No it is not out of date. I was originally on Yak’s Bend. I’ve had plenty of experience with DB, Mag, and kain. Even if I wasn’t it isn’t hard to piece together gathered information as to what exactly is going on. None the less I know from experience as well.

Mag went hard on kain on reset, they got almost below 100 PPT, Mag and DB stayed 250ish, eventually Mag hit 320 and then went to bed slowly. Now Kain has convenient amnesia and makes bad posts. Have fun tossing Kain around when you eventually meet. They have t1 pop with t5’ish tactics/strategy/leading.

I don’t care. WM is bad, this isn’t the same WM that won those championships, right? I know we never had the coverage to hang in scores but I went to EB expecting something much more fearsome. Fighting the Zerg is like bullfighting. As long as you know potential approach angles or control which direction they can attack from they become declawed kittens.

Play their veil, mass invis., and portal game back at them and they will seek out softer targets, like a properly glorified Karma train (which they are.)

I found it funny how even in T3 the trash talk is still happening. They speak as if Mag and DB never have zergs.

There were many times where Mag and DB clearly outnumber Kaineng on maps. But Kaineng still held on and eventually win.

I think you’re confused little kaineng man. Reset is when all tables are even, and Kaineng showed that they didn’t know pvp, strategy, or even siege placement on most maps. You weren’t outnumbered, you were seeing what t2 will look like~

That was not WM full zerg.. and if you want to fight againts WM full zerg. come to EB because lots of them only play on EB..

I think I’ll go where I enjoy playing. I do think it was the WM full zerg. EB was 100% capped, we were pushing EK, and suddenly large ball of WM came through the EK to drive us out.

I don’t see how getting more than 20-25 players makes what they do any more effective. They literally run in a line and auto attack. You can treat them like a bull and get ~400 range to the side of them and run along side them without being touched. We sat outside of EK baiting WM, but they stopped showing up after the 3rd total wipe.

When we faced BT we thought they were WM-lite using those tactics, but now that most of our organized groups have faced WM, BT is way superior. Maybe WM can learn a few things from them when you face FA.

I’m a really skeptical person on the whines from people in this forum, so I didn’t buy into it until Mag BL today. We were struggling on two fronts and didn’t have the bodies to spread west, east, and stop camps. Brushed it off to low participation until I heard there was a queue. I checked every area multiple times, and couldn’t find more than 40ish people. The queue was there for about 5 hours until we lost everything.

I really hope Anet is looking into this. If you did reduce pop caps, then just say so. Then we can plan WvW strategy around the new cap, because it really changes how you need to play. Any response from Anet is welcome on this.

For what it’s worth, I thought the queue stuff was just whining until we had it hit Mag today. Pop caps were normal on reset, and then on saturday we’re getting queues on home BL with 30-40 heads… for 6 hours. Multiple skeptical people have gone in to count heads, and it’s no more than 50 at most with a queue on the BL.

Not sure what’s causing it, but Anet should really start looking into this.

Mag has relatively low participation on weekends after reset. It also feels like one of those weeks where people are recouping and awaiting the server shuffle. You’ll probably see more of us in PPT starting monday.

2. Kain has only recently moved up through the rankings and is learning.
3. Shaka, we weren’t “Schooled” on reset. In anyone’s defense it is hella hard to defend two zerging servers in your own BL, which hats off to DB did very well on reset at Garrison.
4. The week will play out, then we can see the real strengths and weaknesses of each server.

Having two servers focusing you on your BL is literally how the game works, I think Kain is a bit fresh to WvW strategy if you don’t think that’s normal.

The week will play out with you winning from oceanic presence. No one is surprised by this. We put our egos in reset and it satisfied us. +320 ppt~

Thing is, everyone wants to highlight Kainengs bads, it’s the same story in every one of our threads, I should have screenshot all the times I’ve seen other servers roll in and get crushed by equal numbers or less but then that would be blasphemy, I’d be trolled off the forums if I had posted any. Every server has their bad wvw players, labeling the entire servers NA group when you yourself have only most likely faced a portion of them is an unfair statement after day one. If you still think all of kains NA are bads then so be it, we’ll be seperated next week regardless of the score anyways.

The theme that drives Kaineng threads is the NA primetime players being very bad at WvW and especially PvP. That’s usually the common issue.

No you wouldn’t. We’ve had holes you could walk in for 6 hours. You’ve been in our lord room for about 1 1/2 hours. Honestly this is another thing Kain needs to work on, because you’re losing 10 for every 1 we lose. We’re going to lose Garrison to people going to bed at this point.

Remember guys. This is reset night. This means absolutely nothing in terms real coverage. This is the night where majority of players pull all nighters and burn out 50% of their WvW playerbase.

No alliances, but going by borderland spawn, Mag will naturally be pushing into Kain. It’s the same reason it was easier for us to push into you last match – SW spawn is too good.

Mag/DB have really strong morale, so yeah, you’ll be getting fights all week. We still have a lot of roamers. Points wise, I wouldn’t be surprised if mag/db lead in ppt for the reset/weekend. Basing that on how Kain did versus Yaks on reset.

This is literally not possible if you mean by points. Mag’s night time weekday crew is like 10-15 people across all borderlands. DB’s daytime crew is similarly anemic going by proportion. If kaineng took 2nd in day and night during the week, they’d still win by points.

Reset and weekend should be really competitive, though.

SBI was tier 2, now they are expected to drop to tier 4 and its not b/c the system is broken. Its b/c it works. Half their WV3 population left, it showed as they started to get rolled and now they will be dropped to a expected level of play in Tier4. How can you people say the system is not working?

I don’t think the reset is because the system doesn’t work, it’s because the system doesn’t work as intended. The reset is because the system has flaws that they want to correct and improve upon, and your own example of SBI is a good reason for it.

Anet has no delusions that this reset will be clean, but the long term health of their ranking system is worth a short term mess. The end of free transfers is the perfect time for them to do it.

I highly recommend changing your build and gear if you’re losing 2-3 people to a glass thief. It’s apparently happening to you often if you’re posting a thread about it.

Why would making it ridiculously time consuming to get be a better thing? I sometimes forget this is an MMO and people relate gigantic grinds to skill or ability.

This will be a fun match even though Kaineng should win this from coverage. Looking forward to wiping your daytime guys at 1:3 odds or worse!

We took almost all of DB with the outmanned buff, and we took chunks of yours with pretty small groups. Your defense was that you had too many players, so you couldn’t stop us.

I wasn’t there to see our borderlands get pillaged but I bet it had to do with ques in every borderland and eb at this time and the people who need to get where they need to go to defend being unable to do it.

What about the other borderlands now? Are you losing those because you have too many queues?

Stoneslammer, you’re doing more to encourage transfers than anyone you’re complaining about. For the record, I know of no one actively encouraging transfers. If you mean the normal /t joking in the borderlands, then I think you don’t “get” the normal BL humor.

If you are mad that people would rather go do something else than grinding 10 hour defense which involves little or no combat, then you have some control issues.

The ratings reset will give some new t4 servers I’m pretty sure. Slight chance of a new t3. Doesn’t change next week’s match, though.

West Keep is a joke. Able to be safe trebbed on outer/inner from SW camp, which should be a given to the SW spawn team. You can receive a written warning of a server’s intent and still inevitably lose West Keep.

In short, there is a subset of Maguuma players who decided not to contribute to WvW on Monday and are actively trying to disrupt communication. It now costs GEMS to transfer so I find this behavhior unethical. I hope this stops because it’s embarrasing.

We tried to warn you. We tried very, very hard to warn everyone. Can’t blame us that everyone thought we were joking.

To the people who think WvW belongs to them or Maguuma belongs to them, it doesn’t.

I think you’re over exaggerating. People are not spending 10 hours a day grinding out defense because they don’t enjoy doing it for 7 days straight. You’re OG Maguuma, so you should know we don’t do things if we stop enjoying them.

We learned and know how to stop FA’s siege from the first 3 days, so why should we repeat it for the last 4 if it’s clear how tedious it is? I’d rather we play for fun, and the score we get is the score we get. That means we’ll eventually be in a tier where we can have fun instead of grinding out borderlands defense for 10 hours a day.

We didn’t mind DRgn or RET or Gods. Honestly you guys need work on open field fighting. The biggest threat was when you set more people and siege on a safe treb then we could muster to counter it.

I think Mags is very closely matched in population to Dragonbrand and belongs in tier 3. Its more like Fort Aspenwood belongs in tier 2.

This is probably true, as we seem pretty even with them but with opposite peak times. I just rarely see DB when I play. I’m not sure who would make a good third opponent, though, and with Kaineng moving up, it will be another tier 2 server the week after next.

I’m hoping the score reset can lift a hidden t3 server out of the lower ranked servers. Right now I think Mag/DB are t3 and everyone above that (replace SBI with Kain) is t2 or t1. FA probably used to be a t3 server, but the amount of transfers they got have pushed them up.

Not going to lie, a lot of people said kitten it when the 6 hour west keep siege scenario began at like 10pm and went to do more enjoyable things.

We know how to hold you forever (if DB doesn’t go knocking on east with golems) but we’ll never ask our ele’s to do a rotation for 6 hours, and no one wants to protect supply routes and run it manually for 6 hours.

This is one of the reasons players aren’t enjoying this tier, because as you move up, only the tedium increases. The fights get worse, the strategy becomes more dull, and the opponents get less interesting.

If FA’s players on mag BL really enjoy sitting on a safe spot treb for 6 hours in a clustered group of 40-50, then good on you. Good luck in t2 where you can do more tedious things.

Maguuma has spent it’s entire WvW lifetime losing. We like losing and we know how to defend. If you can’t crack the egg that is Maguuma, maybe you should hit DBs borderlands.

If you look at the last 10 matches (not including this one):

Maguuma won 4 of its matches and only came last in 2.

Fort Aspenwood only won 1 match and was last in 5.

Is it really winning when we spent 3 of those first places sitting around for 18 hours of the day with nothing to do?
