Same I like Kralkatorrik. The ending event from BWE2 piqued my interest in the dragon and when Kralkatorrik comes up I assume it’ll be great. Also I assume that event means they have something planned for the dragon already and are taking awhile to work on it. Hopefully that means quality.
Heard thats just a bug with outfits. I have actual armor skins and my clones look like me. Just tested too.
They’re probably like the centaurs, any of the friendly ones are outcasts, and they’re probably still at the bottom of the sea fighting bubbles with the largos.
IIRC, they mention something happened at the Temple of Ages, and that is why the portals exist and it’s such a nasty place in the swamp ATM.
However, I’m fairly sure Grenth is within the underworld, if not somewhere nearby. It is HIS realm you know, just like the Fissure of Woe. However, I do believe those portals may be a one-way thing, and currently adventurers or priests cannot travel into them.
If not one way, perhaps the reapers of grenth/avatars of balthazar simply block anybody living from coming into the realms.
If that were true then we wouldn’t be able to enter the mad king’s realm come mad king’s day as it is a part of the underworld and while the mad king is powerful by himself, he’s not powerful enough to overpower Grenth like that.

You know I didn’t like the idea of the megaservers at first but after playing one it’s not bad. It’s nice to see others a lot more often than I used to.
I noticed that on JQ, I got paired with the servers we were matched with in WvW, so I think that’s one of the things taken into consideration.
Doesnt empowering mantras make more sense in the domination trait line though? Granted harminous mantras dont make much sense being in dueling.
One or two Sylvari NPCS mention “Home grown armor is the best”.
The only one we know of ‘being forged’ is the Green Knights armor as I recall, but yes the cultral armor/plant clothing is attached to them, grown from their body.
Also when you start a sylvari the npc at the beginning says “Take this armor, it’ll hold you over until you can grow your own.”
From what i’ve gathered on the forums, every class is useless and underpowered but they’re all overpowered and godly at the same time.
Some people like to complain instead of think they might be playing the wrong class. They could also be like me and play multiple classes except I don’t post on all class subforums.
Some things anet didn’t think of. I think if I log into a character with level 500 crafting, I should get all those skins that would come from crafting as well.
Also things like the toxic spore skin, that I wasn’t lucky enough to get, not that I didn’t try.
Am I the only one that didn’t change my build? I didn’t go for the power meta so I didn’t need to change.

Removing levels would actually be ok if they fixed the scaling system so everything is a challenge at level 80.

I haven’t bought any wvw weapons yet, but I have had some account bound exotics drop that could be used for nothing else, so I collect them and throw them into the MF when I get 4. But you say these can’t be forged, which sounds familiar
What exotics are you salvaging that you get 37 ectos from 2? I need to come to whatever spot you’re farming.
We already gave our feedback when the blogs hit. And anet told us they wouldn’t change this. The world boss times are the only thing they said arn’t set in stone. So for all the other things, I can complain all I want.
Why would I quit? I didn’t get nerfed, actually moving the mantra trait into dueling helps me.
Something i’ve learned while reading these forums, everyone thinks their class is weak. someone on every forum says so, except for maybe warrior. Mesmer still has a good number of viable builds and still are probably the least changed class since beta, sitting almost at the point they were at launch. So if anything anet has said we’re the most balanced. You just have to find the viable builds.
You cant buy the town clothing that turned into tonics. Everything you can buy currently will be an armor skin.

Well obviously if DPS builds get nerfed, condition builds should also get nerfed so nothing changes at all.

Also the human Hounds of Balthazar is the best racial in the game. Even as a mesmer with the best elite in the game, I still consider it as a viable option and will switch in some situations.
You want background on norn culture?
They’re a race of hunters that focus on passing on their life through their legacy. So a norn is all about doing great and impressive feats, the harder the feat, the better succeeding is.
They pray to and protect the spirits of the wild, spirits that represent the different animals that exist through the world. The main spirits for norn are wolf, raven, snow lepord, bear, and owl. Owl is dead but died fighting Jormag while the other 4 led the norn out of the far shiverpeaks and away from Jormag’s reach, to where they reside now. The spirits are very real, as they have been observed.
You can get PTV (soldier’s) using karma from temples as well. 42,000 karma per piece. If it’s your first character your resources will be limited so I think the best thing to do would be to get some pieces using karma, some pieces using AC/HOTW tokens and badges of honour from wvw. 2 pieces from each source will even balance things out. Karma pieces cost 42,000 for each piece (unless it’s been changed) so get the pieces that will cost more using dungeon tokens (i.e. chest/legs).
Which temples are P/T/V? I must have missed them when I was going for mine.

So I just went ingame and actually tested this, and it’s not true. All illusions and phantasms actually attack.

Why would that be a profession? You don’t choose to be a vampire.
Anet wants to take money out of the economy. So they increase the costs of things and reduce the ways to make money. So the players who already farmed this stuff already benefited, and they’re just hurting the players that didn’t farm this.
What gear you want to get all depends on your build, you want gear to support your build so we’d need to know your build to recommend anything.
As for how your gear is, ascended gear exists now but exotic is still fine for high level content.

If you have money and badges of honor to spare, invaders armor is also P/T/V as well as Vigil.
This and the dungeons mentioned above are the only ways to get them unless you happen to have an exotic crafting recipe with old magic find stats but i’m going to guess you don’t as you arn’t even 80 yet.

There are genetic reasons why breeding with close relatives is undesirable. Humans have probably evolved to not breed with genetic relatives for that reason.
For Sylvari, breeding isn’t an option.
For the most part a human’s brain will turn them off to their siblings. Now there have been cases throughout history where this hasn’t happened so obviously I can’t say that’s always the case; but a sylvari’s brain wouldn’t naturally do this because they can’t reproduce in the first place.
I was looking at armor the other day and was looking at shiro’s boots. They have the same skin as the sneakthief boots. The entire armor set might be the same.

Mouse on the left and normal WASD with my right hand. Done it so much it’s pretty simple to do now. Anything I dont need to to press often, like my change to town clothes key, is bound on the right side of my keys.
Like others have said technically all sylvari are siblings.
As for the incest thing, it obviously doesn’t matter to sylvari as a lot of them love each other. The reason for it is stagnation of the gene pool anyway and as sylvari don’t reproduce that’s a non-issue for them.
Races and professions are really personal choice.
Race doesn’t do much except for aesthetics. Theres no big racial bonuses to a certain stat or something like some MMOs. All the armors in the game are made for the human model and then scaled to fit the other races, so thats something to keep in mind.
Professions are a little harder. They all can be fun, but some I find more fun than others. Knowing how to play your class goes a long way in this game and that will make you have the best experience. So play around with the classes and find which one you like best.
- Avoid the human stories, they’re boring. And I think the sylvari are too. Others are pretty good. Professions have no story bearing. Pick what suits you best.
All races have good story parts. The human adopted storyline is probably to best chapter in the game. The sylvari has the white stag. Asura has infinity ball, Norn has a few but I honestly forget what I chose for my PS.
Just because you haven’t played the good stories for some races doesn’t mean you should just write them off. I havent played most of the charr stories (mainly because I can’t stand them) but i’m not saying don’t play a charr because they’re terrible.

You use the same armor in WvW as you do in PvE now so I dont see why it would change.
Part of RPing is crafting a backstory for your character Carlos. Everybody has a story. While maybe not RPing ingame, it’s going a little farther than “I have a character and I play it”.

Norn dont need to drink but their culture is all about showing off, boasting your achievements and whatnot, so you would see a lot of those types of things, and it’d just be sort of odd for a norn to not partake in.

I’ve thought for awhile that champions loot should scale up the less people there are. So if you solo a champion, you get better stuff than if 10 people are there.
Renown hearts shouldn’t reward anything more as the reward is map completion and the gift of exploration.
All jumping puzzles and mini dungeons have a chest at the end though i’ve never seen more than greens in them. A unique skin would be nice but people will complain. People complained about having to do a jumping puzzle for BOT4W, and that had like 3 required jumps. People only want to zerg and press 1 to get loot, to hell with anything anyone else likes.
Event chains the reward is the experience and possibly loot depending on which event chain it is.
Really in my opinion anet needs more jumping puzzles and more mini dungeons, we dont really need to populate them that much, the players that like them can appreciate they’re there. I’ve seen what drawing attention to the portions of the game I like does to them, i’d rather them have no reward and I can enjoy them for what they are and have fun with them. (*cough*lunaticinquisitionnexthalloween*cough*)
I feel like i’m a lot more powerful as I level up. When I was level 1 there was no way I could or would even consider taking on a champion by myself. At level 80 though is a serious thought as I have the ability.

The thing is i’ve never died to a stealth thief or mesmer. Sure they’re annoying but they either die or run away. It doesn’t seem like that much of a problem to me.
How do we fight the claw of Jormag or the Shatterer? We hit their feet and they die. When all else fails go for the toes.
Theres an activity rotation that rotates southsun survival (hunger games esque). Crab toss (a game of keep away), and Sanctum Sprint (mario kart esque game). There have been other minigames through the LS but those haven’t stayed.
