Everyone has a different definition of this this term, something also tells me that you’ve went through the story on a heavy armor class character, the light armor class is such a different take on the game where you do die so much more often in the story.

The problem is not so much with the difficulty but more with ANET’s design where they like to overwhelm you with numbers, be it health %, damage % or sheer numbers – this has existed in the original GW too.

What also adds to the problem is that in this game you never ever really feel powerful, unlike traditional mmorpgs you can over level, and in each new zone/stage you visit you tend to more powerful than your foes – with the scaling (which makes you significantly more weaker if you over level and don’t wear that current level gear), you fall over much more often and frequent that you’d expect… especially when the NPC’s call you “hero” and given you their highest rank in the 3 factions….

My main is a mesmer, but i’ve gone through the PS with my mesmer, ele, thief, guardian, necro, engi, and ranger. And never had any problems.

I usually try and find a dome with a good number of people. Because usually since the deadeye farmers dont revive, the people actually doing the bosses group together.

Though it’s just excesive that we had to use the WP and repair our armor, i’m fine with one of them, but both is just adding insult to injury. Taking the long walk of shame back up to the ring, repair your armor, to die and have to do it over again.

We know they are making more content, it just takes time. The SAB was super popular and it was basically a trial to test if there was a market for it, before they made all the content for it.

I have 7 characters.

Human mesmer(80), necro(30-ish), and guardian(80).

sylvari ele(80) and sylvari ranger(60-ish)

asura engi(60-ish) and asura thief(80).

I’m going for one of each class, eventually. I think when I finally get around to it i’ll make my warrior a norn, i’m not a big fan of charr.

Yeah fire ele is probably the easiest, it goes down the quickest with the huge mob of players. The other fights artificially extend how long they last by having periods of invincibility.

The most popular is the claw of jormag, being in a level 80 zone he drops the best stuff even if you dont get an exotic/precursor.

They could always bring back Risen Tybalt, since we found a way to restore their free will in Arah p3.

It would actually be quite cool to have a zombie sidekick, and could be a vital plot device for crossing the Desolation in the eventual Elona expansion.

And you leave out the people that were in the priory. Sylvari cant become risen, so Sieran is just gone. We get no zombie sidekick.

The personal story is easily soloable on any class. I’ve done it. It just might require a different approach than you’re used to.

Seeing that the multiverse is confirmed in guild wars, it’s not outside the possibility that more than one world ended up making steam creatures.

Maybe the aetherblades made this universes steam creatures.

Focus on stitches first, she’s the healer and will wreck any attempt you made.

After that I took out the first mate, she’s the damage dealer. Then the master gunner, and the captain last.

Each of them gives a buff to their allies and fully heals them on death except stitches.

The gunner gives all the enemies guns, the captain lets them dodge, the first mate gives them a poison, and stitches is supposed to give the other allies regeneration but it didn’t seem to ever pop for me.

I had a guildmate do the captain third and save the gunner for last, saying that worked for him, but the dodges screwed me over.

Your future self ends up talking about a great battle, the great battle of Divinity’s Reach. On top of that the NPC that was with your future self had the title of Vice Admiral so who knows my be part of the Aetherblades and we get to take place in this great battle in the next few updates.

The mysterious stranger (the asura PC) was the grand high sovereign. So the asura PC was the ruler of the world, and Shodd was the commander of his armies. It’s not necessarily aetherblades, but just of the navy. Considering Tyria had been conquered, and the ground forces are a mechanical army, there just probably isnt a need for an military force on the ground. So instead of promoting Shodd to a useless position. Shodd is actually in a position of power.

Although now thinking about it, wasnt the sylvari in the instance also called mysterious stranger?

From the asura infinity ball story we have confirmed the existence of alternate worlds. So it fits in easily to just say it’s an alternate world.

But I would like to play a hero with a dark side (mercenary, real thief, spy, or letting us choose which factions to help in a LS).

All these things are possible with ROLEPLAY. It’s quite magical. Give your character the personality YOU want them to have.

As much as i’d love Sieran to come back, no. It’s a bad idea. Atleast in the PS their death had meaning. If they suddenly show up, it kinda loses any beauty the moment had. The PS doesnt have a lot going for it, at least let it keep what it has.

I do agree they are all better than Trehearne’s arc, but I find all the dialogue so generic and all the character development so rushed and flat that I find it extremely difficult to care for any of these one-dimensional characters.

Not critiquing any of you, I’m curious because I want to understand; because I wish I could be moved by this game the way you are.

Were you in the vigil by chance? Forgal doesn’t really have that staying power.

Anyway maybe anet could give us something that could let us replay our story missions, maybe all the story missions we have unlocked on the account, so the claw island priory, whispers, and vigil equivalent.

We’re saying either remove the condition immunities, or make it consistent across the game.

Steam creatures come from an alternate reality’s future through portals. So it just means the aetherblades are somehow connected. Maybe they have discovered a way to summon them, maybe they come from the same future.

The steam creatures are basically golems created to be a personal army.

So only mesmers can get a race change? I’m ok with this.

I agree she shouldn’t be nerfed, this should be an achievement to do. But I would totally be for it against OP for being a hardcore gamer and referring to everyone else as casuals. It’s a game, you’re not entitled to anything either.

You mean People playing WvW only for fun?

WvW is about having fun and defending your server, not about epic rewards, most of the game was supposed to be like this.

Really because whenever I go to WvW it’s just a giant zergfest for the most rewards possible. No one actually plays the game.

I think eles should be able to go unarmed. Wield pure magical energy. Instead of having a specific thing the weapon can do, all the attunements do what they’re meant to do in their pure forms and nothing else. Fire is nukes, water is pure support and party buffs, air is crowd control, and earth is survivability.

The balance to this being the lack of being able to use the other attunements abilities at the same time. You cant deal damage while in water, air, or earth. You cant heal while in fire, air, or earth. Etc.

Lets not forget that no class specs for condition damage and only brings one condition. Since burning doesnt stack damage already, it’s sort of a useless condition anyway.

Anet should copy and paste the text blurb from when you beat the enderdragon in minecraft, just update it a little for GW2. Then a bunch of other games do the same thing, just to really mess with kid’s heads.

I display my favorite title but don’t actively go after any. I might go after LS titles just because they’re temporary. The rest I can get whenever.

The pale tree created sylvari to emulate humans. While their organs arnt exactly the same, they operate the same way. So I would think they last about as long as human ones do. So taking into account they would be immune to most human diseases they would probably live as long as we do now in real life when we die of old age. So 80-100 years depending on the sylvari.

I am pretty sure I was knocked down by Guardian’s Line of Warding while in Mistform (not Vaporform!), three days ago (not sure if there were any patches that might have fixed this). This happened only once and it was in WvW. I have never been stunned/knocked/feared in sPvP while using Mistform.

Also, the Mistform probably works fine most of the time, even in WvW (or for most CC skills), because otherwise I should be stunned WAY more often while “Mistforming” away from enemy zerg.

I think it’s more the stability aspect of it than the mist form itself. I was fighting the champion of the whirling blade earlier today, I put up armor of earth and he fired a knockdown skill at me. At that point I was immobilized until my stability wore off and then the attack hit me to knock me down.

The other paths of the PS still happen if you don’t choose them.

In orr when you walk into fort trinity for the first time, the npcs near the gate will be talking about the orb that stops Zhaitan’s corruption. The orb still exists and it will still be in fort trinity even if you don’t choose the story path that would’ve discovered it.

I assume a sylvari’s skin would feel different based on what the sylvari does. For the PC that is meant to defeat Zhaitan, it’s hard bark.

A crafter however is probably softer skin.

Sylvari can also have bleeding so they must bleed something. Probably water I assume.

Whatever way you look at it, a creature that can live in lava shouldn’t be able to be burnt. Same as a rock shouldn’t bleed, and an Ice Elemental shouldn’t be Chilled.

These sorts of things make players think of different approaches to how they fight enemies.

Except earth elementals can bleed, and ice elementals can be chilled. I’m fine if things are immune to certain conditions, but only if they go all the way.

Like was said above the idea of giving WvW is great, but really what do you do to it to increase the experience? The objective based WvW is a bad idea because it’ll just get capped at night. If you think it’s a zerg fest now, just wait until you give the zerg one objective to win the game. Biggest zerg wins.

As for pvp, most of the mini games they introduce are pvp. They’ve said in the past that minigames CAN become future game modes. But none of the Spvp players actually play the minigames to decide if they like the game modes or not.

The importan fact here is that Anet stated that it will be your personal Nemesis, which indicates that players had to have contact whit her/him at some point in the past and did something to make her/him your nemesis, which exclude any character from book that didnt appear in game and had no contact whit player, also it have to be a character that have a reson to become your nemesis.

And even tho it suck, Anet cant mix PS whit LS cus ther is many players that didnt finish yet PS and it would be a major surprise spoiler for them, not to mention that any new player that missed this LS part wouldnt know about a fact that specific character from PS is evil cus its not mentioned in actual PS.

p.s. and yea tbh Anise was always suspicious to me throu the whole PS and she maybe ploting something but that would be only in actual future PS expansion.

p.s.s. than again if it have to be someone that the player know but is not conected to PS than i have no idea who could it be. Anise being a Scarlet would be a first plot twist in gw2 story but as i mentioned above its not possible.

And that’s the problem. It’s not my story. It’s not your story. It’s everybody’s story. and everybody is not at the same point in the story, so the LS can not intersect with the PS.

IMO the LS should be on a timeline where it’s understood that these events take place after the death of Zhaitan. Even if you do it before the final PS mission.

Jennah and those guys wouldn’t know about your promotions in the Orders, seeing as you leave Kryta when you join them. And it’s not like you’re pen pals with them either, so the only real connection you still have with them is level 1-30 PS.

I’m pretty sure the queen of Kryta would know about the pact and the higher level officers within it. Anet just doesn’t want to place the LS on a timeline if players may not have completed their PS yet. So it cant be mentioned you’re part of the pact, and Rytlock still has to hate Logan, even though they’ve already made up.

I read a thread that said they do recognize you. I didn’t do flame and frost, and I never met them. So when they didn’t know who I was, I didn’t think anything of it.

I think the search for the weapon master type people at level 80 for special and flashy skills would give level 80’s something more to do and give them the feeling that they are still progressing after level 80.

They’ll all just wiki it, find them in a day, and be done with it.

But it would give more class variety with the different skills. I like it.

What if the person is Cadecous. He doesn’t have a huge involvement in the personal story is for humans during the first like 5 levels of it. He isn’t seen in game at all except for the dungeon and in one area in DR (queen jennahs room).

It would make sense, if the Watchwork creations were based off Uzolan’s cribbing off Snaff’s work . . . it would explain why the asuran emissary was unsettled by the Watchwork guardian at the beginning of the Opening Ceremony.

Uzolan has already been making personal golems for awhile. Besides we learn in CM that uzolan is connected to the human separatists and not the aetherblades.

As for the asura, he probably assumed humans wern’t nearly as advanced to be creating golem-like things. He was probably taken by surprised.

Although clockwork is a sign of Uzolan’s handiwork. It could be possible that the watchnights and the aetherblades are unconnected, and the aetherblades just saw an opportunity when the watchknights started to “malfunction”.

Karma merchants in orr/fireheart rise.

The nightmare court is a specific set of ideals that some sylvari have. Why cant a sylvari be evil without being a part of the court? Sylvari are shaped by the world around them, one could easily do that.

Actually if you think about sylvari, it’s kind of sad. We throw what are essentially children into the world to find their own way. Its no wonder some of them come out bad.

Tara Strong is awesome as well, she’s got really good range for all of the characters she’s voiced through the years.

I really like Tara Strong, but she always sounds like some combination of Raven and Timmy Turner, to me.

(I mostly like her for Presea in Tales of Symphonia… who sounded like Raven that occasionally was pretending to be Timmy Turner)

Yeah she uses the same voice for most characters. But that’s why it’s so easy to notice her.
