The “serious” dungeon runners have no “right” to be protected from evil MF users. MF was put into the game and balanced on purpose. You are meant to play with MF users.

Except that by making bags drop at my feet in WvW and allowing me to spam AoE looting with a hotkey on my mouse, they’ve trivialized it to the point of becoming a pure annoyance. In PvE before the update it was a task (a stupidly easy one, but at least it preserved immersion to some extent), but as it is now there is no reason to not automate it. Nobody has any difficulty picking up their loot, any more than a healthy person has any difficulty manually breathing through their nose… but it’s not something we want to have to think about! Spamming F is unnatural.
All they did was reduce how much you have to spam F. It was equally ‘trivial’ before, but it still applies to DYING which half the people complaining here are still saying they leave bags behind.
I think it needs to be pointed out that racial skill buffs CANNOT make one class stronger than the other in a dual because…

You still severely overpower all those lower level zones. The only thing you’re not going to overpower is dungeons, and that’s as it should be.
Even in dungeons it’s too easy – try AC story mode with five 30s and then again with everyone maxed out. The difference is startling.
IMO traits are fine but level 80 white gear shouldn’t be so dramatically different to level 1 white gear.
When scaled to level 1 there isn’t.
Somebody probably only linked the trait to the adrenaline gain and forgot the actual counter.

I’ve not really played many FPSs but I think I understand the concept of reloading – it’s an action which entails a situational choice. Not only does it cost you a second in which you cannot fire, for some weapons it consumes additional ammo.

PVT in level 80 Fractals…. It must take days to complete Dredge.
Actually, less than 1 hour. Guardian in PVT gives other enough freedom to use something more suitable for dps.
See when an npc hits for 20k per hit, you MIGHT buy yourself another hit in full PTV, but you also bought the npc 6 more attempts to hit. Full PTV guardian also isn’t doing anything with their stats to help allies, so you’re not protecting them more now than without PTV and the npcs last longer.

Didn’t you somewhere list it with 1,56 million? My feedback had 17 hits, 33k each. Thats 561k damage which is 35%. In an average group it would have mostlikely been 22k hits or less. So with lots of reflects (hitting max. 20) it would be about 30%.

Well I have a 74% crit chance without any boons. Fury brings me to 94. The banner puts me around 98-100. 90% crit damage is without the banner. I think the banner puts me at 105…
The banner adds just over 8% crit chance so if you math’ed everything else out properly, ur over 100% :P
An autoloot feature will over encumber you and force you to walk mid-fight and I’m fairly certain Anet doesn’t care that people who can’t manage to hit loot once every 4 seconds might miss something if they wipe or that people who choose not to respawn immediately are risking the loot that generates on their corpse.
Blinds should really just shift where aoe’s drop instead of making them miss altogether. Why can I still jump in a perfectly straight line to where I wanted to go, but the shock wave I generate goes through things because I had dust in my eyes?
on the other hand none of the warriors hammer skills quite compare to the guardians [banish] in terms of satisfaction on a clean hit.
Sounds like you haven’t quite discovered the joys of Earthshaker in an enemy zerg yet? Especially with high 100% Crit Damage and enough Crit Chance buffs for near 100% Crit Chance.
Also, leap off a keep wall into enemy zerg -> Death From Above -> Earthshaker -> Stomp = is a lot of fun.
Hammer builds only get that much crit chance on already stunned enemies. Earthshaker is your stun.
Tapping aoe loot once will loot everything with like… 900 radius? Everything, not 1 bag at a time. You’re not spamming F, you’re tapping it either as you move or as exp indicators pop up.
If it helps, I use a sigil of accuracy because I feel that with that 5%, I crit more and when I crit, I reach into my +90% critical damage pool. Would sigil of force actually be better?
Would need your exact crit chance/dmg to say precisely what the difference is, but smother/night will basically always be better than accuracy for realistic stat sets. How do you only have 90% crit dmg in zerker w/green banner?

My preferred way of comparing, and I believe a more accurate way is as such:
(1 – Crit Chance) + (Crit Chance * Crit Damage)To use your examples:
(1 – (80% + 20%)) + ((80% + 20%) * (150% + 30%)) = 1.8
(1 – (55% + 20%)) + ((55% + 20%) * (150% + 70%)) = 1.9Thus, over time, having 100% uptime of Fury, a base crit chance of 55% with a 70% crit damage bonus (220% total) will out damage a base crit chance of 80% with a 30% crit damage bonus. This of course assumes that all other damage related stats stay the same.
Just to make that simpler
(1 – CritChance) + (CritChance*(Critdmg + 1.5))
=1 – CritChance + CritChance*(Critdmg + 1 + 0.5)
=1 – CritChance + CritChance + CritChance*(Critdmg + 0.5)
=1 + CritChance*(Critdmg + 0.5)
1 + (.55+.2)(.7+.5) = 1.9
1 + (0.8+.2)(.3+.5) = 1.8

If you really have never noticed, hitting full inventory and looting 1 more thing over encumbers you. Autoloot will trigger this repeatedly.
Air has very few decent control abilities that are under a 30 sec CD that last longer then 1-2 second…
The only exception is scepter 3.
I’m not saying that everything should be buffed.
In fact, I think they have balance earth, fire and water quite well.
Air just seems a bit under done compared to the other elements with few control abilities on long CD’s…
All CC’s are long cd’s…
Give us useful racial skills and maybe a racial trait line… oh and another 20 levels to earn the points to put in that line. That should do fine.

The same problem makes the gsword might stacking trait counterproductive in organized groups. It also makes any warrior with 5 points in arms completely ruin the bleed dps of others in their party.
If levelling is going to be so pointless in the end, why even have it? And 80 levels of it too, way more than most mmos.
If you’re going to have the decrease- should have an increase when you go into higher level areas too.
While we’re at it, why even have a game? Just log in and enter your name on the high score board.

If its still so easy to burn him down then there’s no problem in taking away the ‘I Win’ button. DPSing him down quickly is a legitimate strategy, using a gimmick so he hits himself in the face for 3653742454 damage is just so… Cheap, smart, but cheap.
You’re missing the point. It’s not an ‘I Win’ button for anyone but a handful of groups. Have you tried this in a pug? It doesn’t work. Feedback still does good damage, but nothing even close to this. Have you even tried full melee in a pug? That doesn’t work either. Plenty of times it doesn’t even work in an organized group.
Nerfing Feedback will make SOLO say “oh well, back to killing him in ~80 seconds”. It will barely affect pug Lupi fights at all. And mesmer will start being dropped from speed runs.
Nothing you are saying makes it not dumb that feedback can hit that hard…
A while back we recruited a new guy into the guild, been playing warrior for a couple of months and thought he was on a good build, with the right gear for damage dealing.
And this is exactly why it’s a bad idea. You assume there’s a “right” build, and “right” armor.
Reread that, the warrior wanted to be a damage build, he wasn’t achieving the numbers that others could and the issue was his traits and gear wasn’t actually correct for the build he intended to be.

I would pay upwards of $25 for a race change instead of taking up another 200 of my hours to level up the same profession with a different race
Just FYI, the gold to craft to 80 in less than an hour if ur organized about it would be ~$20 if you went $ -> gems -> gold -> buy off tp without even using buy orders.

Why does their age or a little dinky star matter? o.O you don’t just magically lose your gifts of exploration and your gear skins can be transferred.
That other $5 would buy you most of a set of gear, but the free badges of honor you’re getting currently would fix that for you anyway.
And yes, they do go invulnerable when people who have aggro have too big of a difference in height with the mob. This is a core mechanic in the game to prevent people from using map exploits to kill mobs that can’t attack back due to terrain (this was a big problem in gw1).
It’s not based on height, I can stand at the spawn in with my LBow and shoot at the last harpies on the platforms. They won’t go invuln but they will reset their health unless somebody else is actually in a spot they can shoot.
How much faster could the [SOLO] group kill Lupicus if they went with that team comp rather than 1 mesmer 4 warrrios, I wonder.
Team composition used in those speedkills needs as much burst as possible. His is more about sustained damage.

While anet is supposedly tweaking all of the dungeons, unless they do a complete overhaul of professions, 1 guard 1 mes 3 zerker warriors will still be the most popular group composition, and one of the most viable in many situations, including this one.
There will always be an ‘optimal’ party setup for a single piece of content. No overhaul will ever change this…
definitely a problem currently, though with the introduction of 900 lootrange it’s gotten a lot better. I still don’t get why the chests have to be looted at all. why not just remove them and add side-chests for all bosses as well as completion so players can open them when they have time (and inventory space). this would also fix the ‘just a sec, inv full’ at least someone in the group always has (yes, I’ve been that person as well a few times). sidechests are a really useful mechanic, I wish they’d be used far more often.

… using a strategy is how it’s supposed to be done, bashing your keyboard with your face is not.
You need an average of 50 vuln stacks to cap a boss 100% of the time. A warrior will hit about 10 stacks average with A/M and OMM, and a sword mesmer gets about 4. That means a VERY coordinated 4-warrior 1-mesmer team gets 44 stacks of vuln, or 22 sustained on a boss. A vuln-stacking engineer gets 25 stacks even; that’s a 15-stack advantage over a warrior, which means you can cut out a warrior altogether and still cap vuln. Since most classes have some incidental vuln stacking, you can usually cut out a second warrior even and have the other two replacements be enough to cap vuln.
Takes 0 consideration for the duration of a vuln to determine coverage, just throws out assumed numbers. Love it.
You could set up a macro to spam the loot key, although I’m not sure that’s permitted by the ToS. Personally I’d just like to have all drops go straight to my inventory.

No it doesn’t and Anet has already said that 1 action per key is allowed for macros. Auto-loot keybind is already limited to one use per second so it can’t be spammed anyway. Just set it up to attach to the back button on your mouse and have it repeat every second or so.
There’s a big difference between an infinite loop script and reading an X as a Y.
Also on the rush even after you have the 15 if you want you can switch to alts and run in again until the timer runs out to get the chest again. Tho if your luck is like ours with the Quaggan one you may not want to do it again.
Quaggan isn’t that bad, just abuse the fact that underwater you can move in 3 dimensions.
