If that’s true I doubt the female sylvari is scarlet. What female sylvari do you actually know well? Caithe is the only one I can think of and I doubt she’d turn evil.

The queen’s gauntlet. A nice challenge, more strategy required than hit the thing until it dies. It’s a good addition.

The pavilion on the other hand, is horrible. Loads of players zerging the champs. This with the most recent change makes it so that you can’t see the enemies or the AOE circles at time. You have to defeat the champs to get tickets to enter the gauntlet. This makes it very frustrating to enter the gauntlet, and when the gauntlet is going on, it lag and making it infinitely harder.

So many times already I have died to an enemy I cant see. I have just given up on this content because of this.

I get that this was done more for PvP and WvW, but I think this patch proves that PvP needs to be split from PvE. PvE can not function on the same mechanics PvP does. Balancing skills for PvP makes them useless in PvE, and making skills useful in PvE makes them overpowered for PvP. Making players appear over mobs works better for PvP and WvW but that makes PvE infinitely harder when you can’t see what you’re attacking or the enemies around you. If it continues like this, PvE is going to die off, you’re slowly strangling it.

The cost of not only sprockets, but also gold really does make buying these useless, though but it’s really just another alternative way of buying things.

Sadly, one sure-fire way to discourage zerker parties is to make all dungeons contain damage or debuffs that cannot be removed or are unavoidable…and that do not damage you based on % health, but by a static number. So if a thief with 10k HP is running all zerker, and this aoe damage hits him(unavoidable) and causes a flat 2500 damage each second for 3 seconds..that thief is up a creek man.

But then that opens the door to extremely lazy and boring dungeon design. But i bet you, you’ll see a lot less zerkers.

Or add in some enrage mechanics if the boss senses all zerker gear =)

I think that’s the idea with confusion but confusion hurts you based on a percentage of your hp each time you attack, instead of hurting you more the harder you hit.

Besides what about me, I prioritize toughness over vitality, so while I don’t have the highest hp total, I have a ton of armor. So a flat damage that ignores armor would screw my build over, even though i’m not the targeted build.

Maybe change confusion to be one stack, stack duration, damage more the harder you hit, and that number is reduced by toughness, while having a higher vitality would naturally be better with that combination because damage is not dependent on your hp so it would be better to have more hp.

Anet just released a bunch of gold into the economy with the achievement point system, they have to try to take gold out somehow.

You’ll run into that in any game. Theres nothing anet can do about that, because it’s not their fault of the player’s mindset.

When I went to do the aetherblade dungeon one of our party members left the party because he refused to do the dungeon with a level 62 ranger (the character I was on). Too bad for him because we didn’t even wipe, despite that being my first (and last) time in the dungeon (not that the dungeon wasn’t good, it was just near the end of that LS).

People are always to serious in games. Some players however, like me, don’t care that much. Just don’t try to run a dungeon seriously underleveled and as long as you’re attacking the bosses, i’m fine with you.

Have you ever noticed how much longer load time is when you go to an overflow? It has to go down a list until it finds a server that isnt full.

This would make load times so much longer for every area, make it frustrating for guild members to play together due to different overflows with some being full and make the server run slower due to all the players on one server.

You do know servers are not this magical machines that can host millions of connections at a time. They’re high end computers on a good internet connection. Have multiple servers reduces lag because if there were only one server, all the players would be requesting information from one computer every second at the same time.

I’ve seen this done on smaller games, but GW2 is by no means a small game.

Well they do have Steve Blum for Rytlock, so apparently that had the extra coin to go Strong.

Rytlock is a major character, showing up in the PS, dungeons, and most recently the LS. They’re definitely getting use out of him.

The problem with fractals being character based is that I might have a need to run a fractal and i’m on an alt. Well I have to start at level 1 because this character hasn’t done a fractal before. Except no one wants to run a level 1 fractal, the minimum level they want to run is 10.

Uhm, what? We have been fighting against them all the time in Lion’s Arch. I’m pretty sure we would have heard about a fight between the Shining Blade and the Aetherblades anywhere.

To clarify this point, she says:

She isn’t saying she’s dealt with them, just that she knows about them. This isn’t a stretch of the imagination considering she’s the leader of the Shining Blade (and is essentially the Krytan spymaster) and quite honestly should know about them since they were involved in an assassination of one of the Captain’s Council. Logan knew about that, it’s hard to believe Anise didn’t know even more.

And besides, it’s not a good assumption that we would have heard about a fight between the Aetherblades and the Shining Blade. The Shining Blade perform several covert operations and spying, after all.

Of course, the story could be taking an even different turn with her being replaced somehow. We’ll have to see.

I learned for dishonored that spy masters cant be trusted.

Honestly though I think it’s Lord Faren. He’s present for most of the events, he does have a role in the human noble PS but it’s nothing earth shattering that I think would exclude him from that (He helps you in like 3 fights), he lives in the city, and he’s a noble and knows how to persuade people with words; as he’s probably been taught how to do that since birth.

As for characters from the PS cant have any role in the LS, I think that’s the wrong way to go. I think that it should be understood that this is a timeline, and these events happen after the fall of Zhaitan, even if the player isnt there yet; and after the aetherblade’s are defeated, this should all be released as a continuation of the PS and added to the story tab. Rewards or not, i’m one of those players that would still like to experience the story after it has passed if I may have missed it for some reason.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. The new champion dagger, Komalie’s Sacrificial Blade, is one of the nicest dagger skins I’ve seen in the game.

But it’s doesn’t have like flames coming out of it, or anything! How can a skin be cool without flames?

Infact we need more weapons with flashier effects. I want an explosion Michael Bay would be proud of every time I hit an enemy. The only way to go is up. Why stop there, just make the dagger skin the same as the greatsaw, imagine how cool it’d be to dual wield those?

Doesn’t have to be super flashy, but SOME form of animation so it can be paired with lets say Incinerator and not look stupid. Even if it was just a slight gold/red glow to it I would have been happy. And it would have made sense too. Dagger of Komalie would have absorbed energy from the sacrifices -> ends up with a slight glow or trail to it. Not very difficult. The dagger itself looks very nice. All it needs (IMO) is a slight glow and trail affect added to it like the Fractal weapons.

Survivability is very important, so if one person does happen to go down, the entire party doesn’t have to wipe. I’ve fought a boss with only two people while the rest of the party just waiting for us to finish the boss because they died and we couldn’t stop to res them. There were times that run that if I was just full zerk gear with no defense I would’ve easily died.

Yeah I just go through heart of the mists. No queue times for WvW.

I still have my cogs, I didnt see my frames in there but I wasn’t specifically looking for them.

Though the chest is the type of chest you find at the top of the JP, so it would be likely that they’ll recharge at the same rate.

Maybe Anise decided that Logan needs to face his past and finally get passed that. It did show that though that while Logan insists that he didn’t do anything wrong whenever he talks to Rytlock, he doesn’t even believe that by how he acted.

Also Jennah is the worst mesmer. She uses a greatsword at close range. You only see level 3 mesmers do that because they don’t know any better. Best mesmer my… rear end.

I actually liked the bit where you follow Rox to each of the spots and protect her so she can snipe the sylvari. It wasn’t difficult but it was more engaging than “kill the mobs until the game says its ok to stop”.

Oh, so there were supposed to be enemies attacking at that point. In my instance they were all dead and no more spawned, so it was just “run and stand in that circle”.

The thaumanova reactor is a lore based decision too. It’s just not the lore YOU wanted. I voted for the lore I wanted. It’d be great if the fall of abaddon got introduced too, more lore all around. But just because we voted for a different fractal, don’t say we dont give two kittens about lore.

Irrelevant. Those people saying ‘Evon won and that’s that’ would be in the wrong in this scenario.

If Evon had won by such a small margin, it would have been equally acceptable to say ANet should make Thaumanova as well. The issue here isn’t which candidate won. The issue is that the player base is split right down the middle and catering to one half but not the other is an awful decision.

When will folks realize that the vote percentage has nothing to do with the player base? What if Kiel supporters voted on average of 20 each? What if Evon supporters voted on average of 1000 each? Or vice averse. There’s no way for us to know how many players voted for each candidate, and how many votes they cast. It’s all just speculation.

Because I don’t believe that the Kiel side is a smaller percentage of the playerbase that had more money to buy tokens and vote more.

People here at the studio where as passionate about this as you folks, so we had both Kiel and Gnashblade supporters. I for example play a charr, so I was obviously on #TeamGnashblade.

Actually coming into this I came back from a long break of a few months, starting at around flame and frost. So I had no idea who either of them were.

The point is you ignored the benefits which both were offering. Evon was offering discounts on the Black Lion Chest Market which means all prices are reduce. You know people buy from there with cash or gold. Instead we get cheaper way points and I haven’t seen a way point over a gold yet in this game. They should though then maybe cheaper way points would be worth it. This isn’t WoW flightpath prices which are over a gold.

I like that now that evon didnt won, his offer has suddenly changed from a discount on black lion keys to the entire BLTC. It’s only keys that would’ve got the discount.

GW2 is a new game. It needs to move forward with its story, not retell what we know. That’s what the vote was for to me. Maybe the new story won’t be as good as the old, but you have to try and move forward.

There are little nods to GW1 if you look around. You can find the graves of GW1 characters and the plains of ashford is obviously the starting area from GW1.

It’s much easier to say GG if you win than if you lose. Just a bunch of sore losers.

As like the few Kiel supporters on the forums, we need to rally up and stand together.

The reactor has a button to specifically port in a steam ogre, which is a creature from the future in another reality. So it has some connection to time.
