account bound is hopefully removing soulbound items and making them all account bound. Since you could already kind of make everything account bound anyway, including soul bound items, they’ll remove the silly soulbound items.

A PvE skin locker and all weapons for all classes has already been confirmed before I believe so i’m sure those are in here.

First of all, I sort of doubt it, as I find a few easy to find bugs with new gameplay additions that would be mesmer exclusive.

Second of all, the mesmer is far from underpowered. You must be doing it wrong.

Why would they care? Theres sort of a couple of dragons trying to wipe out all life on Tyria.

Even if there wernt, I still don’t see a reason why other races or the queen would care. Anet already put their stance on (a stupidly) controversial issue in the game, and now you want anet to say “IT’S OK THOUGH BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT IS AGAINST IT JUST LIKE IN REAL LIFE.”

It’s ok to disagree with people, you can disagree with anet, and still be ok with playing the game. The kiss can just be a kiss. Kasmeer and Marjory are there, and that’s it.

Kasmeer is fine but I feel like Marjory still needs a little work. I feel like I don’t know Marjory at all but I don’t hate her yet, she just needs more development.

That attack she did to knock you back? The was very clearly magic and not a gadget. Plus again she has a personal army that are very loyal to her.

There might have been a reason to keep her alive, but theres more of a reason not to. There are only 6 elder dragons in the world that we know of, and we know 4 of the 6 to be awake, and 1 dead. What are the odds of Scarlet knowing the location of and waking up the last one?

The longer we let her live, the longer she has to escape, and after months of dealing with Scarlet, after all she’s done, knowing that Scarlet still has an army down in the city against 5 people, you still let her live when she’s cornered? That was still the best decision in the character’s shoes.

Also keep in mind, we know Scarlet was doing something with the leylines, but we don’t know what. For all we know her plan was in the early stages, but i’m sure the original plan was Rox or Marjory would have shut down the drill and Scarlet was sort of in the way blocking you from stopping it.

You’d still be complaining if Braham said “Ok Scarlet what was your plan?” and then she explained it for 10 minutes giving enough time for the dragon to wake up. Asking how could the heroes fall for that obvious stall for time.

I play with instant cast on my mouse cursor, it’s pretty fast. Just move my mouse to the mob, cast the skill, and move on with my life.

example: when you confront Scarlet, you might decide not to kill her, and fight against your allies for it. You win, and Scarlet ends up in prison. One day later, she is found dead.

There, Scarlet is still gone, nothing actually changed, but you decided to stand up for what you felt was right and those B-iconics might see you now with resentment mixed with fear, for you faced them and made them eat dirt.

Here, now players are not the main heroes, but likeable secondary characters.

They won’t have the spotlight, but they’ll come out and kick your kitten if they want to.

If such a thing could be implemented for future LS releases, I’d be very happy.

You cant let everybody live. Scarlet has shown she’s willing and able to attack and severely cripple major cities, kill thousands, and then laugh while she’s doing it.

This isn’t modern times, we cant just lock her up in a padded room. She’s shown she can easily get people out of jail and even killed someone on the captain’s council, the governing body of lion’s arch.

If you have the option WHY do you let someone like this live? Even if you roleplay a character as being passive or non-combative, there’s a line at some point and Scarlet has crossed it. If you are RPing a character that passive that you don’t want to kill someone who has done that, what does your character do at the battle for LA anyway? Why arnt you upset at anet not including any non-combat updates?

Has nobody played the human adopted storyline? You deal with the remnants of the white mantle during it. Also possibly one of the best parts of the PS.

Way to take my words out of context. Am I the only homosexual who’s trying to see the other side of the fence and look at the whole event in an unbiased and calm manner to see if there -are- any problems at all? I voiced my opinion. Hate it if you want, or stop halfway through reading to get angry and post a snarky reply. In case you’re that angry that someone could voice a dissenting opinion though and don’t feel like going back to read, I’ll repost why I feel that way below.

A video game is not a great medium for a Story. Players want to -play- a game, not watch a movie, or read a book. Because of this, content such as cut scenes and forced dialogue has to be kept short, so as not to interrupt the flow of gameplay. You can’t really get into the meat of a story because of this. A novel, a short story, etc… provides a much better medium. I would rather have read one about Marjory and Kasmeer than just had a simple scene that, contextually speaking, didn’t need to happen.

Yes, I said it didn’t need to happen. If you take that scene away, it changes -nothing- about the instance dungeon and the story. It has no impact on it. Marjory and Rox are both still injured, Scarlet is still dead, the Elder Dragon still gets woken up, and the drill still explodes.

That kiss would have been -much- more appropriate in another cut scene after the fact, showing our heroes celebrating in a tavern somewhere, or at the refugee camps.

A video game is the best medium for a story. I don’t want to play my games, I want to experience them. A game isnt a great game unless you can experience it, and sort of feel the moment.

The kiss helped to get the feeling of how glad Kasmeer was that Marjory was alive after thinking Scarlet just killed her. Maybe it didn’t need to be a kiss, a hug would have got the point across, or even tone of voice, but the scene isnt ruined because two women kissed.

Depends on the specific fantasy world but in Tolkien at least it’s explained that they are both Children of Iluvatar, and therefore they can breed. It’s explained that neither Elves nor Men can breed with Dwarves though.

I’d assume it’s because men and elves share enough common DNA to have fertile offspring.

But Jeff Grubb has said Norn and Humans are biologically incompatible (despite one trying to marry your GW1 character and other Norns talking about being part Elonian in GW1 as well), so I don’t think Norn and Charr would be biologically compatible either.

Anet has said that none of the 5 playable races can cross breed with each other.

My point still stands, in this game she sounds like a girl trying to sound like a man. Just because she doesn’t sound like she’s pretending to be a man in something else doesn’t change how she voices the character here.

As a character Scarlet herself wasn’t bad, but just everything she did was ridiculous. The alliance between the krait and nightmare court was the line for me, I still don’t see how that alliance works.

One of the npcs in the human PS wears it.

When elder dragons were compared to a force of nature, that was to give you something to compare the size and power of their attacks to. Calling them mindless beasts is much of an understatement. An elder dragon is very intelligent and very powerful.

I personally haven’t gotten past the hologram, what server are you on?! I would love to get the remainder of my achievements for this living story.

If you have the spinal blades you can use the portal at the diverse ledges to skip the hologram and go straight to the final instance.

So for me i’d say the best update was Bazaar of the four winds. Getting the different aspects, learning how they work, zipping and jumping around the entire map for a map wide scavenger hunt/jumping puzzle plus the different npcs and items that you could interact with spawning different events. It was the first feeling of discovering something new i’ve had since world completion about a month or two after launch. I went out of my way to find all the sky crystals without a guide because I loved it so much.

So now that season 1 of the living story is over and we have a little time before season 2; I thought now would be the prime time to tell arenanet what we liked and why we liked it, so for season 2 they get a better idea of what the players want from the game. The first official living story update was flame and frost so it starts from there. Sorry no Halloween or Christmas 2012.

The whole point of this anti condi and anti projectile mechanic is to teach people to adapt, because ANet want to improve the quality of the average player so that they can make more challenging content.

Complaining and refusing to pick up another set of gear, or refusing to drop your ranged weapon makes this impossible and implies you want them to just make 111111 zerg events rather than coordinated zerg events.

For the record, I’m not playing WvW since I haven’t picked up appropriate gear for it, so it would be nice if you could do your servers the courtesy to pick up the right gear before taking part in the event.

The problem with that is melee zerk gear is already the meta and generally accepted as the best choice. So instead of it saying to me that I should be able to do both of these things, it says to me that the rest of the community is right and this build you have made yourself is worthless and you should feel bad because you are not contributing.

Maybe if anet included the ability to change traits easily enough, there might be an argument that you can change, but as it stands right now it just sounds to me that anet is saying “You know these stats that you’ve invested your time and money into that have been out since launch? That’s kittening worthless.”

And condis and tanks are meta in WvW and PvP, yet you don’t see me saying berserker should be meta.

Why is it PvE can’t have it’s own meta but WvW and PvP can?

Well instead of having a best build, I want both builds to be viable. First of all you assume I just WvW and PvP. I rarely WvW and havent even touched PvP since beta. My build is very useful and has a lot of survivability in PvE and dungeons, I can even run PvE zergs with success because condition damage isnt all my damage.

Still I do sort of feel like anet is telling me to go kitten off with my conditions.

Well that was unexpected, only a matter of time before the haters get on, good job anet, good job indeed, kinda interested to see where this is going now, hopefully to an entirely new part of the game word.

Why do people have to blindly love this content? Why is it wrong for some people to recognize how bad the story is? Why can’t they point out why it’s bad in the hopes that it doesn’t happen again? I loved the story in GW1. GW2 (especially LS) has been a train wreck.
Have to agree with bokkieskitten. The “Kas & Jory story” was hardly even a story. It was a collection of flirting, shoehorned sexual innuendo, token “so much emotion” exposition & petnames.. There is nothing to actual relationship that merits praise. I don’t see why people are “blown away” by it.

Still a better love story than Twilight.

Kasmeer and Marjory was more like a real relationship. They got together, sometime before the tower of nightmares it seems, but we didn’t see it. It was a moment between those two characters, not us and them. Not everything revolves around you, you don’t have to be there for everything to happen in a game. That’s something I wish more games would do really. While you’re important, the world keeps on spinning without you.

They did that with the PS as well, the branching storylines that you didn’t pick? They still happened. The orb was still recovered from the krait. Zhaitan’s ships were still blown up by Tonn. Even as far back as the VOED was still invented even if you didnt invent it.

LA will be rebuilt. I’ve been using DR but my favorite town is actually hoelbrek. I love snow areas in games.

Well I dont instantly die, I can take like 6 hits of the laser. Maybe invest in some defense? But it is annoying for the no more tricks achievement.

Perhaps by waking him up early was a part of the plan to make him vulnerable enough to be killed?

The problem is that WE know the dragon has woke up, but there is no way our characters would know that until it attacks. So the dragon will have as much time as it wants to gain power. We still have Jormag beating down Hoelbrek’s door as well but he seems content to not advance. Jormag or Kralkatorrik would be the next logical step, but Jormag presents the next most immediate threat. On the other hand I feel like anet has something about Kralkatorrik up their sleeve still. But who knows what gave me that idea

Just find what you like to do in the game. I prefer exploration so I have so many alts because eventually even though I have seen zones, I forget what the zones are like and i’ll rediscover something I forgot about.

You gets are all forgetting before they launched the game they intended for dynamic events to create this sort of living world. Now they are trying the same with the living story because they didnt want to write themselves into the corner they felt they wrote themselves into with orr, that they couldn’t change it because other people had to go through the PS.

Regardless on if it works or not, they haven’t changed anything in what they’re trying to do with the game.

Marjory was attempting to stomp Scarlet and was right next to the magic… thing. I guess it was engineer downed #2.

You’re just now admiring how npcs have much better abilities than you? In AC a ghost’s life syphon can go until you’re dead and it’s much stronger. Lots of npcs don’t have the 3 illusion limit that player mesmers have. Maybe i’ll believe Jennah because she’s apparently the best mesmer to ever have existed in history, but you have me believe Kasmeer too? Even Treherne was able to use 3 elite skills at the same time.

After seeing the end of season 1, I think Scarlet got corrupted by Mordremoth while she was seeing whatever she saw in that machine. So she had her actual goal of wanting to give her people actual free will (which is what I think her goal was); and the strong voice of the dragon calling out to awaken it. The pale tree seems to be aware of whatever Scarlet saw and must have known it wasn’t in that much danger since it didnt do anything to stop Scarlet when it had the chance or afterwards.

Maybe it even wanted Mordremoth to awaken. All sylvari still have a connection to the dream, besides the nightmare court and the soundless. Using that small connection amplified by Mordremoth maybe the dragon can corrupt most of the sylvari that already exist. Suddenly you have an army of minions that are not only in almost every place on tyrria, but accepted and trusted. We have no idea that if the pale tree is a dragon minion, that it was ever free. Scarlet didn’t seem to think so.

So you want an ele with higher defense?

I’d rather have an ele that deals more damage. Deal with it.

So you don’t get all the credit for killing Zhaitan and so you complain.
You get all the credit for killing Scarlet the second time around, and you complain.

Anet must feel like they cant win sometimes.

There are some things I would have done different but for how disjointed the Scarlet story arc was at the start, it had an alright ending. Though if Scarlet was meant to be the player’s “personal nemesis” then I feel it would only have been fitting for the final fight to be a 1v1 between you and Scarlet. Among other things that should have a spoiler tag so I wont post them here.

I had 5 level 80 characters but I recently remade one because i’m crazy.

22 human guardian (Previously 80 guardian)

The biggest problem here is you dont get hit by YOUR condition. You get hit by everyones conditions. So I get punished for other people not paying attention to the boss mechanics.

As a condition user since day 1 I do feel the pain of conditions being useless, it cuts my dps in half. But the killer is i’ll get burned, 7 stacks of bleed, 5 stacks of confusion, poisoned, and 3 stacks of torment. I dont even have a way to inflict torment, burn, or poison on the weapons i’m using.

Every time I see a mesmer use GS #5 in PvE, I wish there was friendly fire in this game …

Most people are not running a BI/CI build or know when it is appropriate to use it…

If they knew when it’s appropriate to use it, they wouldn’t run such a build in PvE. They wouldn’t even run that weapon, since it does not offer any advantage to the alternatives.

As a main mesmer anytime I see anybody doing anything wrong for mesmer I cry a little inside.

Skill 5 is still there in PvE, I might as well use it though if the mob is close enough. Theres not a advantage not to.

Not everyone gets a Wyld Hunt. In fact it is the complete opposite. The vast majority of the Sylvari does NOT get a Wyld Hunt.

All sylvari get a purpose in the dream, not all are called a Wyld Hunt. A Wyld Hunt refers to some greater purpose but those who are cooks or blacksmiths still have a vision of those things within the dream.

Scarlet doesn’t want to follow her purpose, whatever that is.

You know for my norn i’m trying to wear armor that shows off a lot of skin, and for a warrior i’m having a hard time finding some.

Although for my mesmer it took forever to find a proper pair of pants, and out of all the armor sets, I had a choice of about 3.

I dont know if I was mining ori in orr and I got tin instead because of one of these random events, i’d be kinda mad.

Besides weaponsmithing and armorsmithing are the only professions that these would really apply to. Maybe Jeweler. What are we gonna have a monster made out of string for tailors? How would it even spawn? What about for leatherworkers?

Regardless of the idea, you’ve only thought about how it would benefit you and not the rest of players crafting different items. These events dropping the materials you can buy from merchants in town is kind of useless too. You’re paying like 5 silver at most, which isnt a lot at level 80. A few gold can be made quickly enough to cover the cost of this.

I think the op is saying he wants more movement unrestricting legs. Im inclined to agree. Most light female legs have huge dress bits or hanging parts. Id like some more trouser like legs or just skimpy legs without the huge flappy bits.

You just have to search them out. Granted light armor doesnt have much in the choice of pants but they do exist.

But what I think the op is saying is that he wants all skins, to be more revealing, including any pants we have already. Which i’d rather not have them. I dont want all my armors to be revealing.

For pistol that’s because it’s an offhand weapon. 4 and 5 skills are determined by your offhand while 1, 2, and 3 are determined by your main hand. Changing the off hand illusion to 3 would be very weird if you skills went main hand, main hand, off hand, main hand, off hand.

For the two handed weapons they seem to be arranged by base cooldown time. But are you saying you use all these weapons commonly enough that this is an issue?

I like just the amount of skin I show now, I don’t want it to change. If designs change then I have to redo my armor because of all the skin I suddenly show.

Just find some armor you like, mix and match them, and find a combo that shows what you want. I’ve already put time into dungeons and money into armor and you want me to change because you’re not happy?

I have two. Really three but my guardian hasnt been outfitted properly yet. The first one is my mesmer and the second is my necromancer.

Seriously though, we have enough relationships in the game as is. We have the queen and Logan, we have the 1 female sylvari in the personal story( cant remember their names), and im sure much more I am not aware of. This isnt Love Wars 2 or Relationship wars 2, its Guild wars 2, I dont want to follow a love story I want to fight a Dragon with kitten NPCs not lovie-dovie ones.

Logan and the queen isnt a real example of a relationship. It’s more of a dog and its master. The dog can feel genuine love for it’s master, and the master might care for the dog but the master doesnt actually love the dog in a romantic way.
