Pow/prec/tough is called Knights. Already in game.
Actually, Knights armor is Tough/Pwr/Prec. The distinction being that Toughness is the primary stat, not Power.
I too would look forward to Pwr/Prec/Tough gear.
ANd i’d like prec/pwr/tough but we can’t get everything we want.
It’s hard to find a good sword. That sword does come in blue though. if you don’t want a sword a sword that’s thicker than your head you have like 5 options though.
expansion =/= quality. Good things can be released with the living story. I’d rather them iron out the kinks with the LS system before they release anything big anyway.
Berserker is the current meta, with an emphasis on dodging to avoid damage instead of being able to take a hit.
Really we can’t answer stats until we know your build, you want gear to complement your build. Pretty much look at the stat combinations here and go for one.
The low level areas are fine as they are, the scaling system needs tweaks. Fix the problem, not the symptoms.
Really the higher level areas need to be more difficult. I still miss Orr at launch. And by miss I mean I hated it so much, but it was the end game area, I expected it to be difficult,
Kryta doesn’t have the same laws we have in real life though. We don’t have magic, we can’t read minds, or speak with the dead. Surely Kryta would have laws to incoperate taking advantage of these talents. Sure we have laws to say you can’t just barge into someones house to look for a bloody knife, but if you can just read someones mind you dont need to barge into their house. Even if you need evidence, surely that would be reason to atleast look.
Mesmer can do it all (not at the same time obviously but you have the option for all and can be decent at it.) You have null field (AOE condition removal), Feedback (reflect ranged), veil (invisibility), mass invisibility, chaos storm (staff 5 random buffs and combo field), winds of chaos (staff auto), and clones draw aggro and can break enemy AI for PvE. Not many mesmers like their clones drawing aggro but it can be a powerful tool if you know what you’re doing.
Elementalist has good support including being the only class that has a direct healing skill. Your conjured weapons can be picked up by others to up their DPS as well (You get one and it creates one on the ground). Water daggers cure conditions and heal, wind daggers have an interrupt for enemies, staff has ton of combo fields as well as earth auto inflicting weakness.
Guardian is the favored choice, the staff stacking might. I hear engineer is good support as well but I have never really payed attention that much.
I’ve said this before but I don’t think your wyld hunt was to defeat Zhaitan. I mean the dragon we see is obviously a nature themed dragon. You see clear visions of asura, golems, and skritt in the dream all looking normal; why would that one thing appear differently but symbolize Zhaitan?
Really we don’t know enough about the sylvari tutorial. The pale tree never mentions this, Caithe doesn’t mention this encounter to my knowledge. You’d think it’d be a big thing if the nightmare court was ever successful and did make the dream into nightmare, but no one ever mentions this.
Maybe the dragon wasn’t the only vision of the future you had, maybe the entire thing was the vision. You saw the fall of the pale tree, the dream turning into nightmare, and eventually you’ll kill a dragon. Dragons arn’t always Elder Dragons, this dragon could just be a champion. The dragon might not even be the wyld hunt, the dragon might just be a byproduct of the vision of the nightmare and your true wyld hunt is to save the pale tree from nightmare.
It being just Mordremoth is a possibility, but as I said; there are too many unknowns to rule solely in its favor.
We already know there are only 6 elder dragons. From NPCs in the game we can gather that Bubbles is already awake in the deep ocean and the rest we already know to be awake from direct observation of said dragon.
There isn’t anything else that dragon could be besides Mordremoth.
Anyway i’ve said before but I don’t think waking up Mordremoth was Scarlet’s goal at all. In What Scarlet Saw Scarlet said she didn’t want to follow the pale tree or the nightmare, she didn’t want to follow whatever she dreamt but at the same time she didn’t want to go the opposite and just become part of the nightmare, she wanted a middle option. Now if we believe the idea that sylvari are dragon minions or not, awakening Mordremoth doesn’t seem to get closer to that goal in any way. If sylvari are dragon minions, dragons don’t promote their minions being free; if sylvari arn’t dragon minions, how would Mordremoth help sylvari become free from the dream?
A downscaled level 80 is way stronger than an actual level 8 character.
I personally hate loot farmers in general, They ruin the game because you shouldn’t actually play the game it was intended to be played if they can get some type of reward from it.
You know you say the schedule is not set in stone, but I still get kittened by it either way. Working overnights, only playing early in the morning. I have no option here because i’m not the majority and can’t play anywhere near primetime, yet you know i’d still like to play the game.
You’ve obviously never been to the WvW forum. I hadn’t either until recently. A guy’s thread was moved there and I was watching it because when he got into jade quarry I was gonna invite him to my guild, entire thread just turned into a thread about matchups and server bashing.
And since you can’t farm world bosses or nodes anymore, you’ll be making WAY less gold. I hope everyone who liked free armor repairs is happy. The price of EVERYTHING is going to skyrocket.
Because anet totally gave us the choice. Yes we liked free armor repairs without the knowledge that waypoint costs were going to double or even triple and travel time would take longer.
I remember that Icebrood Wolf! It’s particularly unsettling considering that Watchful Moon talks about reincarnation. It’s as if the devs were hinting that her lost son got reincarnated as an Icebrood. O.o
You can’t be reincarnated as icebrood, Jormag doesn’t create life, he only corrupts it, same goes for all dragons. Even destroyers arn’t actually living creatures.
The new Dueling Grandmaster trait will be decent for zerging. The only requirement is you have to tag a lot of people with your awesome cleave atta- oh…………….
What do you guys mean? Obviously I should say kitten my sleep for work and be up at 5:00 to be able to catch the world events. Because it’s not like i’ve played since launch and still haven’t had a precursor drop, and this won’t hurt my chances more.
What I really don’t get is back with the ancient karka the first time, anet said they’d stop doing one time events because some people might not be able to attend due to other reasons and that it wasn’t fair. But this is the same type of thing, why’d they change their stance on this? We’re already limited by account bound once a day rewards at world bosses, now we’re limited by when we play as well? Not all of us can play whenever we like.
I personally prefer mesmer. Ele is rather weak in the current meta but for PvE you can make it work if you want. Don’t listen to the people that say necro isnt worth it, necro is a strong enough class. Mesmer over necro is just my personal preference.
That being said theres a big patch coming on the 15th that is introducing new traits so that elementalist might suddenly become really good or the necro might suddenly get a few buffs that make them even better.
So the waypoint system is a huge gold sink now? We cant teleport to waypoints until we’re on the map so we’ll have to teleport to the farthest waypoint, zone into the next map, go to the next farthest waypoint, and repeat?
Anet not all of us are filthy rich ingame you know. While I have played since launch I prefer to do other things I enjoy, those things jut happen to be not as profitable. Why am I getting punished because some people farm and have stacks of gold?

Actually, Rainbow Sprint.3215, my main is Vigil, so Forgal was the first one I encountered. I just used Tybalt because everyone loves him so much.
That’s funny because I did the same thing. Sieran is my favorite. Sieran was actually the last one I met, Forgal was the first.
Point still stands though. People hardly remember Forgal. He was a bland character even though he should have been as well remembered as tybalt by that logic.

So question, what about people that are in multiple guilds? How will that work? Will they be pulled into the map with the guild they’re representing, or will it be a cluster of every person in every guild you’re in?
Ok, let’s say you’re in front of 20 guys, and you have the choice between two weapons, a sniper riffle or a flamethrower. What’s your choice ?

Except this option is more do you want a blowpipe or a bow. Arrows are stronger but you can fire the darts faster. Though the chances of you killing anyone with one dart is very slim while the arrow has the power behind it.
