Well if we’re discussing one thing being lore breaking why dont we go all the way.
Why is Orr not healed or atleast starting the process the of being settled for the players that have finished their PS? Why do risen keep respawning in Orr even after Zhaitan is defeated? Why are most of the greatsword skins so large that you’d break your hand if you tried to swing it, if you could even manage to lift the giant thing off the ground first. Why do the same dynamic events keep popping up after you’re done them once? Why do you get to respawn when you die? Why are some NPCs able to be revived while others arn’t? What exactly are the “places of power” that you commune with for a skill point and why are they there? Why do you even need to spend skill points to learn abilities? Why can’t you defeat a level 80 risen when you’re level 2 but when you’re level 80 a level 2 wolf can defeat you? Why the level system at all; that you need to level to 80 to pose a threat to the risen. Why do people give you things for free (karma)? How do people in Orr know about you helping farmer Joe back in Queensdale? How do people know when to stop giving you things for free if you fall below a certain number? Why can mesmers only summon 3 clones/phantasms at a time? Why cant rangers use more than one pet at a time? Why cant any class use any weapon? Why cant Sylvari grow their armor as opposed to wearing crafted items? Why dont Norn wear their own types of armor over the same style as human made armor? With the number of humans in the game, why dont they expand their territory? Why do all races run the same speed, shouldn’t norn be the fastest, followed by charr, human, sylvari, and finally asura as the slowest. Why don’t the other dragons move more of their forces forward (we know Jormag atleast actively attacks the Norn)? Why can NPCs not fight at all, how did the world survive without us being here?
And from all of this that has been in the game since launch, you complain about a single update ruining the games lore with it coming out.

No I think changing it to 20+ is a very bad idea, it works perfectly as is now and should remain so. However, I understand some people don’t have alts left to level and just want something to do with these so imo there should be a mystic toilet recipe to help dispose of them, maybe convert them to a few skill points. That way, everyone is happy. Discuss.
It’s been said in this thread that it takes a set amount of experience to reach level 20. So just have the scrolls be changed to get out that flat experience, so as you level up it’s less effective, but it can still be used, and even level 80s can use it on their way to another skillpoint.

For those of you that havent got your gifts yet, it is indeed the scroll to get an alt up to 20, and only used by a character under 20.
Guild armor is a PvP only set except for the chest which is available though the guild armor vendor, for humans it is identical to the devout but I guess not on an asura.
On the top bar there is a tab called PvP. Click on that and you’ll have a button called go to the heart of the mists. Click on it and you’ll go there, once you load in you will see a portal, enter that. That will take you to LA. Go north across the bridge from where you spawn in, take a left on that platform until you reach another bridge, take that bridge and then take the first portal on your right. That will get you to the human city divinity’s reach. Just go to the south of the map to find the transition into queensdale, the human starting zone.
Once you get the crystals you go back to vorpp in divinity’s reach anyway. You don’t summon him.
Liadri herself is fine.
The problems are the AOE fields on the floor, i’m not colorblind and I still have trouble seeing them sometimes. The camera in that bubble dome, you fight the camera. And finally the cosmic rifts, through the first part of the fight they spawn on a timer and are predictable in that way, though in the second part of the fight the cosmic rifts seem to spawn randomly and with the constant movement, the bigger AOE field, and having to fight the camera in the dome it makes it cheap.
Difficulty that takes skill to bypass i’m fine with. I am not fine with artificial difficulty of the rifts pulling you into your death when you might have been doing good because you couldn’t see it spawn due to the camera. I’d even be fine with the rifts if the camera was fixed and they wern’t immune to projectiles anymore. If a rift spawns inside an AOE and then pulls you into the AOE when theres nothing you can do about it, that’s bad. As a mesmer if a rift spawns all the way across the field, I can not reach it even if I start running after it the second I see it spawn.
In the Liadri fight, Liadri herself has never actually downed me, it’s always been the AOE and/or the clones. I’m pretty sure about 80% of my deaths have been due to the rifts.
Am I the only person that thought this story didn’t really tell us anything we didn’t already know? It was already stated ingame that scarlet studied with asura, norn, charr, and hylek.
She came out of the process saying that her name was now Scarlet, but why? What reason is there to start going by a different name? What reason did she have to kill her asura teacher and friend?
Anet answered questions no one was asking, just something said in passing. If we actually had some insight to what sort of knowledge scarlet gained from each of encounters it might actually tell us something. How she took all this seemly unrelated knowledge and assembled it all into one effective practice. Especially Hylek; You hear that and you have no idea what they could possibly teach that would be worthwhile, and apparently anet doesn’t either.
I dont even go to the fansites. I log in and play the content blind. Restraint is great, you should try it.
You plan to disable our atuo attack? There is nothing that can be challenging in the face of 70 players dealing damage to it at the same time.
Most of the people are there for the achievements, once those achievements are done, the events will start to get a little more interesting.
The real thing that makes the zerging worse is the waypoints and speed boosts. When you can be at any location on the map in a few seconds with an entire zerg behind you there’s not much challenge.
I’d like that, if legendaries got legendary stats of whatever stats you transmuted onto them. As long as they’re locked to level 80. Don’t want low levels running around with legendaries for their level.
Do Vorpp’s achievements and then do the playhouse. After that the pavilion is open to you again.

Well before you would just swing in the air to get rid of blind, making it useless in battle. Maybe to the person getting blinded it’s a bad change, but before to the person inflicting the blind it was unfair that you could get rid of it so easily.
Anet can just change all the mobs to vets and keep their stats the same. We’ve seen that not all vets are created equal. Save champions for bosses in certain events and legendaries if they need a step above that.
Even in the current invasions, silver rank twisted horrors are scary, while champion twisted horrors are quite a lot easier. The silver rank twisted horrors have more hp, attack more often, and hit harder, in addition to spawning about 3 at once. While champion twisted horrors spawn one at once and are much easier.
While we’re on this, why dont legendary mobs give anything special?
I want a button to turn down particle effects already. It’s what cause the most lag in large zergs, not all the player models.
It does work, but it doesn’t seem to stack at all with the signet of air’s passive 25% speed boost or the lightning trait to move 25% faster while attuned to lightning.
The reason I assume we can’t weapon swap is because our attunements are technically our weapons.

A scepter on fire is the same as a scepter on earth or water.
While a main hand sword mesmer is not the same as a greatsword for a mesmer.
A staff ele needs that range, but if an ele goes into battle with a staff, they’re locked to stay at that range.
The mesmer with the greatsword can change to the sword when enemies get closer.

Anyway my problem with ele is that it does everything worse than the other classes. Yes as with all classes in the game, ele is not unplayably broken, you can do it; but if I want to keep up with DPS of other classes I need to run full berserkers (even if they’re not), the only conditions ele can reliably inflict are burning and bleeding making a condition build kind of useless, ele utility only supports themselves, and eles can not weapon swap which other classes use to switch from long range to close range and not just to change their damage skills at the same range.
Logan has been that way through the entire game. He’s actually got passed that in the PS (somewhat) but Anet thinks that the LS can’t be tied to the PS at all, because some people might not have finished the PS yet. Logan still has to be within shouting distance of the queen at all times, Rytlock still has to hate Logan, Caithe still has to be emo, etc.
It’s kind of discouraging. Anet basically wrote a book, published it, and then keeps amending the beginning of it. While what you really want to know is what happened to the characters after the end, after you watched all of them go through their Journey to come together again.

The end fight with Scarlet wasn’t too easy and it wasn’t too hard. It was perfect!!

No. Liadri is/was perfect. Just because you can’t do something, doesn’t mean Anet should be making easy mode for all content. Please let us have our challenging content, and you can have Scarlet. Then everyone is happy!
No Liadri wasn’t perfect. Liadri herself as a boss fight was fine. What wasn’t fine was the camera and the cosmic rifts pulling you into death. It was impossible to keep an eye on the entire arena due to the camera to see if a rift spawned.
You got lucky with the RNG. I am not a fan of artificial difficulty. Liadri herself has never actually downed me. It was always either a clone (That both downs me and turns into a crystal), or the wells after i’ve been pulled into the AOE from a rift and then couldn’t get up in time to react.
Anyway yeah the playhouse was fun. I love Scarlet as a villain and look forward to seeing more of her.
Yeah we had this question come up in LA map chat. The people who had them in their inventories it stayed, but if it was in the bank or collections it disappeared.
Sounds like a good idea. Give us a sense that the NPCs actually have a purpose, and actually do stuff. Although I doubt Logan would go more than 5 feet within the queen.
Talking about Health, my level 40odd Necro with no traits or anything has nearly 20,000 health (upscaled to 80, wvw) my level 80 Ele with no traits has just over 11,500…
Necro has the highest health in the game, it’s not really a fair comparison.
I’m so sorry you can’t 3v1 people anymore, maybe you should realize youre class is now what they call “Balanced”.
Ele is a very high skill celling class, pro’s do extremely well, and new players get destroyed.
Your friend probably didn’t have any idea of how Op Eles were at WvW.
Yet other classes can still can.
We have the lowest armor, we have the lowest hp, we have the lowest DPS, so what do we have? Does anet really want us to spec for healing and be entirely support? I thought that was the reason the healing classes didnt come over from GW1 in the first place.
According to my stats, my ele should be much more powerful than my mesmer, talking a 1000 difference in power. Yet my mesmer still has more survivability and manages to deal more dps than I could ever dream of on my ele. Why? Because ele really has no skills to take advantage of this stat.
Eles really have two builds; support/healing staff and burst damage scepter. Anything else is a joke. Yes eles need to constantly dodge to stay alive, but you know what other class has to to do anything useful? The thief, and they’re still more powerful than us, and they have stealth to easily get away from combat if it’s going poorly.
Uh wasn’t Scarlet human last patch? i’m sure she was human and now shes a sylvari?
I dont know many humans that have green skin. But she wasnt giant. Why does scarlet have to be giant, why cant she be normal sylvari size?

1.. Scale Scarlet’s hp based on the players in the map, not just the event area.
2. Increase the amount of time for the event to an hour to make up for this HP increase.
3. start the next event on the hour like normal; even if the event is completed or not.

This happened in queensdale before the update. You just have to ignore them. Yeah it’s not the best suggestion but there’s really nothing else you can do except report and ignore.

Also when a person becomes risen, their ghost separates from their body. So even if you could somehow heal tybalt’s body, he’s still gone.
I’m not sure if they come right out and say multiverse in GW2, but in 1, I’m fairly certain it was explicitly stated that the Hall of Heroes was where heroes from across a multitude of realities (or something similar) joined to do battle. In other words, the Korean servers were in-lore alternate universes from the the NA servers and so on.
Multiple worlds. But that doesn’t say much.
Though the lore on Lord Odran does mention it being a multiverse.
But it’s never really said that we really saw named individuals from these “other worlds” or if these other worlds even held humans.

They stopped the one time events because a lot of players missed it if they had something conflicting.

I doubt anets QA team had 75 people in the pavilion at the same time. That happened to me my first attempt at deadeye. So after that my opening move was to stun him the second I targeted him.
Norn are fun to drink with, but if you want a true warrior, go for charr. Even their racial skills are more suited for warrior combat. As for the tail clipping issues, yeah it exists. But it’s not horrendous like some people make it out to be. Charr look far scarier in heavy than a norn. Norns just look bloated and clumsy in heavy armor.
They also look ridiculous in light armor.
Yep and you shouldn’t lose your target against stealthed enemies. Thieves (and certain PvE mobs) laugh at elementalists.
Mesmers should be immune to death, when you’re about to die you just switch places with an illusion.

They could always bring back Risen Tybalt, since we found a way to restore their free will in Arah p3.
It would actually be quite cool to have a zombie sidekick, and could be a vital plot device for crossing the Desolation in the eventual Elona expansion.
And you leave out the people that were in the priory. Sylvari cant become risen, so Sieran is just gone. We get no zombie sidekick.
Sieran could’ve been captured as an informant or something. Since she was also “under Zhaitan’s wing”, it could imply she was hidden somewhere as their prisoner.
Forgal probably can’t be resurrected, but he could be visitted inside the mists. Perhaps an epic quest to find him inside the Hall of Heroes could be one story arc. Just because he’s dead doesn’t mean he is gone permanently. He could fulfill a role similar to Obi-wan.
I could definitely see them bringing them back if they’re creative.
We’ve seen before than when Zhaitan makes a risen out of someone that he doesn’t capture their spirit. There are ghosts in maps that will tell you that if you talk to them. I believe they say something to the effect that they cant pass on because their body is risen.
So really that zombie companion thing couldn’t work anyway, tybalt is gone unless his ghost is out there somewhere.
It still alienates the priory players if that happens though. You find the ghosts of your old mentor in a future story mission, then you go do the story mission with your priory buddy and he’s just alone while you get to see your old friend again.
Lets do a comparison.
What you lose if you rez at WP:
- 30 seconds to run back
- 1 silver 11 copper for WP
What I lose if I rez you and you queue up while I’m picking gambits:
- 2-3 minutes of waiting
- ~50 silver I could have made in that time
Who is more selfish?
If you want to do a hard boss party up with other people doing bosses and rez each other. You’re just hurting yourself with your selfishness by trying to take over a farmer dome anyway. When I was trying to kill Liadri what I did was find another person doing Liadri and we just took turns attempting the boss and rezzing each other. This deters farmers because any farmer that tried to take our dome would come out of it looking at a queue of 5+ minutes with both of us doing a Liadri attempt before them so they would go away. This also sped things up greatly for both of us. Another benefit of this was that we were exchanging strategies for the fight helping each other even more.
Moral of the story: be smart not selfish.
Oh get over yourself, they’re all farmer domes. Every dome I go to someone is farming deadeye. If I didnt try and take over a farming dome I couldn’t do the gauntlet at all.

I am not a necro so I can’t give specific necro build advice, but I see some common mistakes people make on him.
Never stop moving, he lays fire AOEs down at your feet while shooting fire things at you. If you stop moving the fields just stack damage and result in a quick death. Obviously dont move outside the ring of fire while it’s up, and then it’s just a matter of range.
or just have the scroll assigna fixed amount of ~116k experience – which is what’s needed to level from 1-20
