They probably wouldn’t because most of JQ would take a week of pve break while 1/5th of their coverage maintains 640ppt. The population/coverage gulf between tiers is massive, and anyone who disagrees hasn’t been on a server that’s floated between them.

There are so many things about breakouts that make the game worse that it should simply be removed. If I had to give one, it’s that breakouts in no way accomplish why they were stated to be put in.

Huh, weird how DB were at inner water gate and YB at West inner gate and didn’t touch each other once.
All I have to ask is how much gold did Yaks pay DB commanders to do a simultaneous attack?

Generally the modus operandi of BP when assaulting the same thing as yak’s is let them do the dirty work for us, then mop up the remains…

BP and yaks both took their spawn camps and went directly to west/east within 1 minute of each other. All we can hope for is more yaks/DB coordinated efforts, but it was a good time in garrison.

Confusion hits you for ANY action – dodging, casting a buff/heal on yourself, anything – the condition removal that gets rid of it will not hit you, because it does the damage after the effect of the ability cast. So if you are hit with 10+ stacks of confusion, you’d better hope your first cond. removal ability stops the confusion, or say goodbye to a few thousand hp. I don’t encounter many confusion mesmers, but they can be pretty annoying.

Also, why the hate on mesmers only? Engineers can stack confusion pretty well too.

It only hurts dodge rolls if you have a trait that casts an ability on roll.

I don’t know what a “confusion mesmer” is. There’s no mesmer that doesn’t cast confusion. The OP is talking about Glamour probably going by his server and recent… events. Glamour is really terrible outside of superzergs, which is why you won’t see them often. Even in superzergs, you really need a few for it to start being brutal.

Pretty sure we killed yaks at SE, SW, BP at watergate, yaks again at inner west, BP again at watergate. Never saw them fight each other unless both came back at a later time to try it again.

Mags like to distract players with fightclub; so not everyone gets to participate in getting better scores at WVW. Then again, it was fun fighting them. Very strong ground forces, but very … weird forum warriors.

We’re doing a fight club while 2nd in ppt/score vs the 3rd place in ppt/score while the 1st goes all tryhard. We just like to pvp. Maybe CD will have fun one day~

The only way to combat zergs, are with zergs. We have roamers and duellers, BV being one of the roamers/duellers. This could be said about any of the servers. I have yet to see any real roamers, as when we go roaming, your server tends to call a huge number of reinforcements to deal with our roamers.

Complaining about nightcapping? Welcome to T3, we have been dealing with this for 3+ weeks already, and we haven’t even cried about it as much as you guys in the first 3 days. It’s a part of the game, adapt to it, whining doesn’t accomplish crap, but make everyone QQing about look like babies.

Yaks and Maguuma have slightly more people than us during the afternoon hours (Yaks more than Maguuma), Maguuma have quite a few more than us late evening/early morning (Yaks go to bed early), but for a relatively short period we basically own all of the maps thanks to our Asians. That’s what the 10k lead is about.

In the end it works out that we’re fairly close in score and likely overall numbers throughout the 24h clock. Welcome to T3. Get used to it, we’re going to be playing together a while.

Weekends are Dragonbrand’s Kryptonite, anyway.

No one cares about night capping. They were being pedantic to be pedantic. I guess it should be a mark of pride that people look at our midnight-6am ppt and think “they don’t know how to defend with low numbers.”

troll siege would become a lot more effective with no despawn mechanic

The reason they aren’t doing non-rams and siege capping an area (5/1000) is because the one trolling doesn’t want to be refreshing ~100 weapons.

Not only capping local limits, they would be capping global siege. Trolls capping your global ram limit (which is a separate limit from siege, and golems are also separate from both) is one thing, but if they can suddenly ram cap you and siege cap you, you won’t be able to place a ballista/cart/ram on the map at all.

The siege limit and despawn mechanics are very closely related.

What is the point of pouring money and supply into something that’s just going to disappear for no reason at all. Don’t tell me about map capping siege and troll siege. These problems work themselves out in a balanced map. Although the troll siege griefing is really a problem, but that’s being dealt with by Anet. Offense already has a huge advantage most of the time. Defenders would rather be able to play the ga,e instead of stopping the fighting to go run across the keep to tick siege on the other side.

If there’s no siege limit and no despawn timer, there could be some very big issues. It’s not a realistic change they could make since it would spawn more problems.

Refreshing siege is the worst/most important/most tedious.

Would it be realistic for the game to send you a message ~10 mins, 5 mins from despawn if you were the one that placed the siege? I don’t know kitten about programming but this could be done all client side so it wouldn’t really stress anything, right?

Fastest way to rank up is karma train from atleast 2 servers and they flip objectives behind each other. but i believe this tier it is not possible and found out that defending is a very reasonable way to gain WXP as long as there are attackers.

sitting in a keep and upgrading them isnt a very good way to WXP but is needed

Btw, i was running at the same map as CL and their headcount was of 31 people at their peak, 50+ is an exageration.

It was 30 CL, the 50+ is because the daywalker NNK was there with about 10 + 10 other DB, and BP popping in occasionally.

I’m happy with how Mag has done the past couple of days. Really great communication. Even when yaks tried to overwhelm with 3-4 targets at once we didn’t lose anything out of priority and the info was rolling in.

That’s not over-communication at all tbh. Speaking just general things to keep communication rolling, even normal things, is common and healthy for good group play. If your comms are silent in a battle it’s a negative.

The only thing new in T3 for us is there’s not 4 T2 servers anymore. T3 is actually where we belong and should have been for the last month. Except SoS needed time for more of its guilds to transfer off.

I guarantee SoS will be a better match for CD and SBI than Maguuma and we’ll all be happier next week!

most my wxp isnt from killing zergs.
it all comes from flipping keeps/towers as fast as possible with as little resistance as possible. it is only possible because of the tier my server is in and as soon as we move up/if we move up, this will no longer be possible.

also tagging isnt the best option. zerg busting the same group over and over again will reward u very little.
you need to rotate which servers zerg u want to hit and space it out so that when u do hit them you will be rewarded with 40+ wxp

Yep. That’s all the rank system has done….giant zergs of 40 to 60 people running around capping things as fast as they can with no desire to actually fight other players and zero consideration given to defense.

Not sure this rank system added anything except YAG (yet another grind).

This can happen anywhere. It’s player vs player whether it’s 1v1 or 130v1. Get a friend, come back at a different time, or equip all escape skills/traits and find one of the invisibilty fountains.

You guys are stomping in the gvg against the random mumble group when I’ve been on. Really improved a lot over the last few weeks! If it weren’t for time zones a lot of mag guilds would love to do 15+ gvgs against Awe. I’d love to see PYRO or ME vs Awe.

I got tired of killing CD bads over and over so I decided to solo guild groups from SBI. Here’s one of me killing most of the [EA] guild in one go. It was probably just a lucky battle though since I don’t actually have any skill and just save the wins instead of losses. Ignore the 25 stacks and outmanned buff please, I swear I got those from farming coyotes instead of SBI for the hour before.

I mentioned in another post how some of the MAG trash talk is point and laugh material…..this is a good example as are most by this person……cherry picked video like this is pretty meaningless. like another poster suggested, if you really want the credibility and recognition you seem to crave post an uncut video from when you leave spawn for an extended time through many uncut fights….everyone has their good and bad moments…showing highlights of just your good ones and trying to say it’s typical is very comical and is only “typical” of insecure children if anything.

Honestly, his post is doing exactly as he intended. Trolling or not, though, Razi is one of the best solo players and commanders on Maguuma. These videos hardly show his full skill.

Not really, because I was using his failed attempt (as far as I am concerned) at trolling/trash talking as a so comically obvious example of the many laughable and failed attempts by MAGs forum warriors…..it is like the “They see me and all go run and hide” lines that he and another poster reuse over and over…..that kind of “you’re chicken” stuff stopped working on me in the 5th grade….

It’s actually fair to have a limit on players in WvW, just like there’s a siege limit. Otherwise you’d have 10,000 people in EB vs 20.

The wvwvw limit seams somewhat low compared to server size.

By what measure? The vast majority of servers never hit queues, or hit them on only one of four maps. That makes it seem like a pretty good limit!
