advice is don’t use an engie for crab toss. You will be at a disadvantage. Speed signets seem to still work in the minigame and guardians still get to use their passive aegis. Only play engie if you like to be the underdog

I manage to win down state fights with my engineer. It really isn’t that bad at all. It was bad in beta when skill 1 did next to nothing in damage, 3 did next to nothing in damage and dropped your hp by a considerable amount. Couldn’t rally off of anything in pve with it, didn’t do too much in pvp with it. Warrior is worse off as they need to either be lucky or trait for vengeance to be really useful.

Warriors vengeance still beats our booby trap. Ive had a few fights were me and a warrior both go down, but they always win thanks to being able to stomp me.

I found booby trap to be pretty useless no matter what others say. In pve I use it..boom! and..10% damage done, 20 if I’m lucky. But by then my health is so low I die either way. In pvp, if theres any chance I am able to use it, same situation.

Im split on how I feel about this. On one hand I dont want to see l.a become bikini bottom, plus thinking of asuras in bikinis made me cringe. On the other hand there is my norn I like a lot.

Well, I know how he must have felt. Last night there was a guy who kept constantly winning every round and just wouldn’t leave, no one else could win cause he just knew better than the people in that game. I think using the reel on you is a valid tactic since you were probably the most likely to win again that time so all he was doing is playing the game. Whispering insults is just going too far though.

I hate this mini game, Its probably the worst mini game I have ever played, yet I feel like I’m forced to play in it for the achievements. (Yes sadly Im an achievement hunter)
When you are up along against 8 other players your chances of getting any achievements such as winning decrease by a lot. It would had help if there was a limit on the number of people per game, like four at max.

Though I would like to thank everyone in this random pug for not getting greedy and helping everyone get the achievements

Im not sure about elixir gun but the other two are quite normal for an engie to suffer through. I do know supply crate doesnt really go off until the end of the animation, so if you are interupted or interupt yourself even if you see the crate land its not going to go off

We also got the alternative before. Problem is the drop rate. First you have to get a chest. I farmed for 2-3 hours with 257% magic find tonight. Got one chest. Out of the chests you get you furthermore have to win another RNG game to get what you want from the chest. I didn’t succeed.

In which event did we get this alternative? The closest one I remember is christmas but it wasn’t same loot.

The fact that you bought $50 worth of them after they have used RNG skins for the last 4 events is exactly why we have RNG skins. Tons of cash for them and the item stays rare so people keep trying to buy more. I do it based on if I like the event. If I enjoy the event I buy items related to it to show my support. If I don’t like the event or the method then I don’t buy.

Its great that you do it to support anet if you liked the event but not everyone does it like that. Most just do it if they see a skin/mini/items they want and spend money thinking they’ll get it if they just open one more. Sadly that is almost never the case and this thread is for those people.

eh I bought 10 chests… got 2 breather skins. Well won’t be buying anymore chests for now. I like the greatsword skin a lot, but just cant afford to buy tons and tons of gems for a rare chance, so looks like another weapon skin I wont be getting.

I like this version better. A new event is here, and with it comes a new rng box filled with numerous wonderful exclusive skins! Time to buy some and get that new skin!…you say. However, just let me warn you right now you will not get it. You will spend more than 50 dollars and feel bad afterward when all you got to show is a 15% swim boost.
After every event, there is always someone who feels horrible and has to post about it on forums on how he lost all his money after trying to get that mini drake minipet, that chainsaw skin, those elusive winter minipets and so on. Trust me, this has happened before to numerous people. It has happened to me, it might have happened to you, and if you don’t listen to this warning it will happen to you.
If you want the skins, go farm karkas and hope for a chance to get those chest drops, at least we did get an alternative option for chests this time around.

Mechanics wise you can’t get any more plain than an engineer. Average life, average armor, low speed, very low access to stealth, no clones and no weapon swap. What we do have though is a few more skills than the rest at a time thanks to our toolbelt skill and kits depending on how many we decide to take. Take away our kit advantage (which I doubt will happen anyways) and all you have left is a plain class, your average soldier if you will.

Well, my only complain on turrets right now is autotool installation. 10% heal every ten seconds is really low. I’m hoping it gets combined with metal plating to make it more worthwhile.

I know you guys have a marketing manager from some f2p company like nexon or something but this is getting ridiculous. Just sell the skins straight up on cash shop, don’t fill your game with more rng crap. Until then I’m not spending any more money on those rng boxes.

Most likely why boons are powerful are because most they are usually given to the naturally weaker classes. Take the usual guardian vs warrior comparison. Both nearly the same except with warrior having t1 base hp and guardian having t3 base hp. In a normal fight, warriors have the advantage but during that time those boons are up the advantage is reversed. Then its up to the boonless classes to find a way to overcome those boons, or get help from boon stripping classes, and if they do the advantage switches again.
As for boons if they are really overpowered or not, I couldn’t say but they definitely have to be strong enough to give the user an advantage. I’m just throwing my thoughts out there.
